Report: Look like Spielberg’s first film with Dreamworks/Disney will be “Tin Tin”…

An editor at Variety had a back and forth private e-mail chat with Steven Spielberg himself, discussing the Dreamworks/Disney deal. Look like Spielberg plans to release “Tin Tin” with it first, he’ll be directing that movie very soon. “Tin Tin” is adapted from the comic hero, “The Adventures of Tin Tin”.

According to an earlier news report at MTV News…Jamie Bell is set to star as Tin Tin, and Daniel Craig is also set star in the film as well.

I’m sure Spielberg will make a great “Tin Tin” movie, as I was a fan of the character when I was a kid.

Spielberg also has his movie about, President Abraham Lincoln planned and of course, the movie with Will Smith, “Old Boy”. I wonder if he’ll release those two films through Disney as well. Spielberg plans to do live action films only. He doesn’t say anything about animated films in the article.

I think Spielberg has finally grown tired of making films for adults that he wants to get back to making movies for kids again like he did in the 80’s and early 90’s.

My top ten favorite Spielberg films are here:

  1. Schindler’s List
  2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
  3. War of the Worlds
  4. E.T.
  5. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  6. Jaws
  7. The Terminal
  8. The Color Purple
  9. Minority Report
  10. Amistad

I don’t really care for “Saving Private Ryan”, it’s a bit overrated and there are better war films than that, in my opinion.

Confirmed: Spielberg signs deal with Walt Disney to distribute six films…

It’s official. Steven Spielberg has inked a deal with Walt Disney pictures to distribute six films with his Dreamworks production company. Knowing how most Steven Spielberg films are aimed toward young children and for family, it is no surprise to me that Spielberg will one day make movies with Disney and it finally happened.

Lets see if Spielberg’s next directed film he’s doing with Will Smith very soon, “Old Boy”, will be a Disney movie. It probably will. I’m not sure what other films Steven may release with Disney, he will probably direct or produce more family live action films or he may do animated films too.

Does this mean that Spielberg’s next movie he’s making with Will Smith, “Old Boy”, will be released under, Walt Disney? Wouldn’t surprise me.

Confirmed: Will Smith and Steven Spielberg teaming up for “Oldboy” official!!!

As reported earlier, Will Smith and Steven Spielberg, two movie giants were in talks of teaming up to remake “Oldboy”. MTV Movies Blog confirmed the news that it is now official that they are teaming up. It is actually going to happen. Will Smith doing his first film with the legendary Spielberg. One thing though, that Will Smith himself points out that Spielberg’s version is NOT a remake of the 2003 Korean version. Spielberg’s version will be strictly adapted from the original comics.

Report: Spielberg and Will Smith to remake “Oldboy”?

Will Smith may finally get his chance in doing a film with Steven Spielberg. Smith and Spielberg never did a movie together. Universal Studios is in negotiations with Steven Spielberg to direct and Will Smith to star the lead in the remake of “Oldboy” which Dreamworks is in the process of securing the remake rights.

“Oldboy” is a 2003 Korean film which is about a man who gets kidnapped and gets held in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. Suddenly, he is released, been given money, clothes, and a cell phone, and vows to get revenge on whoever destroyed his life.

Spielberg had always wanted to make a film with Will Smith and the opportunity may actually happen.

I’ve always wanted to see Spielberg and Smith work together too. This is going to be cool. Looking forward to it.

Report: George Lucas still moving ahead with Indy 5…

Harrison Ford says that George Lucas is in “thinking mode” for Indy 5. Lucas is serious about doing Indy 5 and continues to move forward. Ford speaks out on the status for Indy 5 with LA Times, giving hints that it’s definitely gonna happen and Ford seems to be game to continue to play Indy, but Ford refuses to do voice overs for an animated Indy film.

After Lucas doing “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated film, he now has an “Indiana Jones” animated film in the planning stages.

“Indy and the Crystal Skull” will be hitting DVD/Blu Ray Oct. 14th, so be on the lookout for that.

More on it here:

The more Indy, the better! I fucking love Indiana Jones. “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was amazing, I loved the film to death.

The film did leave open for another movie, bring it on George!
