Brock stands up for WWE…

People shouldn’t treat the WWE in a negative direction. I have stood up for WWE countless times in these blogs. Trying my best to defend the company from the ongoing negative critics that points directly at the company. I have been an obsessive fan of wrestling ever since I was a child. I just LOVE professional wrestling. I don’t know why. I just became very addicted to it. I just love how these guys perform. Even if the wrestling is fake and scripted, I still find it entertaining. The promos and the speeches the wrestlers do are amazing. Wrestling is almost like theatre in a way. That’s pretty much what it is. I respect what these guys do and respect how hard they work to perform for fans.

I may not like certain storylines and certain wrestlers, but I will always respect what they do. I have been a fan of WWE my entire life and still am to this day. For those that attack this PG rating, WWE started off as PG in the 80’s when Hulk Hogan, Andre, Ultimate Warrior, Roddy Piper, Macho Man, etc. were around back in those days. That’s all PG. Think about it. WWE wants to re-live that 80’s moment and doing a pretty good job of it. They created many superstars and wrestlers that I enjoyed, and loved. WWE is the reason that I became a huge fan of the hardcore wrestling genius, Mick Foley.

It’s no secret that WWE has always been a huge target in media and by people all over the world. If people are hating on the company, it just proves that the WWE is good at what they do. The company is not really about the money. Not at all. Yes, they are a billion dollar company, but WWE and their superstars really care for people. That’s what they put on these shows for is to entertain us and put smiles on our faces. The WWE are great entertainers. Probably the best in the world. Sure, you may go see, the “Ringling and Barnum & Bailey Circus” or the Big Monster trucks shows, but nobody cares about that stuff anymore. Professional wrestling has pretty much taken over the world of live entertainment for sure.

People accuse wrestlers of using steroids and drugs. People blame the WWE on all of these young wrestler deaths that’s been happening for a long while now. None of this is the WWE’s fault. Wrestlers may have used steroids in the past, but not anymore because WWE has a very strict Wellness policy that performers must follow. The wrestler deaths are not the fault of WWE. Most of the wrestlers that died no longer worked for the WWE. So they did drugs on their own terms when not working for wrestling at all. I can understand why people would blame the WWE on this stuff with drugs since the Chris Benoit controversy, but don’t blame this on the WWE. All they want to do is perform for us, the fans.

The WWE also gets attacked for their women that perform in the WWE, aka the Divas. People accused WWE of using women like sex slaves. How most of them are perfect looking women with breast implants and all that. Treating the women like sex slaves in storylines of WWE has happened in the past. They don’t do that stuff anymore, it all happened back in the TV-14 era. The women that perform on WWE now are no longer sexual. They don’t show cleavages anymore and they cover up a lot of skin now. Plus, beautiful women in WWE is needed so they can help sell tickets and more ppv buyrates.

Without the WWE, there would be no Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, Jake the Snake, Undertaker, Stone Cold, the Rock, John Cena, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Bret the Hitman Hart, etc. All these legendary superstars that mean a lot to so many people were all because of the WWE. People attack WWE out of jealousy, I’m sure. I can’t blame the company for defending themselves. The WWE is a very powerful company. Nothing can take them down although people try. I’ve been watching WWE for over 20 years ever since I was a child, and will watch ’til the day I die. I’ll never outgrow the WWE. I even dreamed of becoming a professional wrestler myself, but that dream is over ’cause I’m too late and too old for that. Most wrestlers start when they are very young.

The WWE is great at what they do, no matter if you like them or not. All these attacks and threats by the politicians at the WWE, is just proof that Linda McMahon will win and she will get elected Senate of Connecticut. Mark my words. Jesse Ventura went through this same trouble during his election for governor of Minnesota, because of his WWE background, but he got the win anyway. I respect the WWE. I respect the McMahon’s and the staff that work so hard at what they do. The WWE has my back, 100%. I will stand behind them, no matter what anybody says or thinks.

“The Karate Kid” remake surprisingly didn’t suck, it was actually very good, I thought!

Last night, I watched, “The Karate Kid” remake that stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith (Will Smith’s son). When it was first announced, that Will Smith planned on putting together a “Karate Kid” remake that was going to star his son in the leading role, it created a lot of internet controversy. Lot of complaints that the film should not be touched from the original that starred, Ralph Macchio and Pat Morrita. I was one of those people complaining about the remake, admittedly. I thought it was the worst idea ever. When the film came out in theater, the film was surprisingly getting good reviews by critics and movie fans. So I thought to myself, “Maybe the film is not as bad as people thought it was?” I figure I would wait for DVD on it. Now that it’s out on DVD, I picked it up last night at Best Buy and watched it right away last night.

To my surprise, I thought it was a really really good movie. I wasn’t bored and it was thoroughly entertaining. The story is pretty much the same as the original Karate Kid, where a young kid and a single mother moves to a new home, the son gets bullied by other school kids, he learns Karate to defend himself. Except the only difference is, the movie is taken place in China and the leading roles are starred by black people. I thought the Chinese style version of this movie is what made it interesting. Jaden is actually a decent actor, he’s not bad as others made it out to be.

What I was most impressed with the movie was Jackie Chan’s acting. This movie proves that Jackie Chan does have the talent with acting. In most Jackie Chan movies, he’s all about action scenes and doing his own stunts. This movie showed a different side of Jackie Chan, that he is a very talented actor. I think he agreed to do this movie, ’cause he thought it was an opportunity to express his acting talent. To let people know that he’s not just an action guy, he want people to know that he can act. While this movie is not Oscar worthy, I would think Jackie’s performance is Oscar worthy enough for Best Supporting Actor, in my opinion, so hope he’ll get a nomination for this. Jackie plays, Mr. Han, a replacement of the Mr. Miyagi character from the original.

I wish Ralph Macchio, agreed to do a cameo in this movie ’cause he would have been perfect for a small role somewhere in this film. It seems that Will Smith is taking a hiatus from acting himself. Will Smith has been busy launching careers for his children. Jaden Smith as an actor and Willow Smith as a singer. They must love having Will Smith as their father. “Karate Kid” remake was actually really good. I liked it a lot. Still not better than the original. I will always love the original more, of course.

Report: Linda McMahon vs. Connecticut state politicians gets even nastier, people aren’t allowed to vote if they wear WWE garbs!!!

Now you understand why Vince McMahon started this, “I Stand Up for WWE” campaign. It’s not only to help his wife in the election for Conn. state senate, it’s also to help defend the company WWE. If voters wear WWE garbs, they will not be allowed to vote.

More on it, here.

I agree, the WWE is being unfairly attacked in the Senate race in Conn. I totally stand up for WWE, all the way. I will be writing a post to stand up for the WWE soon, stay tuned.

I think Linda could possibly win the election though, she may have a chance. Maybe bad publicity with the WWE will help her win, think about it! After all, Jesse Ventura’s background with WWE helped him win as governor of Minnesota, right?

BREAKING NEWS: Steven Spielberg will go back to sci fi, “Robopocalypse” will be his next project!!!

Steven Spielberg has decided his next film will be “Robopocalypse” which will be adapted from a science fiction novel. Spielberg will start shooting this movie in January of 2012. This will be Steven Spielberg’s first science fiction movie since “War of the World’s” remake in 2005. Spielberg did other science fiction movies such as, “E.T.”, “Close Encounters”, “Artificial Intelligence” and “Minority Report”.

Read more here at, Deadline.

Wonder if this movie will star Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks. Wouldn’t surprise me if Steven is thinking about getting one of them for the leading role. I expect this to be a big popcorn movie full of CGI and all that.

I love Spielberg and all, but I love his movies more when he does his serious drama stuff more than his sci fi. I really love, “Schindler’s List”, “Amistad”, and “The Terminal”. I’m sure “War Horse” would be good too.

BREAKING NEWS: Liam Neeson is Mel Gibson’s replacement for “The Hangover” sequel!!!

Well, that was fast! Just a few days after Mel Gibson was fired from his “Hangover 2” cameo, the film makers already found a replacement. That replacement is none other than the great, Liam Neeson! The film makers must of already hired Liam as a backup plan in case Mel turned it down or got fired. It usually takes a long time for film makers to ask actors for movies, so they must of already had Liam as their second choice.

More on it, here.

This might shock some of you readers, but I’ve never even seen the first “Hangover” movie yet. I’ll see it soon.

Film Review: Paranormal Activity 2

Starring: Katie Featherston

So I’ve just seen the movie, “Paranormal Activity 2” today. Since I liked the first one, I decided to see the second one to see how much it improved. Here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: This film is taken place several months before the haunting of Micah and Katie Featherston from the first film. Kristi Featherston, who is Katie’s sister, is the leading character in this film lives in a huge home with security cameras installed. Kristi lives in the home with her husband Dan, they have a son together named, Hunter. They also live with a dog named, Abby, and Dan has a daughter named, Ali, who is also Kristi’s step-daughter. As the family tries to live their everyday lives in the home, strange things start to happen. Kristi and Ali begins to think that there is a ghost in the house, but Dan wouldn’t believe them. The surveillance cameras would capture all the ghostly moments that happen during the night.

I really liked the first “Paranormal Activity” film, but there were a lot of problems in the writing and the camera work. The first film was entertaining, yes, but it could have been better. So what did I think of “Paranormal Activity 2”, the sequel? There is definitely a huge improvement. I thought it was a perfect horror film all around. This is what a horror film is supposed to be. Scary, low budget, no blood & gore, no crazy special effects, etc. The writing and camera work of this film was MUCH better than the last. The film did a great job keeping this realistic, they made it seem like something like this can happen in real life. The film was unpredictable. I didn’t know what was going to happen next, every time I guessed, I was wrong. I never really jump at horror films, but I actually jumped off of my seat a few times.

This movie is actually scary as hell. Seriously, it is. True horror at it’s best. We need more horror flicks like this. All them teen slasher flicks with blood, gore and naked girls are getting old after a while. This film didn’t have any of that. That’s what makes horror films scary. Lots of twists and turns, and the film did keep me at the edge of my seat. The ending was better than the last one as well. I won’t talk about the ending of course. I can give you a hint, that Katie does return to this movie but not very much, she only has a small role in this film.

I was very impressed with the film. It’s got to be one of the best new horror films I’ve seen in a long time. This film has a bit of an Alfred Hitchcock feel. I never really get spooked watching horror films since I’ve been watching them for years so I’m pretty used to it. I was actually kind of spooked with this one. I thought the film was fantastic! This is the way to do horror!

Score for “Paranormal Activity 2” = **** (4 stars as in “excellent”)

BREAKING NEWS: Mel Gibson fired from his “Hangover 2” cameo, cast complained…

TMZ reported that Mel Gibson has been fired from his “Hangover 2” cameo as a tattoo artist, because the cast members of the film got pissed and complained to the film makers. Mel’s cameo for the film has been canceled.

See the article here at, TMZ.

Poor Mel. Can’t blame the cast members. I don’t understand why Mel continues to work on film when it’s not a good time for him to be working now. Don’t you think he’d take a hiatus until everything calms down? Nope. Mel probably needs the money. Can’t blame the cast members for complaining. You never know Mel could lose his temper on set.

Thought: Other types of bullying, not just gay bullying…

This thing about gay bullying just keeps going in the news and on the internet with people starting these stupid campaigns to help fight it. There are other types of bullying. Not just bullies making fun of homosexuals. What other types of bullying? I’ve said in a post before, bullies target those that are small, ugly, fat, shy, etc. People accusing others of being gay when they are really straight, that is bullying too. You can also add, making fun of people’s disabilities to be considered as bullying as well. Calling people, “retarded” is another one. All that stuff, bullying.

I don’t make fun of or bully people. I’ve never really been that type of guy. I’ve always treated people with respect, no matter what kind of person they are. It is pretty much high school stuff. I don’t know why people still do it.

People starting these campaigns on the internet, fighting bullying, is not going to stop bullies for picking on people. I will repeat myself, that the only way to end bullying is to stick up for yourself. It is why I have to report and have to delete everything online with other people that attacks me. That’s called, being a tough guy in return and fighting back. People think they can get away with saying what they want about you, when you can’t let them do that. If you’re a victim of bullying of any kind, whether it’s online or in the real world, you’ve got to stick up for yourself and be a tough guy. All these campaigns online are silly, in my opinion. I don’t hit, “like” on any of them in facebook.

I don’t let anybody get to me, no matter how tough they think they are. If people want to be a tough guy, then I’m going to be one too, that’s all there is to it. That is how you end bullying for good.

RIP: Bob Guccione 1930 – 2010

Legendary publisher, Bob Guccione has passed away due to cancer at a hospital in Plato, Texas. He was famous for creating and starting the adult magazine, Penthouse, back in the 1960’s. It was a way to compete with Hugh Hefner’s, Playboy. Guccione left Penthouse magazine in 2003, the social networking site, FriendFinder, buys the Penthouse magazine later on. Penthouse magazine is still going strong to this day. Penthouse is honestly, one of my favorite adult magazines, it always has been for years. I’m not afraid to say that I was already looking at the magazine when I was underage, it’s true!!

Guccione is also famous for using a lot of his money to put together the movie, “Caligula”, that starred: Malcolm MacDowell and Helen Mirren.

Seems like a new celebrity death happens day after day this week, really weird!

My chest has gotten a little better

My new plan for improving my chest pecs is really working. Only training the chest one day a week and not doing push ups at all the rest of the week. You only do pushups on the same day you train chest on. You need to give your pecs plenty of resting and healing, then you’ll get those male supermodel like pecs in no time. I’m noticing my pecs have been shaping up a little bit at a time each week. Been concentrating on working the lower chest more too, doing decline flies and decline push ups. Maybe in Florida, I’ll take a few shirtless pics of me down there since it’ll be warm. I’m sure I’ll be hitting the swimming pool or the beach at some point. I’ll get to walk around Orlando wearing shorts and wifebeater shirts, since you can’t wear that stuff here in NY anymore, which is going to be nice!
