Report: WWE superstar, Sheamus, finally explains why he don’t tan…

WWE Superstar, Sheamus, did an interview with ESPN to help promote the new, “Smackdown vs. RAW 2011” video game. Ever wondered why his skin is so white and why John Cena calls him, a “human jar of mayonaise”? Why can’t he get a tan? It’s because he can’t.

Sheamus said:

“I can’t get a tan, to be honest with you. I get bright red, then I get white again. [laughs] I can’t actually get a tan, but what’s funny is it has definitely helped me stand out from day one. Just being different — not being tan, not having the short hair or the long hair like everybody else, my Irish accent — there are a lot of different things that put me in the right place at the right time, and I knew if I got the opportunity, I’d take it. That’s what I’ve done from day one. You give me an opportunity, I’ll run a mile.”

Honestly, I think Sheamus looks good being bright white. It makes it looks like he’s got a natural muscular built that way. Maybe so many wrestling fans wants to see him tan ’cause he’s one of the only wrestlers who never tans? Most every single professional wrestler out there have a perfectly tanned body.

Not with Sheamus though. I think he wants to prove that you can get muscle definition and results by not tanning at all. I don’t think Sheamus has done steroids. His physique doesn’t look steroid built to me at all. He looks perfectly natural to me.

Feel free to read the rest of the interview here.

I need to drop a little more bodyfat to get the six pack…

I do have a visible 4 pack abs, but if I want to get the full six pack washboard, I still have a little bit of lower belly flab that needs to get rid of. I’ll admit that. If you get a 4 pack and not a full 6 pack, you’re doing really good and you’re on your way to getting the flat washboard. The only way to do that is do more cardio and get more strict on meals. Like I’m going to have to cut down on ice cream as a late night snack and eat only fruits. Getting a visible washboard belly is not as difficult as everyone else thinks. It’s actually an easy thing to do. It also doesn’t take that long to get a six pack. If you do it right, I read it can take about a few weeks to get a six pack if you’re good in bodyfat. An overweight person will obviously take a long time to get the six pack, but for someone who is not obese will only take a short period of time. I can get the six pack and will prove the world that I can get that goal.

It’s been quite the weekend for the Brock…

The blog’s been slow this weekend ’cause I had a death in the family earlier this week. I won’t reveal who passed on publicly but it is somebody close to my family. I attended the funeral over the weekend and was selected as one of the pallbearer’s to help carry the casket. Not too worry, though, I’m all good and cool. I am sad over this person’s passing of course, ’cause I try to stay positive and strong. Saw all kinds of family and friends over the weekend, so that made the weekend a little better.

That’s why this blog has been slow this weekend, been busy with my personal life off the computer.

I will say this though that most everyone I talked to over the weekend  commented on my fitness physique. Most everyone says I’m looking really good and fit. Someone over the weekend asked me to flex my arms, I at first refused to do it ’cause I am a little shy to show off my muscles in public, I guess, but they talked me into it. When I finally did flex my arms and my biceps the whole crowd at the family party after the funeral, all eyes were on me with a shocked look on their face. True story, believe me. I wish I’d caught that on video. I did not go shirt less ’cause no one asked me to yet.

The thing with body building and fitness, you can’t even tell your own strength and can’t tell if you look good or not. When you get so many people commenting on your physique in a positive way, then you’ll know you’re going somewhere.

I’ve been doing more cardio over the week too, did more jogging and jump roping, hoping to lose a little more bodyfat, to drop down a couple. I want to measure my own bodyfat, my own way with just a tape measure. I don’t trust those computerized callipers at the gym.

I will catch up with the blog more tonight and the rest of the week.

Showing off my 14 inch arm!!!

I recently picked up a cheap body tape measure because when you’re into fitness/bodybuilding, it is very important to measure your muscles on your body once in a while. I’m going to start doing this. Will keep a record of this stuff to keep track of my progress. Can you read how much that arm is? Yes, that’s right, 14 inches. There’s the pic for proof.

Everybody has their own method of diet when it comes to fitness…

When it comes to fitness, I have noticed when people say “eat right”, each fitness person out there have their own method of eating “right”. One person says avoid this and this, the next person says eat more of this and that. What I’m saying is, every fitness person and bodybuilder out there have their own style of eating “right”. Some would prefer to eat a lot of proteins, some would prefer to eat a lot of vegetables/fruits more than anything, some would eat more carbs/fiber, etc. Everyone is different. This is why it’s so hard to discuss “diet” when it comes to fitness. So, the trick is, just do whatever “diet” in fitness that is right for you. If you want to eat healthy all the time and everyday, that’s fine. If you want to eat healthy most of the week and eat whatever you want on the weekends only, that’s fine too.

I do try to keep my meals strict but NOT that strict. I drink nothing but water now (you have to give up alcohol and soda completely, sorry), eating more greens, whole grains, anything without high fructose corn syrup, fish, egg whites, vegetables/fruit, greek yogurt, etc. I do have one cheat snack, ice cream would be the only thing I would touch for a cheat. The cheats will help put the calories on a little bit.

I’m trying my best to get the washboard six pack like a lot of people want and it is showing a little bit, so I’m doing good, I think.

Oh yeah, one more thing, when it comes to fitness, and when people show off their physiques, the one thing you don’t want to do is be “critical”. I’ve seen many people’s physiques when they show off their bodies, and the one thing you don’t want to do is say “eeewwww” or “gross” or “disgusting”. It is a rude thing to do because it makes them feel like they didn’t go anywhere. Some people may not have the greatest physiques yet, I would agree there, but I never say anything nasty. You just want to say, “good job, keep up the good work”. You want to make them feel proud of the work they did so far.

My physique that I have now isn’t super HOT yet, I have years of work ahead of me to get that bodybuilder look that I want. I have a decent start now, but people should be proud and happy for me of what I have so far instead of being jealous and critical.

My fitness posing video is creating controversy in facebook…

So my fitness video is being promoted in facebook recently, and  yes, it is sparking a bit of controversy. Mainly, people making fun of it. The thing is, I even said people can make fun of it all they want to in the description of the youtube video itself. That was the whole point of the video. It was put out there for laughs and for people to pick on it if they wanted. So in reality, I don’t really care if people poke fun at that video ’cause that’s what I wanted people to do.

There will be much more fitness videos on the way. What you see in that video is just a working progress. I have a lot of work to do and it takes time to improve my physique. I will keep going to get the look that I want. I think it’s pretty clear that there is a little jealousy when people treat my fitness adventures in a negative direction. There are too many people around the Capital District area that are alcoholics and people eat a lot of junk food. Maybe that’s why some people get mad ’cause they know I’m more healthier than them? Those critics making fun of the video, know that I’m ripped, they are already saying stuff about the muscles on my body. So those negative comments actually makes me believe I’m going somewhere with my fitness adventures.

The thing is, I don’t write health blogs and post fitness videos for myself. I hope to inspire others to achieve their fitness dreams & goals.  I hope other people around the area, look at what I do and say, “I need to stop eating so much and get in shape”.

Despite the negative feedback of that video, I’m thankful that it has been spreaded around and getting more views on that video. So keep it going. There will be much more fitness videos on the way. I need to find a camera person to video tape my workout routines at the gym. I can video tape myself doing home workouts too though, will do that soon. I wanna show everyone my home workout routine.

Thought: Don’t go to the gym just to work out, go as if it actually means something to you…

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people go to the gym just for something to do. They show lack of passion for it, like they don’t have the energy and heart to get in shape. Most people at the gym I go to, look pretty bored doing it and they don’t train with enough intensity. Many people in town, use that gym to lose weight and stuff. Not many folks use it for bodybuilding like I use it for. The thing is, you don’t want to go to the gym just for something to do, like if it’s nothing. You want to show your passion of going to the gym and take pride in doing it. Going to the gym that actually means something is important. Set goals for yourself each day you go to the gym and achieve that goal. Here’s what you do, think to yourself, “How intense do I want to train? Should I train heavy or light? Should I do more reps and sets? What workouts should I do today” Things like that.

I’ve had people at the gym stop what they’re doing to watch me a little bit ’cause I believe they admire my dedication and passion like going to the gym actually means something. Some people would even talk to me a bit while I’m resting between a set. Just to comment on my training skills. So this is one way to get in shape successfully, is train with passion and take pride in everything you do.

A lot of people work out just to be happier and get rid of stress. Just to help brighten up their day after bad days at work or at home. That’s the reason I do it too, to make me happier and become stronger emotionally, but I work out to get fit and at the gym, I like to show my passion for it. Just to show that I really love what I do.

Why does getting in shape always have to be summer ready? Stay fit all year round!

A lot of people I’ve noticed, don’t workout during the fall and Winter seasons, then they start working out in the Spring to be summer ready. They only workout on and off, only workout in the Spring/Summer so they can look better half naked at the beach. I’ve said it before, not with me. You should really look fit and muscular all year round. Keep going non stop. The reason is, you can keep your muscle. You’re gonna lose your ripped physique if you stop for a long while. You should still be able to have that hot body during the fall/Winter too and still look great.

All I’ve been wearing in the summer, is mostly wife beaters and sleeveless sports shirts now and feels great for wearing that stuff out in public a lot more often. I’ve had people comment on my physique just by wearing that. So yeah, keep working out in fitness for a whole year, and keep going. Just because it gets cold and rainy during the fall/Winter doesn’t mean you have to stop working out. Nothing’s stopping ya no matter the weather. You can always workout indoors.

It don’t always have to be in the summer. I’m gonna keep right on going.

Edit to add: btw, my abs could look a little better as well. I need to work on the obliques and the lower abs more. I learned more workouts for those. I learned that to get a full well rounded six pack or even an 8 pack, you can’t just do basic crunches. Gotta find workouts that can twist, curl and bend your abs. The whole thing. I’m planning to re-work my abs program a little bit.

Exactly how ripped do I want to be?

I ask myself that question all the time, “How ripped do I want to get?” “How much bigger will I get?” The answer is, I don’t know. I’m just going to keep doing the best I can. Do my best to tone my body up and become the shape of my life. Most guys would obsess with wanting to get bigger, I want it too, but I’m not rushing it. You can get in decent shape in less than a year easily. Just be proud of what you have now and be proud that you came this far. You may not think you’re in good enough shape when you’ve only been doing it for a year like I have, but when you get a lot of great comments from people on your physique, that means you are off to a great start. It’s a great time for me to start fitness/bodybuilding now as long as I’m still young, that way I can be really jacked when I’m 40.

I guess, doing barbell benching is useful. Every week I do it, my chest gets a little bigger and stronger. I’m feeling it. The strength is there. Anyways, back to how big I want to be…I’ll just try to get big as I possibly can. That’s what bodybuilding is all about, that’s the whole point of it. You want to try and get big as you can.

There is going to be a YMCA that will be built in Greenwich later this year. Yes, it’s true. Read it in the paper that the YMCA will open sometime in Dec. this Winter. When the Y opens, I’m probably gonna go there instead of the “Fitness Center”. The Y will have a better weight room and better bodybuilding equipment.

Thought: Are egg yolks really all that bad for you? The truth is, it isn’t!!!

I just caught this video by Scooby and he claims, egg yolks are bad for your health ’cause they are too fatty and high in calories. He also says they have bad pesticides. Carefully doing research online, I’ve read that if you throw out the egg yolk, you are throwing out most of the healthy ingredients inside the yolk.

Such articles as these say that egg yolks is the important part of building muscle:

http://www.articlesbase.com/health-articles/are-egg-yolks-really-unhealthy-356261.html

http://www.fitsugar.com/Egg-White-Vs-Egg-Yolk-Which-Better-364527

And you can google up more articles that will tell you how egg yolks are actually pretty healthy.

I look at sites like bodybuilding.com and the forum there, most of them don’t throw out the egg yolks….take a look at this thread and most everybody says egg yolks are good:

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=112385311

Yeah, no wonder Scoob got a lot of flak because he’s full of shit.

I eat quite a bit of eggs myself and I don’t throw out the yolk.
