Planning to watch the Oscars this Sunday for the first time in 3 years… just to see if “Joker” will win Best Picture and see if Tom Hanks will win his 3rd Oscar…

Yeah, I’m planning to watch the Oscars this Sunday for a few reasons. 1) I want to see if “Joker” is gonna win for Best Picture 2) See if Tom Hanks is gonna win his third Oscar for his Mr. Rogers movie.

I’ve taken a long break from watching the Oscars. It may have seem like I haven’t watched it in many years but technically, I’ve noticed I haven’t watched it in 3 years. The last time I watched the Oscars was when “Spotlight” w/ Michael Keaton won Best Picture. I stopped watching after that due to all the politics going on and stuff, ya know?

I am gonna watch this year, though. There are some good nominations this year, that’s another reason it got me interested in the Oscars again.

Is this movie “Parasite” worthy of all these nominations? Is it Best Picture worthy? I’m not sure. I haven’t seen “Parasite” yet but I’m planning to watch it this weekend since I bought it on BluRay this week.

I saw “Joker” finally, though and fucking LOVED IT. I really hope “Joker” wins “Best Picture” and there’s a good chance it will.

I’ve watched the Oscars throughout most of my life… since my high school years pretty much. Took a few year break ’cause of their left-wing politics. I’m sure there are going to be some politics this year but I’m gonna do my best to ignore it all. I probably will end up watching the whole show.

Oscars gonna be interesting this year. I hope “Joker” wins it but it’ll probably end up going to “Parasite”. Never though, neither “Joker” or “Parasite” would get Best Picture and it can end up going to something else. “Little Women” might win it, though, I wouldn’t be surprised. If lucky enough “The Irishman” or “Marriage Story” could end up being the first Netflix Best Picture winner. We’ll see this weekend.

Bringing Adam Levine into this J-Lo and Shakira debate is silly and stupid, now here’s a rant about it…

This post might be kind of controversial and might upset a few but I don’t give a flyin’ two shits. It’s my blog so I post whatever I want.

Yes, I did watch the Superbowl Halftime performance with J-Lo and Shakira… was the performance inappropriate like everyone is saying? Yes, it absolutely was and here’s why… the NFL Superbowl games is something for the whole family to watch so that means people of all ages will be watching the game and that includes children. I find it a huge mistake of the NFL booking all these female pop-stars ’cause you can betcha there will be a plenty of booty shaking and twerking all over… stripper pole dancing, inappropriate dance moves with the other dancers such as “grinding” and all that stuff. Well, you get the deal… we’ve seen all that with female pop stars over the years… w/ Janet, Katy Perry, etc.

This isn’t something we should be watching on family TV at all. Sure, nothing wrong with women dressing sexy and doing all kinds of dirty dancing on stage but leave that for the strip clubs. We don’t need to see that on a family friendly sporting event. Not only that children will be watching, there will also be plenty of older people ages 50 or older who don’t need to be seeing all that.

Yeah, Shakira and J-Lo showed a bit too much skin and their asses were hanging out a bit but at least they had their breasts covered, I’ll give them that.

Since the day after the Superbowl, all I’m seeing now is leftist-women defending the Superbowl performance… saying all kinds of bullshit like Shakira and J-Lo are courageous for dressing sexy over 40 and calling them “courageous”. Leftist women in social media are trying all they can to defend that performance and I laughed when they brought Adam Levine into it. That’s the best defense they can come up with? Their complaint was that Adam Levine took off his shirt and performed shirtless yet there is no outrage.

Hmmmmm… why was there no outrage when Adam Levine performed shirtless when Maroon 5 played the Superbowl? Well, it’s completely normal and completely legal for men to go shirtless in public. A man’s chest is not a private part… a woman’s chest is. So there is nothing wrong with Adam performing with no shirt. It was pretty normal. I thought it was silly that Adam Levine was brought into this when it’s completely unfair and wrong… I look at it as feminist women just showing their hatred for men and nothing more.

These are the same women that tell men to stop objectifying women… yep, the same women that tell men to stop treating them like objects.. because of feminism we can’t say how hot a woman is anymore and we can no longer flirt with them or else we’ll get yelled at by them or worse get slapped with a sexual harassment charge… thanks to all this “me too” stuff going on… trying to destroy everything about the “man”.

Yet these leftist women are defending these pop stars looking like strippers.

Yup, these leftist woman are such “champions” for women and don’t want them to be treated like objects but the pop music industry objectifies women all the time. It’s all over the industry. It’s not just in music. Objectifying women is all over the movies, the porn industry and everywhere else you look at.

These are the same women that begs for equal pay and thinks abortion is health care.

I have no problem with leftist women enjoying that performance… that’s their prerogative but when they brought Adam Levine into this that’s what bothered me and now I feel like I have to rant about it.

Yeah they are such champions for women… yell at men to stop objectifying them, yet they have no problem with the NFL objectifying Shakira and J-Lo. Hmmmm… something wrong with that picture here.

Yes, I did watch the Superbowl last night and it was great… most exciting Superbowl game in a long long time…

I stopped watching the Superbowl for a few years since all that kneeling to the National Anthem was going on in the NFL. Now that the NFL seems to have put a stop to all that kneeling completely it looks like, I thought I would give them a chance.

I ended up watching the game last night. Watched the whole thing from start to finish… watched all the commercials too and yes watched the Superbowl Halftime show with Shakira & J-Lo.

As far as the game itself goes the 49’ers vs. The Chiefs, it really was a pretty thrilling game like everyone was saying. It definitely was one of the most exciting Superbowl games in a long long time. I never was much of a fan of the NFL in the past but watching that game last night made me respect the NFL again just a little more and I might watch more NFL next year. Both teams the 49’ers vs. The Chiefs, made sure the game wasn’t going to be boring at all. Both teams played really hard yesterday evening and both teams were on fire. Both teams really showed that they really were in it to “win it” and did whatever it took to win it.

Every Superbowl game is not always gonna be great, some are gonna be great, some are gonna be okay and some are gonna be bad. Well last night’s game is gonna go down in the history books for sure. I knew it was going to be a very close game and you never knew who was going to win that one. In the beginning, I thought for sure that the 49’ers were going to win but the Chiefs caught up toward the end and destroyed them bad. That was a shocker really. The game was really good and just made me appreciate football a little more. Glad I watched it ’cause if it turned out to be a boring as hell game, I probably would have walked away from the TV to do something else instead but since the game ended up turning out so exciting, I watched it from start to finish.

Who was I rooting for? I didn’t care really. I thought both teams did a great job. I was happy for both of them so I’m not on one side at all.

As far as the commercials go, there were some pretty cool movie trailers like Fast 9, Top Gun: Maverick and Black Widow… which I look forward to seeing all three of them.

As far as my thoughts on the Superbowl Halftime performance with J-Lo and Shakira, the only thing that I liked about it was that I liked that Shakira honored Led Zeppelin by having the violins play the Kashmir riff. I caught that and thought it was cool. Other than that, though, it was the worst Superbowl halftime performance I’ve ever seen. Guess I’m not into that type of music much.

I do agree with what everyone is saying about that performance being too inappropriate for the NFL… ya know, all the booty shaking, the pole dancing, the twerking and them looking like strippers. I’ll have another post about this soon. It’s gonna be rant and gotta get it out of me.

Other than that, it was a great Superbowl game for the most part.

Thoughts on the Oscar nominations for 2020… looks good this year… will I watch? Thinking about it…

Well the Oscar nominations came out for this year and they look surprisingly good. I haven’t watched the Oscars in like several years or more for a few reasons: 1) Hollywood won’t stop getting political 2) The nominations has been shit lately. This year the nominations are looking pretty decent, in my opinion.

The “Joker” movie scored the most nominations and it actually scored a “Best Picture” nomination which is really surprising. The Oscars has never been too friendly with comic book films and violent films so for the Oscars to be all over “Joker” is kind of weird. It’s cool, though. I haven’t seen “Joker” yet but I bought the BluRay for the “Joker” movie last week and I will get to that film sometime this week. I’ll watch it tomorrow night probably.

Anyhow, the other Best Picture nominations for this year looks good… only ones I’ve seen out of the Best Pictures are “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood”, “Marriage Story” and “The Irishman”.

I just watched “Marriage Story” on Netflix last night and it was alright. Not actually the best movie of 2019 like everyone was buzzing about but it was pretty good. Nothing I’ll watch over and over but I thought the best part about “Marriage Story” was Adam Driver’s performance which he actually got nominated for that role. I would like for Adam to win an Oscar for that role but Joaquin Phoenix is probably gonna get the Best Male Lead for “Joker”.

I’m happy that Tom Hanks got nominated for his Mr. Rogers, “It’s a Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood” movie. It does look like Tom Hanks maybe winning his 3rd Oscar ’cause that was a really good performance. I saw the Mr. Rogers movie in theater and LOVED IT.

I’m glad “The Irishman” got some nominations ’cause that was a fucking awesome movie. Loved that one and I’m happy for Quentin Tarantino that he’s in the Oscars spotlight again. “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” was great too and I predict Quentin might win for Best Original Screenplay for that one.

Was there any snubs for this year’s Oscars that I was disappointed in? Well the only snub I can think of was that Adam Sandler was snubbed for his role in “Uncut Gems”. I saw “Uncut Gems” last week as well… it was a pretty good film but Adam Sandler’s role in that film was the best part about it. I think it’s a shame Sandler got ignored and that was one of his best performances.

I’ve noticed “The Lighthouse” movie with Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe didn’t get too much nominations hardly at all. I’m gonna get to “The Lighthouse” movie this week ’cause I rented it through Google Play so looking forward to that one. I heard “The Lighthouse” is real good and getting a lot of award buzz but it seems it has gotten ignored by the Academy pretty much. “The Lighthouse” movie only got nominated for Best Cinematography category which kind of sucks. I do want to see that film and been wanting to see it for a while. Looks good.

Other than that, the Oscars looks good this time and I might actually watch this one. Yeah, there’s probably gonna be a lot of politics and Trump bashing but I’ll do my best to ignore all that. I’m just curious to see what’s gonna win Best Picture, Best Leading Male actor and Best Supporting Male Actor. I want Tom Hanks to win for the Mr. Rogers role and I really think he’s gonna get it. Joaquin Phoenix is probably gonna win for “Joker” and I wanna see him win that one too.

I haven’t seen “Joker” yet but gonna get around to it tomorrow night. I know “Joker” is the most talked about movie of the year and I’ve never gotten around to seeing it in theater so I bought it on BluRay.

Will “Joker” end up being the first comic book movie to win a “Best Picture” award? I don’t know but it will be amazing so we’ll see. Cross our fingers for now.

Finally, leftist Hollywood gets the ultimate verbal ass-kicking that they needed for years… thank you Ricky Gervais!!!!

I didn’t watch the Golden Globes last night but Ricky Gervais made me wished I did. For the past decade or more leftist Hollywood has been using award shows as a political platform where they can ram their leftist opinions down everyone’s throats. It has gotten much worse under Trump as president. Finally, like the title says, Ricky Gervais gives leftist Hollywood the ultimate verbal ass-kicking that they needed for years and they deserved it really.

Yeah, some of you would say Ricky wasn’t being serious ’cause he’s a “comedian” and all but yes, he was being serious. Ricky is just as frustrated as the rest of us. We don’t want Hollywood using award shows for politics.

Hollywood like to claim they are “woke” but they aren’t at all. They are just brainwashed by the media, I think. Not only that Ricky called Hollywood out on their leftist political problem, he also called out the Hollywood pedophile problem which was ballsy.

I’ve been a fan of Ricky Gervais for a long time and I’m now an even more fan of him. I know Ricky is kind of a “leftist” guy himself but I think it’s pretty clear he’s getting red-pilled. Ricky’s waking up of what’s really going on in the real world if you’ve been paying attention to his twitter.

Of course, people are calling Ricky “controversial” ’cause of this. It’s not controversial at all… Ricky is just being a grown up and being completely “sane”. I think he’s definitely grown out of the Democrat plantation and it’s a start really.

I didn’t watch the whole monologue yet but gonna get around to it but what Ricky did was glorious. I’m tired of leftist Hollywood ramming their opinions and views down our throats. None of us think like they do and we don’t have to.

This is what a real comedian looks like, y’all. Bashing President Trump isn’t comedy… sorry but it isn’t.

Celebrities really don’t know anything about the real world just like most liberals in America don’t. Really sad thanks to the leftist media.

Just starting Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” and the show is getting real good… Negan best thing to happen on the show? YES, I would say!!!

Man, I’m so glad that I’ve gotten back into watching “The Walking Dead” after bailing on the show after Season 3. Now I wished I never bailed. The show is really great. Probably the best show on cable TV right now.

I’ve gotten back into the show ’cause this character Negan has been catching a lot of internet buzz lately and that’s what drew me back into the show. I’ve gotten so much to catch upon with the “Walking Dead” so I decided to start from the very beginning from Season 1 and make my way all the way up to Season 9 on Netflix. Season 10 isn’t on Netflix yet since it’s currently airing on cable TV still.

I’ve just started “Season 7” this week and this Negan character is just starting to appear. Even though I’ve only seen two episodes with this Negan character in it, I’m already loving the character and now I can see why this character sparked a lot of internet buzz. Why? It’s because the actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the character so fucking well. Yup, Jeffrey Dean plays the character so amazingly well that I think it’s award worthy for sure. No wonder this character has gotten popular so fast! Even though Negan is a villain, he is entertaining as hell and actually very like-able!

I think the stuff with The Governor was really good as I thought David Morrisey did a good job playing him but I think Negan is the best villain of the show. Toward the end of Season 6 and the start of Season 7, the show “Walking Dead” will start to get very dark and really intense. It’s really insane stuff.

I’ve stopped buying the “Walking Dead” books but I’m gonna have to get back into those too.

My question is how much longer the “Walking Dead” show is gonna go on for AMC? I learned that Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes finally quit the show after all these years. I think it could go on for a few more seasons, either that or 10 might be the final one, not sure.

The show is real great, though. Negan is the best thing to happen on it… did Jeffrey Dean win an award for that role yet? If not, he really should ’cause that’s an award worthy performance. Man, that’s some damn good acting.

I’m gonna have to take a break from watching “The Walking Dead” for a little while ’cause I have other things to watch this weekend ’cause I’m gonna start “Game of Thrones – Season 8” tonight and I’m planning on starting “The Witcher” on Netflix at some point.

Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren team up for TV show that could go to Netflix/Apple, Dolph will star in the show but Sly will not…

Deadline reported that Sly Stallone and Dolph Lundgren will team up for an upcoming action drama show that could go to Netlfix and Apple. Not confirmed yet but Netflix and Apple badly wants the show.

Dolph will star in the leading role but Sly will not star at all. Sly is just going to serve as executive producer and he might even direct the show himself. The show was pitched to FOX, CBS, Netflix and Apple and it looks like they all want it.

Dolph will play a covert operative at the Department of Safety and Security at the UN. He is like a secret agent, a one man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator. The show doesn’t have a title as of this moment.

Dolph Lundgren-Sylvester Stallone Action Drama Series Heats Up TV Marketplace

I’m hoping this show goes to Netflix ’cause it sounds awesome. I’m sure it’s gonna be a pretty violent show too. There will be tons of fist fighting, gun shooting and lots of explosions I’m sure.

It may not seem like it but Dolph has a lot of action movie experience. Dolph did mostly action movies in his career, anyways. Most of his movies were straight to video action films so I know Dolph plays the tough guy role very well.

I find it interesting how Sly wants to experiment with TV now. Sly wants to make the Rocky prequel TV show so that will probably come soon. Maybe this is paving the way for that?

I think Dolph is a good actor so I’m definitely gonna to be looking forward to this one. Man, I hope this show goes to Netflix exclusive and there’s a pretty good chance it will.

“Stranger Things” is the best original show on Netflix… I’ll be watching it until it ends for good…

So last night I finished “Stranger Things 3”. Even though it was kind of a short season this year, I was still blown away and impressed by it. This show is a well-written show and very well-acted by the entire cast too. Oh my god, the show is so fucking good. It’s also directed and filmed pretty well too.

Part of the reason I love this show so much is that I love how this show blends science fiction and horror together. The stories of those creatures and those kids is way cool. Some of you may ask me, who are my favorite characters of the show? Well Eleven, of course, who is played by the great young actress Millie Bobby Brown. That character is so badass and so entertaining as hell. I also like Winona Ryder’s character who plays Joyce and she is the mother of characters Will and Jonathan. I also like Dustin and Billy Hargrove.

Another reason I like this show so much is like everyone else, it reminds me of so much like the late 80’s and early 90’s which the show is taken place at during those years. That was back in the days when there was no internet, no cell phones, back when shopping malls were a thing, we had to use pay phones, no such thing as flat screen TVs back then and those were the days when kids actually had to go outside and do things. I know this ’cause I lived my childhood through those years too.

Anyhow, “Stranger Things 3” was a really mind blowing season. It was great all the way through. Excellent storytelling, I can see why it’s the most popular show on Netflix and I’m finally getting into the show so now I’m all caught up.

Now I’m all caught up with “Stranger Things”, I’m going to have to pick a different show to watch on there. I’m thinking of starting “Designated Survivor” with Kiefer Sutherland ’cause I’m hearing great things about that show and I’m probably gonna start it next week.

I’m back on Netflix ’cause I wanted to be back in time before “The Dark Crystal” show gets on there ’cause I love the Dark Crystal and can’t wait for that show too. I also went back on Netflix for other shows that I wanted to watch on there too.

Kev

I don’t think “Game of Thrones” is over for good… it could get turned into a film series… don’t worry fans…

I didn’t watch the final season of Game of Thrones since I don’t have HBO. I wish I could watch it on TV like everyone else but since I can’t afford HBO, I just buy all the seasons on DVD/BluRay. I do have all 7 seasons on DVD/BluRay. I have the first 6 seasons on DVD and season 7 on BluRay but I will get the final season which is Season 8 on BluRay when it comes out for sure.

Anyhow, I’m not upset that the show “Game of Thrones” has ended on TV. That’s on TV but for the big screen? Over the years there have always been talks of a big screen “Game of Thrones” movie so don’t rule that out yet, folks. Sure, George R.R. Martin didn’t finish the sixth book “The Winds of Winter” yet so HBO didn’t make it in time to adapt “The Winds of Winter” book into the show. I’m thinking though that “The Winds of Winter” which is book six could get made into a big screen movie for Hollywood.

Over thee years, there were other hit TV shows that got made into big screen movies especially shows like “Star Trek”, “Sex In the City”, “Mission Impossible”, “The Addams Family”, “The A-Team”, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “The Muppets”, “The X-Files” and the list goes on.

Could the same happen for “Game of Thrones”??? Yes, absolutely. I haven’t seen the final episode of “GOT” yet but I’m sure the ending left open for more in the future. The “Game of Thrones” movie may not happen right away ’cause I hear the writers for “Game of Thrones” will be writing their Star Wars trilogy next so a “Game of Thrones” movie may take a while. I can see the cast and crew of “Game of Thrones” reuniting for a big screen movie years from now. We’ll have to wait until George finishes book 6 and then maybe they’ll make it into a movie. That’s probably what’s gonna happen.

I do love “Game of Thrones”, though. Always did. I’ve been with them since the beginning and still a loyal fan now. I didn’t watch the final season yet so I will wait for the BluRay release which could come out later this year hopefully.

Kev

Finished watching “Black Mirror” on Netflix over the weekend… most of it was real good but I didn’t love every episode, though…

I know I’m late getting into the show but I finally watched “Black Mirror” on Netflix. Finished watching it over the weekend. Since everybody’s been talking about the show, I thought I would finally get into it to see what the fuss is all about. “Black Mirror” is a UK science fiction TV show exclusively for Netflix. You don’t have to watch every episode in order ’cause each episode has its own story kind of like “The Twilight Zone” or “Amazing Stories” a little bit.

From what I saw, this show isn’t just a science fiction show. This show included every genre out there: drama, mystery, suspense, horror, thriller, romance, etc. Every genre is pretty much in there.

Throughout the show while there are no big name stars in the cast there were a few big names that made special guest appearances. The biggest names I’ve seen who appeared in the show were: Jesse Plemons, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Hamm and Daniel Kaluuya (the star of the “Get Out” movie).

Even though the show is very popular and a lot of people loved it; however, I didn’t love every episode. There were some I thought were pretty good and okay but there were also some that were my absolute favorite. Here’s a list of bad and good episodes of the show:

Episodes that I hated: “Nosedive”, “San Junipero” and “The National Anthem”

Episodes that were my absolute favorite: “Metaldhead”, “Arkangel, “Crocodile”, “Black Museum”, “Playtest”, “White Christmas” (the one that Jon Hamm appeared in) and “Men Against Fire”.

Even though I didn’t like three episodes, I thought it was a great show for the most part. I’m gonna check out the “Bandersnatch” movie later this week.

I’m glad to finally get around to watching “Black Mirror”. I think next I’m gonna start watching “Stranger Things” ’cause I’ve never seen that show before either.
