Report: Clive Davis says Whitney Houston is ready for huge musical comeback…

It’s been a while since you’ve seen a new album by legendary pop diva, Whitney Houston, right? Well, the wait is just about over, ’cause Clive Davis says Whitney Houston is ready to head back into the recording studio again after a long hiatus from the music business.

Whitney is set to perform at the Grammy’s this Sunday night.

Rollingstone reports:

I was never a big Whitney Houston fan, never bought her records, but I did grew up listening to her though, she is inspiring. She’s a hit maker and her songs stick to your head.

Hopefully Whitney will stay true to her music and style as she did in the past, in other words, old school Whitney. I usually don’t watch the Grammy’s but I think I’m going to watch it tomorrow night, just for something to watch on TV on a boring Sunday night.

RANT: In defense of Axl Rose’s comment about Slash, read up…

I want to defend Axl Rose’s comment he made about Slash in the Billboard interview, here quoted from the interview:

Axl on reuniting with Guns n’ Roses member Slash:

“In regards to Slash, I read a desperate fan’s message about, what if one of us were to die and looking back I had the possibility of a reunion now, blah blah blah. And my thoughts are, “Yeah, and while you’re at the show your baby accidentally kicks a candle and burns your house down, killing himself and the rest of your family.”

Give me a fucking break. What’s clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man.

There are acts that, once committed between individuals, they are what they are. To add insult to injury almost day after day, lapsing into year after year, for more than a decade, is a nightmare. Anyone putting his own personal entertainment above everything else is sickening.”

From Billboard:

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/specials/axl-speaks/interview05.shtml

Music fans and the press are seeing Axl’s comment there a bash at Slash. The way I read it, I don’t see it as a “bash” at all. I don’t see Axl saying anything negative about Slash.

Those who see it as a bash are taking it out of context.

What Axl is really telling you is that, he is giving you a clear sign that a reunion with Slash or Guns N’ Roses will never happen. Axl has no negative grudge at Slash, Axl is telling things the way they are, with honesty. What he means by when he says that, “one of the two, Slash or Axl, will die before a reunion happens”…he is saying that, a Guns N’ Roses reunion would happen after they grow old and die. Meaning that neither plan to reunite at all, Axl is clearly saying that a Guns N’ Roses reunion would still happen when they aren’t around.

For example, The Grateful Dead still continued without Jerry Garcia, The Doors continued on without Jim Morrison, etc.

Slash is committed with the Velvet Revolver, Axl knows that, that’s why he says Slash has no plans in rejoining Gn’R. Axl is committed with the new Guns N’ Roses. When Axl says, “Anyone putting his own personal entertainment above everything else is sickening.”, what he’s saying there is that he doesn’t want people putting Slash’s entertainment above everything else that is not music. The point he’s trying to make that Guns N’ Roses is not always about Slash. He’s disgusted about how people are obsessed about Slash playing with Gn’R when Gn’R could be for any musician. I think that’s what he means, if I’m wrong, correct me.

Axl is not bashing Slash.

Report: McG speaks on the Christian Bale tirade at NY Comic Con!!!

At the NY Comic Con, McG, the director of “Terminator: Salvation” did a Q&A session with Terminator fans at the convention. Of course, he was asked about the Christian Bale controversy.

McG explains the incident was taking out of context, he also says that entire film crew were fired up, not just Christian. They were all angry, pissed off, and stressed out after long hours of work.

That’s the name of the game in film making folks. At the end of the discussion, McG, heard the Christian Bale remixes in youtube and said they were pretty hot, with a crowd cheer after.

More on it here:

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20257665,00.html

In my opinion, Christian didn’t need to apologize publicily. I think he only did it ’cause he was nervous that his tirade were going to turn off “Terminator” fans and he was worried that the film would flop because of the tirade. Trust me, with this being a “Terminator” film, everyone will see it anyway ’cause it’s Terminator. So Christian don’t have anything to worry about the film bombing ’cause of his temper.

We all have tempers. Everyone has ’em once in a while. Even I do sometimes. That’s how this world works. There are assholes everywhere in this society. So please people, get over Christian’s tirade ’cause there are more important things in life to worry about.

Universal Pictures has dumped Steven Spielberg’s film production company, “Dreamworks”, and Steven maybe making the move to Walt Disney studios. Spielberg’s “Dreamworks” is close to inking a deal to partner with “Walt Disney”.

Variety reports:

Does this mean that Spielberg’s next movie he’s making with Will Smith, “Old Boy”, will be released under, Walt Disney? Wouldn’t surprise me.

The hell with the “Raw vs. Smackdown 2009” videogame, I think I’ll get “Legends of Wrestlemania” instead!!!

For a long time now, I’ve always thought about buying the wrestling game “RAW vs. Smackdown for 2009”, but fuck that, I think I’m going to get “Legends of Wrestlemania” instead ’cause in “Legends of Wrestlemania” you get to play all the legends of WWE who wrestled at Wrestlemania over the years. This game is part of the Wrestlemania 25th Anniversary type of thing.

Here are the list of legends that will be in the game:

  • Hulk Hogan
  • Andre the Giant w/ Bobby the Brain Heenan as manager
  • The Iron Sheik
  • Brutus the Barber Beefcake
  • Big John Studd
  • The Junkyard Dog
  • Shawn Michaels HBK
  • Bam Bam Bigelow
  • Sgt. Slaughter
  • “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes
  • Ultimate Warrior
  • Rowdy Roddy Piper
  • Bret “The Hitman” Hart
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin
  • The Rock
  • “Macho Man” Randy Savage
  • Ric Flair
  • and much much much more.

You pretty much get the deal, all the legends will be in the game. “Legends of Wrestlemania” is due out in stores March 24th of this year. This is a game I definitely plan on picking up.

I grew up watching the old days of wrestling when I was a child and this game will bring back memories to that stuff.

I’m definitely looking forward to this one!

Report: Satriani lawyers to pay Coldplay a visit at the Grammy’s, I am losing more respect to Joe Satriani everytime, COME ON GUYS, keep this war in the court room!!!

Joe Satriani is taking the high road of his music career and proving the douchebag he really is. I used to respect the Satch as a virtuoso guitar hero, but he’s nothing more of a big ego like the rest of ’em.

Satriani’s lawyer, Howard King, plans on going to the Grammy’s this Sunday to follow wherever Chris Martin and the guys in Coldplay goes at the award show. They hope Coldplay gets the win for “Viva La Vida” which is nominated for a “Record of the Year” award.

More on it here:

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/02/06/joe-satriani-sarcastically-roots-for-coldplay-at-grammys/

Come on guys. Keep this battle in the court room, that’s where it should be. Satriani is really now turning out to be a whiny little prick.

I explained before in a post that Coldplay and Joe Satriani’s songs sound nothing like each other. And it’s not a copyright infrigement if the chord progressions and keys are different. Melodies maybe a little similar true, but in music, there are many songs that sound like each other at some point.

I still feel that Chris Martin will kick Joe’s ass in this battle and Coldplay will prove their innocence. So far, Joe did NOT prove how Coldplay ripped him off in the song. Joe needs to show the court room proof. I don’t think he has any.

Coldplay should do the smart thing and not show up at the Grammy’s at all if Satch is going to have his shady lawyer confront them in person the whole night.

Come on Satch, this is very low of you, man. I used to respect Satch, as a guitarist that I’ve looked after for a long time and losing my patience with him.

Report: Another reason to give the Boss respect…Ticketmaster…

It’s official. Bruce hates Ticketmaster like we all do! Thank you, thank you, thank you Bruce, for sticking up for music fans and busting on Ticketmaster!

Even though Ticketmaster stopped the redirecting tickets for higher prices at Springsteen’s request, it still seems that Ticketmaster is in legal trouble. The New Jersey Attorney General discovered that Ticketmaster maybe breaking the state law.

More on it here:

If Ticketmaster gets shut down because of legal issues, that be great! Cheers for the Boss for exposing how shady and greedy Ticketmaster really are!!! Money is all Ticketmaster care about.

BREAKING NEWS: Christian Bale finally speaks on “Terminator” tirade, admits he was wrong…

Well, there you have it folks, the Bruce Wayne/John Connor star, Christian Bale, speaks out to a radio interview on KROQ with DJ’s Kevin and Bean, after his temper tantrum on “Terminator: Salvation” have been leaked to the web. This is the first time Christian Bale spoke publicily about his tirade.

In this audio interview, Bale seems happy, upbeat, and he’s very polite on the interview, him laughing and joking, everything. Christian says him and Shane Hurlbut are all good and cool now, as they resolved things after the tirade. He admits he was an asshole and a punk, he admits he was totally wrong and regrets everything he did.

Christian asks Terminator fans to still go see this movie and not let his tirade overshadow this. Meaning, he doesn’t want his tirade to turn Terminator fans off from seeing the film.

The reason for the tirade was that I’ve been saying in the blog for a while now, he’s been so busy and been stressed out with work. He also says he was playing an intense, and emotional scene around that time, that also caused him to go in a rage. He admits he was out of line and took it too far. He also says he’ll let people make fun of him and hate him all they want ’cause he says he completely deserves it.

Listen to the audio interview here:

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b98799_christian_bale_apologizes_potty_mouth.html

I forgive Christian. He made a mistake. Everyone makes them. You have to learn from your mistakes and move forward in life, that’s what Christian did.

People get mad on jobs in every day lives, it’s part of life.

I’ll still go see “Terminator: Salvation” ’cause the film looks amazing. I don’t see “Terminator: Salvation” bombing ’cause of Christian’s tirade. The movie will be a box office smash ’cause it’s a Terminator movie and they are always a hit.

Christian seems like a cool guy.

Report: Jerry Springer is quitting “America’s Got Talent” as host, plans to go back to hosting talk show…

Legendary talk show host, Jerry Springer, announced he will not be renewing his contract for another season to host “America’s Got Talent” show this year. The TV icon said he’s committed to going back to host his popular talk show, “The Jerry Springer Show”, and he plans to star in a on stage theatrical play.

“The Jerry Springer Show” is a no holds barred, anything goes talk show where guests go on the show talking about their personal lives…everything from divorces, romantic affairs, family drama, homosexuality, etc. The Jerry Springer show has everything from onstage fights to women stripping on stage.

The Associated Press reports:

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5h-Ya9ta0fRzeXLui4G5Tu2L7NTIAD965SK3G0

Great to hear that the “Jerry Springer Show” is coming back. I used to watch it all the time when it was on TV, even though the show is fake and scripted, I still watch it ’cause it’s hilarious. Jerry belongs to talk shows, he don’t need to be hosting prime time talent shows.

“America’s Got Talent” is a great show though, I watch it all the time, definitely better than, “American Idol”. I  have a feeling that Rosie O’ Donnel might be Jerry’s replacement, lets just pray that it won’t. If Rosie O is the replacement, I won’t watch “AGT” at all.
