I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Yes, I am aware that I’m not going to be liked by some and be made fun of by people, I don’t need to be reminded of it…

For the last several years or more, I have been a huge target of haters & doubters on the internet. People would try to do all kinds of shit and do all they can to piss me off. They would try to start anonymous myspace/facebook pages or even twitter pages too just to try to anonymously harass me or even worse, pretend to be me. People would even go as far as making negative youtube videos about me or anonymous blogs.Other people would also even have the guts to NOT be anonymous, and attack me under their real names online in social networking sites. I am aware that I am not going to be liked and am aware that I’m going to be made fun of for your laughs & entertainment by other musicians and regular music fans.

While it is nice that people in my facebook page would point me out to all this and help me on this, I know my supporters have tried to defend me from all the negativity aimed at me, it still kind of bothers me and don’t really enjoy people trying to help me from the haters.

Thing is, I’m trying to live the best life possible. Live a positive life and leave all the negativity behind me. I don’t really need people helping me ’cause I’m adult enough to take care of myself. It’s just as simple as that. Why don’t I like people helping me? Well for one, it brings back the past, and I’m trying to leave the past behind me but of course, the past always have a way of coming back to you, no matter what happens. When people point me out that someone is bashing me online, I just kindly tell them, just let it go and I’ll ignore it.

No matter what people do to try and upset me, I’m never going to be hurt and upset. I’m a strong and tough SOB. I don’t let anything or anyone get me down. So I’m all good and cool. I am a pretty happy guy and will stay that way. Like I said, I’ve been dealing with all this hate & negativity for the past 7-10 years, so I’m pretty used to it by now. You just got to learn to ignore it and be strong.

The thing is, though, I must say that if this is kind of world we live in with all this drama and stuff, that is kind of sad. Coming from people who are adults, ya know? Some of you would know that I’m more adult acting than anybody out there. I think people hating on other people online is kind of good actually, because you know what that’s doing? All that doing is exposing themselves that they really are assholes. It’s how they are in the real world and off the computer. It does nothing but proves my point that some people can be douchebags.

When you want to be a musician or a blogger, put yourself out there for the whole world to see, you’ll have to understand you’ll get a mix of love and hate. I do have people online that are actually supportive of me and they do care, so I’m appreciative of that. I just want to focus on the positive and not the negative. If other people can’t be positive in return, then they must have some serious issues and obsession problems, if they continue this hate they can’t stop doing. I’m a nice guy, and can be a good person, if other people still can’t see that, I’m alright with that, ’cause like I said before, I can’t please everyone. Living a positive life is all I care about now.

About my music…

Ya know, I’m not looking to be the most popular singer/songwriter in the area. It would be nice, but that’s not what I look for in my music. I just want to be heard and get respected as a music artist. I’m just like everyone else. Just ask for a little more respect, that’s all. Of course, I can’t ask for it, I guess. I have to earn that respect.

So in order for me to get that respect,  I need to work harder on my music and improve. Which is what I’ve been concentrating on. Trying to become a better singer and guitar player, as you can see. I would like to be taken seriously as a music artist.

You have to understand one thing, that respect doesn’t fall in your lap. You have to make the best music possible. Good music is key to getting that respect. You want people to like you, the songs need to be good.

Just a little more recognition for my originals is all I ask for. It might help get that recognition a little bit if I make a full band rock album that I’ve always wanted to do.

Report: Neil Young makes return of Crazy Horse official, “Americana ” to be released, June 5th…

Rollingstone.com, made the exclusive news that Neil Young made the return of his band, Crazy Horse, with a new album, coming out titled, “Americana”. These aren’t original songs, it’s going to be an album full of covers. They are all going to be famous Americana folk songs written over the years. Are they going to be full band electric rock versions? That’s what it’s sounding like. Neil also said there is a choir of young children singing songs with them in the studio. So this is going to be an interesting album.

I’ll be buying it for sure. I love Neil. He’s a hero of mine. 2012 is starting to shape up as a better year for music. Springsteen, Neil Young, Sabbath, Van Halen, etc. Rock n’  roll is trying to make a come back this year.

See this article for the track listing.

Last night’s “Walking Dead”, episode was the best television I’ve seen in years, holy S**T!!! ***SPOILERS***

WOW! Last night’s “Walking Dead” episode was pretty intense. They are getting better and improving. See? Who needs Frank Darabont!!! They are doing fine with out him! People thought the show would fail without him, but they thought wrong.

Last night’s episode was a true zombie episode. It felt like a George A. Romero movie for sure. I’ll talk about the plot below with a spoiler warning….

********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************SPOILERS***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

So last night’s episode explained the incident between Shane and Rick. Why Rick killed Shane? Like I explained before, Shane sacrificed himself. Shane knew all along that he was going to turn into a walker after he died. So Shane wanted to get Rick all pissed so he can take his gun out and shoot him. Rick revealed that every living human is infected with the virus, so if you die, you get turned into a walker.

After all this time, they fooled us that if you get bitten by a walker, you get turned into one too. Turns out it’s not true after all this time. You get turned into a walker, no matter how you die

I loved how the group split with Andrea. Andrea got into a little zombie killing action herself, and it was awesome. That was when the mysterious hooded woman showed up with a sword. “Talking Dead” last night revealed who the hooded woman was, and it’s a character named, Michonne, from the comics, a black woman.

I haven’t started reading the comics yet. I’ve started collecting them, I only have the first six so far. Looks like Season 3 will be taken place in a prison. The Prison season was adapted from one of the comics. Comic #3, “Safety Behind Bars”. I will start reading the books soon.

I was really impressed with last night’s episode. It was a great improvement with the writing and hope they keep up the good work for Season 3. I see this TV show being on TV for a long time.

It was a pretty powerful episode and a great ending.

This isn’t mainstream music, folks, this is called, “local music”…

I think I figured out why some of us musicians keep getting ignored by the music scene. Getting overlooked and not getting enough recognition that we deserve. I think it’s because the local press like to look at local music as if this is the “mainstream” industry even if we’re not. Here’s what I mean. You know how in the national “mainstream” industry, you have to be all good looking and pretty, and write pop songs to make it big? Well, the local music scene is kind of similar to that. If you’re good looking and pretty, if you write pop songs that are radio friendly and can get the girls dancing their asses off, then you become immediately successful.

In the local music world, there is no such thing as being “mainstream” artists or pop stars. We are unsigned and local music. So that means everyone deserves the support and respect. People like to treat the local music scene like a damn popularity contest and it’s sad, in my opinion. The local music scene shouldn’t be like that.

In this website, I will prove my point. By simply promoting local music more, the real way to promote local music. Believe me, I know how to do it. Better than anybody out there. It seems that other local music promoters are out there trying to get more publicity for themselves and not giving publicity to the band they are promoting. If you want to be a good music promoter, you need it to be more about them, and not about you.

I will concentrate on promoting local music more in this site ’cause I have a mission. To prove this music scene, that all musicians of all levels of talent deserves a chance. Like I said, I will do interviews with bands/musicians more (either on this site or by video), go to local band gigs more, giving local music reviews, etc. We will get heard, I can do this for you. It won’t be just for me.

Musician Birthdays: Ricky Wilson (guitarist of the B-52’s, famous for the hit, “Love Shack”. Born in 1953), Billy Sheehan (bassist of Mr. Big, famous for the hit, “To Be With You”. Born in 1953), Bruce Willis (Actor, singer. Born in 1955), Carrie Underwood (US country singer/songwriter, winner of 4th season of American Idol. Born in 1983)

– In 1958: During his only UK tour, Buddy Holly played two shows at the Regal Cinema in Hull, Yorkshire. Also on the bill, Gary Miller, The Tanner Sisters, Des O’Conner, The Montanas, Ronnie Keene & His Orchestra.

– In 1962: Bob Dylan’s debut album Bob Dylan was released in the Untied States. Initially poor sales led the record to be known around Columbia Records as ‘Hammond’s Folly’ (John Hammond was producer of Dylan’s early recordings and the man responsible for signing Dylan). The album was praised by the New York City weekly newspaper Village Voice as an ‘explosive country blues debut’, but featured only two Dylan original compositions, Talkin’ New York and Song To Woody, the rest being old folk standards.

– In 1965: The Tailor And Cutter Magazine ran an article asking The Rolling Stones to start wearing ties. The current fashion did not include wearing ties with shirts and many tie-makers were facing financial disaster. Mick Jagger said of the appeal, “The trouble with a tie is that it could dangle in the soup. It is also something extra to which a fan can hang when you are trying to get in and out of a theater.”

– In 1968: The Jimi Hendrix Experience played two shows at The Capitol Theatre, Ottawa, Canada.

– In 1974: Jefferson Airplane re-named the group and became Jefferson Starship. The new line-up included Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, drummer Johnny Barbata, David Freiberg, Peter Kaukonen, Cragi Chaquico and Papa John Creach.

– In 1975: Led Zeppelin played the first of two sold-out nights at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada. Tickets cost $7.50. The set list included: ‘Rock And Roll’, ‘Stairway To Heaven’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’, ‘Black Dog’ and ‘Heartbreaker’.

– In 1982: Ozzy Osbourne’s rhythm guitarist and former Quiet Riot member Randy Rhoads was killed when the plane he was riding in crashed. After driving much of the night, the band had stopped near a small airstrip. The tour bus driver, Andrew Aycock, talked the band’s keyboardist, Don Airey, into taking a test flight in a ’55 Beechcraft Bonanza, the joyride ended, and the plane landed safely. Then Aycock took Rhoads and Rachel Youngblood on another flight and attempts were made to “buzz” the tour bus. The left wing clipped the bus, which sent the plane spiraling into a nearby house and bursting into flames. All three bodies were burned beyond recognition, and were identified by dental records.

– In 1995: Bruce Springsteen started a two week run at No.1 on the US album chart with his ‘Greatest Hits.’

– In 1996: The second Beatles Anthology series was released. The album featured ‘Real Love’, a track the remaining members of the Beatles recorded using an old demo track of John Lennon’s. The song was first recorded by Lennon in 1977 with a handheld tape recorder on his piano at home, it originated as part of an unfinished stage play that Lennon was working on at the time entitled “The Ballad of John and Yoko.”

– In 1999: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band played the second night at the Asbury Park Convention Hall, New Jersey as warm up dates for their forthcoming Reunion Tracks tour.

– In 2006: Shakira was set to become the first pop star to release a single only in the form of a mobile download. The singers forthcoming release ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ would not be issued in the US as a CD or as a download via the internet but would be available to phone users connected to Verizon.

Starting this week for my youtube channel…

…I’m planning on doing a special tribute for Nirvana for Kurt’s upcoming anniversary death, April 5th. There will be a series of Nirvana cover songs by me. Not sure how many Nirvana songs, I will do, but I will try to learn as many as I can before April 5th. I’ll try to learn up to 10 Nirvana songs. Nirvana songs are all pretty simple and easy, so I should learn most of them quickly. What will be the first song? I’m not saying. I’ll upload when ready.

Yep, I really need to study timing and rhythm in music…

I was working with Garage Band on the Ipad for a little while earlier today. Testing out my timing and rhythm skills for the click track. I definitely need to work out my rhythm better. If I want to have band backup behind my songs, I really need to get my timing down better. It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out the timing and rhythm of my original songs ’cause I keep my songs pretty simple and basic, anyway. I plan to practice with a metronome or click track more. I need to get better at this.

Garage Band is a nice Ipad app, but I think I’m just gonna use it just to record song ideas down, just to get ’em out of my head. It’s good software to record guitar riff ideas too.

When you do become a successful local band or solo artist, it does not make you better than everyone else…

Don’t you just love it that when a band or solo artist do become huge and successful in your local area, they think they’re something special and more important? It’s nuts I know. Once they become established and well known, their ego would get a little bigger. This is just local and unsigned music, so it really does not make them any better.

This is the biggest mistake that bands & artists make. This is just my opinion. If you still want to get the respect from the local public, leave your ego at the door. Never act like you’re better than other bands, always act like other bands or musicians are better than you. I don’t think I’m better than other bands & musicians, I know there are a lot of them that are way better than me, musically.

An established and popular band, would get my respect, if they don’t act like a big shot rock star egomaniac. There are too many bands around here that are like that. Not naming names.

My point is, to keep it simple, if you don’t act like a superstar, then you’ll get my respect. Just continue to do your thing, playing the music for the fans that support it. Support other bands & musicians of all levels of talent. Stop acting like you’re better than others, ’cause it certainly is a turn off. I don’t have the time to deal with these kind of bands. If they still act like an unsigned band and not a rock star wannabe, you’ll get my immediate support.

Cool Video: Dave Mustaine interview on InfoWars with Alex Jones…

I listened to this entire interview from start to finish. It was a very well done interview. Dave Mustaine, frontman of Megadeth, is one of the best music interviewers. I’ve been reading his interviews in magazines, he is just very intelligent and insightful.

Even though Dave had a tough time getting along with Metallica over the years, he still loves the band. He always did. Now that their feud is over and done with, hopefully, Dave will do a collaboration album with Metallica, just like they did with Lou Reed.

Enjoy this great interview. This was very entertaining.
