What took so long for someone to take a stand on this? It’s about time! Pope Benedict is the man for this! Priests turning into pedophiles has been going on for over a hundred years. It does need to end completely. Benedict is doing a great thing. Kudos!

Another band from the past has returned. What’s with all these bands from the past returning? I’m sure they all know how bad the music industry is today, I think they are coming back to save it.

The music industry is in need of a rock revolution badily.

Report: Harry Potter court drama – day #2 Vander Ark testifies…

It is now Steven Vander Ark’s turn to testify in the lawsuit for the “Harry Potter Lexicon” controversy today for Day #2. As I predicted, Vander Ark is upset. He actually cried to tears as he spoke in court today. Vander Ark says the book publishing company talked him into doing the encyclopedia but he did have concerns on whether or not it violated the copyrights to Rowling’s work.

The Associated Press reports:

http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.asp?S=8170345&nav=menu554_2_4

What a way to treat your own fans Loudmouth Rowling. Never try to make friends with your favorite celebrities or they could stab you in the fucking back like Mrs. Loudmouth did to this poor fellow. Not all celebrities are the nicest people in the world and this shows it. Can you believe this shit? Mrs. Loudmouth got Vander Ark so upset that he got him crying in court. What a selfish stupid idiot she is.

Report: Spielberg for “Ghost in the Shell” live action 3-D???

Dreamworks studios has just acquired the rights to make “Ghost in the Shell” anime into a live action 3D movie and iconic director Steven Spielberg immediately jumped in the interest on directing it. He loves “Ghost in the Shell” anime films so much that he badily wants to make the live action.

“Ghost in the Shell” is a Japanese animated futuristic police story that fights against technology related crime.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117984029.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

As long as Spielberg wants in, Dreamworks will definitely give this opportunity for him. They’ll just look at what Spielberg did to “Minority Report” and “Artificial Intelligence” and they’ll say, “Spielberg has what it takes to make futuristic films”.

Spielberg would make a good “Ghost in the Shell” movie, as long as Spielberg don’t get Tom Cruise for this one, I’ll go see it.

Report: Eddie Vedder rocks solo, plays first show in Los Angeles…

Eddie Vedder decides to take a break from Pearl Jam to do a solo tour in support of his album soundtrack for the film “Into the Wild” (the album is one of the best Soundtracks of a film I ever heard) by playing his first show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. The audience at the Wiltern venue was jam packed with mostly Pearl Jam fans of course. Eddie Vedder mostly played stuff from the “Into the Wild” soundtrack in it ‘s entirety, he also played several cover songs and of course, you guess it, he played some Pearl Jam songs acoustically as well.

Eddie also had special guest duets on stage, Liam Finn dueted with Eddie in the song “Society” from “Into the Wild” and Ben Harper played slide guitar and sang with Vedder on a few songs too.

Throughout Eddie’s entire acoustic set, the audience screamed and begged him to perform “Yellow Ledbetter” seems like that’s the only song the audience wanted to hear, nothing else. Eddie played at the Wintern for 2 hours and 2 nights in a row.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2008/04/eddie-vedder-so.html

If I was at that concert, I would have been there to appreciate the music, rather than being obsessed of forcing Eddie to play “Yellow Ledbetter”. Sounds like a great show Eddie played, I would have loved to been there. I would have loved to see him play those songs from “Into the Wild” live. That would have been an amazing experience.

If you were a true Pearl Jam fan, you would respect Eddie as a solo artist. Sounds to me the Pearl Jam fans don’t respect Eddie as a solo artist, they just wanted him to play Pearl Jam songs throughout the entire thing.

I would suggest Eddie to not allow Pearl Jam fans at his acoustic shows and just have regular music fans if he wants to be respected as a solo artist.

The audience was just a bunch of wannabe Pearl Jam fans. Sad.

Report: Madonna to perform intimate show in NYC and to be live on the web…

Madonna will perform her first show in NYC with a small intimate performance at the Roseland Ballroom on April 30th in support of her new and last album “Hard Candy”. The concert will be cybercasted live on the web on msn in the US and it will replay internationally May 15th. This concert will be the day after “Hard Candy” is released in stores everywhere April 29th.

Billboard reports:

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003789617

Besides playing her new songs on the album “Hard Candy”, I hope she performs some of her old classics from the 80’s. If she doesn’t perform “Like a Virgin” or “Holiday”, then it won’t seem like a real Madonna show.

I’ll probably pick up “Hard Candy” when it’s out. I’ll definitely try to watch her NYC concert on MSN if I can.
