REMINDER: Robin Williams to guest star on “Law and Order: SVU” this Tuesday…

Not only Grand Theft Auto IV hits stores that day, the “Law and Order: SVU” episode that guest stars Robin Williams will air on NBC this Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.

I don’t know if I’m gonna be watching that or not, I may just record it because I have feeling I’ll be addicted to GTA IV and will probably be playing that game all evening and night.

Robin Williams being on that show will indeed score high ratings for “Law and Order: SVU”. It’s his first TV appearance in many years and it will be people’s one time opportunity to see Robin Williams on TV for free instead of paying to see him on the big screen.

It shall be a good episode and of course he will deliver an incredible performance because Robin can play any role that throws at him no matter what it is.

Looking forward to seeing it.

Report: Spike TV nail down Rambo franchise…

Spike TV has worked a deal with Lionsgate studios and bought the new “Rambo” film to air on the TV channel in the future. Spike bought the new “Rambo” for $4.5 million. Spike also picked up the first three “Rambo” films from CBS TV Distribution. My guess is that Spike TV wants to have a Rambo marathon, to air all 4 “Rambo’s” in a row in one day.

Variety Reports:

Since I already own the first 3 Rambo’s on DVD and I’ll soon own the new Rambo when it comes out for BluRay May 27th, I won’t need to watch this on cable TV.

But it’s no surprise to me that Spike TV will want to air the new Rambo since that TV channel loves to hype that film to death before it was out in theater.

Report: Viacom, MGM, and Lionsgate team up to launch new TV channel to air movies new and old…

Three major companies Viacom, MGM, and Lionsgate will team up to launch a TV movie channel where it wil air new and old movies that were made through any of those companies. The channel will even air new movies such as “Iron Man”, “G.I. Joe”, etc. Including the classic ones like “Dirty Dancing” and others. The channel is expected to launch in the fall of 2009. This channel will be similar to HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc. A pay channel for cable movies.

Am I reading this correctly? The channel plans on airing new movies before they are even out in theater?

If so, bad idea. The channel won’t last long because it’ll help make the new movies bomb in theater because they are being aired on TV.

Report: Biggest Loser, Big ratings on NBC for it’s finale…

The NBC hit show “The Biggest Loser” scored really high ratings on last Tuesday’s 2 hr finale, the show did 11.2 million viewers coming right up behind “Law and Order: SVU” which is the top show on NBC right now.

The “Biggest Loser” is hosted by Alison Sweeney, who also plays the role of Samantha Roberts in the daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives”.

Variety Reports:

I think this calls for Alison of retiring “Days of Our Lives” to do more Prime Time shows. It’s a fact that Alison made the show “The Biggest Loser” a hit. Alison is pretty popular and I’m betting it’s mostly her fans that tuned in to watch her.

Alison Sweeney is not that well known yet but she will be a big star pretty quickly.

BREAKING NEWS: Priscilla Presley sent home from “Dancing with the Stars”…

I’m sure everyone was expecting Priscilla Presley to win the entire “Dancing with the Stars”, the smash hit TV show, but think again. Shockingly, Priscilla Presley was booted off last night’s show. Heh, they don’t even give a shit if it’s Elvis’s wife, they gotta keep everything real and get the job done.

More on it here:

http://www.nme.com/news/elvis-presley/35974

I’m sure the only reason she did that show was for Elvis anyway. I’m sure she was seeing herself dancing with Elvis instead of the celebrity she danced with on the show the entire time.

I never watched “Dancing with the Stars” and never plan to ’cause the show never interested me. I was curious on how Priscilla was going to do on it though.

I don’t watch hardily any TV but just a very few shows.

Report: Bryant Gumbel leaves NFL Network…

Bryant Gumbel has announced that he is leaving the NFL Network after 2 years being a play by play announcer for the show. Bryant Gumbel is still currently hosting “HBO’s Real Sports” on HBO.

Those who don’t know who Bryant Gumbel is, he is the former head news anchor for the “Today Show”, he retired from the “Today Show” way back in 1997, that’s when Matt Lauer took his place.

Report: Katie Couric to take over Anderson Cooper?

The reason I had never posted news about the Katie Couric controversy yet, ’cause I’m simply confused. Is she really leaving CBS or not? The rumours are swirling all over the place. And so far, Katie Couric herself has not yet came out to confirm it. If it’s true that Katie is leaving CBS this soon, she could be switching jobs with Anderson Cooper’s show.

More on it here:

Ratings, ratings, ratings….blech…that’s all TV fuckin’ cares about.

CNN shouldn’t get their hopes up this early ’cause Katie Couric leaving CBS is just a big fucking rumour right now. Katie should leave CBS and not work with CNN. She certainly deserves her own TV show with her name in the title. She’s certainly one of the best female news anchors I’ve ever seen on TV ever.

Katie is sexy and good looking, she’s got a great speaking voice, she has it all. Wish the media would shut up and leave the woman alone. It’s all up to her if she wants to leave or stay in CBS. It’s all up to her if she wants to confirm things to the media. When will people get that through their thick heads.

Report: CBS axed “Secret Talents of the Stars” after one episode…

Did Captain Sulu’s bad singing kill “Secret Talents of the Stars” that was aired on CBS just last Tuesday?

CBS cancelled the show just after one episode.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117983832.html?categoryid=14&cs=1

The show was pretty much crap anyways. The only great thing about it was the Clint Black standup comedy, at least he got the opportunity to do that on TV and to be judged by the “Singing In the Rain” lady Debbie Reynolds.

That one episode will give Clint Black better opportunities for stand up. I hope Clint continues with it.

Cool Video: Clint Black was hilarious LOL!, Captain Sulu sucked at singing…

So I watched the premiere of “Secret Talents of the Stars” last night. I was impressed with Clint Black’s stand up comedy, he was hilarious and he did a great job. Clint got a great response from the judges too and even said Clint will have a huge future in stand up comedy. Clint said he was a humorous guy and always about making people laugh, as I’m sure Clint Black does tell jokes at his country concerts in between songs.

Star Trek’s George Takei who played Captain Sulu had a talent in singing country songs that people were hyping up about, but I tell you, George was horrible. He sang like shit and he looked laughable on stage.

Enjoy these videos from last night’s show on “Secret Talents of the Stars”.

Clint Black’s hilarious stand up performance, seriously, he did great and he did get me laughing!
