More about free verse poetry…

As soon as I started posting my own poetry on this site, I have already been criticized of my poems. Some said my poems weren’t poetical enough. I agree, and they were kind of not meant to be. In “free verse” poetry, the goal is not make them sound poetical. Read more on “Free verse” here.

Free Verse is a form of Poetry composed of either rhymed or unrhymed lines that have no set fixed metrical pattern. The early 20th-century poets were the first to write what they called “free verse” which allowed them to break from the formula and rigidity of traditional poetry. The poetry of Walt Whitman provides many illustrations of Free Verse including his poem “Song of Myself”.

In other words, “Free verse” is no holds barred, anything goes poetry!

There are many different forms of poetry. I just happen to find “Free verse” to be the most interesting. I think writing songs in that way would be pretty interesting.

Just wanted to teach you a few things about “free verse” poetry for those who didn’t know. After reading a lot of other poets after a while and writing poems of my own, I have falling in love with poetry. It’s a new hobby, I just picked up for sure.

Recorded guitar tracks for a song in garageband today…

I spent most of the day recording guitar tracks into GarageBand on the Ipad. It’s just a song idea, that’s all. I’m real proud of how it came out so far, though. It’s gonna be a good song, I think. People could potentially like this one. It’s a short slow ballad kind of song. This one is finger style. A lot of my upcoming new songs will probably be finger style aka finger picking. I wanna start writing songs without a guitar pick. Acoustic songs are more interesting this way. I’m planning to record vocals tomorrow for this song and I’ll have it uploaded sometime this week.

You may hear a bit of a change in my voice, though. I think my singing is different than before. I’m trying to take vocals a little more seriously. I tried to sing my older songs from the past but I feel that I can’t sing my older songs anymore ’cause of the change in my vocals. I think my voice has gotten stronger. I’m hoping you’ll notice the change too.

Can’t wait to upload this new song. I just wanna see what kind of feedback it’s gonna get and am feeling it’s gonna be a good one. I know I should let the music speak on it’s own but when you’re proud of your own song; chances are, people are gonna like it too.

I’m starting to get a lot of people wondering when am I going to release new music? Well, I feel it’s time. That’s part of why I’m getting back into the songwriting thing again finally ’cause there are people wanting new stuff from me. Well, the wait is just about over. It’ll be worth the wait, trust me.

“Bad Social Behavior”

I hate the kind of people
who appear to be nice and
friendly to you in person
but when you talk to them
online, they can be complete
assholes to you.

People like that piss me off.
All that really proves is that
certain people in your life
don’t really like you at all.
If you see me in person, do you
think I’m going to ignore
how you treated me online?

This is bad social behavior.
You need to learn how to communicate
with people better ’cause a lot of people
are absolute shit at it.

It’s hard to trust everyone
these days.
It’s even hard to trust
people you know well.
People are messed up
and crazy.
If I’m right there in front of your
face, why don’t you try and say
the same things you said
to me online?

“Playing Guitar Is In My Blood”

There are quite a lot of
people who question me
on how long I play guitar
at home.
To be honest…
Playing guitar is pretty much
all I mostly do.
I don’t have a strict schedule
in guitar playing.
I don’t choose the number of
hours to play.
I can play guitar all day
and never get bored of it.

I do other things besides
guitar, though.
Some people know I like to
workout in gym, watch movies,
read books and other
things, so guitar playing
is not the only thing I do.

Playing guitar is in my blood.
I may not have a girlfriend
or not much else going on in
my life but guitar playing
is pretty much the only thing
I want to do.

I’ve known other musicians,
who would pick up a guitar,
get bored of it easily and
put it back down.
I never did that.
As soon as I pick up the guitar,
I’ll melt into it.
That’s a true guitar player.
Somebody who actually
loves to play.

You know how when you
go out riding on a motorcycle
just for the hell of it and ride for hours?
It’s the same with guitar playing.

I don’t feel ashamed or guilt of
what I do.
I may not be in a romantic relationship
with a woman at this time but playing
guitar is my romantic relationship.
Enough said.

Okay, I just found the perfect way to record without ground loop hum!

Welp! I almost forgot that I have Garage Band for the Ipad. I remember recording guitar parts on it and it’s perfectly clean sounding guitar on the Ipad. No hum or too many background noises. So from this point on, I think I’ll record guitar parts on the Garage Band software for the Ipad. After I record the guitar parts, I’ll just bring the track to this computer to record vocals over. When I record vocals over the song, I won’t use the mic preamp until I get the preamp stuff figured out. I remember recording songs this way a couple of times before a long time ago. Recording guitar parts in Garage Band for the Ipad first and then record vocals on this computer. I think you remember me doing it that way and it sounds pretty decent.

I’m still gonna keep the preamp ’cause I want to learn more about it and hopefully use this thing when I get it all figured out down the road.

As for my SM86 condenser mic, I tried to use that on the preamp and the condenser mic wouldn’t work on it. So I looked up on google to figure out why and according to other forums and stuff… I think I’m gonna need a special XLR cable for the condenser mic so it can pick up the phantom power. A condenser mic won’t accept random microphone cables, needs a special cable for the SM86 too, I guess.

All this technology in music recording. Frustrating shit, I tell ya! Maybe I can hook up the preamp into the Ipad somehow? I’ll look into it.

For now, I’ll just record guitar parts in Garage Band first and then record the vocals. My only choice that I have now.

About preamp noises…

I think I may have discovered a way to get clean sound out of this microphone preamp. After doing a little research, I learned that after successfully hooking up the preamp into the audio interface, you need to learn something called, “gain staging”. I’ve been doing some reading on that. There is no ground loop issue through the preamp, it has something to do with “gain staging”. Fooling around with the controls and knobs. For example, I think I would need the gain turned all the way down on the mic pre. Then you would have to mess around with your volume controls on your recording software. Something like that. Gonna be researching “gain staging” today. I think I’m still able to get clean microphone sound, just gotta figure out the gain staging stuff. I’ll work on it.

Another note on President Obama and Syria…

Obama has no reason to attack Syria. He knows it. We all know it. Why is he getting in on Syria’s business? It isn’t because of the chemical weapons. I know the only reason he’s getting himself involved in Syria. This answer should be no surprise to everyone reading this and it could potentially piss some off too but it’s gotta be said.

Okay, here we go…

The only reason Obama’s getting himself into this is because… he’s using Syria as a distraction from Benghazi. That’s it. He’s trying his best to keep our minds off of Benghazi. He knows that the American people wants answers about the Benghazi attacks and he knows we want justice for the 4 Americans. This is just Obama’s way of covering himself up even more and trying to get away with it. Everybody knows Obama is responsible for the Benghazi consulate attack. That’s why John Kerry wants to get in on Syria ’cause it’s their opportunity to get away with the Benghazi attacks. There is no reason to get in on Syria at all. Obama also has no right to blame Assad on the chemical weapons and he goes on TV calling him a dictator and shit when Obama’s nothing but a dictator himself.

I’m not defending Assad but it’s wrong of Obama to go on TV accusing him of these things when there’s really no proof or hard evidence of the chemical weapons.

He’s still trying to get away with Benghazi, Obama. That’s all there is to it, folks. When ever the American people continue to put the blame on Obama for Benghazi, Obama will try to find ways to get their minds off of it. No matter how hard Obama tries to get our minds off of Benghazi, we’re NEVER gonna get our minds off of the 9/11/12 attacks.

Hopefully, Vladimir Putin will help bring out the truth of Benghazi ’cause that would be awesome if he did. It seems like Putin wants to get rid of President Obama just like some of us.

Barack will be held accountable for Benghazi. It’s hard to get away with stuff like this. It may take a long time to prove that Obama was behind Benghazi but we’ll get him. Osama Bin Laden paid for what he did. The same for Saddam Hussein. Barack O’ will pay too. Just wait, it’ll happen.

I think this is my best solution to get rid of the hum sounds…

The best way to get rid of the nasty Ground Loop hum in this room is that I think I would need one of these, the Ebtech HumX. If I get one of those things, that would eliminate all the hum sounds for good, I think. I’ve been reading customer reviews of this thing and it’s been getting mostly positive reviews so it must really work well. I’ll have to think about ordering one of those sometime in the future. Instead of messing around with all this electrical work, I think this is the best idea. A lot of musicians use the EBtech HumX, it’s a pretty popular item.

Nicole Kidman hit by a photographer on a bicycle…

Nicole Kidman has been hit by a photographer on a bicycle as she was just heading back to her hotel room in New York City. I watched the video and it was a pretty nasty hit. The photog flew down on his bike pretty fast too.

Something needs to be done about the paparazzi ’cause they are getting way out of hand. Yes, celebs have had a problem with the paparazzi for many years but in this day and age, it has gotten a lot worse. While the paparazzi are pathetic losers who need to find a real job… there is nothing you can do about them. Why? Because these are public places and the 1st Amendment gives them the freedom to do these things. There are still ways to get rid of the paparazzi forever, though. I think the government needs to make tougher laws where it makes it illegal to take photos of celebs without their permission.

Celebrities definitely do deserve their space when they are out and about. They deserve to be treated like everyone else and be a part of this world. They deserve more freedom when being out in public more.

I love Nicole Kidman. She’s one of my favorite actresses. Glad she’s okay though and it’s a good thing she didn’t get injured… she could have.

Be careful with Vladimir Putin all, that guy is not to be trusted…

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president maybe trying to play peacemaker in this whole “United States vs. Syria” drama but you gotta be careful not to trust President Putin this quick. While it may seem pretty cool that he’s doing a good thing, I wouldn’t trust him. Vladimir Putin can be just as shady and evil. Putin and Obama are both very much alike. Vladimir Putin runs a corrupt government in Russia just as well. Why you shouldn’t trust Vladimir Putin this soon? Well for a couple of reasons… 1) This could be Putin’s way of saying, “Hey Syria, hand over those chemical weapons” 2) He could be playing peacemaker for his own political power and to help boost his ego.

Don’t know much about Vladimir Putin? Do your google research. Read his online biographies and you would see that Putin is no different than Obama. In fact, Putin is a lot worse. Vladimir Putin has a past of murder, he destroyed the Russian economy and many other crazy things. Even though a lot of people know that Putin is a bad guy as well — it’s understandable how people would think Obama is making Putin look like an angel.

Would Putin be successful at stopping Obama from attacking Syria? I wouldn’t be surprised ’cause whatever Putin wants, he gets. I mean, he threw the Pussy Riot girls in jail ’cause that’s what he wanted. Putin is a pretty powerful guy. I think there is a pretty good reason why Putin doesn’t want the US involved in Syria. It isn’t because Putin cares for the US (’cause I know he doesn’t). It isn’t because he wants to help us. It has something to do with Russian politics and their country. Kind of hard to explain but I think you’ll get where I’m getting at.

It’s a fact that Obama and Putin hate each others guts, though. Obama backing out from meeting him again is just proof of that. If Vladimir Putin is successful at stopping the US government from attacking Syria, then I’ll guess he will get my full support and respect. Just don’t trust President Putin this soon. You never know what Putin has planned.
