Clint Eastwood’s “Gran Torino” is now out on DVD!!!! WOOT!!!

Clint Eastwood’s latest film “Gran Torino” is finally out on DVD. Hell yes!!! This film is awesome! Clint returns to the leading role after all these years. He plays a racist old man who has a hatred against asians and black people. He has a hot classic car called, Gran Torino. He becomes friends with a young asian girl next door by saving her from other gang members in town. Clint’s character is being attacked by gang members while he forces this young asian boy to do work around his house for trying to steal his Gran Torino car.

This film is reccomended to those who never got to see it in theater. Clint is still a badass even at 80 years old!!!! I think I’m going to take a bike trip up to Kmart to pick up the DVD this afternoon so I can watch it tonight!!!

Cool Video: This is what Brett Michaels gets for making bad music with Poison…

I know it ain’t cool for laughing at people for getting injured, but yes, I find this pretty hilarious for some reason. This gives me the laughs.

This incident is just a warning for Brett to not release a new Poison album…

It is possible to get a muscular and fit body without using equipment and going to the gym…

If you’re the type of person that don’t go to your local gym all the time, don’t go at all, or can’t afford to pay for subscriptions there…don’t worry about it. You can still get the body of your dreams right at your own home…even if you don’t own any gym equipment of your own.

I don’t need to go to my local gym all the time because I’m already learning so many body weight exercises that don’t require equipment. I’ve been learning so much work outs that could exercise every body part: the chest, the abs, shoulders, arms, biceps, triceps, legs, calves, the butt, the back, etc. I’m doing it all!!!!

The internet is good resource to learn what exercises to do if you don’t own equipment or don’t go to the gym. Google and youtube are your best friends for this. I used to think about hiring a profesional trainer to help me get fit, but I think that is unnecessary now. You can always be a self taught trainer, instead of having someone else train you. I think I’m doing ok, learning how to train by myself. I am noticing a difference and feeling a little change.

A lot of people will be talking negative stuff by saying shit like, you will never be Mr. Muscle Man, but I call that bullshit. If you stay committed, don’t give up, you could indeed prove people wrong. You could easily get a transformation of your body quickly if you do it right. Just don’t listen to what people have to say about what you’re doing, and keep at it.

Anybody can get that muscle look, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like.

BREAKING NEWS: Liam Neeson in talks to play Hannibal in “A-Team” movie!!!!

Well, it looks like 20th Century Fox found their Hannibal for the “A-Team” movie, that would be no one other than Liam Neeson. Bradley Cooper is also in talks to play Faceman Peck.

I think Liam is a perfect fit for Hannibal. Look at the two pictures above. Notice the similarities? The eyes look the same and the smile is similar too. They’ll probably give Liam a different hair color to match Hannibal’s from the TV show, give him that cigar, the black gloves, the clothes, and there’s a perfect match.

20th Century Fox probably loved what Liam did in the movie “Taken”, and they figure he’s capable of doing action flicks at this age. Liam Neeson is currently filming “Clash of the Titans” remake since returning to work from his small hiatus, since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.

Summer concerts???

The summer is here. The time of year where summer concerts is around. I don’t go to national concerts anymore, but only if bands come around that I love, I’ll go see for sure.

The only concert I’ll be going to see this summer is the reunited Phish at SPAC in Saratoga Springs. I sure am looking forward to this one. Phish is a favorite live band of mine. I don’t own any of their CD’s, I just enjoy seeing them live more. I think Phish plays the best live shows in the major label industry.

I have been to plenty of hippie concerts, so I know how crazy they are and I know what they are like. I’m just going to this show for the live music of Phish, of course. I ain’t going to SPAC hours before the show to party hard with a bunch of hippie strangers, I’m not going to that concert for that. I’ll arrive at SPAC at the time the show starts.

In these type of concerts, of course, most people attending the show would be either really drunk or stoned or worse, tripping on acid, etc. These people don’t really bother me, as I don’t pay attention to it but the concert itself. I go to the hippie jam band concerts for the music, not to party. Yes, I’ve always been a fan of the hippie jam band genre for years. I grew up on that music.

After the summer’s over, then I’ll be seeing Metallica in Albany in Nov.

I also want to see AC/DC and Elton John/Billy Joel at the Times Union Center but tickets to those two shows are pretty pricey, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on concerts.

Phish and Metallica is good enough for me.

Report: Alice In Chains to release new studio album without Layne Staley…

Alice In Chains, has signed a new  record deal with major label EMI and is due for a new record release sometime in Sept. This will be the band’s first studio album in more than 10 years. Alice In Chains reunited in 2005 with a new singer. His name is William Duvall, the new Alice In Chains frontman.

In between Layne’s death and recruiting a new singer for Alice In Chains, Jerry Cantrell released a few solo albums and toured for both of them. The new Alice In Chains is excited and happy to give us their new songs, so am I. I can’t wait to hear them.

I’ve been an obsessive Alice In Chains and Jerry Cantrell fanatic for many years. I don’t know how good this new singer will be, I just want to hear Jerry’s great guitar playing. In my opinion, Jerry Cantrell has always been one of rock’s best guitar players out of everybody out there.

“Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out in two weeks, just around the corner….

The Best Buy website says “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” comes out June 17th which is in two weeks. I know I’m definitely going to get it for sure, ’cause I’ve been anticipating to get this game ever since it was first announced. I hope the game don’t dissapoint and hope it don’t suck. I’m just a little worried that the creators of the game will make it too easy ’cause they’ll know that kids will be interested in it too.

So far, from what I’m seeing, the game looks a lot of fun to play. Check out a couple of gameplay clips from the game itself. The game is set a few years after “Ghostbusters 2” film.

Enjoy.

RANT: More on myspace music…on how it doesn’t do anything to your so called music career…

I’ve heard from unsigned bands and songwriters all over the world, that they claim that myspace helps their music get heard, get success and become more popular. The thing I have to ask is, really? Does myspace really helps unsigned bands and artists get to the next level? The way I see it, myspace doesn’t do anything.

When I used have my myspace music account up, I used to think that myspace was going to help me get to the next level by hoping to get signed to some small indie label or some sort. Never happened.

I’ve been noticing that a lot of bands and artists would add as much people as they possible can, just so they can make themselves look popular.  They would add as much other bands as possible, they would add as much hot looking women to their pages as possible, etc. I used to do the same thing when I had my music account up. Does this really make you a popular musician? Bands also like to treat myspace friends like fans when in reality they only added you for their own networking. Many people could give a rats ass about you, or your music.

Yes, I know it’s possible to get actual fans of your music in myspace but the truth is, it don’t really happen much, I am noticing.

I know the truth hurts and it’s sometimes hard to face reality, but you have to realize that all myspace is just a big piece of fantasy land that musicians are all living in.

You’re not going to become a Dave Matthews Band or a Metallica, just by having a myspace account although a lot of bands and musicians like to look like famous people.

As I said in my previous blog, myspace isn’t helping you. You’re only helping the “myspace” site itself get more powerful.

I know myspace is just a promoting and marketing tool, but I wish people would stop obsessing with that site. That’s what myspace and News Corp wants, is you to obsess with it and feel addicted to it, they’re just doing whatever it takes to keep people there. People left myspace, going to facebook more now instead, I can see why.

Unsigned bands won’t delete their accounts and leave myspace ’cause they are all living under this delusion that they think myspace helps their music. Myspace is really useless to your music.

There are better ways of getting your music out there on the internet other than myspace. You just got to do some quick thinking and planning things over.

Report: John Stamos is planning, “Full House – The Movie” for the big screen but won’t star original cast from sitcom…

After the hit drama series, “ER”, left national TV…the show’s star, John Stamos, is left with no work for TV or film. What is Stamos planning next? He is planning to bring “Full House”, the hit family sitcom that originally starred: Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, John Stamos, The Olsen Twins, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure…to the big screen. Yes, a “Full House” motion picture.

However, it won’t star the original cast. He plans to have a different cast play the Tanner family. Stamos says he is very close friends with the original cast of “Full House” and stays in touch with all of them…even Dave Coulier and both of the Olsen Twins.

More on it here:

Terrible idea, John. I think the show, “Full House” had a pretty good run. I would prefer the original “Full House” cast to play the Tanner family. I would think, the “Full House” fans would want the same. I think a film like this would fail.

RANT: Brock thinks myspace has officially destroyed the music industry, get a reality check bands…

Many bands/artists, famous or not, think myspace is good networking for your music. If you get a reality check and get out of your delusional minds for once, myspace has actually destroyed the music industry. Not make it better. Why haven’t I came back to myspace music with a Kev Brock music account yet? ’cause myspace is not the direction I want to go with my songs. I refuse to do anything to help promote myspace with my music.

All you bands out there, that have music accounts, you are not only promoting your music and helping yourself out, you are helping helping and spreading the word on myspace too.

I don’t go to myspace music. I don’t listen to bands in myspace music anymore. I hate going through those ten songs and then getting a pop up ad linking us to some other artist/band in myspace. Myspace gets worse everytime.

Why are albums of famous bands get leaked before release date, and then the artist uploads the entire album to myspace ’cause of the leak? It’s all because of myspace. Myspace doesn’t make your music career better, it doesn’t get you recognized.

Why would you want myspace music shoving this female artist named Katie Voegele in our faces (which she is not a great artist anyways)? Why do you think Katie Voegele is myspace music’s prominent music artist? It’s because YOU let it happen. Just by simply registering to a myspace music account to promote your own music, you helped Katie Voegele become a signed musician.

Myspace is crap for the musc industry and it isn’t a good promotional tool, if you get a reality check. That’s why myspace keeps adding all these cool new features just to get people to stay on the site and get more people to register. I hate myspace ’cause it’s nothing but advertisements there in the music section and it was giving me a headache. I don’t see how people can waste all that time doing all that work: adding friends, promoting your music, gigs, etc. It’s just all a big fucking waste of time, myspace is.

I’ve been using facebook a lot more often these days. I don’t use my facebook account for my music though, I use it for my own personal use to keep in touch with online friends. I use facebook a lot more often ’cause I am planning on deleting my myspace personal account too.

People stopped buying records in the music scores ’cause I blame myspace for that also. Myspace isn’t great marketing for your music.

Will bands ever stop going to myspace and stop making myspace pages ’cause they think it will help get them recognized? NO. They’ll continue to stay in their delusional minds. All those bands in myspace, famous or not, you are not helping your music. You are all kissing Rupert Murdoch’s ass by supporting him, just by simply having an account when you are not even realizing it. Yes, it is true. You all support News Corp. Not yourself and your music fans. All the News Corp sleazy big shots care about is marketing “myspace”. Myspace doesn’t help your music, it did nothing but help “myspace” take over the world.

That’s the point I’m trying to get at here. Yep, I blame myspace for turning today’s music industry so mainstream and pop. I miss the days when myspace wasn’t around and good music was around back then too.
