Report: Oprah named the Most Powerful Woman in Hollywood by the Hollywood Reporter…

Oprah tops the Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100 List.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i607260fdc2070f66ea8f75c9d9d08f8b

Most powerful and influential? The women in America would think that, but I can assure you that a lot of men like myself can’t stand her.

She’s responsible for making Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz famous, both of those guys are morons. She’s responsible for turning Tom Cruise into an egomaniac. She’s mainly the only one responsible for getting Barack Obama elected. If it wasn’t for her, McCain would have won the election.

Her daily TV show on NBC is annoying with all them screaming women and her being all hyper as the host. She sure is not the most powerful woman in America, bullshit.

I can’t stand Oprah.

Who do I think is the most powerful woman in Hollywood? The answer is, no one. There is no such thing as being the most “powerful”. I see them as people doing their jobs and not giving them the most “powerful” title to feed in their ego.

Report: Sigourney Weaver hints at returning to “Ghostbusters 3” and Ripley getting her own spinoff movie without those gross out aliens…

More news on actress Sigourney Weaver. First we have her giving Ghostbusters fans a hint that she maybe in “Ghostbusters 3”, she confirmed she is in talks with Bill Murray for the next installment. She also hinted that Dana’s son Oscar could be the next Ghostbuster.

See it here:

Sigourney is also in negotiations with Ridley Scott into having Ripley, the character from the Alien series get her own spinoff movie without the aliens. It’ll be a whole new sci fi adventure for Ripley getting her own film.

See it here:

Very nice! I’m glad to see “Ghostbusters 3” moving forward and glad to hear Ripley possibly coming back to the big screen with Ridley directing again. Ripley getting her own movie sounds fuckin’ cool, bring it on Ridley! 🙂

Report: First look at Dolph Lundgren’s “Command Performance”!!!

Action star Dolph Lundgren is serious about reviving his career. I think he’s had enough of making straight to video and straight to TV movies, that I think he’s ready to make a huge comeback to the big screen.

Dolph’s next movie he’s currently filming “Command Performance” which he plays a drummer in a rock n’ roll band. Dolph’s leading character goes to watch a female pop star concert (which he probably falls in love with in the film), then terrorists take over the concert and kidnap the Russian president which Dolph’s character must rescue. “Command Performance” sounds like it will be a mainstream movie, not a straight to video release because it’s being released by Nu Image/Millenium.

Dolph is also set to star alongside, Sly Stallone in “The Expendables” which will also be released by Nu Image/Millenium.

See this link for more on the plot and see two exclusive photos of Dolph on set of the film “Command Performance”:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/12/04/dolph-lundgren-draws-inspiration-from-britney-spears-for-command-performance/

The movie “Command Performance”  sounds goofy and silly as all hell, but it still sounds like a fun movie to see. I’m looking forward to it.

And my god, that second picture of Dolph, he still looks ripped and buffed up.

Whose Side Are You On: Joe Satriani vs. Coldplay

Joe Satriani who is a legendary instrumental guitar virtuoso has filed a copyright infrigement lawsuit against the band Coldplay. The Satch is accusing Coldplay of Plagiarism a song that Satriani wrote called, “If I Could Fly”. The Satch thinks Coldplay’s popular hit “Viva La Vida” sounds very similar to Satch’s song, “If I Could Fly”.

Satch is pretty pissed about this because he is seeking a jury trial, cash for damages and any damages attributable to the alleged copyright infrigement.

Billboard reports:

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/joe-satriani-sues-coldplay-for-plagiarism-1003919842.story

I like Joe Satch and I like Coldplay too, but sorry Mr. Satriani, I’m on Chris Martin’s side here. The Satch in stepping in Prince’s and Axl Rose’s shoes, “waaah waaah, this and waaah waaah that”, me oh my, and everything about me.

I heard the two songs in youtube, yes, there are similarities. But does this violate the copyright infrigement? Hell no.

In Oasis’s “Wonderwall”, there’s only 4 chords throught the entire song, and so many bands and artists pretty much use those same chords. It’s hard to make original music that doesn’t sound like anyone else because all the styles and everything else has already been done. I’m sure there are so many songs that sounds exactly like Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Green Jelly kind of ripped off Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” with their tune “Electric Harley House of Love”.

This lawsuit is LAME, Satch. Lame, lame, lame. It will get Satch no where. Chris Martin is safe. I know Satch doesn’t get much recognition in the media and I know the economic times are tough but suing another band is very low of him. Shame on you, Joe. Where’s your Holiday spirit, man?

BREAKING NEWS: THE JUICE GETS 15 YEARS!!!!! :-)

Well, that’s it for OJ folks. OJ is off to prison today for 15 years. Only thing though, he is eligible for parole after 6.

Before being taken to prison, Judge Glass allowed OJ to have his last words. OJ claims he was just getting the items back that his children owned that were stolen from them, he claimed that he didn’t realize he was doing anything illegal. He repeated himself over and over that he didn’t mean to hurt anybody and steal anything. Like the typical OJ, he plays innocent and looks like he is pretending to be emotional.

The Goldman’s were there to see the sentencing in person and Fred speaks, although the Goldman’s know this isn’t about the murder of Nicole and Ron, it is about the Vegas robbery, he is saying that he’s proud and happy about OJ being sentenced today.

See the two videos below at TMZ:

http://www.tmz.com/2008/12/05/o-j-gets-15-years/

OJ said he’s sorry about the Vegas Robbery and admitted to it, he should be sorry about the murder of Nicole and Ron too. Whether you’re trying to get stuff back that was stolen from you, it is still illegal to pull off violence to get back what you owned. Of course, OJ knew what he was doing was illegal, you can see the guilt in his eyes.

Lets hope other prison inmates beat OJ to death while he’s in there, it won’t suprise me if something like that happened. Think OJ Simpson can handle gang members and big dangerous men in a maximum security prison? I hear something about that other inmates do not like murderers.

The famous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer got beaten to death by other inmates, the same can happen for the Juice. You can betcha the other inmates will hate OJ just as much as everyone else does.

The Goldman family are probably home celebrating right about now, drinking champagne and all. This is a great Christmas present for them, indeed.

Today is a great day for America!!!

Brock’s Top 10 Albums of 2008!!!

Here are my top 10 music albums of 2008… I barely ever listen to national music anymore and once in a while, a really good album does came out that I actually loved.

The list below in order:

1. Ac/Dc “Black  Ice”

Definitely tops the best album of the year. I can’t stop listening to this. Such a killer album all the way through. This is definitely Ac/Dc’s best album with Brian Johnson. This album is definitely a must buy.

2. Metallica “Death Magnetic”

The boys in Metallica are back and better than ever!!! This album is hands down amazing. Their best since “Master of Puppets”. “Death Magnetic” is another album I listen to non stop.

3. Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy”

Yet, another legendary rock n ‘ roll band coming out of hiding after all these years. I was extremely impressed and blown away by  this album. Who cares about the failed sales of this album. As long you enjoy the music, that’s all it should matter. I love the album. Axl did a brilliant job with the songwriting.

4. Oasis “Dig Out Your Soul”

Another band coming out of hiding. Noel and Liam are back and this is their best album since “What’s the Story Morning Glory”.  Noel and Liam are fine songwriters, I admire their work greatily.

5. Queen + Paul Rodgers “The Cosmos Rocks”

The new Queen album kicks total ass. Another one I’m starting to listen to a lot more. Brian May’s guitar work is mind blowing, I’d reccomend you this one.

6. The Clash “Live at Shea Stadium”

Finally, there’s a new live album by the Clash. I love this disc a lot too. It’s great to hear Joe Strummer and the guys performing a live concert, yes, they do sound totally different live then in the studio.

7. Joe Satriani “Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock”

It’s a shame that the Satch doesn’t get much recognition in the industry when he should. This man has talent. He’s back again with another killer album.

8. Kate Nash “Made of Bricks”

I find myself listening to this record quite a lot. I really dig Kate Nash. I admire her songwriting style and enjoy listening to her singing voice.

9. The Verve “Forth”

Yet, another band coming out of hiding after a long hiatus, they are the “Bittersweet Symphony” boys, The Verve. I picked this album up earlier in the year and it was actually a real good listen. I still like “Urban Hymns” more, but “Forth” is pretty enjoyable.

10. Jennifer Hudson – self titled

I didn’t put her in the top ten just because of her tragedy and not just for feeling sorry for her or anything, I picked this album because she truly does have talent and her music is fun to listen to. I’m not much into the R&B and pop thing, but sometimes when I get tired of listening to rock and roll, I would want to listen to something different. Whenever I want to listen to something lighter and not so loud, I would put this album on. I’ve heard a lot of Idol star albums, and pretty much Jenniefer Huson put out the best album from the American Idol industry. This album is actually a pretty good one. I dig it.

Enjoy.

Confirmed: “The Dark Knight” getting a theaterical re-release everywhere Jan. 23rd…

Did you miss the showing of “The Dark Knight” when it first hit theaters earlier in the summer back in July? Did you already see the film and wanting to see it again on the big screen? Well, you’ll get that opportunity on Jan. 23rd because Warner Bros. will re-release “The Dark Knight” for the big screen in theaters everywhere.

Although “The Dark Knight” comes out on DVD/Blu Ray Dec. 9th (that’s next week), Warner Bros. wants fans to experience it on the big screen, not on the small screen at home.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117996874.html?categoryid=3315&cs=1

Come on now.

The real reasons they are re-releasing this is that they are hoping to top “Titanic” in the box office and trying to attract an Oscar buzz for “Best Picture”.

I won’t see it in the theater again, I’ll enjoy it on DVD at home.

Report: Nicole Kidman does not apologize for her failed movie career…

In this article, actress Nicole Kidman admits to the public that most of her films are flops. She also admits to having bad taste when choosing films to star in by saying that some of her movies are mainstream hits and some of them are not. She doesn’t seem upset by her failed movie career because she either does the films if she either 1) Likes the script herself 2) Just does it for the love of acting 3) Does the films for the money alone… or it could be a little of all three!!!

She is not sure what she’ll do in her future acting career because she is planning to have more children with her country star husband, Keith Urban. Is this a hint that she is planning on backing out on Hollywood too? Her favorite role is being a Mom and that’s her first priority.

More on it here:

http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/goddess/nicole-kidmans-favorite-role/146?nc

Whether her films bomb or not, she is still a talented actress, I love a lot of her films. Just because movies flop in the box office, doesn’t mean a film is bad.

Her in “Cold Mountain” is probably one of my favorite movies she’s ever starred in, I remember seeing it in theater when it first came out.

I’ll wait for DVD on “Australia”, I’m not that excited to see it in theater.
