Afroman admits he feels horrible about what happened but still doesn’t apologize to the girl he punched…

It’s great to see that Afroman is admitting his mistakes and he’s feeling remorse. Still not good enough, though but this is a start. What about apologizing to the girl herself?

How would he apologize to her? Not on social networking. He should give her a phone call or arrange an in-person meeting with her. Then after that, he should give her free concert tickets and invite her backstage.

If he doesn’t do any of this, I smell a huge lawsuit coming from this girl and I hope she sues him. He just committed an act of domestic violence. I understand that fans invading the stage shouldn’t happen but there are better ways of handling things. What about stopping the performance and asking them to leave?

He should get some jail time, not professional help.

I was never a fan of Afroman’s music to begin with. He’s a one-hit wonder who’s only famous for his “Because I Got High” song.

Blur announces first new album in 12 years… will be titled, “The Magic Whip”…

Blur, who is a rock band from the UK just announced their first album in 12 years titled, “The Magic Whip”. Their last album they released was “Think Tank” which I have never heard yet.

While I am a fan of Blur, I only heard two of their albums. Their albums, “Parklife” and their 1997 self-titled album which includes their hit “Song 2”.

Blur is a pretty good band and looking forward to hearing what their next album is gonna sound like.

Afroman apologizes but doesn’t apologize to the girl he punched…

This story is getting kind of crazy. Afroman may have apologized but he didn’t apologize to the girl that he punched on stage. No mention of her at all. He just apologized for “his actions”. I repeat, “HIS”. He didn’t apologize to that female fan or his fans all-around.

Then he goes on TMZ, tells his side of the story. He claimed he thought the person he punch was that guy but you know it’s a lie.

http://www.tmz.com/2015/02/18/afroman-punching-female-fan-video-blames-heckler-tmz-live/

Watch that punching video again, he saw her. He took a good look at her before he swung at her. He’s lying all the way. This video here clearly shows that he saw her, he turned his head around.

I understand how bands & artists don’t want the fans onstage but reacting violently especially when the person is female is not the way to go. Hitting women is never cool.

On top of that, I think Afroman might be a racist, listen to his song “Palmdale” below. Read the lyrics.

You wanna talk about “Black lives matter” well, white lives matter too and so does that girl of who he punched. I’m sure Afroman will get no harsh punishment, though. He’ll escape jail time and will just get something small like a “fine” or something. If he doesn’t get jail, though, there’s still no stopping of the girl suing him, though. She can do that if she wants and don’t be surprised that she does sue him sometime in the future.

Thoughts on Afroman punching a female fan in the face on stage…

This story has been making the rounds of the internet today so I would post my own thoughts on this. Afroman getting arrested during a concert at a small club in Biloxi, Mississippi for punching a female fan in the face on stage.

Sure enough, Afroman’s lawyers tried to play the innocent victim in all of this by blaming lack of security at the concert.

http://www.metalinjection.net/around-the-interwebs/afroman-arrested-after-punching-a-woman-for-interrupting-his-solo

Yeah, I know that idiots out there are gonna blame the girl and say a bunch of bullshit that she shouldn’t have went up there to invade his space and all that crap ’cause that’s how “cliques” work.

In my opinion, it’s never cool for musicians go violent on their own fanbase.

At concerts, the artists or the bands usually allow fans to dance up on stage with them. Happens all of the time at small clubs and large venues. All bands & artists are different, ya know what I mean? Some bands & artists are appreciative of their fans dancing on stage with them and some are not.

To the bands & artists who don’t allow fans to dance on stage with them, I think it’s because their egos are just so huge that they think they are way more important than the fans. It’s like them saying, “I’m so important, they don’t deserve to dance with me”. That kind of thing.

This girl at the Afroman concert was completely harmless. She wasn’t violent toward Afroman. She didn’t hit him or try to kill him or anything, she just wanted to have a good time and she wanted to show his love for him like what all fans do to treat their favorite artists.

After that incident, I’m sure she’s heartbroken now, though. She’s probably gonna throw his CD’s in the trash and never go to a concert of his ever again — in other words, she’s gonna boycott his music probably.

All bands & artists are different with their fanbase. Some bands & artists are great with their fanbase and some are lousy with them. Turns out that Afroman is horrible with his fanbase. His lawyers will never admit it ’cause that’s what lawyers are paid to do. They’re paid to make their clients look good.

What Afroman did here was inappropriate and wrong. Violence is never the answer.

Say what you want about Miley but she was looking GREAT at SNL last night!

She’s looking pretty stunning, I must say! See? She kept her clothes on this time around, so give her a break you haters. If you’ve noticed on my blog over the years, I’ve never really talked negatively about Miley. I try not to, anyway. I never really had a problem with, Miley.

She was looking gorgeous last night and she was rocking that performance too. Her voice was good.

Queensryche “Empire”, I think is one of the best hard rock/metal albums of all time…

I got this album from Itunes ’cause it was $5.99 so I’m like, “Yeah, why not grab it?”; I listened to that album a couple of times already. It’s a killer album all the way through. I think it’s definitely one of the best guitar albums in the history of music. The songwriting on this album is excellent shit too. I think Todd La Torre is an amazing vocalist and The Whip and Parker are both great guitarists.

I’ve been wanting to get into Queensryche for a long time and I think it’s finally time to. I would like to get more of their music. I think the next albums I plan on getting of theirs is “Operation: Mindcrime I and II”. I’ll get ’em both. I should also get their 2013 self-titled album. I read somewhere that the band will be recording their new album this year and will be looking forward to that one.

I want to get into more metal and progressive music ’cause I really dig that stuff. I’ve always been a fan of heavy music. Metallica, Sabbath, Megadeth, Slayer, Maiden, Dream Theater, etc. I listen to all sorts of music but heavy music and hard rock makes me happy.

The great Eddie Van Halen speaks at the Smithsonian…

The Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C. held a special event there titled, “What It Means To Be An American” and they did a special sit down interview with Eddie Van Halen, the iconic guitarist himself.

I sat here and watched this whole 55 minute video and it was very entertaining. Eddie seems like a cool as hell guy, very humble and down to earth! Of course, the audience at this event was full of obsessive Van Halen fans.

Eddie talked about his life story as a musician. He talked about how he became a musician and how he became what he is. Eddie explained that he didn’t start playing guitar right away though. He explained that he got his start playing piano. Then he moved on to playing drums. When he found that he couldn’t play drums well and his brother Alex was of course, the better drummer than he was, that’s what inspired Eddie to switch to guitar.

This conversation is worth a listen. Eddie tells some very cool stories. Man, I wish I could sit in front of Eddie and listen to him talk. I could listen to this guy talk about music all day!

Of course, Eddie plays a little bit of guitar in this video so he can explain how he came up with the two-handed fret tapping he’s famous for. Yes, he does play a little bit of “Eruption” too!!! That EVH 5150 amp sounds fucking killer, WOAH!!! In that video, Eddie gets up to play at about 24:44 if you wanna see.

What I love about Eddie is that he takes guitar sound and tone pretty seriously. He’s an expert at guitar sound and this guy knows exactly what he wants.

I’m a long time Van Halen fan myself. Been listening to their music for years. Eddie is a guitar genius and he was one of the guitarists who inspired me to play myself.

Beck came a long way to where he is today…

10364030_10152808645368579_5243139489117056404_n

If you read Beck’s bio online, you would see that Beck came a long way to get where he is today. He didn’t get where he is today over night. Back when Beck was a nobody, he started out as a folk, country and blues musician. At the time, he couldn’t get gigs so he started performing Mississippi John Hurt covers on a city bus in Los Angeles. At that time, Beck was a real-life “Loser” which inspired him to write that smash radio hit for the “MellowGold” album. As a teen, Beck struggled to get a job and tried to get a place to live on his own but with little success he decided to move to New York City to become involved in the folk scene in the Manhatten area. When that didn’t work out, Beck moved back to Los Angeles. Beck got a job at a video store and started getting actual gigs booked at art clubs and coffeehouses. He later got signed to BMG music after he made a demo in a friends living room in L.A.

Later in the early 90’s, Beck signed with Geffen records to release the Mellow Gold album. While the album was a smash hit and made no. 13 on the Billboard Top 200, the album suffered a backlash from critics ’cause of it’s weird sound and controversial lyrics, remember that? In the beginning, Beck struggled in the music industry and tried very hard to become the successful artist that he is today.

After “Mellow Gold”, Beck finally got accepted in the music industry with his hit album “Odelay” which was his best selling album. Then he went on to make other albums such as “Mutations”, “Sea Change”, “Midnight Vultures”, etc. Beck never stayed in one genre of music. He always switched from rock, folk, blues, jazz, hip hop, dance, etc. If you listen to his album “Midnight Vultures”, most of that album is a disco and dance album.

Whether you like Beck or hate him, you still need to give him the respect and kudos after he went from playing Mississippi John Hurt songs on a bus to being a Grammy winner for “Album of the Year”. Beck produced most of his own albums, played most of his own instruments. Beck really did work hard to earn that Grammy.

I wonder how Beyonce got where she is today? Oh that’s right, she got manufactured by record labels by getting her start through the R&B and pop group, Destiny’s Child. Beyonce only made 5 solo albums in her career and Beck have been making albums longer than her. Beyonce also had roles in a bunch of movies. Most of Beyonce’s music is all samples and the same beat throughout the whole song. She needed a bunch of songwriters and producers to help make her the music and Beyonce is considered an icon in today’s industry? Seriously?

I really hate today’s industry. Today’s music industry is a joke all-around.

Beck is a real and true music artist. He’s one of the few “real” music artists left, anyways. I’m glad he finally got his recognition. The Grammy’s did make the right decision. I’m gonna grab the “Morning Phase” album from Itunes soon.

Beck has no negative grudge against Kanye… Beck says he has nothing but respect for him…

Taylor Swift may have been upset at Kanye interrupting her but did Beck get upset? No. Beck is actually pretty cool with it! As a matter of fact, Beck seems flattered that Kanye tried to go up to the mic.

Beck Kept It Classy Responding To Kanye Saying He Shouldn’t Have Won Album Of The Year

I understand Beck, though. I’d be flattered if I got interrupted by Kanye too.

I didn’t think Beck would win “Album of The Year”. I too kept thinking Beyonce was gonna win it no matter what.

So Beck said he aspires to be like Kanye. Well that’s no surprise. If you’ve listened to Beck’s music over the years like I have, you would hear that almost 80% of Beck’s music is rap/hip hop a little bit. Listen to his “Mellowgold” and “Odelay” albums for proof. Beck has always written a mix of folk, pop, rap & hip hop music over the years especially songs like “Beercan” in which you can hear in the video below.

I’m very happy for Beck for his surprising Grammy win! I’ve listened to his music for many years. I haven’t heard his new album “Morning Phase” yet but I’m gonna grab it from Itunes soon.

While most of last night’s Grammy’s were a joke there were actually two good things about last night’s show… Ac/Dc performing and Beck winning “Album of the Year”.

I do agree that Kanye is an arrogant and egotistical jackass but who cares. There are too many artists and musicians out there who are just as bad as he is.

I understand Kanye’s love for Beyonce but Beyonce used like 20 producers for her latest album while Beck produced, “Morning Phase” all by himself. Plus, Beck is a real musician who plays his own instruments and writes his own songs. He’s not a manufactured artist like Beyonce. So the Grammy’s made the right decision for once!
