Report: Will Stallone go back to doing theatre in “The Sound of Music”?

Another bad rumour of Sly going around saying that he was spotted in the audience at the London Palladium watching the “Sound of Music” musical in London and now sources claim that Sly is being asked to star in legendary musical to play the role of Captain Von Trapp on stage.

FOXNews reports:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,395401,00.html

If this news is actually true, DON’T DO IT SLY!!!!!!! Sly doing musicals would be travesty when the man belongs on the big screen!

There is nothing to worry about though, I don’t think he’ll do this. He has too much film projects on his hands already and I wish he would hurry up and choose his next movie already!!!!!!

I know I’m being impatient.

CD Review: Motley Crue “The Saints of Los Angeles”…

The boys in the Crue are back! Yes, the original members of the popular hairmetal band Motley Crue have a new album out titled “The Saints of Los Angeles”. The band still have the same lineup; Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx, and Tommy Lee. This is the band’s first studio album in 8 years since 2000’s “The New Tattoo”.

I listened to this album quite several times actually and can not stop listening to it. It is actually a really good album and very well done. Probably the best I’ve heard from the boys in years. The album starts off with an intro that says “Welcome to Los Angeles”. The songs on the disc are actually catchy, Tommy Lee’s drumming skills is actually pretty tight. Vince’s vocals are actually fun to listen to but what caught my attention on the disc the most is the guitar playing of Mick Mars. He’s created some pretty cool kick ass riffs and great guitar solos.

The album really does bring back old school Crue back in the 80’s. It is really a fun album, I liked it a lot. Great job guys.

My favorite tracks: “Down at the Whisky”, “Saints of Los Angeles” (album title track), “The Animal In Me”, “Just Another Psycho”, and “White Trash Circus”.

Score for Motley Crue’s “The Saint of Los Angeles” **** (4 stars as in excellent)

CD Review: Mason Jennings “In the Ever”…

Mason Jennings born in Honolulu, Hawaii is a pop/rock/folk singer/sonwriter who is known for writing acoustic based songs with catchy melodies, intimate lyrics, and distinct Dylanish like singing voice. Mason is a high school dropout to pursue his dreams to make a living on playing music. The young Mason Jennings released several albums under small indie labels over the years and very quicly grew a huge following of his music. His fans are mostly people of the young generation in their early teens to the thirties. Mason only had one album signed under a major label which was “Boneclouds” under Epic records released in 2006, the album included the hit single “Be Here Now”.

Now Mason Jennings is no longer on a major label and went back to his indie roots where he started. He is now signed under Jack Johnson’s owned label Brushfire Records and released the new album “In the Ever” through it. After listening to the album a couple of times, I really enjoyed it. Some of my favorite tracks on the record are “Something About Your Love”, “I Love You and Buddha Too”, “Fighter Girl”, and “How Deep Is That River”. I pretty much enjoy the entire album but those songs I listed I love the most.

I’m happy for Mason for going back to his indie label roots, because there is a big difference between “Boneclouds” and “In the Ever”. “Boneclouds” was an ok album, but “In the Ever” is ten times much better. I would reccomend it.

Score for Mason Jennings “In the Ever” = *** (3 stars as in “good”)

Cool Video: Kirk Hammett recording riffs in studio for “Death Magnetic”…

This video was posted on the Mission: Metallica site, while I’m not a payed registered member to Mission: Metallica, all the videos in the studio being posted there get leaked to youtube anyways.

Kirk Hammett here is recording riffs to go behind James Hetfield’s vocals in a song Kirk and the producers are recording. While Kirk was recording a few riffs down, the producer hands Kirk a “flanger” pedal. The producer asked him to use that pedal, Kirk looks at it a few minutes, and then he hooks it up to the amp and rocks out.

After the producer played back the recorded riffs Kirk just recorded in the video, the producer asked him to make a cool effect out of that flanger. And the sound is way badass. It sounds fuckin’ metal. The way Metallica is supposed to be, not that alternative rock shit they did in “Load/Reload/St. Anger”.

Check it out!

Thought: While “The Dark Knight” may not top “Titanic”, I have a feeling “Twilight” just might…

This movie “Twilight” a romantic teen vampire film adapted from the popular young adult novel written by Stephenie Meyer, just may have a chance of topping “Titanic” in box office domestically if “The Dark Knight” doesn’t.

Everytime I read about “Twilight”, I become even more anticipated in the film. The story sounds very interesting. I am also liking how the cast of the film is full of unknown actors. Actors that we never know about.

Stephenie Meyer just released the final “Twilight” book of the series, titled “BreakIng Dawn” and that book seems to be creating a lot of controversy. The “Twilight” film has created a huge internet buzz. Much larger than “The Dark Knight”.

You think, why is this movie about a teenage girl falling in love with a vampire? You may think, that story is so stupid and nothing new. If you know vampires as well as I do, that’s the whole point of vampires. Vampire stories are mostly love, romance and women. Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” is a perfect example of this. The same goes for Nosferatu and Anne Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire” series.

The film “Twilight” hits theaters December 12th and I will be there to see it. I am glad that vampires are finally making a return to the movie industry.

Don’t worry folks, “Titanic” will be off the list as the number one movie in the world soon since box office movies are getting much higher these days. You just never know what movie will top “Titanic”. I just think “Twilight” may be the one.

Report: Stallone gets 10 minute cameo for “Bollywood” film, Arnold drops out…

Check out this interview with the producer of Bollywood Indian film “Incredible Love”, it mostly talks about Stallone filming his cameo appearrance for the film. Stallone only had 3 days of shooting and gets a 10 minute cameo.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked to be in it but the producer confirmed he dropped out, of course. The interview also confirmed Denise Richards getting a cameo as well.

This is the first Bollywood film in history to star U.S. actors.

Check out the interview here:

Pretty cool. Can’t wait to see Sly’s cameo in it.

I’m sure the film will be released internationally only, I don’t think it will be released in the U.S. but I’m sure Sly’s cameo of that film will get leaked all over youtube in the future.

Now that Sly is done filming his cameo, he have to choose his next movie that he stars the leading role in.

COME ON SLY, pick your next movie already with you starring the leading role! Us fans can’t wait to see what the next film is!

Report: Nicolas Cage and John Carpenter team up for “Scared Straight”…

Actor Nicolas Cage and legendary horror film director John Carpenter are in final negotiations with Nu Image/Millenium to make a prison thriller titled “Scared Straight”.

The “Scared Straight” synopsis is about a young teenage boy who is sent to an adult prison who is sentenced there for a short period of time. While the teen serves his sentence in an adult prison, a riot breaks out and prison inmates hold him hostage. Nic Cage plays a prisoner who is serving a life sentence (that’s what being a “lifer” means) and he is forced to rescue the troubled teen from the other prisoners.

Nicolas Cage is currently filming “Bad Lieutenant” remake which also stars Val Kilmer and Eva Mendes.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Hmmm, Cage in a prison film again? Remember the film “Con Air”? That was one of my favorite films of his.

A lot of people don’t really care for Nicolas Cage but I like the guy a lot. He’s very enjoyable and he’s a good actor.

He’s a busy hard working actor who never seems to stop. It’s about time he’s got the opportunity to team up with John Carpenter when that should have happened a long time ago! This film is gonna be fuckin’ sweet!
