Report: Sly makes Rambo vs. The Inhuman Beast official for Rambo V plot…

From http://www.sylvesterstallone.com/:

On September 4, 2009, Harry Knowles from movie website Ain’t It Cool News posted a voicemail message from Sylvester Stallone in which Sly gave more info on the plot of the next Rambo movie. With the working title, “Rambo V: The Savage Hunt,” this episode sees Rambo in the Pacific Northwest leading an elite squad in the hunt for an inhuman beast. This is clearly an exciting new direction for the Rambo story and we’ll keep you posted on any developments.”

Well, there you have it, Sly really is doing this Rambo vs. this Beast monster plot. Which is kind of cool and different.

It does get kind of old with Rambo destroying military guys, and for some reason, I can always picture in my head Rambo trying to survive some kind of alien or a monster. It’s seems Rambo is that type of guy and Sly is finally doing it.

It’s time that Rambo must fight something that is way more powerful than him.

Thought: Rambo 5 “The Savage Hunt” mixing with sc-fi/action…

Here I am back home from a Martha’s Vineyard, Labor day weekend vacation. Over the weekend, I have been reading and following the plot lines and synopsis for “Rambo V: The Savage Hunt”. Sly made the plot ideas official by confirming it with AICN. So Rambo being mixed with sci fi is the real deal, it’s really happening.

See an updated report on it at AICN:

As you can see in the talk back comments, the new plot is getting mixed opinions. Some love the idea and some hate it.

Me? I FUCKING LOVE IT!

If you wonder where Sly got the plot idea from, “Rambo V” is actually adapted from a book by the author named James Byron Huggins, the name of the novel is, “Hunter”. Sly bought the rights for “Hunter” long ago to make a movie out of, but he never did. “Hunter” sounds just like a “Rambo” story, that’s what Sly probably bought the rights of the book for is because it reminded him of Rambo and he can see Rambo in the leading character of that novel. So now Sly is finally bringing that novel for “Rambo” in the next film.

Sly also made it clear that “Rambo V” won’t be another “Universal Soldier” as you heard on his voice mail message in AICN if you can understand what he is saying. I’ll admit that Sly’s speaking voice is horrible when not acting in film, you could barely understand what he’s saying, lol!!

Most Stallone fans want the Rambo movies to be realistic. Well come on now, if you really think that, you’re living in a fantasy world here. I agree with Harry Knowles that none of the Rambo movies are realistic. All 4 Rambo movies had a whacky, and crazy plot. A lot of crazy things that possibly can’t happen in the real world.

No, police officers don’t go hunting down war vets in a small town when they are not welcomed. Is that realistic? Fuck no.

In First Blood part II…do you think any human being can blow down a huge helicopter with an M72 LAW weapon in real life? LOL!

In Rambo III do you think it’s possible that any man can go to Afghanistan to rescue his friend from the Soviets? Whacky, don’t try this for real, folks. It’s only a movie.

In Rambo IV, the new one, do you think any man can just go to Burma and kill the entire Burmese army in less than ten minutes for reals?

I’m liking the plot idea for “Rambo V” and it will be a very different Rambo film. It gets old with Rambo going on typical rescue missions and it don’t hurt for something different for a change.

As for the beast creature, Sly is talking about, I would think the beast would be CGI, it has to be ’cause the days of make up and costumes are over with. Everything in Hollywood seems to be CGI these days, I don’t see how else Sly is going to make a beast to make it realistic in “Rambo V”.

Love the plot idea or hate it, gotta give credit for Sly’s unique imagination when storytelling. He is a good storyteller and I admire him for that. I like how he takes this stuff very seriously.

Bring it on Sly. I’ll be on the lookout for more Rambo V news in the future. Hopefully we’ll get a longer Col. Trautman flashback too.

Report: AICN gives more details on “Rambo 5”, will it be a sci fi movie?

It seems that Sly already titled “Rambo 5” for the deal he made with Nu Image/Millenium, for now the title is, “Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt”. Sly already revealed plot details early to AICN.

I remember Sly saying in interviews in the past about “Rambo 5” where he had this crazy idea that he was going mix Rambo with sci fi, and my god, he isn’t kidding. He’s actually doing it.

Did Sly inspire this idea from Indy 4? Ha ha!

Read all about it here:

The plot idea sounds kind of cool and different. A different Rambo film, indeed, but I don’t like the title. I’m sure Sly will change the title in the future ’cause remember, Sly had over 20 different titles for “Rambo 4” and he just left the fourth Rambo title as just “Rambo”.

I think “Rambo: Savage” sounds like a better title, it’s very catchy. “Rambo 5: The Savage Hunt” sounds cheesy.

Thought: Sly, please bring back Brian Dennehy as Will Teasle for Rambo 5!!!

Rambo and Will Teasle were enemies in “First Blood”, but what if Sly brought back the Will Teasle character for a small role? Sly could make it like that Will Teasle is a retired Sheriff. Rambo and Will Teasle are good friends now in “Rambo V”. They could make it that Will Teasle will be the one that talks Rambo into going onto the mission to help rescue this little girl from human traffickers and drug lords in Mexico.

Brian Dennehy is still acting in film even though he is aging, he last starred in “Righteous Kill” with Al Pacino and Robert Deniro, and Dennehy had a pretty lengthy role in that film, and he still had the acting chops.

I’d say bring him back Sly! It’ll work!

Report: Stallone’s “Expendables” pushed back to Aug. 20th of 2010…

Well, look like we’re going to have to wait even longer for the “Expendables” to come out in theater, ’cause the movie was pushed back to Aug. 20th of 2010. This was due to the success of Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, “Inglourious Basterds” being a big hit.

Variety Reports:

This is actually a good move. I want this to be a summer movie so it can do well in the box office. Could the “Expendables” be just as big as “Inglourious Basterds”? I think it will. I think “Expendables” will be the biggest movie of the summer of 2010. Count on it.

Report: Stallone greenlights “Rambo 5” with Nu Image/Millenium…

Sly has been discussing about doing a “Rambo 5” ever since the fourth one came out. Well, look like he is done talking about it and actually making it happen for reals!

The plot for “Rambo 5” will be about Rambo, on a rescue mission to save a little girl that was kidnapped by human traffickers and drug lords on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Stallone is currently working on “The Expendables” which is set for a April 23rd, 2010 release date.

Great news! Lets hope the next Rambo will be much longer than the last one. Lets also hope it will be bloody violent like the last one. Lets also hope Rambo will be shirtless in this one as he wasn’t in Rambo 4. I also hope they keep the original Jerry Goldsmith theme song for the film.

Rambo 4 did leave open for another movie, so you knew another one was coming anyways.

I think Sly is doing 6 Rambo movies to catch up with the 6 Rocky’s, I think that’s his plan.

Arnold and Sly together again!

Arnold and Sly got together in Beverly Hills, California again to meet up for a bite to eat at a restaurant. Sly bought a cool classic old car recently and took it for a spin to show it off. Sly is now clean shaven.

The Governator and Sly got together to discuss when the Arnie/Sly/Bruce scene will happen for “The Expendables”? I’m sure they talked about that.

See the pics here:

Bruce is no where to be seen in those pics, maybe they tried asking him for dinner too and couldn’t make it?

Here is a video of Sly driving that cool old timer car:

Thought: WWE should book Sly Stallone to host Monday Night RAW…

Since it was reported that WWE is having celebrities as Monday Night RAW guest hosts, where celebrities get the opportunity to perform on Monday Night RAW for an episode up until this year’s Wrestlemania…I really think WWE should book Sly Stallone to host a RAW episode.

I think it’s very appropriate for WWE to ask Sly. Considering that former WWE star Stone Cold Steve Austin is in Sly’s next movie, “The Expendables”…this would be good promotion for WWE and Sly’s new movie.

Picture it in your head…Sly to run Monday Night RAW for one night? Making his own matches on RAW and feuding with other superstars like Chris Jericho and the Big Show?

I can see it happening.

I always wondered why Sly never performed in WWE as a celebrity guest although it’s no secret the man is a huge fan of wrestling. This would be a perfect time for Sly to get his chance.

Come on Vince, ask him!

BREAKING NEWS: BRUCE, ARNIE AND SLY TO HAVE A SCENE IN “THE EXPENDABLES”…WOW!!!!!

This was bound to happen and I think everybody knew that Bruce was going to get confirmed for, “The Expendables”, but I’m happy to see the news finally official by Bruce the man himself.

The three Planet Hollywood icons finally starring in a movie together! Very cool. Now, I’m way psyched for this film!

See the great news here!
