Report: Sylvester Stallone as Batman?

Comic book writer Frank Miller who is the author of “The Dark Knight Returns” graphic novel pictured above, mentioned if his book “The Dark Knight Returns” gets made into a film, he would like Sly Stallone to star as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Miller says he would like to see “The Dark Knight” Returns his novel get made into a film one day. Keep in mind that Sylvester Stallone already played in a film adapted from a superhero comic, Judge Dredd anyone? So Stallone does have superhero movie experience.

Stallone maybe good as Batman in his old days, but today I think the man himself would turn the role down because he would laugh at himself. An old man in a heavy Batman suit. I don’t think Stallone would go for this because he would think that Rocky and Rambo is enough for his superhero status.

Report: Bangkok Dangerous makes no. 1 in box office this week but flops big time…

Nic Cage’s new movie “Bangkok Dangerous” made no 1. in the box office this week but still didn’t do very well with money. The film only made $7.8 million and that ain’t very good.

More on it here:

Just because a movie bombs doesn’t mean it sucks. I’ve seen many fantastic movies over the years that didn’t do well in the box office.

It’s just that I’m not the type of guy that will see a movie because it’s a hit and won’t see a movie because it bombs like most people are that way.

I’ll only see a movie in theater if it interests me. It doesn’t have to be a blockbuster, it can be even be a film that’s only shown in a few theaters. As long as a film has good storytelling, good acting, and a good cast that’ll get me out to see it, I will. It doesn’t matter what genre and what rating the film is in, I’ll go see a film if it interests me.

I’ll still go see “Bangkok Dangerous” because the story to that movie looks interesting to me and I enjoy Nic Cage films. The man’s a good actor and I can’t wait to see him in “Bad Lieutenant” too.

BREAKING NEWS: Chris Jericho is World Heavyweight Champion from last night’s Unforgiven ppv…

Last night’s “Unforgiven” ppv was shockingly very good. One of the very few good ppv’s all year long. Some of the matches were actually pretty unpredictable this time around.

Best match of the night “Shawn Michaals vs. Chris Jericho” in a Unsactioned match where anything goes, no rules. Shawn Michaels won this one, but later Chris Jericho became the World Heavyweight Champion at the Scramble match being the replacement of CM Punk at the end of the ppv.

The only boring match was the women’s division match, but other than that, most of the ppv was real good. WWE is getting better and improving in storylines and matches.

Not a cool video: Noel Gallager attacked by fan V Festival gig in Toronto…

Noel Gallagher of Oasis was violently attacked by a fan at a concert at the V Festival in Toronto. An angry fan jumped on stage, ran toward Noel, and just pushed him. Noel landed on the stage floor pretty hard. Security was able to successfully drag the fan off the stage, as the fan was being dragged off the stage, you can see Liam (Noel’s brother), trying to kick the kid’s ass as he was being pulled away by security, but of course, security wouldn’t let Liam get near the kid. It took Noel a while to stand back up, when he finally did later in the video, the audience cheered for him, fans letting him know that it’s good that he’s alright.

See the video below.

Report: Darren Aronofsky comes home with golden lion award for his movie “The Wrestler” from Venice Film Festival…

Film maker Darren Aronofsky won the big golden lion award at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. It’s a film about profesional wrestling that stars Mickey Rourke. It is actually set in the independent world of wrestling, not really into the pros yet. Rourke plays Randy “The Ram” Robinson who makes a comeback to wrestling to continue for his revenge to feud with his former rival.

Variety reports:

As a huge lifelong fan of the profesional wrestling industry, of course, I have grown interest in seeing this. So hopefully this film gets released around here soon.

Correction: Tommy Lee Jones not suing the Coen Bros., he’s suing Paramount studios…

That write up in TMZ didn’t say whether or not if Tommy Lee Jones was suing the Coen Bros. or Paramount, they just said he was suing the “film makers”, well the Coen Bros. are film makers so I assumed he was suing them. When more articles started getting on the web, they all say he is suing Paramount.

Report: Harold Ramis confirms Ghostbusters 3 film is definitely happening, original cast in talks of returning, and also Ivan Reitman may direct after all!!!

This is great news that the Ghostbusters 3 film is moving forward.

Harold Ramis himself sent a brief e-mail to confirm the news of the new Ghostbusters film that just got the greenlight. How did Columbia find the Office writers? Well since the Office writers are currently working on Ramis’s new directed film “Year One”, I’m pretty sure Harold himself reccomended those writers to Columbia for the GB-3 film. Ramis says he is in negotiations with Ivan Reitman to return back to directing the next Ghostbusters film. That’s also great news!!!!

We all know that Bill Murray doesn’t really want to reprise his role in a live action film, but Ramis said in the article he’s trying to talk him into being involved on some level. Maybe give Peter Venkman a small role or something. Ramis also announced that he and the Ghostbusters gang are finished doing voice overs for the new video game. There are definitely good possibilities that Ramis may return as Egon, Bill return as Peter, Dan return as Ray, and Ernie return as Winston for the film too.

wOOt! We’re gonna get the Ghostbusters video game and new movie both at the same time! Sweet!

As for who the new Ghostbusters will be that the original cast will pass the torch along too, I don’t agree with actor choices in that blog.

My choices for the new Ghostbusters: Ben Stiller, Rick Moranis, Sean William Scott, Dwayne Johnson

TV Review: 90210

I didn’t watch “90210” on the premiere day that it aired, but I did record it on my DVR. The two hour premiere film of the new “90210” spinoff show.

My thoughts? It was the most piece of crap I’ve ever seen. One word: BORING!

I only saw the first half hour of it, then I hit the “stop” button on the remote and erased it immediately on my DVR. I prefer the classic series with the original cast of “Beverly Hills”. Sorry, but I’ll never watch this show on a regular basis.

Score for 90210 = * (1 star as in poor)
