BREAKING NEWS: Stallone confirms he won’t be directing “The Expendables” sequel!!!

There were a lot of rumors and speculation that Sly Stallone will go back to directing “The Expendables” sequel. Well the man himself, confirms he won’t be helming the flick. However, he will still reprise his leading role as Barney Ross for the sequel.

The plan for the next film is that they want Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger to play leading roles for the next one.

It is not known whether or not some of the other cast members will return, but Dolph Lundgren and Jason Statham still want to return to the film. Plus, I’m sure the next movie, will add a bunch more action movie stars.

Deadline, reports.

I still say that Sly’s director replacement should be Dolph Lundgren. I still stand by it.

Report: Walter Hill in negotations to direct Stallone’s next action movie, “Headshot”…

Walter Hill, the director of such movies as, “48 Hours/Another 48 Hours”, “Trespass”, “Undisputed”, etc. is in talks to direct Sylvester Stallone’s next action movie, “Headshot”. Director, Wayne Kramer, stepped out last week.

Stallone’s next action flick, “Headshot” will be about a New Orleans Hitman (which Sly will play), which he will team up with a young NYPD police officer in a high stakes investigation that leads in the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the powerful corridors of Washington, D.C.

Deadline, reports.

Yep, so this is Sly’s next film after, “The Expendables”. I wonder who’ll play the young police officer? They should get Mark Wahlberg or Ethan Hawke. If they get Shia Labeouf or Justin Timberlake, it’ll be a wait to DVD film for me.

Report: Sylvester Stallone to get his “Cobra” car back!!! Congrats Sly!!!

In the 1980’s, “Cobra” was filmed. It was that car that made the film great for what it was. “Cobra” was one of my favorite action films by Sly. It didn’t do well in the box office, but still was an excellent action movie. Marion Cobretti was a different character than Rambo. Cobretti was more psychotic and dangerous than Rambo, in my opinion.

Sly kept the car after the movie was made. In 1994, the car was stolen straight out of his garage. Sly didn’t know the whereabouts of that car until in 2009, the car finally resurfaced at an auction by this un-named company that provides “on-camera vehicles for movies”.

Sly filed a lawsuit at this company for stealing this car. The lawsuit was settled and this company agreed to give the car back to it’s rightful owner.

Read the report here, at TMZ.

Congratulations Sly!!! I can’t wait to see new pics of Sly reunited with the car! I bet Sly will keep the car locked up good to keep it away from thieves.

Now that he has the car back, is a “Cobra II” going to be in the works soon? Hopefully. I always liked that character and it will be great if Sly plans a sequel, using that same car.

Report: Sylvester Stallone to start his own men’s fashion business based on “Rocky” and “Rambo” characters…

Many people don’t know this, but other than being an actor, writer, director, & bodybuilder, Sylvester Stallone is also a business man. He was the one who helped start the “Planet Hollywood” restaurant with other movie stars. He started his own magazine in the 90’s for a while called, “SLY”, magazine. He also started the “Instone LLC” business which is a company that sells healthy supplemental products for bodybuilding/fitness. Not sure if he still has that in business or not.

Sly’s next business adventure, that he will start his own fashion clothing line for men. It will be mostly aimed for men around Sly’s age, but I’m sure people all ages could buy his stuff from there. Sly’s new clothing line will start next year in 2012. The clothing that the business will sell, will be based on the “Rocky” and “Rambo” movie characters. His goal with the company is that he wants men of his age to look like a “Rebel and a gentlemen”.

Report: Stallone will NOT write or direct the sequel to “The Expendables” but he will star…

Sylvester Stallone, have decided to pass the torch the writing and directing job to someone else for the sequel to, “The Expendables”, movie. The script have already been written and handed in. The script was written by, David Agosto and Ken Kaufman.

A director haven’t been hired yet, however, Stallone himself have been meeting with a list of directors and found one that could get the job, but was not authorized to speak about that director’s name publicly.

More on the story, here.

This is actually a good idea. The first, “Expendables” movie was pretty good, but it wasn’t Stallone’s best action movie. The story and the acting wasn’t that great, but the action scenes were of course, a blast to watch. The first “Expendables” movie needed a lot of improvements. Maybe Sly wants the next movie as an opportunity for it to be a much better film than the first.

Hopefully, the next film will give Bruce and Arnold a longer role. Probably will. Hopefully, Jean Claude Van Damme and Kurt Russell will star in the next one as well.

Who will take over Sly’s directing job? I would like Christopher Nolan to, but he’ll be too busy with the next “Superman” and “Batman” flicks for the next several years.

Other good choices would be: Kathryn Bigelow, Clint Eastwood, Robert Rodriguez, or he could re-team with Renny Harlin.

BREAKING NEWS: Sly is in the Boxing Hall of Fame! WOW!!!!!

Well I never saw this one coming!!! A Hollywood actor in the Boxing All of Fame? Is this for real? Yes it is, and the proof is right here! 🙂 Sly must be thrilled to be inducted in the same year as Mike Tyson! So you ask, how can a Hollywood actor be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame, when he’s not even a real life boxer but an actor? Well the answer is simple he contributed to a lot of it in boxing. He helped promote boxing and helped make it to what it is today. With the 6 Rocky films he has done and, “The Contender”, TV show he did, that’s good enough for being eligible to the Hall of Fame. This blog, here, does a good job explaining how Sly made it.

Some may wonder why Sly never became a real life professional fighter in his past, but instead he does it in the movies. I think the reason is, he once said over at “Aint It Cool News” during one of his Q&A’s, he admitted he wouldn’t be good at it for real, so he did it for the big screen instead. He does know some boxing obviously as he has been trained for it for the movies. So he knows a lot about it. Sly not a real life boxer? I would say, of course he is. Congratulations to Sly, and I’m just very happy for him, and it’s very well deserved! Whether you agree with it or not, Sly is a huge part of boxing and that’s why he got in! Seriously, I had a huge smile on my face when I heard this news! 🙂

Not a Cool Video: Damon T. Dana, detained by police after stalking Sly Stallone, again!!!

This was the same guy that was arrested for going to Sylvester Stallone’s home a while back. Here is he again at Cafe Roma, in Hollywood, actually meeting Sylvester Stallone in person this time. Although Sly accepts the meeting and was nice and polite to Damon, you can tell by the look of Sly’s face, he is a little scared and distracted. After doing a little research on who Damon T. Dana is, he is a guy from Germany who resides in Los Angeles, California. Damon claims to be a movie star and a professional boxer. Damon dreams of having a role in, “CSI: Miami” and now he wants in, “Expendables 2”. Check out his youtube channel, here. He also has a facebook. He is pretty obsessed with Sly.

As you can see, Damon is another one of those delusional whack jobs who thinks they are famous in their own minds.

Nothing wrong with achieving your career dreams, but stalking celebrity actors like Sly isn’t the way to go. Here is a message to Damon, leave Sly alone.

Read more on the story, here.

It’s great to see, Jean Claude have a change of heart with Sly and “The Expendables”. Trust us, Jean Claude, it’ll be a great opportunity for you. It will make you an action star again!

Report: Sly Stallone teasing plans on doing a film about MMA/UFC???

Sylvester Stallone took to his twitter, teasing a new project that he is planning on doing a movie about MMA/UFC caged fighting. As you can see, Sly tweeted:

“The New Rocky… Update it with a young man with modern problems ,but he would not be called Rocky, just the philosophy would be used.”

“I would not be in it… It is an modern extension of the heart and philosophy . MMA too.”

“Yet a great MMA film should be done at once … Love must be the central theme like my buddy Rocky experienced. Pleasure/pain= LIFE”

Hmmmm, so what Sly is saying is that he is planning an MMA/UFC film that would be more like Rocky? I like the idea, a lot! As long as it won’t star Channing Tatum as the leading role, we don’t need another version of that aweful movie, “Fighting”.

It won’t surprise me that Sly will be eyeing, Randy Couture, as the leading role for this flick. Maybe Brock Lesnar would get a small role for it, as an opponent. I’m sure Dana White would get a cameo. There’s been fictional movies based on all sports but not many on caged fighting. If this will be Sly’s next movie after “The Expendables”, I’m all for it. The MMA/UFC community deserves their own film and it needs to be done by Sly. A Rocky styled MMA movie is a creative idea!
