Does Joey Kramer deserve to play with Aerosmith at Musicares and at the Grammy’s this weekend? Yes, absolutely… I’m siding with Kramer 100%…

Well this is interesting… there’s a new feud heating up with the guys in the band Aerosmith. Aerosmith is no stranger to not getting along with their own bandmaters past and present.

This time the band is feuding with their former drummer, Joey Kramer over whether or not Joey will be good enough to play at MusiCares and the Grammy’s this weekend after dealing with injuries.

After reading about this new feud Kramer filed a lawsuit against the other guys in the band Aerosmith ’cause they wouldn’t allow Kramer to perform with them at MusiCares and the Grammy’s this weekend. Why? It’s because the other guys in the band thinks he no longer has it anymore with the drums after dealing with minor injuries which forced Kramer to pull out several Aerosmith shows in the past. The band claims that there was not enough preparation for Kramer to rehearse with the band; however, Kramer says he did everything he could to prove that he still got it on the drums but the band won’t let him in no matter what Kramer says or does.

Kramer tried to make it to rehearsal at the Grammy’s but was denied entry by security hired by the band themselves.

Kramer filed the lawsuit but the judge rejects it… the judge clearly siding with the band agreeing with them about not enough preparation for rehearsal.

This is totally wrong and unfair. I’m siding with Joey on this 100%. I mean, Joey was the founding member of Aerosmith… he was there at the beginning during the band’s formation when they were first starting out. It was Steven and Tom who first recruited Joey when they were forming. On top of that, it was Joey Kramer himself who came up with the Aerosmith band name. Joey’s been in the band for 50 years and helped create the band’s biggest hits and this is how the band treats him?

I just think the band are just upset at Joey ’cause he missed several shows due to injuries and this is their payback. That’s the thing with the music industry and playing in bands… you’re gonna deal with a lot of huge egos, backstabbing, betrayal, drama, etc. That’s what I think is going on here is that the other guys in Aerosmith just betrayed Joey. Remember, Aerosmith is no stranger to betraying their own members ’cause they almost betrayed Steven Tyler when they tried to move on without him.

Being a professional musician may sound fun but not always. You’ll deal with a lot of bullshit and a lot of musicians can be assholes too.

I think Joey Kramer did the right thing suing the band and was completely justifiable… it’s a shame the judge sided with the band, though. Truthfully, I think the band paid the judge a lot of money to side with them. Like I said above, I think the band is just upset that Joey missed shows due to injuries. Well they need to get over themselves… they should have supported Joey through his injuries but I guess not. Like I said, bands are assholes and a lot of them can’t be trusted. Lot of ego there and that’s all I see.

Joey was always an important member of Aerosmith and of course, he deserves to celebrate the band’s success over the years at the Grammy’s and MusiCares. Joe Perry has always been a bit of a control freak.

I wish Mr. Kramer well. Aerosmith without Joey behind the kit would be a joke and I think the other guys are making a big mistake. Hope they regret it later.

Aerosmith performed a gig in Israel today, over 50,000 people showed up… Israel needed some entertainment…

There’s a lot of rock bands over the years who had mixed feelings about performing in Israel. As you know, many rock and metal bands are pretty liberal people as well so a lot of famous bands have boycotted playing in Israel since they have so much hatred for that country and sides more with Iran.

I don’t think you’ll ever see Roger Waters performing a concert in Israel at all ’cause he’s an Israel hater and he’s much of a supporter for Iran.

I’m sure other rock music legends have performed in Israel in the past but Aerosmith is more than willing to give Israel some entertainment which is what those people need. Israel is obviously under the threat of Iran so I thank Aerosmith for supporting Israel and putting smiles on their faces since that country is going through some hard times.

It’s a shame that some are against Israel. A lot of bands who turns against Israel and sides with Iran instead should feel ashamed of themselves.

Thanks Aerosmith, makes me a fan of that band even more!

In defense of Steven Tyler’s “National Anthem” at the AFC Championship game…

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, is getting a lot of negative critiques toward his performance of the “National Anthem”, at the AFC Championships game with the Patriots vs. the Ravens. Some of you may be wondering what my thoughts are on his performance.

What are my thoughts? I thought it was an average performance. It didn’t suck, wasn’t great, just average. As in, “okay”.

You see here’s the thing, when special guest famous singers sing the National Anthem at a Football game, everyone expects the performance to be an in your face, great performance. Everyone expects the singing to be absolutely perfect.

This is fuckin’ Steven Tyler here. He’s a rock n’ roll singer, you see. You’re not going to hear an opera or classical voice out of this guy if that’s what you’re expecting. He clearly sang the National Anthem in a rock n’ roll kind of way. He always performed that way, whether he’s performing a band or acapella. That’s just the way he sings. You’re not going to hear a Barry Manilow or a Luciano Pavorotti out of this guy.

True, Steven could have sang it a little better in the beginning but I thought he rocked it some toward the middle, he hit the high notes pretty well which is what I bet nobody else could do.

Still, you need to give him credit for singing for real and not lip syncing. He also didn’t forget the lyrics and didn’t mess up any of the words. It was a little better than Christina Aguilera’s performance that’s for sure.

Steven even did a little scream toward the end there, which is pretty ballsy since it was freezing cold out there, probably, you can see the cold breath coming out of his mouth. I mean, the fans seem to have a good time with him ’cause they were singing along with him toward the end.

The performance wasn’t all that bad, in my opinion.

Report: Steven Tyler falls again, but this time in a hotel shower…

*sigh* Here we go again. Steven Tyler and the band Aerosmith are in Paraguay for the start of their international tour. Steven was staying at a hotel in Asuncion, and fell while taking a shower. It was a brutal fall. Blood was everywhere and Steve knocked out several teeth. He was treated at a hospital for injuries.

More on the story, here.

It’s either he isn’t a 100% clean with the drugs & alcohol yet, or he is just getting old. I’m sure this is worrying the other guys in Aerosmith. Hope, Steven’s fall won’t end up cancelling the rest of the tour like it did the last time.

Thought: Why Steven Tyler would make a horrible judge at American Idol…

Yes, Steven Tyler has years of experience with music but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good American Idol judge. Why would he suck at being the judge?

Here are some reasons why:

  • He would give positive feedback to any Idol singer that sings an Aerosmith song whether he/she sings it good or bad. If A.I. does an Aerosmith night, Steven would go crazy.
  • If male singers has a rock n’ roll image or if they sing rock, Steven would be all over that as well.
  • Since Steven loves blues music, singers would try to sing the blues just to impress him.
  • Singers would try to steal Steven Tyler’s image: The long hair, fat lips, fashion, etc.
  • He wouldn’t understand today’s mainstream of music. If you knew Steven’s history with music, he was always about old school.  He always listened to really old rock and old blues. I don’t think he would give honest feedback if a singer sang a song by Britney Spears or Katy Perry.
  • Steven’s ego would hurt the other judges and singers.
  • I don’t see him being a mean judge, I see him being a friendly one.
  • If you watch Steven’s interviews on TV and the internet, you can see that he comes up with crazy answers ’cause he likes the attention with the media.
  • He would be smiling and laughing like he always does.
  • I can see him going on and on and on about him comparing other singers voices to his own singing voice.

There you go. We’ll see how long he lasts on the show.

BREAKING NEWS: Steven Tyler officially joins “American Idol”…

The deal is done. Steven Tyler is officially the new judge of, “American Idol”.

More on it here:

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38753952/ns/today-entertainment/

You gotta wonder if he’ll be a mean judge or a nice one? Either way I don’t care. I don’t see Steven lasting long in American Idol. More drama out of this guy will happen which may cause him to get fired or quit.
