Thoughts on Mike Tyson airplane fight… why would you want to mess with a pro fighter to begin with???

Everybody’s talking about this, Iron Mike Tyson, boxing legend repeatedly punching someone on an airplane. I’m sure Iron Mike didn’t start it ’cause he seems like a type of guy that wouldn’t start fights with people unless he was provoked first. Iron Mike just wanted to peacefully ride on a flight like everyone else and didn’t want to be bothered but of course, some punk 20 something kid sitting behind Mike decided to mess with him.

My question is, why would you want to mess with Iron Mike? Mike is a huge dude and tough in real life. You saw how he fought in the ring in his past career and Mike is still tough as nails in real life. If you’re thinking about messing with Iron Mike Tyson in public then you might want to think twice for doing so. Probably not a good idea. The kid probably deserved it and had it coming anyway.

Why would you want to start something with a pro boxer, pro MMA fighters or even a pro wrestler??? Yeah, pro wrestling is fake but still a lot of pro wrestlers are still tough as nails. You wouldn’t want to mess with any of ’em.

My guess as to why some punks would want to mess with pro athletes is for attention really. They’re curious to see how they would react…. desperate to get their attention and things like that.

Whether you like these fighters and athletes or not, you don’t start a scene with them in public ’cause I would think you would get a pretty good lesson by them, a pretty good ass kicking. Sure most of these fighters would keep “fights” in the ring or in a MMA cage only but I’m sure they would react physically if they feel threatened.

If you see these pro fighters or wrestlers out in public, it’s best to leave them alone ’cause you’ll get something you’ll regret.

Thoughts on the Superbowl Halftime show of those rap artists and quick review of the game itself…

Okay some of you want to know my thoughts on the Superbowl last night. Yes, I did watch it… the whole thing.

First I wanna give my thoughts on the Superbowl Halftime performance of all those rappers. Everybody’s going off of how “great” it really was but I’m gonna be a bit honest and say that it was “so” and “so”. I thought Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige were the best… in my opinion, I think the Superbowl Halftime show should have just been them three… 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem were not needed… I didn’t really care for those three guys but Dre, Snoop and Mary J…. YES! I know I know, some of you may be shocked that I liked Snoop since he is pretty left wing and a Trump hater himself but that’s okay. It was about the music for me, ya know and I thought Snoop was amazing and impressive last night. I’m not afraid to admit that Snoop is an amazing live performer and always has been. Dre too. I don’t know much about Mary J. but I think I’m gonna get into her music more and would like to start getting her albums. I actually loved her last night really.

Eminem? He’s a douche, I don’t like him anymore and it isn’t just politics that made me lost interest in him. I used to be a fan of of Eminem when I was younger, it’s just that his music is no longer interesting, ya know? I used to buy Eminem albums but I stopped.

As for the game itself, The Rams vs. The Bengals, I thought it was a great game. I was rooting for the Bengals myself ’cause they just made their Superbowl debut. The Bengals were newcomers to the Superbowl and toward the end of the game, I thought they had the game won but the Rams got ahead of them on the last minute. It was a very close game but very good.

and oh yeah, why was the Rock there last night? Well there’s a lot of complainers about that one and I wanna defend that one a little bit. The reason he was there is ’cause the stadium that last night’s Superbowl was at is gonna be the same stadium this year’s Wrestlemania is gonna be. The Rock was there not only to build up some hype for last night’s game but also build some hype for this year’s Wrestlemania. He was there for a “marketing” kind of thing, ya know? Crazy how a lot of people nowadays don’t understand wrestling.

It was an interesting Superbowl this year.

Who cares if Mel Gibson is a conservative and Trump supporter, good for him, actually!!!

The famous actor and director Mel Gibson is in a leftist backlash, simply because a video surfaced online of the actor attending the UFC ppv over the weekend. Yeah, Mel went to UFC 264 which had Poirier vs. McGregor 3 as the main event. The short video that surfaced the internet showed Donald Trump walking through the crowd with of course, Dana White in front of him. Mel was in the crowd himself, close by to Trump and when it appears that Trump stopped to face Mel, the actor saluted the former president.

That sends the leftist internet in an uproar, sure enough. The internet went crazy about it.

The thing is, Mel being a possible conservative is nothing new. While the actor dropped a few hints of his conservative views here and there over the years, he has never really went public about his political views. I think he just dropped even more hints that he maybe conservative and hiding in the “conservative” closet. Mel just gave even more clues that he maybe a Trump supporter as well.

Of course, Mel is getting attacked for it pretty badly. Believe it or not, there are many more conservative actors out there… they just don’t go public with their conservative views ’cause they’re afraid their acting careers would come to an end ’cause of it. If actors publicly came out as conservative… no agencies would sign them, studios wouldn’t work with them and neither would directors. I remember James Woods saying on twitter that he doesn’t really work in Hollywood anymore ’cause he came out as conservative and all that stuff. The Star Wars, “Mandalorian” actress Gina Carano just got cancelled from that show ’cause of her conservative views.

I find nothing wrong with Mel being conservative and like I repeatedly said there are plenty more out there. I wish they would all speak out more, though ’cause they really need to fight back at leftist Hollywood.

I like Mel Gibson, always been a fan of his work. Sure, he’s done some and said some terrible things in the past but I believe in this thing called “forgive and forget”. Well, not many believes in that anymore. There are too many assholes out there who don’t believe in forgiveness… well I do. We all make mistakes, we’re human.

Anyway, Mel’s a cool cat, I find nothing wrong with him in my eyes and I just love that he’s a big UFC fan too. Mel’s made a mistake in the past, he learned from them and got himself better over the years so get over it y’all but of course, most people never will.

Bringing Adam Levine into this J-Lo and Shakira debate is silly and stupid, now here’s a rant about it…

This post might be kind of controversial and might upset a few but I don’t give a flyin’ two shits. It’s my blog so I post whatever I want.

Yes, I did watch the Superbowl Halftime performance with J-Lo and Shakira… was the performance inappropriate like everyone is saying? Yes, it absolutely was and here’s why… the NFL Superbowl games is something for the whole family to watch so that means people of all ages will be watching the game and that includes children. I find it a huge mistake of the NFL booking all these female pop-stars ’cause you can betcha there will be a plenty of booty shaking and twerking all over… stripper pole dancing, inappropriate dance moves with the other dancers such as “grinding” and all that stuff. Well, you get the deal… we’ve seen all that with female pop stars over the years… w/ Janet, Katy Perry, etc.

This isn’t something we should be watching on family TV at all. Sure, nothing wrong with women dressing sexy and doing all kinds of dirty dancing on stage but leave that for the strip clubs. We don’t need to see that on a family friendly sporting event. Not only that children will be watching, there will also be plenty of older people ages 50 or older who don’t need to be seeing all that.

Yeah, Shakira and J-Lo showed a bit too much skin and their asses were hanging out a bit but at least they had their breasts covered, I’ll give them that.

Since the day after the Superbowl, all I’m seeing now is leftist-women defending the Superbowl performance… saying all kinds of bullshit like Shakira and J-Lo are courageous for dressing sexy over 40 and calling them “courageous”. Leftist women in social media are trying all they can to defend that performance and I laughed when they brought Adam Levine into it. That’s the best defense they can come up with? Their complaint was that Adam Levine took off his shirt and performed shirtless yet there is no outrage.

Hmmmmm… why was there no outrage when Adam Levine performed shirtless when Maroon 5 played the Superbowl? Well, it’s completely normal and completely legal for men to go shirtless in public. A man’s chest is not a private part… a woman’s chest is. So there is nothing wrong with Adam performing with no shirt. It was pretty normal. I thought it was silly that Adam Levine was brought into this when it’s completely unfair and wrong… I look at it as feminist women just showing their hatred for men and nothing more.

These are the same women that tell men to stop objectifying women… yep, the same women that tell men to stop treating them like objects.. because of feminism we can’t say how hot a woman is anymore and we can no longer flirt with them or else we’ll get yelled at by them or worse get slapped with a sexual harassment charge… thanks to all this “me too” stuff going on… trying to destroy everything about the “man”.

Yet these leftist women are defending these pop stars looking like strippers.

Yup, these leftist woman are such “champions” for women and don’t want them to be treated like objects but the pop music industry objectifies women all the time. It’s all over the industry. It’s not just in music. Objectifying women is all over the movies, the porn industry and everywhere else you look at.

These are the same women that begs for equal pay and thinks abortion is health care.

I have no problem with leftist women enjoying that performance… that’s their prerogative but when they brought Adam Levine into this that’s what bothered me and now I feel like I have to rant about it.

Yeah they are such champions for women… yell at men to stop objectifying them, yet they have no problem with the NFL objectifying Shakira and J-Lo. Hmmmm… something wrong with that picture here.

Yes, I did watch the Superbowl last night and it was great… most exciting Superbowl game in a long long time…

I stopped watching the Superbowl for a few years since all that kneeling to the National Anthem was going on in the NFL. Now that the NFL seems to have put a stop to all that kneeling completely it looks like, I thought I would give them a chance.

I ended up watching the game last night. Watched the whole thing from start to finish… watched all the commercials too and yes watched the Superbowl Halftime show with Shakira & J-Lo.

As far as the game itself goes the 49’ers vs. The Chiefs, it really was a pretty thrilling game like everyone was saying. It definitely was one of the most exciting Superbowl games in a long long time. I never was much of a fan of the NFL in the past but watching that game last night made me respect the NFL again just a little more and I might watch more NFL next year. Both teams the 49’ers vs. The Chiefs, made sure the game wasn’t going to be boring at all. Both teams played really hard yesterday evening and both teams were on fire. Both teams really showed that they really were in it to “win it” and did whatever it took to win it.

Every Superbowl game is not always gonna be great, some are gonna be great, some are gonna be okay and some are gonna be bad. Well last night’s game is gonna go down in the history books for sure. I knew it was going to be a very close game and you never knew who was going to win that one. In the beginning, I thought for sure that the 49’ers were going to win but the Chiefs caught up toward the end and destroyed them bad. That was a shocker really. The game was really good and just made me appreciate football a little more. Glad I watched it ’cause if it turned out to be a boring as hell game, I probably would have walked away from the TV to do something else instead but since the game ended up turning out so exciting, I watched it from start to finish.

Who was I rooting for? I didn’t care really. I thought both teams did a great job. I was happy for both of them so I’m not on one side at all.

As far as the commercials go, there were some pretty cool movie trailers like Fast 9, Top Gun: Maverick and Black Widow… which I look forward to seeing all three of them.

As far as my thoughts on the Superbowl Halftime performance with J-Lo and Shakira, the only thing that I liked about it was that I liked that Shakira honored Led Zeppelin by having the violins play the Kashmir riff. I caught that and thought it was cool. Other than that, though, it was the worst Superbowl halftime performance I’ve ever seen. Guess I’m not into that type of music much.

I do agree with what everyone is saying about that performance being too inappropriate for the NFL… ya know, all the booty shaking, the pole dancing, the twerking and them looking like strippers. I’ll have another post about this soon. It’s gonna be rant and gotta get it out of me.

Other than that, it was a great Superbowl game for the most part.

RIP: Kobe and Gianna Bryant…

kobe-bryant-gianna.jpg

Like most I’m heartbroken and sad about this news myself. The tragedy of basketball icon Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, getting killed in a helicopter crash along with several other passengers. I was never much of an NBA fan and don’t really care for basketball at all but this is very sad and tragic.

Kobe was an icon in the NBA and was one of the greats. Thoughts and prayers go out to Vanessa Bryant and the surviving daughters of the Bryant family. Kobe (41) and Gianna (13) were both too young. They both had a long life ahead of them. What’s most heartbreaking about this is that this family just had a newborn baby and she’s going to have to grow up without a father now.

Yeah, life is short but keep in mind that famous people & sports figures… they are real people like the rest of us. Plane crashes and helicopter crashes are both quite common. Plane and helicopter crashes have killed many famous people over the years. Being famous may sound fun but it can be very dangerous with all that travelling they do… being on the road all the time and travelling through the sky a lot. Plane and helicopter crashes can happen.

Like most, I was shocked and felt a little devastated even though I’m not much of an NBA fan. Losing Kobe is a sad loss in America. RIP Kobe and Gianna. This is gonna be a tough week.

Well, I finally joined the USAPL powerlifting federation… I decided to do it after all!!!!

Well y’all, I actually did it this week. I joined the USAPL. My powerlifting career officially begins. It was $65 for registration fee and if I ever did my first USAPL meet, I would be competing in the Masters Division since I’m an over 40 lifter.

Yeah, doing powerlifting meets is gonna be expensive… the admission fee to compete in USAPL meets could cost around $60 – $100 or more. Powerlifting might be “pricey” yes but hey, like they all say “You can only live once”… which is true. Since you can only live once, I wanna do “great” things in my life and powerlifting is my calling. Powerlifting gives me something to do and makes me feel like an athletic person.

When I start doing USAPL meets like the instagram post says I’m only gonna do like 1 or 2 powerlifting meets a year… maybe 3 if I get lucky. For now, I’m only going to do local and state meets for the USAPL.

Will I ever compete on the bigger national meets like the RAW Nationals like they have every year? Yes, I will absolutely compete on the RAW Nationals someday but I’m not gonna rush on that one and gonna take my time. I’m not gonna compete on the RAW Nationals until I start hitting the bigger weights. When I start hitting over 500 lbs. on the squats, bench and deadlift maybe I’ll start thinking about the RAW Nationals but I don’t want to get too ahead of myself. I also want to compete for the Arnold Festival too someday but I’m not gonna rush on that either.

I’m just gonna start small and build my way up. I’m hoping to be one of the greats in powerlifting someday so I joined the USAPL in hopes of making that dream come true.

So when will be my first USAPL powerlifting meet??? I don’t know. I’m thinking about doing the Northeast Ironbeast in Loudonville, NY in Jan. I’m nursing a left leg injury so I’m hoping it heels all the way before then. I’m sure it will. I’m still trying to recover from the left leg injury completely. I skipped leg day last week and will skip lower body workouts this week too so I can give it more time to heal ’cause I want the injury gone for good. My left leg has gotten better, though. I still feel it a little bit and still feeling a little leg weakness but I’m not gonna go back to lower body workouts until I don’t feel it at all.

Whenever I do heal completely and fully, I’m going to train real hard on deadlift and squats.

Now that I’m a USAPL member, I’m going to have to take some time to read their powerlifting rulebook ’cause it’s important.

Yeah, powerlifting is my new lifestyle and I’m glad to be a part of the community. My numbers for deadlift, squats and bench maybe kind of small right now but give it time, I’ll build them up real soon. Building strength will take some time.

Powerlifting really is a blast. Love it so much, I can see why the sport is getting so popular and exploding nowadays. It’s a blast to show off what you can do and it’s fun to watch other lifters as well. I want to win and kick ass in powerlifting. Win all kinds of trophies and medals, break state and world records. Get ready, y’all. This is only the beginning. So happy that I found a sport that I do.

Dee Snider calls out the NFL for ignoring “metal” again for Superbowl Halftime… finally someone who gets it!!!!

So Jennifer Lopez and Shakira both has been announced for this year’s Superbowl halftime performance. Really? Another pop artist, hey? The NFL used to be good at having rock n’ roll bands performing the Superbowl in the past but a lot lately, they’ve been having pop artists take the Superbowl halftime slot like Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, etc.

Yeah, I know… the metal genre has been ignored a lot by the industry. The metal genre is slowly picking up at the Grammy Awards and the genre is picking up at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame very slowly as well. The Superbowl? Metal bands aren’t getting shit and Dee Snider is not happy about it.

https://ultimateclassicrock.com/dee-snider-super-bowl-halftime-show/?fbclid=IwAR2Cdn9ylLo51EiirnhboQX-U5m6Cg1XkYVM6FlmxdZrrWD-Z2jvg1OdOA8

He’s not wrong at all ’cause there are plenty of iconic metal bands that would be great for Superbowl halftime shows. Bands that totally deserve to play Halftime are Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Van Halen and KISS I can name that would be great for Superbowl Halftime.

If there is any band that deserves to play Halftime more than all the others, I would say Metallica for sure. That band has accomplished so much in the industry… they accomplished everything except for one thing they never did yet… play Superbowl Halftime.

Why does metal keep getting ignored by the NFL? Are they afraid of controversy? Probably. Metal is always getting judged and criticized of being too dark and satanic and all that stuff… maybe that’s what they’re afraid of. Things like that, ya know?

Why does the NFL keep having pop artists every year? I think they are deluded into them thinking that’s what everyone wants to see when it’s not true. We just want the NFL to mix it up and have something for everyone.

Even though metal is still pretty big, the industry continues to ignore metal for whatever reason. Everyone is still so hung up on pop and country ’cause those two genres are still dominating. Why? It’s because pop and country are huge money makers.

I used to be excited for Superbowl halftime performances but nowadays I don’t care anymore. Sad. I haven’t been watching the Superbowl for the last few years anyways due to all the kneeling and shit. Football is boring anyways, I don’t watch it.

If Metallica ever got the opportunity to perform the Superbowl Halftime, I would watch of course and never say never of them getting that.

Busting another powerlifting myth I see out there… powerlifting isn’t a skinny man’s sport? lmao…

During that debate on the Tnation forum in the powerlifting section, some dude told me that I looked skinny which I’ll take as a compliment, btw. The dude told me I needed to add some weight on me and put on some muscle. I didn’t bother replying to that guy but in my head, I was saying to myself, “Dude, I’ve been lifting weights in the gym for over 10 years and I don’t look muscular enough to you?”.

I’ve had many people tell me in person that I’m getting bigger in bodybuilding training and lots of people have told me that I’m getting all jacked up. People tell me these things to my face instead of online. I get positive feedback on my physique all the time. Yes, I’m going to get some critics on my physique but that’s okay.

There’s a ridiculous myth going around that “Powerlifting isn’t a skinny man’s sport”. Some people think powerlifting is for “big men” only. That’s just another ridiculous lie going around.

After watching three powerlifting meets and watching a bunch of live powerlifting meets online, I’ve seen plenty of skinny men competing. You’ll see skinny guys lifting the big ones… anywhere from 400 – 600 lbs. It’s insane. You see powerlifting is for everyone in all shapes and sizes.

The days of fat asses and overweight powerlifters are over. Some people think powerlifting is for fat asses only but that’s how powerlifting was in the old days. Ya know, I think the fitness and bodybuilding community have picked up on powerlifting. There’s even a lot of bodybuilders who have picked up on powerlifting too. It’s not just for fat men.

I believe powerlifting have gone mainstream. Nobody cares about bodybuilding anymore. Bodybuilding is a dying industry and it seems that everybody have switched to powerlifting including me. It’s amazing to see really. Everywhere in America you’ll see more powerlifting meets even in your hometown. You can love or hate powerlifting all you want to but the sport is exploding in America. It’s getting bigger and bigger.

I’m glad to be on this powerlifting journey. I wished I discovered powerlifting years ago.

Kev

Next week will be “p.r.” max out week… getting prepared for my next powerlifting meet!!!

My lifting is going really good. I have another powerlifting meet coming at the end of March so I’m getting prepared for that and taking this one seriously. I’ve been training hard for it for weeks. I haven’t done my 1 rep maxes and tested out my pr’s on bench, squat and deadlift in a long while so I’m going to do all that next week so I can practice my 3 attempts for each lift. At the next powerlifting meet, I want it to be my best day. I don’t want to miss any lifts and don’t want to get “red lights” at all. So I’m doing my very best on all three lifts.

On my last squats session, I was able to lift 135 lbs. for three reps which was great and something I never done before. So I’m predicting my “p.r.” on squats could be about 145 or 150, we’ll see.

For bench, I’m not sure what my latest p.r. on that is yet but I have been lifting 155 lbs. on my p.r. on that for a while so I’m hoping to be 160 or a little over.

For deadlift, while I didn’t max out today, I did do one heavy single at the end of my set which was 285 lbs. That lift was easy and a piece of cake. If I was able to lock out on that easy then that means I’ll probably smash 300 lbs. again and maybe more hopefully. We’ll see.

I want my total number of pounds to be higher at the next meet and I’m trying all I can.

I’m doing all I can now to make my deadlifts stronger. Lately, I’ve been doing bent over barbell rows, farmer’s walk with dumbbells (to help improve grip strength) and the barbell hip thrusts (for glutes). I’ve added these workouts to my program so I can improve my deadlifting and get stronger on that. Strong glutes are important and I’ve started doing workouts for the glutes ’cause having strong glutes will help improve squats and deadlifts. If you want a bigger deadlift and squats, you gotta have a strong ass and build your ass up as well. I’ve also gotten back into doing leg presses ’cause that helps improves deadlift and squats too.

I’m doing all I can to make my next powerlifting meet a great day. Each time I do a powerlifting meet, I’ll always want the next one to be better than the last one.

I don’t mean to sound like an egomaniac but I hope to thrill the spectators on this one and put on a freakin’ show.

The week before meet week, I’m going to have to settle down on the weight lifting by lifting lighter ’cause I don’t want to lose my strength. I want to save myself for March 30th so I can deadlift the big 300 lbs. or a little more.

Next week, I’m going to max out on all three lifts to find out my latest pr’s and after that, that’s it for a while until meet day. I learned that you don’t want to max out too often and that’s what I’m gonna do.

Getting stoked for my next powerlifting meet, though. They are a blast and I can see why it’s getting so popular and mainstream. Glad I got into powerlifting. I am getting stronger and stronger each week and lifting bigger weights every time.

Kev
