Report: Miley Cyrus to make music with John Travolta?

Geez, the Miley Cyrus news just won’t end. It also seems that John Travolta wants to get back into music again. Travolta was a singer back in the 70’s/80’s, he went back into musicals by starring in “Hairspray” musical movie and now it seems that he is interested in making music with Miley Cyrus.

The article doesn’t really say if they are dueting on one song or making an entire album together. Kelly Preston, Travolta’s wife revealed the news to E!

As long as Travolta doesn’t make her take off her clothes to her bra and panties while dancing on stage together, it’ll be okay!

Report: OJ Simpson drugged up and confessed to ex-manager…

Exclusively reported to the Associated Press, one of OJ Simpson’s former cronies named Mike Gilbert, a memoribilia dealer is releasing a book titled, “How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse” is being released in bookstores everywhere this coming Monday. The book is about 230 pages and will cost $27.95. In the book, is a tell all story of how Gilbert was hanging out with The Juice smoking weed, OJ was really high that he confessed to him that he murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.

OJ’s lawyer, Yale Galanter, of course responded to this saying that Gilbert is a delusional drug addict that is doing this for the money and saying he is having trouble paying taxes with the I.R.S. Gilbert was a die hard fan of Simpson’s football career “before” his murder trial, that he and Simpson became friends, and doing business together.

The Associated Press Reports:

Gilbert will not be a delusional man if all of this turns out to be true. I think Gilbert is trying to help the Goldman’s and the Brown family, it isn’t about the money the way I see it.

Will Achy Breaky Billy Ray approve of this? Will Billy Ray be suspicious of an 82 year old man fantasizing of a 15 year old?

No, he’ll probably let her do it.

Film Review: Iron Man

Starring: Robert Donwey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeff Bridges

Directed by: Jon Favreau

Last night, I went to see the new “Iron Man” at a late showing. It really wasn’t one of my most anticipated films of the year, I saw it because it got good reviews and broke world records in box office. It actually took me a while to get interested in Iron Man because to be honest, I wasn’t interested in it at first. So I decided to check it out.

Robert Downey Jr. plays a business man and rich guy named Tony Stark. He goes on a trip with the Army in the Middle East, and then he suddenly suffered some life threatening danger there. Tony owns a weapons business where he makes a living off of and his goal to help saves lives in the world. Tony and the Army are being attacked in the Middle East by terrorist, Tony Stark decides to go on revenge by building an armor full of robotic weapons and flying equipment known as Iron Man.

As far as my thoughts on the movie goes, I thought it was pretty good and entertaining. Nothing amazing or great, but exceptionally good. I give credit for Marvel movies improving though. The fight scenes were entertaining but could be a little longer. Iron Man could have had a few more weapons. Jeff Bridges played a pretty good bad guy in the film. I also give credit to Robert Downey Jr’s good acting in the film.

While I thought “Iron Man” was pretty good, I’m sure there are even better movies coming out this year like “Indy 4”, “Prince Caspian”, “The Dark Knight”, “Wanted”, etc. I’m glad I went and saw “Iron Man” ’cause I came pretty close in waiting for DVD release.

“Iron Man” film score: *** (3 stars as in good)

Report: Radiohead continues to slam former label EMI about Greatest Hits album…

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke does not like the idea of EMI releasing a Greatest Hits album for Radiohead. It wasn’t the band’s decision to release the Greatest Hits record, the label did it on their own decision. Thom complains that all those songs on their new Greatest Hits record aren’t “hits”. He never considered any of Radiohead’s songs “hits” or “singles”. Yorke admits there is nothing the band can do to stop the label from releasing it since Radiohead’s music is “public property”.

More on it here:

Yep, just the label’s way of making more money off a Radiohead so called “Greatest Hits” album. That’s the only reason for it.

Report: Buck Rogers coming to the big screen…

Nu Image/Millenium has acquired the film rights to “Buck Rodgers” a popular fictional story that got it’s start in the 1920’s in radio, then made it’s way to comics, TV, movies, etc. The TV series had two different actors play Buck Rogers, Gil Gerard and Buster Crabbe.

Nu Image/Millenium’s company owner Avi Lerner won the rights from the suriving family members who run the Dille Trust company. Frank Dille was the creator of the Buck Rogers series. Disney used to own the rights to the Buck Rogers character but the Dille family won the rights from Disney.

Variety reports:

I have always been a huge fan of the Buck Rogers series. I’d say bring the film on!

I hope they don’t mess this one up and hope they choose a good actor to play Buck.
