Report: Depp, Farrell, Law donate “Dr. Parnassus” paychecks to Matilda…

Everybody thinks “The Dark Knight” is Heath Ledger’s final film, but it’s not true. If everyone gets their facts straight, Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” is Heath’s last and final film ever. This was the film Heath Ledger was still filming before he died. Heath Ledger originally was supposed to play the leading role throughout the entire film but due to his death, three big name actors took over Heath’s spot leaving the real Heath a cameo in the film.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law who starred in the film agreed to give their paychecks they got from making the film to Matilda, the daughter of Heath and Michelle Williams.

More on it here:

Those three guys did a great thing. They got plenty of money, they don’t really need it. Matilda deserved it.

Kudos.

Thought: Who else should star in “Inglorious Bastards”?

So far the confirmed cast is Brad Pitt, Mike Myers, and Eli Roth. I’ve read that Simon Pegg pulled out and some unknown actor got in. It was already announced that Leo Dicaprio maybe getting in soon.

Who do you predict that maybe getting the “Inglorious Bastards” cast?

I’m thinking Sylvester Stallone may get announced soon because Stallone has been quiet about his next movie and I think Stallone is waiting for the right time to announce he’s in this. So I definitely have him in mind. I really think “Inglorious Bastards” would be great for Stallone, this movie almost belongs to Stallone and I really hope Tarantino gets him.

Other actors besides Sly….I think Billy Bob Thornton would be a great addition to the cast. Maybe David Carridine too. I think Denzel Washington would be awesome in this flick as well. As for actresses, I hope Tarantino doesn’t go after Uma Thurman again but I’d like to see Scarlett Johansson in this.

Report: Robert Downey Jr. on the Dark Knight, “Fuck DC Comics” he says…

Robert Downey Jr. recently saw “The Dark Knight” himself, and he surprisingly enough is not a fan of the film, he has some harsh words to say about Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” film…read here:

Which apparently was not the case with the other big summer movie “The Dark Knight”. “My whole thing is that that I saw ‘The Dark Knight’. I feel like I’m dumb because I feel like I don’t get how many things that are so smart. It’s like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I’m like, ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.’ I loved ‘The Prestige’ but didn’t understand ‘The Dark Knight’. Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I’m like, ‘I get it. This is so high brow and so f–king smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.’ You know what? F-ck DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”

When he says, “they need to make him the badguy”, I think we all know he’s referring to Heath Ledger’s Joker although he doesn’t say it in the interview. I think what Robert means is that he wants the Joker in the new film, be more evil and intense, not being all happy and laughing.

Read the rest of the interview here:

Look like Robert is definitely more of a Marvel fan than DC Comics.

Thought: Star Wars should get boycotted?

You know what I’m sick of? I’m sick of everyone on the internet complaining and bitching about George Lucas and Star Wars. If you hate the way the Star Wars direction is going, then it’s simple, STOP SUPPORTING STAR WARS AND GEORGE LUCAS!!!!!!

George Lucas continues to keep shoving Star Wars into our faces, with The Clone Wars animated movie and now the upcoming live action TV series of the same thing. George made the 6 movies and already told the story of what needed to be told. The stories don’t need to be continued. The 6 movies are just fine the way they are.

If you don’t like Geroge keep coming out with Star Wars stuff all the time, then STOP watching them and stop supporting him. IT’S EASY!!!! I am not going to see “The Clone Wars” in theaters because I have no interest in seeing it all, and I won’t even see it when the animated film comes out on DVD as well. I won’t even watch the upcoming live action TV series.

George doesn’t care if people hate the Star Wars films or not. He’s never going to let Star Wars die, I’ve been saying from day 1 that he’s been doing it for the money and his own ego, and it’s good to see Star Wars fans finally realizing it. I’m sick of Star Wars. Sick of it, sick of it, sick of it.

If you ignore George and the Star Wars franchise, then maybe he will stop doing them when he realizes that no one cares about Star Wars anymore.

This is why I enjoy Star Trek a lot more because Star Trek is more about the storytelling, than the action and fantasy. I love Star Trek. Star Trek is more maturing than the childish Star Wars as if they came from a children’s book. I like Star Wars too, but only the first 6 films, we don’t need anymore Star Wars. It’s all pathetic. The hell with George Lucas, now he plans on re-releasing all 6 Star Wars films into 3-D versions to theaters everywhere, yawn. George is such an egomaniac, all he cares about is Star Wars. He can’t do other original work other than Star Wars because he loves the attention he’s getting off the franchise.

Boycott Star Wars and Lucasfilms.

Report: Ben Stiller beats down Batman witih “Tropic Thunder”…

Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder” has just topped the box office this weekend, bringing Batman down to no. 2. Batman couldn’t stay no. 1 for the 5th week in a row, I guess. “Tropic Thunder” made a whopping $26 million.

The Associated Press reports:

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jb68x_tOGx8QHjI0Cr6C-Vy79OGgD92K6GF01

I wouldn’t blame the “retard” content in the film only making $26 million that turned people off of watching the film. I think the main reason the film only made $26 million is that most people have been staying home watching the Olympics since the Olympics ratings have been so high. If the Olympics didn’t happen at all this year, I’m sure “Tropic Thunder” would have made a lot more.

Report: Yahoo! Users Top Rated Sci Fi films…

This is possibly the worst Top movies list I’ve ever seen online, check it out for yourself:

http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/collections/gallery/970/yahoo-users-toprated-scifi-films#photo0

Most of those films are not even science fiction flicks, there’s too many superhero movies on there that aren’t even science fiction films like “Iron Man” and “Spiderman”.

The only superhero movie that is true science fiction is the Superman movies, the Superman movies has always been known for science fiction. What’s even worse about this list is that there is not one Star Trek film in it.

Here’s what a real top 30 science fiction list should look like in my own opinion, my personal favorite sci fi flicks are here in no particular order:

Enemy Mine, John Carpenter’s “Starman”, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, 2001: A Space Oddysey, Blade Runner, Planet of the Apes (original), David Lynch’s “Dune”, The Abyss, Metropolis, Stargate, The Road Warrior: Mad Max 2, Dark City, Alien, Aliens, Gattaca, The War of the Worlds (original), Pitch Black, Space Camp, Cocoon, Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, Apollo 13, K-Pax, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Now there’s your true science fiction top list. Those who don’t list any of those films is not a true fan of science fiction.

Report: Tom Cruise is now the main boss at United Artists studios since Paula Wagner departure…

Paula Wagner may no longer work for UA but that doesn’t mean Tom Cruise is out of the job. Tom Cruise is now the main manager/boss at United Artists film company that was runned by both Tom Cruise himself and Paula Wagner. United Artists is a film production company that is owned by MGM studios. Paula Wagner announced she is leaving the company and MGM studios has allowed Tom Cruise to take over the companies lead in his full control.

MGM is impressed with his work for the company and proud of his profesionalism.

More on it here:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=7&entry_id=29167

I see Tom Cruise using that company to release all of his new movies with, and he’s already doing that with “Valkyrie”. He’s only working there to help save his movie career since Paramount no longer wants him.
