Report: CBS axed “Secret Talents of the Stars” after one episode…

Did Captain Sulu’s bad singing kill “Secret Talents of the Stars” that was aired on CBS just last Tuesday?

CBS cancelled the show just after one episode.

The show was pretty much crap anyways. The only great thing about it was the Clint Black standup comedy, at least he got the opportunity to do that on TV and to be judged by the “Singing In the Rain” lady Debbie Reynolds.

That one episode will give Clint Black better opportunities for stand up. I hope Clint continues with it.

Cool Video: Clint Black was hilarious LOL!, Captain Sulu sucked at singing…

So I watched the premiere of “Secret Talents of the Stars” last night. I was impressed with Clint Black’s stand up comedy, he was hilarious and he did a great job. Clint got a great response from the judges too and even said Clint will have a huge future in stand up comedy. Clint said he was a humorous guy and always about making people laugh, as I’m sure Clint Black does tell jokes at his country concerts in between songs.

Star Trek’s George Takei who played Captain Sulu had a talent in singing country songs that people were hyping up about, but I tell you, George was horrible. He sang like shit and he looked laughable on stage.

Enjoy these videos from last night’s show on “Secret Talents of the Stars”.

Clint Black’s hilarious stand up performance, seriously, he did great and he did get me laughing!

Thought: Friday Night Lights Season 3 wishlist…

For the fans of this TV show, here are some things that I would like to see happen in FNL season 3.

-Tim Riggins to actually hook up romantically with Lyla and getting off the alcohol.

-“Smash” Williams gets into pro football

-Landry Clarke proposes to Tyra

-Matt’s Mexican girlfriend, Carlotta to come back

-Jason Street desperately tries to walk again and never gives up (he was paralized in a football injury in the beginning of the first season)

-Julie and her mother Tami Taylor to get along (they were fighting and arguing most of Season 2, was getting old…)

-Coach Eric Taylor to never change his temper to a nice guy. I like Coach being the jerk and having a short temper. It what makes the show interesting when Coach starts yelling and screaming at people especially at characters like Tim Riggins and Smash.

Can’t wait for Season 3!!!!

Report: Clint Black eyeing to become a comedian…

Country music star and icon, Clint Black is getting more interested in comedy and is very interested in becoming a stand up comedian. Clint Black is set to perform stand up comedy for the CBS TV series, “Secret Talents of the Stars” tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Clint has already been practising stand up comedy at small comedy clubs in Los Angeles and Nashville. The TV show “Secret Talents of the Stars” is a show where celebrities can perform talents that people don’t know about.

From Country Weekly:

In other Clint Black news, he just released a new internet album available for via-internet only titled “The Long Cool EP”… check http://www.clintblack.com/ for more info.

I’m a big Clint Black fan, I have several of his albums in my CD collection and I’m curious on how he’s going to do standup comedy so I will definitely watch this tomorrow night. Clint is the man. Talented musician and talented songwriter.

I’m not into country music much, but I do enjoy some of it. I listen to the genre because I grew up in a small town of Greenwich where the town is obsessed with country music. I don’t like every country artist I listen to only certain ones that impact me. Clint writes amazing songs.

Thought: My honest thoughts on UFC, why I don’t watch it much…

I’m not much of a UFC fan honestly. I just can’t see guys in a ring trying to kill each other for real. It’s too crazy and too intense for my tastes. It’s why I don’t watch UFC TV or the PPV’s much anymore. UFC is not wrestling. Even UFC never call it wrestling, they call ’em “fights”. One of these days in the future, a fighter in UFC is gonna get himself killed instantly in the ring. If there were to be the most dangerous sport, it would not be football or hockey, it would be UFC in my opinion.

A fighter named Joe Lauzon knocking out his opponent really quick is just proof how dangerous it really is.

Sorry, but I prefer just regular Pro Wrestling over UFC, you know pro wrestling with the likes of WWE, TNA, etc. The wrestling with the fake fighting, impressive stunts, and storylines where you can be entertained.

I don’t really find UFC entertaining.

Nothing wrong with other people enjoying guys killing each other in UFC for real but to me it’s pretty boring with all the kicking and punching which is pretty much all they do.

I’ll have to tune into this to see what song they’re gonna do. It wouldn’t surprise me if it would be “Plush” or “Big Empty” so they can let the world know that the band is back.

Report: Chris Cornell speaks on Idol’s David Cook for “Billie Jean” cover…

Chris Cornell the former frontman for Soundgarden/Temple of the Dog/Audioslave recently saw David Cook’s performance of the Chris Cornell version of “Billie Jean”, a Michael Jackson cover on American Idol. Cornell says he was actually impressed with David’s singing and flattered that Cornell got the shout out on Idol. Cornell says that Cook sang the song almost note for note, sang it exactly the same way Cornell sang it. (see the videos below for proof). Cornell goes on saying that he is so proud of his version and wanted to know that he did it first.

Billboard reports:

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003782902

I don’t know what Chris Cornell is smokin’, but David Cook’s voice sound nothing like Cornell’s, not even close. I totally agree that Cook sang it “great”, but no where near Cornell’s range.

Cornell should appreciate to what Cook did for him rather than putting him down, Cornell is acting like his version is better.

I dont’ watch Idol anymore but I’ll have to start watching again, I stopped watching a few years ago. I’ve been hearing that Idol has been using live bands and using real instruments more than the “karaoke” thing, which is cool.
