Report: Elvis Costello not happy with the pricing of his new upcoming boxset…

Elvis Costello, a rock music legend from the UK, is not happy at all with the pricing of his new upcoming boxset, titled, “The Return of the Spectacular Spinning Songbook”. The new boxset will span the career of Elvis Costello & The Imposters. Costello is not so happy with the pricey boxset, that he even welcomes pirates to steal it if they want to.

As a way to keep his fans happy, he recommends them to get Louis Armstrong’s “Ambassador of Jazz” boxset which is a lot cheaper. I looked up the pricing for the new Costello boxset and I agree it is, ridiculously high.

Read more on what they have to say at his official website, here.

I’m sure the label releasing this boxset will be all pissed off at him by now, but oh well. Shit happens. It just proves that Costello really appreciates his fans and this is his way of showing it.

I love Elvis Costello. Loved his music for years. Fuck the boxset, he’s right that Louis Armstrong is real music. Gotta love his honesty!

Report: JJ Abrams “Star Trek” sequel confirmed for May 17th, 2013 release date…

Today, on the Star Trek website, just confirmed the release date for JJ Abrams, ‘Star Trek” sequel. The film will be hitting theaters on May 17th, 2013.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now but JJ Abrams is set to return to direct and actor, Benicio Del Toro, is in talks to play the films leading villain.

We don’t know who Benicio will be playing yet, but notice that Benicio’s skin is a little dark, it look like he maybe playing a Klingon character. He also might be playing a young, Khan.

I thought the first Star Trek movie was real good and hopefully the next film will be just as good. I hope William Shatner will get a cameo this time, also.

Cool Video: First trailer for Kiefer Sutherland’s new show called, “Touch” is now online…

Kiefer Sutherland maybe all done with 24, but he has a new drama show coming out called, “Touch”. It looks like it’s aiming more toward the science fiction genre. After seeing the trailer, it definitely seems like Kiefer is tired of the action hero thing. He wants to do a more serious and softer role, this time around. This is not Jack Bauer in the trailer, so you won’t see him kicking the badguys asses in this one.

“Touch”, looks kind of interesting. I might check out the first episode just to see how the show is. I like Kiefer, good actor.

I hope Kiefer is not done with 24 for good. We hope to make that “24” movie for the big screen to happen still.

10 years ago today we lost George Harrison…

John Lennon has always been the most popular Beatle out of the 4, but it’s always been about George for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lennon too, but George has always been my favorite Beatle out of the 4. I just think he was the better songwriter. Better singer and guitar player than Lennon. George’s solo music and the songs he wrote for the Beatles, meant so much to me.

I was heartbroken when I first heard the news of George’s death. “All Things Must Pass” is one of my favorite albums of all time. Love that record to death. RIP George, and thanks for the inspiration.

Pearl Jam 20 documentary movie, now streamable on Netflix…

Just to bring this to your attention to all you Netflix’ers (the ones that are still left out there, that is), the Pearl Jam 20 documentary is now streamable. Which is cool, and I know what I’m going to be watching tomorrow night, the “Pearl Jam 20” movie. I’ve been wanting to see this for a long while now and I’ll finally get to.

See? Netflix is fucking awesome. This is why I’ll never cancel Netflix.

I’m a long time Pearl Jam fan, been following their career for years. Never saw them live in concert yet though.

Thought: Is Merle Dixon alive or dead? ***possible spoilers***

Merle Dixon (played by the great, Michael Rooker, pictured above) is an original character exclusively for the TV show, “The Walking Dead”. Merle was never a character from the comic books at all. That is why nobody knows anything about Merle and why they are keeping this character mysterious. Merle returned for one episode this season but Daryl was just having a hallucination, it wasn’t really him.

Michael Rooker is a great actor. I’ve remembered him in other movies. His most recognizable movie role would have to be in Stallone’s movie, “Cliffhanger”, back in 1993. It’s nice to see him finally get recognized for his talent in, “The Walking Dead”.

The question we’re all wondering, is Merle Dixon still alive or dead? Maybe he’s even a walker?

I would think Merle is still alive.

When Merle is found alive, another question we’re all wondering, will he get revenge at T-Dog for leaving him up on the roof of the Dept. store in Atlanta? I used to think Merle would come back to get revenge against Rick & his friends, but it’s not going to happen.

I would think Merle would side with Rick and the gang. It’s Daryl that Merle would be after. Remember that hallucination that Daryl had on Merle, it seemed that they don’t get along too well. Why would Merle want to side with Rick and them? Remember, when Merle was handcuffed and the walkers were trying to get out after him, Merle kept screaming, “I’ve been bad, I deserve it…” blah blah blah…. Merle would admit that he was wrong on how he treated them and Merle might help them a bit.

It’s possible that Merle will not be the villain of the show. Rick would want to team with Merle ’cause Merle is an expert gunman. There’s something about Daryl that he will turn into the villain instead of Merle.

I’m probably gonna be wrong on this prediction but it’s a guess. Daryl was never exactly friends with Rick and his gang anyway. The only reason Daryl sided with Rick, ’cause they would help him find Merle, ’cause they’re family.

Merle could end up being a badguy through out the rest of the show, but it wouldn’t make any sense if you think about it. After seeing that scene with Merle and Daryl together. It’s a possibility Merle could have a change of heart with Rick and the gang, and join them. Just my 2cents.

Haters, they’re just people who secretly want to be like me!!!

It seems like a lot of people want to write negative shit and not be supportive of me these days. A lot of times, I just can’t figure out why. Over the years, I’ve never said anything wrong or offensive. I’ve never committed a crime or anything like that. I never really understood the negativity I got over the years. I’m just a simple guy posting on my blog and enjoying life. Playing my guitar, and working out at the gym. I’ve been thinking about this and I’m beginning to figure it out. Like the title of this topic says, they all simply want to be like me and they can’t. People are just mad that I have a lot going on in life, ya know? That’s all it is really.

People have been getting mad at my web presence for years, so I’m pretty used to it. That goes for way back in the old Crumbs website back in the day. I never forget that stuff, I still remember it all like it was yesterday.

I really do think people are just jealous of me, a little bit. They’re just mad ’cause they know that my web presence is pretty popular. They’re mad because I play guitar and write my own music. When I started working out in the gym like a little over 3 years ago, the jealousy kicks in even more, by people making fun of my progress photos.

It’s not just the internet where people are jealous, and not supportive of the things I do in life. People around me in the real world, I get the same thing, everywhere I go. When people on the internet like other musicians and regular music fans, write about me in facebook, twitter or make videos talking about me in youtube, they know they have no reason to do what they do. They do it because they want to be me. When people say that there is nothing to be jealous about, it’s showing your jealousy even more.

With all this being said, I didn’t have to change my internet personality for anybody at all. This is how I am, as a person and human being. I won’t change. I only changed my internet personality a little bit, so I can avoid my blog getting shut down by people, that’s it. I will always be an honest guy and have my own opinions. If I have different opinions than yours, that won’t change either. So you can write all your hateful comments and pull your hair out all you want to, I will always be the same guy.

Although I must admit that some the things that people write about me, can be pretty hurtful, but I learn to get over it. I don’t care about haters, man. They can all jump off a building if they have to.

I’ve been living my life as positive as possible lately, and I’m feeling good. Life is good. Maybe that’s another reason they all come after me ’cause they know that my life is a good one.

Kev

Edit to add: This is why I’m strict on posting comments in this blog, youtube or where ever ’cause simply put, I have a lot of enemies out there. If I left the comments open where everyone at random can post, that would make them want to post hateful comments at me anonymously. I won’t tolerate that. Please try to understand why I’m strict on comment posting.
