Congrats to William Shatner, he absolutely deserved that… real happy for him!

William Shatner played an outer space superhero named Cpt. James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek series. He played the character for three seasons in the original Star Trek TV series and he played the character for 6 big screen Star Trek movies and after that he played Cpt. Kirk once more for “Star Trek: Generations” which is a Star Trek: TNG spin off in which he teams up with Cpt. Picard in that film.

After all these years of playing Cpt. Kirk he never got to travel to space until now. Jeff Bezos is a die-hard Star Trek fan and he’s been trying to do something with William Shatner for a while and finally Bezos gave Shatner the opportunity to fly into space which happened earlier today.

Yeah, I did watch it live on the internet which was cool. As I was watching Shatner before lift-off, I was amazed how excited and thrilled he was looking but at the same time he was looking very nervous and a little scared. He admitted he was scared after it was all over with, though.

When it was over and he got out of the capsule safely and unhurt, he walked straight to Jeff Bezos to describe the experience which he totally deserved that to. The man deserved to tell his story but those other asshole people were celebrating loudly and interrupting Shatner’s speech… even Jeff was rude to Shatner a little bit. It’s like… come on… grow the hell up… stop celebrating like little kids and let him tell his story, those rude idiots!!!

Anyway, Shatner tried to describe what was it like travelling to space and described what it was like in space. Ya know, outer space isn’t like what you see in Star Trek at all. You know how in Star Trek when they fly all those ships and stars fly past and you see all kinds of lights and planets? All that’s a bunch of baloney… space don’t look like that at all as you all you’re gonna see when you get out there is nothing but “black”. No flying stars, no weird planets with multiple moons and none of that silly stuff like you see in the sci-fi films.

I’m a huge Star Trek fan, I’ve seen the original Trek TV show and seen all the Trek films so yeah, I’m a huge William Shatner fan and have been for years honestly.

I was proud and happy for him myself and he totally deserved that. Shatner did that ’cause he wanted to see what space was like himself after hearing about space for so many years which is what he’s mostly known for, a “sci fi” guy.

I mean, Shatner’s fucking 90 and he might as well do something huge ’cause you never know when he’s gonna go, ya know? You can only live once. May as well do something huge to cross off your bucket list. I’m sure Shatner wanted to do that for a long time.

I’m not a fan of that Bezos guy myself but what he did was cool. Congrats, Bill!

William Shatner gets into twitter war with fans about signing autographs in public… he’s just another arrogant jerk in Hollywood… nothing to see there…

Some celebrities are great with their fans and some celebrities are horrible. They’re all different. While it maybe fun and exciting to see a celebrity you recognize in public and once you decide to meet him/her, you might feel a little disappointed after this celebrity treats you a little rudely. Not all famous people are willing to give out autographs in public places. Some celebrities are gonna have strict autograph policies.

If you see William Shatner walking out in the street, at a restaurant or at a store… it’s best that you leave him alone ’cause he won’t be friendly to you if you walk up to him for an autograph or a picture taken with him.

Shatner is willing to sign autographs and take pictures with fans but he only does that at things like conventions, charity events and book signings things like that. Events that you have to pay a lot of money just to get an autograph/picture.

Read this interesting article here:

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2018/07/19/william-shatner-goes-on-twitter-rant-after-fans-call-his-autograph-policy-rude.html

Will Shatner maybe a talented man but no doubt in real life, he’s a bit of an arrogant jerk and kind of douchey. Not all celebrities are gonna be friendly. Just one thing to keep in mind.

Not all celebrities are pretty douchey to their fan base, there are a lot of celebs who are wonderful to their fans. There are many celebs that will be willing to sign autographs and take pictures everywhere they go even for free.

I find it kind of funny that Will Shatner makes a big deal about signing autographs/taking pictures with fans ’cause all that takes is just a few seconds to do. Shatner is just one of those who feels more important and more superior than you. Just another arrogant jerk and egomaniac in Hollywood. There’s a lot of ’em.

I find it hilarious when celebs complain about privacy when out and about. Seriously? You’re a public figure and well known, of course you’re going to get approached by people when recognized. Get over it, losers. If you don’t want fans bothering you in public places then stay the fuck home.

Look like William Shatner may finally get his wish, he may appear in “Star Trek 3″…

When the first Star Trek movie came out, I remember that William Shatner desperately wanted to return as Captain Kirk just like Leonard Nimoy returned as Spock for the first film. However, JJ Abrams didn’t want Kirk to return to the first film since Kirk got killed off in “Star Trek: Generations”. Remember, JJ and Bill Shatner had a little public feud ’cause JJ wouldn’t have him in the film? I’ll never forget that feud as it was entertaining as hell stuff!

Well, it’s looking like that JJ wants the original Captain Kirk back in the film with Leonard as Spock. The original Cpt. Kirk and Spock to reunite in the next Star Trek film? If that’s gonna happen which probably will, I’ll go see it.

Even if the original Cpt. Kirk got killed off in an earlier Star Trek movie, I’m sure they’ll find a way to bring him back. Keep in mind, Bill Shatner is a sci-fi writer himself so I’m sure he’ll give JJ some ideas.

“Star Trek: Into Darkness” was a horrible film and I’m sure the next film won’t be any better but I’ll go see it if the original Cpt. Kirk and Spock are gonna reunite. That’ll be pretty cool to see.

Happy 82nd Birthday to William Shatner!!!

I usually wish the Shat, a happy birthday every year in my blog. Why? Because he’s a hero and inspiration to me. Love the guy! I’ve looked after him, my whole life. He is a man of many talents. He has done everything you could think of in the entertainment business. He was an actor most notably, but he was also a spoken word singer, TV show host, comedian, science fiction writer & non fiction author, former professional wrestler (yes, he worked for the WWF for a little bit), and he was many other things. I don’t know how he does it, but the man keeps himself busy, all the time. That’s part of why he is such an inspiration. He’s a work horse for sure. Plus, he’s an entertaining and funny as hell guy. He treated his career in a positive direction too. Happy Birthday, Shat! Enjoy yourself, where ever you are!

I don’t understand the hate for Star Trek…

Last night on Netflix, I just finished watching “Season 1” of the original Star Trek series. I have watched the original series too many times as a kid, I just haven’t seen it in a long while, so it’s nice to start re-watching it. I’m a Trekkie. Proud of it and not ashamed to be a die-hard of this franchise. Over the years, people would bash Star Trek. A lot of people said that Star Trek is boring. I don’t think Star Trek is boring. I think the stories are pretty masterful and intelligent. I think people have a hard time getting into Trek ’cause they look at it like it’s more of a “drama” or “soap opera” mixed with “science fiction”. I also think people don’t like Star Trek ’cause the science is more detailed and they don’t understand it.

Don’t get me wrong, there are things I don’t like about Trek. For example, I wasn’t a fan of “Deep Space Nine”, “Enterprise” with Scott Bakula, and there were a few Star Trek movies I didn’t like. I loved most of the Star Trek movies except for, “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier”, “Star Trek: Insurrection”, and “Star Trek: Nemesis”.

I’m a fan of the original Trek series, I loved The Next Generation, and Voyager was good too. I plan to re-watch all those shows on Netflix. It’s great that Paramount gave Netflix the permission to stream all the series ’cause I was going to start collecting the series on DVD. Don’t have to now. The picture and sound is just as good on Netflix.

Star Trek is cool. Love that franchise more than Star Wars.

Report: Is William Shatner done with Priceline commercials finally???

William Shatner, has been doing, Priceline commercials for years, and the company finally decided they had enough with him. He isn’t really being fired, the company felt that they just need to move on from him.

Read more, here.

Oh, give me a break. This is just another one of their jokes. I’m not buying it at all that the Shat is done with Priceline. It’s just to help hype up the upcoming Superbowl, appearances. They’re not fooling anybody, lol….

Cool Video’s: Hear some new songs from William Shatner’s “Seeking Major Tom” here…

William Shatner’s new spoken word album, “Seeking Major Tom” is out now and hear a few tracks including an official music video of his cover, “Bohemian Rhapsody”. I do plan to buy this album soon, ’cause I enjoy Shatner’s spoken word stuff. He’s very talented at that. “Seeking Major Tom” is a two disc album, full of rock n’ roll covers.

Enjoy a few tracks from his new album in the videos below. They rock. I love ’em!

Cool Video: See William Shatner record vocals for Sabbath’s “Iron Man” in the studio…

Here’s a funny video of William Shatner recording spoken-word vocals for Sabbath’s, “Iron Man”. As some of you might already know the guitar parts were recorded by, Zakk Wylde.

Many would find Shatner singing pretty bad, but in reality, he’s not really singing. He’s still doing the spoken word thing. That’s how he has always done his cover songs. He does them the spoken word versions.

If you think Shatner is bad, everybody probably thought Ozzy was the worst when he first sung this song in the studio with Black Sabbath back in the day. Black Sabbath songs maybe good but Ozzy was never the greatest singer. He never had a powerful vocal range, it almost seems like Ozzy does the spoken word thing too. Ozzy admitted he never had vocal training.

William Shatner is set to release his new album, “Seeking Major Tom“, Oct. 11. It will be a double disc album full of covers of rock n’ roll songs of all time.

Enjoy the video below.

Report: William Shatner set to roast Charlie Sheen on Comedy Central’s “The Roast”…

William Shatner once got roasted on Comedy Central’s “The Roast”, now he gets to roast somebody else. The Shat is set to roast Charlie Sheen, which will air on Comedy Central, Sept. 19th, @ 10:00 p.m. Other roastees for Charlie Sheen will be Mike Tyson, Jon Lovitz, Slash, Kate Walsh, and more.

Read more on it, here.

I’m gonna be sure to watch this. Who will roast Charlie the hardest? I think, The Shat, has what it takes to piss Charlie off. It’s going to be hard to piss Charlie off ’cause I’m sure he’ll be laughing throughout the whole show, but if there will be somebody that will piss him off, Will Shatner will do that job. I’m sure “Iron” Mike will do a good job too.

Looking forward to seeing this.

Happy 80th William Shatner!!! :-)

I have followed William Shatner’s career for years. You have to give so much respect for this great man. He’s an American icon, and one of the true legends in the entertainment business, in my opinion. This man has done it all. He’s done everything in the entertainment business, that he could run out of things to do.

Lets look at all the things he has done over the years:

  • Movie actor for the big screen
  • TV actor – for commercials, sitcoms and a handful of other shows…
  • TV show host – from “Rescue 911” to “Shit My Dad Says”, etc. list goes on….
  • Film director
  • Screenwriter
  • Stand up comic
  • Novelist/writer (he’s written a handful of Star Trek books, biographies, and the “Tek War” series)
  • Spoken word musician/singer
  • Professional wrestler (yes, he did that too)

I think that pretty much covers it. I don’t think there is anything he hasn’t done yet. He’s 80 years old, still doing the things he loves doing. He hasn’t retired yet. I don’t think he will call it quits until the day he dies. It’s amazing he’s 80 years old and hard to believe too.

Congrats Shat, and happy birthday, man! You’re such a huge inspiration to me!
