Film Review: Man Of Steel

Starring: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburn, Michael Shannon

Directed by: Zack Snyder

Today, I just went to see “Man of Steel”, the new Superman movie by Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. Yes, the wait to see “Man of Steel” is finally over and I finally got to see it today. I went to see it in a cinema in Clifton Park that had RPX screening which had pretty impressive sound and picture. RPX is kind of similar to IMAX but a little different. I never saw a movie in RPX before but it was interesting. Now on with the review:

Plot/synopsis: This film focuses the origins of Superman. It tells the story of a young boy named Clark (or Kal-el) who discovers that he has strange powers everything from lifting heavy objects, x-ray vision and many other powers. He learns that he is not from this Earth and he is from a different planet called, Krypton. He was sent to Earth by his Krypton parents ’cause he was sent here for a reason. He was sent here to save the world from danger and to care for the people. As Clark tries to find out who he is and what he is, he is confronted by an enemy named General Zod (Michael Shannon) who is from his home planet of Krypton. Kal-el must save the planet Earth before the planet gets in total control of Zod.

When Zack Snyder was first hired and was first announced to direct this movie. Everyone was skeptical of him directing this due to his last couple of films that were crap like, “Sucker-Punch”, for example. As the film went along with production and being made, people were still skeptical of Zack directing. There was a huge debate on whether or not Zack has what it takes to make a good Superman movie or not. Over the last few years this movie has been going on, I’ve always believed Zack was the right choice. I always stood by him that he has what it takes to make a good Superman movie. I believed in him and trusted him. I’m glad I did.

Whether you’re a Marvel fan or whether you’re not much of a superhero fan at all, you still need to see “Man of Steel”. “Man of Steel” was the best superhero movie in the last decade. This was such a beautiful film. It is definitely a masterpiece. The visuals and special effects were impressive like Snyder’s visuals usually are impressive. Snyder took his visuals to the next level in this film. Yeah, this movie is full of green screen and CGI but Snyder is the best with this stuff. He certainly knows how to make CGI realistic looking and not cartoonish.

The casting was fantastic. Everybody did a great job. I was most impressed with Kevin Costner’s performance. His performance was very sad and almost brought tears to my eyes. I think Costner deserves an Oscar for supporting actor for this performance alone. Russell Crowe also did an amazing job playing Jor-El. Of course, we have Michael Shannon as General Zod who was menacing and evil like usual. Michael Shannon did a great job of making you wanting to hate him. Amy Adams was great too. Everyone did a good job, even Chris Meloni the “Law and Order” guy.

There were different emotions in this movie. You will get a mix of sadness, enjoyment, and there were even some comedic scenes as well. When the film makers kept saying they were going to make this Superman movie real as possible, it really was. They did a great job depicting of what Superman could be like in real life. That was the whole goal with the movie. Of course, one thing to keep in mind though, that “Man of Steel” felt like the newer comics. Especially the new 52 comics which is probably what the new movie is partly based on.

Even though this film has nothing to do with the Richard Donner films and there is no John Williams theme, I agree that those things aren’t necessary with this film after finally seeing, “Man of Steel”. A different look of Superman is possible and Zack did a good enough job proving it. I think he just redeemed himself for a change. He made everyone happy. I haven’t seen one negative review of “Man of Steel” at all.

This is exactly how you are supposed to make a Superman movie. It needs to be told with heart. Have lots of action. Superman kicking ass. Yeah, the film was very action packed, and it’s a good long 2 and a half hour film. You should like this movie just as much as “The Avengers”. Don’t wait for Blu Ray or DVD for “Man of Steel”, go see it right away this weekend please. You don’t need to see the Christopher Reeve films since this film is a reboot.

Speaking of Christopher Reeve, I wish he was still alive to see this film. I’m sure he would have loved it too! I’m already looking forward to the sequel and the upcoming “Justice League” film. “Man of Steel” really was amazing and I’m definitely buying the BluRay when it comes out. Probably gonna go see it in theater again too!

Two thumbs for “Man of Steel”.

My online President Obama impeachment protests…

When you see people like myself and many other Americans, protesting online voicing our thoughts on trying to get President Obama impeached… usually there are a handful of others that will disagree with us. They don’t like President Obama too much either but they’ll continue to defend him. They would usually accuse us of being uneducated and misinformed. They would usually say stuff that you can’t believe all the accusations thrown at Obama online and in the news that most say that the bad stuff said about Obama over the years were just speculation and “conspiracy theory” bullshit. Well, part of that is true and not true.

It is true that most of Obama’s accusations of crimes and other stuff thrown at him is just speculation and rumors — for example stuff like him being born in Kenya, him being Muslim, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, etc. — I would have to agree that stuff is just speculation for now; however, Obama using drones to kill 4 Americans over seas that also killed a young boy was speculation until the Obama administration confirmed it is true and they confessed to it. Sure enough, Obama claimed he did it to kill those who were a threat to America… and some actually believed him.

The part that is not true  is that all of Obama’s accusations over the years were made up just to make him look bad. You see, when the news reports things and it gets out there… the public will start to see that Obama may have had something to do with these crimes. You can tell that he may have had something to do with everything with his constant lying and possibly covering things up. It’s understandable why the American public want to believe that Obama had nothing to do with these crimes because there is no hard evidence yet to prove his guilt.  Just like he is doing with the IRS and NSA scandals. Lying and trying to cover himself up. First he claims he had nothing to do with the IRS targeting and now he claims he’s doing the spying to try and stop terrorism which I don’t buy at all.

My question is, can’t you blame us for not trusting him? Can’t you blame us for hating him the fact that he might be a murderous and evil person?

You see, when something bad happens in the world whether it will be Benghazi, Fast and Furious, drones, navy Seal deaths or whatever and when Obama decides to stay quiet on that stuff — we’re not gonna stay quiet. When American citizens are being killed overseas, we should be concerned and scared of Obama. If he still refuses to speak about that stuff and refuses to give us answers, how else do you want us to react to that? Sit back and smile? HELL NO! We can tell Obama may have had something to do with violence over seas just by listening to the witnesses during the hearings and the victims families. All that stuff.

We don’t make this stuff up at all. If it gets out there, we react to it. Simple as that. Just like we did to all presidents in the past. Doesn’t matter who the President is, we’re going to call him out if we don’t agree with how he is handling things.  People also say that Obama will never get impeached ’cause the past Presidents didn’t. Yes, it’s true. People protested and rallied for impeachments of past presidents, that includes Reagan — people begged for his impeachment too. I believe that the earlier Presidents didn’t get impeached because it was either: 1) The crimes were too great, it would be difficult to investigate them all 2) Congress is a corrupt government 3) Not enough evidence to prove their guilt.

It’s really weird how people debate in politics in facebook and everywhere else. Honestly, I really hate the “liberals vs. conservatives”. It’s mostly the liberal people who gets all pissed off at the Obama impeachment protests by the conservatives/Republicans. The irony of that is when George W. Bush was president… the democrats/liberals hated him and begged for impeachment. The republicans thought Bush was a great leader. Back and forth, hypocrisy.

I like how Rand Paul says it shouldn’t be about who is democrat or republican, liberal or conservative or whatever — he wants the American people to get together and help fight back at Obama. We all should be into this together. I totally agree. That’s what we’re trying to do here is trying to get the democrats/liberals to join us and help fight for a better country. A better America. If we don’t want Obama to get worse, this is what we must do. Get together and fight back.

Just like most, I’m scared of how America is going to turn out to be in the future. It’s not just Obama that needs a good kick in the ass, it’s the whole government altogether. That includes the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial branch. They’re all evil scum. To be honest, I think the whole government knows everything behind Obama… they’re all helping him too. This whole government is broken and a big mess.

It seems that the only time when we get accused of being misinformed and uneducated is when others have a different thought about things. Both sides are opinionated, it makes you no different. Nobody is smarter than others even though you try to pretend to be. Even if you think Obama is innocent and a good guy, that is not factual either. I had a facebook user just recently told me, “Have fun trying to impeach Obama with no facts behind it”. That’s right, there are no facts behind Obama’s crimes right now and that’s what we’re trying to do. Get the facts and trying to get the truth behind things.

That’s all we want from Obama. Is the truth. He keeps quiet on everything, and how can you believe in a guy and trust someone like that? We’re not trying to accuse him of anything, honestly. Just want the truth. It’s just as simple as that.

When I rant Obama and wanting him impeached — that’s not protesting. I’m no activist. All I’m simply trying to do is trying to bring things to people’s attention that President Obama is not a good guy and he never was. My goal is trying to get people to understand.

Why are Stephen King books so hard to find? Especially the older editions…

Today, I went to the town Library ’cause they were having a book sale there, and I walked out with several books that costed me around $8.00 in total so they gave me a good deal. Two of those books were Stephen King books, “Salem’s Lot”, and the baseball book about the Red Sox, “Faithful”. So I just added two more books to my Stephen King collection. So that means I have two more left to go to complete his entire body of work. The two books of Stephen King’s collection I need left are, “Cujo”, and “Danse Macabre”. Those two books are extremely hard to find.

I don’t really understand this. Why are Stephen King books especially the original editions of his classic books so difficult to find when they shouldn’t be? How come you don’t see original editions of famous novels of any author in new bookstores these days? I have a few ideas of how this maybe…

  • The book industry is dying – I remember in the old days of new bookstores you can easily find original editions of your favorite books just about anywhere — this is how it used to be in the early 90’s. Now the classic novels you want to own original editions from any author — whether it will be Stephen King, Clive Barker, Dean Koonts, Peter Straub, Tom Clancy, Anne Rice, etc. — you can’t find those in the new bookstores. If you wanted to find those books from your favorite authors, the older novels, you have to buy them in paperback or digitally. The book industry started to tank even before the digital age.  If you want to find the original classic editions the only places you’ll find those are either online, used bookshops yard/garage sales, and library book sales.  Since new bookstores don’t sell the classic original editions anymore, that’s how they spreaded across the country and that’s why they are so rare and hard to find today. The older Stephen King books are so rare. I just got lucky finding them at the used bookshops, library book sales or whatever. Getting most of Stephen King’s books didn’t happen over night. It took me years to collect them all ’cause he has too many in his bibliography.
  • The digital age of books is part of the reason – Again, the Nook, Kindle, Ipad, etc. That could be the big reason why nobody cares to buy books on hardcover/paperback anymore.
  • Nobody’s interested in reading those popular authors anymore – In this day and age of books, nobody’s interested in reading Stephen King, Barker, Koonts, Anne Rice, Clancy or John Grisham anymore. Today, kids just want to read stuff like Harry Potter, Twilight, and the 50 Shades of Grey books. That could be the big reason why they don’t sell the original editions of those classic authors at new bookstores anymore. King is still a best selling author but his popularity and recognition kind of tanked. Probably because Stephen King hasn’t put out a good book in the last 10 years with the exception of “Under the Dome” which was his best book in a decade. Seriously, check out “Under the Dome”. Even if that book was pretty long, it’s a real page turner and will keep you hooked ’til the end.
  • Nobody no longer cares how special hardcover books are – The reason there’s a lot of used book shops and library book sales all over the country is that people still have a passion of book collecting. Collecting hardcover and original editions of rare books. People have that addiction. Why? Because actual books can last a lifetime and they can be very valuable. That’s why people stick with paperback or those digital gadget e-readers. They don’t understand how special hardcover books really are. They just don’t care. They’re like, “Why have these annoying hardcovers with the cover jackets when you can read the book digitally?”. That’s the thing, you know. Hardcover books do matter. They were big in the old days ’cause there was no such thing as internet or technology. When you collect hardcover books — the original editions — you not only keep them just for the sake of reading. You keep them as a special collector’s item ’cause you can betcha they will be very valuable down the road. That’s what people are missing. How valuable books can be. That’s why they mistakenly think, “Ah, this is nothing, lets get rid of them.”. Books are very special for a lot of reasons. I thought I explained that before?

So you get the idea and I’m sure you understand my feelings on the book industry. The book industry is crumbling.

As for those other books I bought today at the Library book sale, I’ll list them: Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot”, Stephen King “Faithful”, Christopher Reeve autobiography “Still Me”, Steve Jobs (biography by Walter Isaacs), “President Kennedy” by Richard Reeves, a book about the Civil War, a Richard Nixon biography, and two Barack Obama books “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope”. I know I’m anti-Obama but I’ve been wanting to read those two books just out of curiosity. Most of these books are hardcover except for the Obama books, they’re paperbacks.

As you guys probably noticed, I’ve been doing so much reading on history and politics. See? I’m not freakin’ kidding that I’ve been studying my ass off on this stuff. I’m sure you can probably tell by the way I’ve been talking about politics and government online… so there… yeah, I know my shit and think I’m doing a good enough job proving it.

#HashtagsinFacebook… who cares??? It’s technology people… get over yourselves…

Facebook officially launched hashtags today. For some reason I can’t see hashtags on the PC internet and the Ipad yet but I’m sure it’s available only for people with Iphones and other devices. Sure enough, there’s always going to be people complaining, whining, and bitching about it. Whenever facebook makes new changes, people always complain. Then people will start threatening to deactivate their accounts and they leave facebook. Kind of like a protest thing.

I know how changes in websites frustrates people but keep in mind that the world doesn’t revolve around you. So get over it. That’s the way technology works. Technology changes and evolves. There’s nothing you can do about it. I don’t understand why people get their panties in a bunch about this stuff.

To me, #hashtags are not that big of a deal. It’s just peoples way of speaking their mind in just a few words and you can get straight to the point. It saves you from a headache instead of writing long paragraphs. Of course, hashtags was inspired from twitter. Twitter users started using hashtags in facebook even though they don’t work, and that’s what inspired facebook to make it happen.

It’s hilarious how people get pissed off over #hashtags. They’re all hypocrites when they complain and bitch about it ’cause #hashtags are no different than “tagging” photos and people have no problem with that, right? When people get angry about this stuff… things that are not so important, it shows how selfish they can really be. It proves my point that people can be nothing but opinionated assholes.

I find hash tags fun. As you can see, I’m all over on it twitter. I have no problem with hashtags. It’s just a unique and different way of being honest and publicly speaking your mind about things.

Sure, I may not agree with some of the changes Facebook make over the years but I stand behind them ’cause I don’t take it seriously. It’s just the internet, ya know? People have also threatened to leave facebook ’cause of all the government spying going on. That’s the way this pathetic world works. People are crazy, that’s all there is to it.

3rd Term Possibility for President Obama? Will we have to put up with him for another 4 years in 2016??? I HOPE NOT!!!

Rumors are going strong that President Obama could have a 3rd term possibility. Even though the Constitution says Presidents are only allowed two terms (See 22nd Amendment) people think there are ways that Barack Obama can go for a third term. First of all, I think it’s impossible and there is no way it can happen. Secondly, even Obama tried to change the “22nd Amendment” laws around, it’s gonna be really tough to do. They would have to repeal that Amendment which I would think it would require voting and debating in Congress. Plus, I would think they also might have to try to ratify another Amendment to make it happen.

The reason for the 22nd Amendment is that who ever wrote that Amendment felt that if a President served more than two terms it would be unfair to the other presidents and upcoming president hopefuls. They don’t need the same president spending a lot of years in office. The reason F.D.R. was allowed to serve 3 terms ’cause he was President even before the 22nd Amendment was ratified.

It’s going to be very tough to change the laws. There’s no other way he could do it. Don’t believe other articles or youtube videos that shows you how it can be a possibility ’cause they’re all full of shit. They just makes things up as they go along. Even if Obama decided to finish his 2nd term. I don’t see him wanting a third anyway because he is a family man and he would probably want to spend more time with them. Maybe get his chance to go on more vacations, play more golf, and basketball. LOL!

If Obama decides to move on after his 2nd term, it wouldn’t surprise me that he’s going to try to talk Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden to run. If either of those two or both decides to run and one of them wins, gets elected — then imagine how Obama’s power can still get through them. If Hillary or Joe is president in 2016, I can still see Obama passing along his ideas to them to help control this country even worse. Even though Obama will not be allowed a 3rd term, this is still not stopping him for becoming Vice-President ’cause that can still happen.

On top of all this guys… don’t be surprised that Obama will not be moving on with any kind of future. Why? Impeachment, and possible prison time could be coming for him anyway. You know it’s coming. This is what he deserves. He doesn’t deserve to go on living his life out in the free world after all the bullshit he did in the past. We’re never gonna forget about Benghazi. He may have done so many other crimes but Benghazi is serious.

What’s pissing me off even more is that while I’m glad and happy that America finally woke up on him about the wiretapping and spying… America is still ignoring the Benghazi stuff. They still want to ignore that Obama is a terrorist and may have been responsible for the Benghazi attacks. I’m sure a lot of people know, they’re more worried about getting spied on while they should be paying more attention to innocent human lives — 4 American citizens were killed in a consulate building in Libya. They should be focusing on innocent people getting killed, not themselves.

I know how some don’t want to believe that Obama will be held accountable for being a murdering terrorist but you know it’s coming and this is bound to happen.

Congrats, Queens of the Stone Age, who are billboard kings!!!

It’s hard to believe but this is for reals! A rock n’ roll band no. 1 on the Billboard! QOTSA’s newest album, “Like Clockwork”, made Billboard history by knocking off Daft Punk off the no. 1 spot. Yes, out of their 6 albums… they never made a no. 1 record until now — even their other iconic album, “Songs for the Deaf”, wasn’t a no. 1 record. Sometimes it takes a long time to get there and I’m pretty sure these guys never expected this to happen. I’m sure this surprised the hell out of Josh and the guys.

I was never that big on QOTSA but I do have their “Songs for the Deaf” album which is an amazing album btw. I haven’t got their new album yet which I will soon.

Rock n’ roll needs a new revolution here. I’m tired of fake pop, country, and rap artists taking over the industry. Rock is trying to comeback but fails. QOTSA making a no. 1 album is proof that rock still can get big again.

Remember the 90’s when grunge and metal were taking over the Billboard like crazy? A rock take-over can happen again. Josh is a talented singer and songwriter, can’t deny that at all. I’ve always admired him. He’s unique and different. Glad all the kids finally decided to listen to some great music for a change. Guys who plays real instruments and writes their own songs.

If the people in American music can pay attention to more rock bands instead of Justin Bieber, we can have a great music industry again!

What you do need and don’t need at live music shows…

Over the years in local music, I’ve seen some pretty crazy things with other bands and solo performers. I really do believe some music artists take themselves way too seriously. In this post, I’m about to explain what you do need and don’t need when performing on the stage whether it will be a full band or just an acoustic performer.

What you don’t need on the performing stage…

  • Props & gimmicks – You don’t need stage props. Get rid of ’em. You don’t need ridiculous smoke machines or any of those silly DJ/stage lighting. You don’t need microphone scarfs.  You don’t need ridiculous banners with your band name on it to hang up behind you, don’t need scrims, and you don’t need your band name on the drum head either. Bands use all kinds of silly props on stage. It’s nuts. On top of that, I find smoke machines pretty silly and too distracting. I played a show where it had a smoke machine once and I almost wanted to stop my performance because of it. I understand that smoke machines try to make you look cool and badass but the smoke distracts your playing.
  • Image – You don’t need to look all pretty and special on stage. The women don’t need to be wearing make-up and they don’t need to make their hair look all gorgeous when I’m sure they already do look gorgeous the way they are. As for the male musicians, they don’t need to be looking all that pretty on stage either. Men don’t need to be wearing make up either. Men have worn makeup on stage and even eye-liner. As for the tattoos, that’s alright ’cause you can’t do anything about the tattoos and that’s who they are but you don’t really need to worry about how good you look at all. If you don’t take your looks seriously, the audience will tell you if you look good or not. Don’t force the looks onto you.
  • Strict guidelines of clothing or fashion – I’ve seen bands who will wear nothing but a suit and tie at all of their shows. I’ve seen bands who will wear nothing but black leather. I’ve seen punk rock and glam bands who will wear the goofiest clothing ever. There are tons of rock bands and in different genres that wear the strangest clothing on stage. I understand that you need to dress to fit the genre of music you play but in reality, it doesn’t matter. I never cared what I wore on stage. I’ll just wear what I have on now. The only times you want to play dress up is when you play a wedding reception or a school dance party. Those are the times when you want to play dress up occasionally but other than that, you don’t need to play dress-up in local music. This isn’t WWE or the circus.
  • A lot of gear on stage – I’ve seen plenty of bands who brings out all kinds of gear on stage, and when I see this, I’m like, WTF are all these toys for? They would bring out so much shit. More than just amps and a bunch of pedals. Quite honestly, I really think some bands brings all kinds of gear on stage just for show. Being show offs, nothing more. Especially the really expensive gear. All you need is a few guitars, a few amps, a few guitar pedals. They don’t really need to be expensive equipment either. Being a local musician you don’t really need to be buying $5,000 – $10,000 equipment when you can really get good enough sounding gear for the stage with a budget around $300 – $700.
  • Long speeches or stories in between songs – I absolutely hate when bands & artists do this. Ramble on and on and on and on… please. A lot of musicians would like to tell the story behind the song. Even worse toward the end of their sets, they would take a long time introducing each band members and a bunch of thank you’s. You don’t need to take up so much time explaining yourself. All you need to do is just say the name of the song and just play. I remember when the Ramones were around, they never talked in between songs on stage. They played one song after another with no breaks. We need more bands like that. If you want to tell a story behind a song and how you wrote it, just make it brief and quick. You don’t need to make it into a 10 – 15 minute speech.
  • Dancing girls who are not musically talented – I’ve seen plenty of bands where they have hired girls dance on stage with them, and they actually consider them as a member of a band even if they are not musically talented at all. They don’t even sing or anything. They just dance on stage for show. Quite frankly, this could be the only reason people come to see your shows, and not for the actual music ’cause of those hot dancing women you hired. You don’t need girls to dance on stage with you if you want people to appreciate your music. If you have dancing girls at your shows, then you probably suck musically.
  • Drinking on stage – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve witnessed this over the years. Too many drunken bands out there! You don’t need to get wasted to put on a good show. Seriously, guys. Please consider this. Try playing on stage sober for once. I’m pretty sure you would be able to play a lot better!!!
  • Having an attitude on stage – Don’t swear too much. Don’t say too many offensive things. Don’t respond to the hecklers. Leave your ego at the door. Shut up and play the music!
  • Uncut guitar strings on stage – I’ve talked about this before and still stand by it too. I also, still see this going on. Whether you’re a guitar player or bass player, bands just don’t care to cut their strings. They just let ’em hang out or curl them on the headstock of their instrument. You don’t need to be looking like that as it can be annoying and it also kind of shows that you don’t know much about guitar when you think you do. You must cut your strings. It should only take a few seconds to grab a pair of wire cutters and cut the tip of your strings on the headstock. Not only that you look silly with uncut strings, it’s also dangerous as the strings can easily poke someone in the eye. I believe these bands don’t cut their strings ’cause it’s their way of trying to look cool and badass. It’s just rude and disrespectful. Don’t do it.
  • Hiring expensive videographers or photographers – It’s cool that you want better quality videos of your live performances and live photos but you don’t need to be hiring overpriced videographers or photographers. Since technology has gotten so popular these days, you should let the fans take the pics of you and record your gigs with their mobile phones instead — a lot of that stuff seems to be going on these days. Fan photos and fan made videos may not be as good quality but that stuff is cheaper too.

What you do need on the performing stage…

  • Good music – After all of the above, all you really need is a good set of songs and performing them live on the stage. You don’t need the stuff explained above. All you need is your instrument and the songs you need to perform them. People won’t care about the garbage I explained above… they just want to hear the music. It’s just as simple as that, folks!

Enjoy!

Inspirational quote that’s worth passing along…

7252_181918861971080_1581355020_n

Here’s an inspirational quote from facebook that’s worth passing along. It was written by poet, Jack Kerouac. I never got around to reading his poems yet but I will get to it. This quote is so true.

No matter who you are or how you are. No matter how your life is, you love everything about it. Your life may not be perfect but you love yourself and be grateful.

Some people like to mistakenly believe that my life is crap and have nothing much going on. Some people also called me a depressed and pathetic person. All that is farther from the truth. My life is actually great, really. My life isn’t perfect. I can make things better for myself which I’m trying but I’m enjoying every bit of it. No matter the ups and downs. I’m actually a pretty happy guy and always will be.  To hell with all those who think I’m not.

Today, marks the 50th Anniversary of the movie, “Cleopatra”…

934942_588217811209786_563026234_n

Today, officially marks the 50th Anniversary of, “Cleopatra”, the biopic film of the Egyptian Queen. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I watched this movie on Netflix a long while back, I think sometime last year and I loved everything about it. Such a beautiful movie and story! On top of that, Elizabeth Taylor was smoking HOT in this film. That’s a huge part of why a lot of people like this film. I almost bought the 50th Anniversary Blu-Ray to “Cleopatra” but put it back and decided to get it another time. Maybe, I’ll pick it up next time. When I saw this on Netflix streaming, yes, I’ll admit it was the first time I ever watched the movie. I’m trying to catch up with all the big classics on Netflix. This is an amazing film, though.

Cool Photo: See “Man of Steel” cast and Zack Snyder at the NYC premiere…

1008628_548189628560330_1770063782_o

“Man of Steel” cast and Zack Snyder hanging at the premiere in NYC. Don’t those three women look beautiful? Hell yeah, they do. Seems that Michael Shannon stands taller than everyone else, LOL! I just looked up Michael’s height and he’s 6 foot 3. Yes, that is Laurence Fishburne who plays a black Perry White in the film.

Can’t wait to see “Man of Steel”. Critics are already giving this movie rave reviews so look like everyone will be happy with this film. I’m pretty sure I’m seeing, “Man of Steel”, this weekend. I won’t be seeing it alone, I believe. I’m possibly going with several other friends in my area. I would have gone to see this movie alone but with this being, “Superman”, you can’t see it alone. You want to see this movie with other people to make it a blast. You want to have fun cheering on for Superman.

Really looking forward to this flick. When I do see it, I’ll review it for my blog for sure.
