I am kind of shocked that Scorsese pulled out. He seems too committed to this project until now. I guess Scorsese has too many upcoming films to make on his hands.

Hmmmm, a singing Bruce Lee while fighting?

I don’t know about this one.

I hope they can cast good actors that know karate for this one though. The leading actor for Bruce Lee will need to learn Bruce’s karate skills and it’s going to be long hard work for sure.

Report: Eastwood says no to returning as Dirty Harry…

Those who think Clint Eastwood will be reprising his legendary action hero character Dirty Harry, think again. Dirty Harry Eastwood himself says “NO” to it, when asked about it at Cannes when he was at the “Changeling” premiere. So don’t expect Dirty Harry to return to the big screen anytime soon.

The Associated Press reports:

I think Eastwood is lying, trying to keep surprises underwraps. Dirty Harry will come back, trust me.

Report: “Highlander” remake greenlighted…

Summit Entertainment studios had just greenlighted to remake the first original “Highlander” film which was made back in 1986. The original “Highlander” film starred Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery. They are not only re-making the first one, they plan to start the series all over again with a clean slate and to hopefully make them better films. Summit has signed the writers from the movie “Iron Man” to write the “Highlander” remake and they want the original “Highlander” producer of the original film to produce the new version.

Since the earlier “Highlander” films and TV spinoffs were flops, Summit studios hopes to bring the “Highlander” series back with a high note by making the series successful this time around.

No director and no cast has been signed to the remake as of this moment.

Hmmmm, will they get Christopher Lambert back as Connor Macleod? I hope so. I actually love the 4 Highlander films as a matter of fact, I’m a huge fan of those movies.

Film Review: “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”…

Starring: Ben Barnes, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, and Anna Poplewell

Directed by: Andrew Adamson

Yep, I just got back from seeing the movie “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” the second of the 7 series of novels made into a film. The original title to the book is “Prince Caspian: The Return To Narnia” of course, they had to change it for the film version.

The second movie focuses on the story where the Pevensie kids from the first one (played by the same cast from the first), return to Narnia again by accident while the kids were waiting for a subway train to come by. An evil King named King Miraz is the new main villain for this sequel who is played by actor Sergio Castellitto. While the Pevensie’s were gone from Narnia for over a 100 years, King Miraz has taken over Narnia, the Pevensie’s must find ways to battle King Miraz and his army out of Narnia so the Narnia people can be safe. So the Pevensie kids got help with Prince Caspian. Prince Caspian and the Pevensie kids worked together to get their own army to fight off Miraz. Does Aslan the lion (who is voiced by Liam Neeson by the way) return to help the Pevenzie’s and Prince Caspian out? You will have to watch the film and find out.

As far as my thoughts on the film goes, I was in complete awe throughout the entire film. I was speechless. Amazing cinematography, and once again the film blew me the hell away. Amazing musical score, the acting is once again great. The film is violent, and pretty much action packed. The film is a lot darker than the last one. The film has some of the most baddest sword fighting I’ve seen in any fantasy film ever. The film was “amazing” and I would say that “Prince Caspian” is the best film of the year so far!!!

There are seven novels for the Chronicles of Narnia series written by C.S. Lewis. Since they already done “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian”, they now have to make the other ones into films in the future. The ones they have to do left are: “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” (which would be Narnia 3), “The Silver Chair”, “The Horse and His Boy”, “The Magician’s Nephew”, and “The Last Battle”. The question is, will Disney make movies of all 7 Narnia books? They probably will I would imagine. If Harry Potter can do it, why can’t Narnia? Will the same cast who played the Pevensie children play in the rest of them? Yes definitely. Because the last couple of “Narnia” books, the Pevensie kids are adults then so Disney will probably want to keep the cast for the rest of the films so they can grow older as the films go along.

I love the “Narnia” series a lot more than “Lord of the Rings” or “Harry Potter”. I love the story telling in “Narnia”, I’m just fascinated by the great characters C.S. Lewis created. I would reccomend you all to go see “Prince Caspian”, such a beautiful film, I loved every minute of it and didn’t fall asleep at all.

Score for “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” = **** (4 stars as in excellent)

Report: Aaaaarrggghhhh…another pirate movie coming to the big screen, but not Disney’s Carribean…

Dreamworks has greenlighted another pirate movie to the big screen but this time it’s not a sequel to Disney’s “Pirates of the Carribean” series. Since Disney’s “Carribean” trilogy is all done and making no more sequels, Dreamworks decided to try to keep the pirate movies going.

Dreamworks will be bringing the legendary pirate “Blackbeard” to the big screen which is supposedly based on a true story. David Franzoni who wrote the films “Amistad” and “Gladiator” will be writing the script for “Blackbeard”.

No leading role for “Blackbeard” and no director has been signed yet, just writers and producers.

Variety reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117986031.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

I never liked the “Pirates of the Carribean” trilogy. I hope they make “Blackbeard” a better pirate film.

Make “Blackbeard” a bloody and violent film instead of a family popcorn flick.

Who should direct and star in “Blackbeard”? I’d say give it to director Ridley Scott since Franzoni already worked with him in “Gladiator”, Ridley would make a great pirate movie.

As for who plays the role of Blackbeard himself, I’d say give it Hugh Jackman!

Thought: The success of “Grand Theft Auto IV” calls for a live action movie…

Yes, I know. Most movies adapted from videogames are crap. But a “Grand Theft Auto” live action movie would work and would be a really good one if done right. I remember Hollywood came this close to greenlighting a “Grand Theft Auto” movie back in the early 90’s with Enimem attached to starring the leading role, but as the news reported a while back, they dumped the “Grand Theft Auto” movie just recently.

It don’t hurt to fight for it to get made. I think a GTA  movie would be great.

As for the leading role of Grand Theft Auto film, it should definitely be a younger actor. Eminem is not a bad choice, he would be good but Marshall Mathers has gotten a lot older. I think Vin Diesel would also be a perfect choice for a leading role in a GTA film. I would also root for Matt McConaughey, Christian Bale or Edward Norton for the leading roles. Any of those guys would work in my opinion.

As for villains for the Grand Theft Auto film, think how Al Pacino would be terrific for a mob boss, Alec Baldwin would make a great mob boss too. Jack Nicholson too? Gary Oldman, Kevin Bacon, or Sly Stallone would be awesome for a mean mob guy.

If there ever were going to be a “Grand Theft Auto” live action film, they should definitely make it similar to the videogames, make it bloody violent, with lots of drug use and sexy women in the film version. Don’t make the movie a popcorn flick, a serious action movie similar to something like the Bourne series. I hope a Grand Theft Auto movie does get made in the future ’cause if it did, it would be more popular than the videogames.

As for “Grand Theft Auto IV”, I’m almost at the end of the game already, I played it most of the weekend, I have ten more missions left. I’m on this mission titled “Hostile Negotiations” where you have to rescue this guy from the mob in this warehouse, there’s a lot of gun shooting in this one ’cause you have to fight so many enemies, this is probably the most toughest mission in the entire game so far. This mission is frusrating and pissing me off as it takes me over 20 tries, and I still haven’t completed the mission yet.

I don’t believe in using cheat codes for videogames ’cause cheat codes are for pussies, I like to play the real way.
