Report: There’s a serial killer in Long Island…

To those living in Long Island or near it, there’s a serial killer out there. While Long Island police were searching for a missing woman, Shannon Gilbert, a prostitute, they found 10 dead bodies of other young women at Gilgo beach. This is another prostitute killer, so he’s not after random people.

Prostitution maybe bad and against the law, but they are still women and human. This is a horrible crime, and the guy that did this is still out there. It’s going to be a long time to figure out who he is and where he is, but they’ll get him. Lets hope they find him and put him away soon.

I’ll be keeping an eye on this story.

Report: Nic Cage’s stolen “Superman – Action Comics No. 1” sold at auction for $2.1 million…

Actor Nicolas Cage, is a huge comic collector. That is his second passion outside of acting in film. He’s a big superhero fan like most of us. His Superman “Action Comics No. 1” was stolen from him way back in 2000, and it was later found in an abandoned storage locker. The comic from the locker has been recently sold for a whopping $2.1 million. Don’t believe that this could be Nic Cage’s comic yet, ’cause there is no confirmation or proof that it could be his.

When Nic finds out who the buyer is, I feel a big lawsuit coming and he could try to get it back. You may ask, “What’s so special about a comic? Why don’t he leave it alone and move on?” Well, comics can be extremely valuable. The older ones anyway. If taken care of. I’m sure the comic that Nic had is worth millions, way more than 2.1.

I’m not sure what Nic will do. He could forget it and move on, but I see him wanting it back. I just think he’ll fight for it.

Cool Photo: First look at Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln!!!!

After completing, “War Horse”, and “Tin Tin”, Steven Spielberg is already at work on his, “Lincoln”, biopic. Here’s your first look at Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abe Lincoln. This photo was taken at a restaurant in Richmond, Virginia where the movie is being filmed. Abe in jeans? How badass is that? Look like Daniel is on a lunch break from filming or something.

Now, I can’t wait for the movie after seeing this pic! Super cool!

Report: Bryan Singer confirmed to direct & produce, “The Munsters” re-boot for NBC, another bomb coming???

NBC have been getting a lot of bombs with their TV shows lately like, “The Playboy Club”, “Wonder Woman”, etc. The list can go on. Could “The Munsters”, reboot be next?

Deadline, reports.

There’s no fuckin’ way they’re gonna find actors that will be able to top Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis. I loved, “The Munsters”. It’s one of my favorite TV shows  of all time. I used to watch it as a young kid. I was pretty obsessed with the show. This re-boot is going to suck and I feel that another flop is coming for NBC. Leave the Munsters alone.

Report: “Evil Dead” remake gets the greenlight by Sony Pictures and Film District…

Announced earlier today, Sony Pictures and Film District have teamed up with Ghost House to make, the “Evil Dead” remake. Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell will help produce the film. Diablo Cody had a hand in re-writing some of the script.

Read the full press release, here.

They should start with the casting soon, now that they finally found a studio. Now the question is, who is going to play Ash? Will Bruce Campbell reprise the role? If Bruce only signed on to produce the film and not act, he probably isn’t going to return, but you never know. Maybe they’re keeping his return a secret for now? They’re probably gonna go for a younger actor to play Ash.

Honestly, I don’t care who plays Ash, as long this film stays true to the originals, I’ll go see it. It still needs to be a low budget B-movie like the first two.

You know what? Since found footage movies like “Paranormal Acitivity” are getting so popular, I think it would be interesting if they would take that direction.

It would be great if Bruce returns as the lead! So I hope he does sign on. I love the Evil Dead films and a Bruce Campbell fan as well. If Bruce doesn’t star in the leading role, I hope he’ll get a cameo for a different role at least. There can’t be an Evil Dead movie without him!

Report: The gorgeous Alice Eve to be a love interest for Cpt. Kirk?

Now that the release date for JJ Abrams Star Trek sequel has been confirmed, they are getting right to work on the casting. First, they are in talks with Benicio Del Toro to star as the main villain, but he hasn’t signed on yet. Actress, Alice Eve is the top choice to play a major female lead, possibly to be Captain Kirk’s love interest?

Read more on the story, here.

Keep in mind, that Cpt. Kirk was a big womanizer. So he could get more than one love interest for the next film, lol. I don’t know much about Alice Eve, but she’s a pretty hot lady. Not bad at all.

Netflix Pick (Streamable): Pearl Jam 20

Last night, I watched the “Pearl Jam 20” documentary film by Cameron Crowe on Netflix, as I said I would. I think it’s one of the best rockumentaries I’ve seen in a while. “Pearl Jam 20” celebrates 20 years of Pearl Jam, that’s the whole point of it, but the film mostly focuses on the band’s past. This film will give you a lot of insight on the band’s history and it’s really interesting stuff.

This film will show you how Pearl Jam all started and how they first got together. Then the film will show you how they became superstars in the mainstream in the 90’s. Pearl Jam first started through Mother Love Bone. An 80’s hair metal band that featured singer, Andrew Wood, who would later pass away due to overdosing on heroin. The band also featured Pearl Jam members, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard. After, Andrew Wood, died, Jeff and Stone wanted to keep playing music.

Their friend Chris Cornell, wrote a few songs about Andrew Wood in tribute to him, “Reach Down” and “Say Hello 2 Heaven”. So Chris reached out to Jeff and Stone, together they formed, Temple of the Dog, to do a collaboration on an album together. Chris was the one who brought in Matt Cameron as drummer and Eddie as backup singer. While Pearl Jam was already formed before Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam didn’t release their first album “Ten” later on, soon after the Temple album. Temple released their album before Pearl Jam did.

Back in the old days of Pearl Jam in the 90’s, they were just young kids. Watching this documentary certainly brought back memories from their past, I remember watching all that stuff on TV back in the day. I remember the young Eddie Vedder, being a crazy perfomer. This guy certainly was never afraid of heights ’cause when they would do outdoor concerts, Eddie would climb on the ceiling and do all kinds of risky stunts on stage while performing. Eddie doesn’t perform like that anymore because of his age obviously.

This doc only gives you behind the scenes stuff of their first three albums. Everything about Pearl Jam’s past is in there, including the controversial story where a boy kills himself over the Pearl Jam song, “Jeremy” and their battle with Ticketmaster.

They also talk about how the band is lucky to be staying together playing music with the same guys after all these years. Most Seattle bands have broken up over the years, but Pearl Jam stuck around. It’s clear that Pearl Jam don’t care about being superstars at all, ’cause they don’t make music videos too much and they released their latest album, “Backspacer”, without a label. They released that album on their own budget.

It’s amazing to me how Eddie’s vocal style never changed over the years. He always sang the same way. That unique deep voice of his. This was a pretty inspiring film and it’s a well made documentary. The interviews were entertaining too. There’s a lot of never before seen footage included as well. The band never liked that term, “grunge”, and they never cared about winning awards.

Whether you’re a longtime Pearl Jam fan or a newbie, this is a must see. This was great to see.

I still need to see the Foo Fighters documentary, “Back and Forth”, which is out on DVD I believe, so I que’d that through the Netflix DVD rental. I should be getting the Foo Fighters movie in the mail soon, I’ve been wanting to see for a while as well.

Glad I finally watched “Pearl Jam 20”, the soundtrack album on CD is also great to listen to.

Thought: Who does the best acting in the “Walking Dead” cast???

So we’ve all been watching, “The Walking Dead” for a long while now, and here’s an interesting question. Who does the best acting? Which of the cast do you think is award worthy?

Well, I think Michael Rooker who plays Merle, obviously does the best acting. If we’re all looking forward to seeing him on screen again, that means he’s grabbing our attention with his talented acting.

Another cast member who does the best acting is Norman Reedus who plays Daryl. Both of the Dixon brothers are great actors.

I also think Jon Bernthal who plays Shane, is really incredible. Laurie Holden who plays Andrea was good in the first season, but her acting went downhill in Season 2. I don’t know what happened there. I thought Lennie James who played Morgan from Season 1 was a really good actor.

As far as the rest of the cast goes, they need acting lessons. I don’t think Andrew Lincoln is a good choice to be playing Rick, and I think the woman who plays Lori is a terrible actress.

If there was an actress on the show who I thought did the best acting, I would say the girl who played Sophia on that one, Madison Lintz. Especially what happened with  Sophia in Season 2, I think she’s going to get some award for that scene.

While the writing of the Walking Dead can get really good, I wish the casting would get improved though. It is my favorite show on TV right now and with the ratings really high lately, I think the show is going to be on TV for a pretty long time. I hope the show will last for several more seasons after Season 2. I never read the comics, but I think I’m going to start soon.
