Damn you, Disney!

Disney took down all the Alice In Wonderland trailers on almost every video website on the net! They must be pissed at IGN when they uploaded early! I hope IGN doesn’t get sued by Disney for this ’cause it could happen.

“Alice In Wonderland” looks really fantastic though, I think it could be the best Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration ever made.

At least we got a chance to see the trailer before Disney took it down though. I’m sure Disney will release the trailer on their own under their own rights.

Walt Disney does own the copyrights to the “Alice In Wonderland” story as they had that story for years…so it’s their right to do this.

MJ’s “Captain EO” short movie here, full film…

Another thing that MJ was famous for, his science fiction character of Captain EO from the short movie he made.

Hollywood to do a full length remake of “Captain EO” for the big screen, with someone else playing the leading character? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what’s Disney is planning other than the MJ biopic. Disney would probably bring Captain EO back.

Report: Gore Verbinski pulls out of “Pirates 4” to bring “Bioshock” video game to the big screen!!!

The longtime director for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, Gore Verbinski has pulled out of directing “Pirates 4” that he was attached to. He revealed the news to Disney, that he will not do the fourth one. The fourth one is still in development but not yet greenlit by Walt Disney pictures.

Why is Gore Verbinski pulling out of “Pirates 4” after making 3 successful films for the series? Verbinski plans to stay focused on bringing the hit video game, “Bioshock” to the big screen in a live action motion picture.

I’m still in the middle of playing the game “Bioshock” for the PS3. The game is getting even more challenging now. Most movies adapted from video games are crap, but I think “Bioshock” would make a great movie if they did it right. “Bioshock” tells a great story that is definitely movie material.

Thought: Lost my appreciation for “The Rock”…

I used to love “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson, he used to be a hero and I’ve idolized the guy for years ever since back when he was in WWE. When he turned his back on wrestling and became a movie star, he came out with a few good movies like “The Rundown”, “Scorpion King”, “Get Smart”, and “Walking Tall”…those were really great flicks, in my opinion.

Everything he has done after that: “Doom”, “The Gridiron Gang”, “The Game Plan”, and “The Race to Witch Mountain” hasn’t been interesting.

The Rock has been known to be this bad ass tough guy that we all loved to look after him. You know the most electrifying man in entertainment is gone. The dude is no longer interesting anymore. WWE wants the Rock to come back to wrestling for a few occasional appearances, but Rocky turns it down everytime ’cause he’s too busy making movies.

The Rock not only turned his back on profesional wrestling, he also turned his back on all the wrestling fans that loved him. The Rock won’t come back to WWE for a small run for his wrestling fans. I am beginning to think that the Rock is a big egomaniac, a self absorbed sellout that only cares for himself.

At least come back to Wrestlemania for one last final match, Rocky, come on!!!!! We all want to see the Rock layeth the smackdown for one last time. We all miss the Rock in WWE terribly, the WWE hasn’t been the same without him. He’s no longer interesting anymore. He’s turning himself into a mainstream celebrity. He no longer wants to be seen as a pro wrestler anymore.

I saw him host Saturday Night Live last night, there hasn’t been one segment where he brought his Rock WWE character back, so I guess he wants to act like that his wrestling character don’t exist anymore, since he is going under Dwayne Johnson, not Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Rock is a sellout, and a fame whore. Go ahead and ignore the wrestling fans dude. Continue to promote yourself in the mainstream. We wrestling fans want the Rock back to wrestling at least for a one time only appearance, but the Rock keeps turning his back on us. He’s no longer the Rock anymore. He’s no longer the People’s champ. He’s no longer the electrifying man in sports entertainment to perform in front of “millions and millions” of Rock fans.

The Rock is no longer cool anymore as he once was. Come on Dwayne, go back to the tough guy image, you don’t need the celebrity thing.

Report: Look like Spielberg’s first film with Dreamworks/Disney will be “Tin Tin”…

An editor at Variety had a back and forth private e-mail chat with Steven Spielberg himself, discussing the Dreamworks/Disney deal. Look like Spielberg plans to release “Tin Tin” with it first, he’ll be directing that movie very soon. “Tin Tin” is adapted from the comic hero, “The Adventures of Tin Tin”.

According to an earlier news report at MTV News…Jamie Bell is set to star as Tin Tin, and Daniel Craig is also set star in the film as well.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/blog/130000613/post/1290040529.html

I’m sure Spielberg will make a great “Tin Tin” movie, as I was a fan of the character when I was a kid.

Spielberg also has his movie about, President Abraham Lincoln planned and of course, the movie with Will Smith, “Old Boy”. I wonder if he’ll release those two films through Disney as well. Spielberg plans to do live action films only. He doesn’t say anything about animated films in the article.

I think Spielberg has finally grown tired of making films for adults that he wants to get back to making movies for kids again like he did in the 80’s and early 90’s.

My top ten favorite Spielberg films are here:

  1. Schindler’s List
  2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
  3. War of the Worlds
  4. E.T.
  5. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  6. Jaws
  7. The Terminal
  8. The Color Purple
  9. Minority Report
  10. Amistad

I don’t really care for “Saving Private Ryan”, it’s a bit overrated and there are better war films than that, in my opinion.

BREAKING NEWS: Disney NOT making third Narnia film “The Voyage of Dawn Treader”!!!

Walt Disney has announced they will not make the third Chronicles of Narnia film “The Voyage of Dawn Treader”. Disney would not get into details as to why they aren’t filming the next film, but they briefly said it had something to do with budgeting and logistical reasons. They were going to start filming in the Spring and hopefully get a May 2010 release but those plans have been cancelled.

Disney made the first two Narnia films “The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian”. Walden Media, who owns the rights to the Narnia series, hope to find a new film company to make the films with. It is most likely Twentieth Century Fox will take over.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Kind of shame Disney is parting ways. I loved “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian” very much both are amazing movies.

It is still kind of exciting that Disney is no longer making the movies though, think about it. That means more violence, and more blood, they can make the next Narnia movie more adult oriented, than family friendly. Kind of like a Lord of the Rings thing.

If another film company picks up the series to take over, hopefully they stay true to the first two films by having the same cast and same style of filming.

Report: Tim Burton already filming “Alice In Wonderland” now…

Well, Tim Burton is not wasting any time on “Alice In Wonderland” by Walt Disney and he is already filming the movie in Cornwall right now. Johnny Depp has not yet arrived on set to start filming his scenes but he will in the near future. Tim Burton has already started filming Mia Wasikowska an 18 year old actress from Australia who I believe is playing Alice the leading role. See the photo of Tim Burton working on the film in the link below.

More on it here:

Surprising that he is filming this movie this soon. I guess he’s really that excited and stoked to work on it.

I hope it’s good though. “Alice In Wonderland” has been remade so many times and it will be interesting to see Tim Burton’s vision of it. Tim Burton has a weird imagination.

BREAKING NEWS: Nicolas Cage signs on to “National Treasure 3″…

Nicolas Cage has yet again signed on to another huge role, that is the third film to the Disney hit blockbuster “National Treasure”. Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage attended the Disney showcase in Hollywood in person, and announced in public at the event that there is a third “National Treasure” in the works. Nicolas Cage said he is coming back to reprise his role as Ben Gates and Jon Turteltaub will be back to helm the third one as he already directed the first two.

The plot is being kept underwraps, release is aimed sometime in 2010.

Dark Horizons reports:

I like the National Treasure films. I’ve seen the first two in theater and will probably end up seeing the third one as well. The 2nd one was ok and pretty fun, but I hope the third one will be a great one this time.
