This article, “Rick Santorum declares war on heavy metal” is fake, a tabloid…

There’s this article going around the web, facebook and other sites, a Rick Santorum article titled, “Rick Santorum Declares War On Heavy Metal”. In the article has a small quote where he said how the genre corrupts the minds of young kids. How the genre turns kids suicidal and all that stuff.

The article is not true. It’s fake and made up. Some idiot with too much time on his hands, trying to make him look bad online because of his religious beliefs. Hoping, it’s a way to turn off Santorum supporters.

There’s no evidence or proof where he said that at one of his campaign rally’s.

In reality, Rick supports the Constitution, 100%. So he would believe in the 1st Amendment and Freedom of Speech. He would not put a ban to a genre ’cause he doesn’t agree to it.

I bet Rick himself would respond to that article sooner or later. He supports us Americans and cares for everyone, even the metal heads. I’m positive he won’t ruin things for us.

Cool Video: Nice little video on Mastering the Art of Guitar Improvisation…

When I want to learn something new in guitar playing, sometimes I’ll start watching guitar instructional stuff in youtube. Sometimes there are really good guitar teachers in youtube and Andrew Watson is one of the best guitar instructors I’ve seen on the internet.

The secret to mastering the art of improv, is memorizing the sound of all 12 keys of music which is what I’m working on. He is so right, that this doesn’t happen over night. It takes a long time to memorize each key and get a good ear.

I want to be able to play good and tasteful lead guitar solos. Hopefully get better and play more professionally.

Report: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame finally inducts the Crickets, the Comets, and others…

Both Buddy Holly and Bill Haley may have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame, but their backing bands have never got the induction along with them. Finally, after all these years, Buddy Holly’s backing band, the Crickets and Bill Haley’s backing band, the Comets will get the respect they deserve.

The backing bands of Smokey Robinson, James Brown, Hank Ballard and Gene Vincent will also get inducted.

See the full article, here.

Report: Sharon Osbourne fired Bill Ward from Sabbath? That’s what really happened?

MetalTalk.net, was the first to bring up the news that Sharon Osborne was responsible for firing Bill Ward from, Black Sabbath. I call it a bullshit rumor for now. Everyone loves to blame it on Sharon, but it doesn’t make any sense that Sharon would fire members from, Black Sabbath. I mean, the only person who makes the decisions on who stays and who goes in the band is none other than, Tony Iommi. Tony does the hiring and firing. Not Sharon. Tony owns the band and has complete control.

Everyone likes to assume that Sharon has complete control. No, Sharon has nothing to do with Sabbath. She’s only in charge of Ozzy’s solo career.

Yep, once something bad happens in Sabbath, all the tabloids on the internet will start making shit up. Don’t believe everything you read.

More on the story, here.
