Report: The Governator visits “Terminator: Salvation” set…

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver visits the cast and crew of “Terminator: Salvation” on their filming set.

In these pictures, you can see Arnold himself chatting with Christian Bale. Bale is the man wearing the black shirt, wearing sunglasses and has a shaved head. Seems like Arnold and Christian are just hanging around, just joking around and laughing.

I’ve said it once before that “The Dark Knight” deserves “Best Picture”, I’m glad Warners is pushing for it.

Report: Kevin Smith has already seen “Star Trek XI” early and reviewed it…

Film maker Kevin Smith who’s made many of the Jay and Silent Bob movies has seen “Star Trek XI” early, it was a personal invite by JJ Abrams to give him a private screening before it’s official release.

Smith reviewed it by saying “It’s a really strong” film, he says that Chris Pine who portrays the young Captain Kirk really stoled the show. He thinks the Chris Pine role will keep audiences glued to him. He also commented on Zoe Saldana being a perfect actress choice for a young Uhura.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

Yep, I too have a feeling that Chris Pine will be the next big male star that ladies are going to drool over. Chris Pine is an actor that no one has ever heard of and this film will get him the mainstream recognition. The Star Trek reboot will also give the Star Trek franchise known in the mainstream again because Star Trek has always been underrated and underappreciated. I’m sure this movie will be a box office smash and will do well. The Star Trek franchise deserves to get more recognition.

I know Star Trek isn’t for everyone, but it should be. I know for those who aren’t into Star Trek may think it’s lame and boring, but that’s because you probably don’t understand their storytelling and you’re probably not into science fiction that much. I was never really into “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” or “Star Trek: Enterprise”, but I do like the original Trek, The Next Generation, and “Star Trek: Voyager” was really good too.

I really think the new Star Trek XI movie will bring in new Star Trek fans, it will bring in people who aren’t even into the series at all and they’ll become new fans later.

Report: Philip Seymour Hoffman says no to playing the Penguin for the next Batman flick…

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman spoke out to MTV News that he is NOT playing The Penguin, he also admitted that he doesn’t think he would be a good Penguin.

Hoffman says he is also a huge fan of Chris Nolan’s flicks, he is also a huge fan of comic books and enjoys comic book adapted films.

The rumour of Hoffman playing the Penguin was started by Michael Caine who also brought up the rumour of Johnny Depp playing the Riddler.

More on it here:

I would also like to say that I wouldn’t quickly assume that the Riddler and the Penguin will be the next villains for the next flick. You never know who the next villains are. Christopher Nolan has never said anything about the next Batman flick, he didn’t even say if he was going to direct the next one or not, so don’t jump to conclusions on what the next villains will be ’cause that’s how these rumours start.

And on top of that, I don’t think Phillip Seymour Hoffman would be a good Penguin either. If Penguin is the next villain, who do I think should get the role?

Probably no one other than Jack Black. The Penguin is short and fat, and so is Jack Black. I’m also pretty sure that Jack can nail down the Penguin voice easily. I’m rooting for Jack for the Penguin.

Expect Johnny Depp to speak out on the rumours of him playing the Riddler as well.

It’s shows creator Stephen J. Cannell was there along with the three main cast reuniting Connie Selleca, Robert Culp and the hero himself William Katt (pictured above, oh my, William Katt hasn’t changed a bit, he still has that curly long hair to this day!!!) were there in person to celebrate the show’s 25th Anniversary reunion which is hosted by the Screen Actors Guild. This event happened September 7th.

The great news is that Stephen J. Cannell confirmed that he and the film crew has completed a screenplay that is ready to go, they have a director already, and next they just have to get the casting done so they can start filming.

Connie Sellecca who played Pam Davidson asked Stephen if there is going to be cameos for the three original leading stars from the TV series. Cannell surprisingly said, yes, Connie, Robert and William will all get casted in the film and have more than just a cameo, pretty much the leading roles.

William explains the script for the film is picking up from where they left off. Is he hinting that Connie, Robert and William will be reprising their original roles for the film? Report: JJ Abrams explains why no William Shatner for Star Trek XI…

The “Star Trek” XI helmer JJ Abrams finally opens up on the real reason why William Shatner will not appear in the new upcoming Star Trek film to reprise his role as the adult James T. Kirk. The young James T. Kirk is played by Chris Pine.

JJ said he and the film makers has written a short cameo for Shatner in a quick flashback scene, but Shatner did not want a cameo. He wanted to be in throughout the entire film and be the leading role, he also wanted the film to be about the adult Captain Kirk. The film makers had already planned that they wanted the cast focused on the younger generation of Trek.

Plus, Captain James T. Kirk died at the end of “Star Trek: Generations” and they couldn’t come up with any possible way to bring the character back to life, so they just moved on without the adult Kirk. The adult Spock will be in the new Trek movie, but not Kirk.

More on it here:

http://www.joblo.com/jj-explains-no-shatner

While I’m sure everyone wants to see William Shatner back in the new Star Trek movie, I would agree that it’s a good idea to keep Kirk out. I want to see the adult Spock played by Leonard Nimoy be the star here without William Shatner hogging the spotlight. The movie will do fine in box office without William Shatner. Spock still being played by Nimoy is all we need.

I mean, it wasn’t easy for the writers to figure out how to bring Spock back to life to make the character return in “Star Trek III: The Search For Spock”, the same it would be for Captain Kirk. There’s no sense of wasting years and years of hard work trying to figure out ways to bring Kirk back. So the writers of the new Trek movie had no choice but to move on without the adult Kirk and just focus on the young one.
