BREAKING NEWS: The Official Oscar nominees for 2009 are here!!!

The Oscar nominations for the year of 2009 have been announced.

The Official “Best Picture” nominations:

“Benjamin Button”

“Frost/Nixon”

“Milk”

“The Reader”

“Slumdog Millionaire”

The only “Dark Knight” nominations were Heath Ledger for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role”, “Visual Effects”, “Sound Mixing/Editing”, “Makeup”, “Film Editing”, and “Art Direction”. “Dark Knight” got robbed of every other category.

I’m glad Mickey Rourke got nominated for “Best Actor” so that means he’ll be competing with Brad Pitt, you’ll never know who’ll win that one.

I’m glad Angelina Jolie was nominated for the “Changeling” ’cause that’s a good performance, I don’t think she’ll win that one, Kate Winslet will probably get the win.

I think “Benjamin Button” will probably sweep everything.

Thought: If Clint Eastwood gets nominated for “Best Actor”, then this is bad news for Mickey Rourke…

We all know that Mickey Rourke will definitely get nominated for “Best Leading Actor” for his movie “The Wrestler”, but what if Clint Eastwood gets nominated for his role as Walt Kowalksi in “Gran Torino” for the “Best Leading Actor” category?

If Eastwood does get the actor category for “Gran Torino”, then Rourke is screwed. Eastwood won two Oscars for “Best Director” in the past but he never won anything for “Best Actor” yet, could this year finally be Eastwood’s chance? If Eastwood’s in the nomination, then I don’t see Rourke winning at all.

Eastwood’s role in “Gran Torino” is Oscar worthy enough, I’ll tell you that right now.

A few changes to the 5 films predicted for “Best Picture” at the Oscars, here they are:

“The Dark Knight”

“Wall-E”

“Benjamin Button”

“Milk”

“Slumdog Millionaire”

We’ll see if I’m right on these ones when the nominations are revealed tomorrow. Nobody thinks that “Wall-E” is “Best Picture” worthy but believe me, I think it’ll make “Best Picture” tomorrow. Animated films have made “Best Picture” nominations in the Oscars before and it don’t hurt to try it again. We’ll wait for tomorrow to see what happens. 🙂

Well, this is it, the 81st Oscar nominations is about to be revealed, this coming Thursday.

I think the nominations for “Best Picture” is actually pretty unpredictable. So many great movies to choose from. I think the “Dark Knight” will make “Best Picture” nomination, no matter what happens. Just because “Dark Knight” didn’t make “Best Picture” nomination for the Golden Globes, doesn’t mean it has no chance at the Oscars either.

I think the Oscars goal this year is that they want a mainstream and popular film to get a nomination this year. The Oscars have been nominating too many films that no one has even heard about over the years.

I’m still rooting for “The Dark Knight” and “Wall-E'” getting nominated for “Best Picture”. The Academy made it clear before that they want to give an animated film a nomination this year, so the Oscar nominations will be a little different than the Golden Globes.

I don’t think “Slumdog Millionaire” will sweep the Oscars, “The Dark Knight” will. I can’t wait for Thursday because I’m dying to see the nominations myself!!!

Report: Ralph Macchio finally speaks out on the “Karate Kid” remake and he seems to not like the idea of it…

MTV News caught up with a full grown Ralph Macchio, the original Karate Kid, and Ralph speaks out on the new “Karate Kid” remake, which stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.

Ralph says that he feels real good that the public is not wanting a “Karate Kid” remake, in other words, he likes how the public is saying the “Karate Kid” movie can’t be copied. So that’s a pretty good sign right there, that Ralphy doesn’t sound too excited about the remake either. Don’t expect him to have a small role in the film now ’cause I don’t see it happening.

It’s good to see a new interview with Ralphy after all these years, he still looks the same even though he’s in his 40’s now and his looks and speaking voice hasn’t changed a bit!!!

Kudos for Ralphy for his honesty about the remake!!!

Cool Video: Arnold and Sly at Caffe Roma, latest pap video…

Another short paparrazi video in California where Sly and Arnold are leaving Caffe Roma for a meal together. Again, Sly likes talking with the paps, Arny completely avoids them. This is a new video that was videotaped on 1/17/09.

Why is Arny and Sly spending so much time together lately? Is this a hint that Sly is in negotiations with Arny to star in “The Expendables” too? Lets keep our fingers crossed on this one. Could Arny be the last surprise annoucement for “The Expendables”? Here’s hoping Arny will be in the film too!!!

Report: Linda Hogan is a nightmare at Sundance fest…

Linda Hogan, her new boyfriend (who is Nick’s best friend) and Nick attended the Sundance film festival earlier last weekend. They weren’t there for any reason. They didn’t have a film to promote or nothing like that, they were just there for one word…publicity. She was annoying the vendors by asking them to take a picture of her and she was making out with her new man publicily at the Festival.

Man, what a bitch. If the Hulkster was there to see all that, Hulk wouldn’t be happy about it and he would have dragged her right out of there. I’m glad Hulk and Linda aren’t together anymore. Now that Hulk is happily single, he can hook up with all the ladies he wants now. I never liked Linda anyways, Hulk deserves better.
