BREAKING NEWS: Warner Bros. studios buys Rocksteady Studios…

Warner Bros. studios officially buys, “Rocksteady Studios”. If you don’t know the company, “Rocksteady Studios”, it’s a video game developer that resides in London, England. As far as I know, “Rockysteady Studios” is a new company that the only video game they made so far, is “Batman: Arkham Asylum”. Since Warner Bros., now own “Rocksteady Studios” prepare for more “Arkham Asylum” games in the works. A sequel is already being developed.

Does this mean that “Rocksteady Studios” plan to make video games based on other Warner Bros. comic book characters? Will we see a “Superman” game on it’s way? What about a Green Lantern video game or Wonder Woman? Maybe even a Captain America video game? All of it’s possible!

I’m glad more “Arkham Asylum” games are being planned, ’cause the first one was totally amazing. One of the best video games I ever played.

Fast food fries unhealthy? It depends on where you’re getting it from…

Some people may think that fast food french fries may be too unhealthy and too fatty, the deep fried stuff, that won’t be good for your healthy nutrition but are they really that bad? The curly fries you get from “Arby’s” are bad… but what about fries from “McD’s”, “Wendy’s” and “Burger King”? Truthfully those fries are actually pretty good. Low in calories and fat is not too bad. As long as you eat small fries, it won’t ruin your fitness nutrition at all. So don’t listen to fitness experts that tell ya that “McD’s” fries are bad for your health ’cause they are full of it…

Not a Cool Video: What is going on with Lunic?

Check this out. Lunic’s recent performance a few days ago, performing “Oh No Yoko” with a new lineup (again). A band that I once had so much respect for and kind of starting to lose it. Their recent performances in youtube haven’t been that great and they still haven’t been good lately. I see they have a full band with a new bass player now. This performance is not as energetic as it used be. If I was at the Harrisburg, PA gig, I’d be sitting at the table falling asleep and yawning. Why? The performance was simply not tight. I can barely hear that cello. The cello in my opinion, is what’s killing the band’s energy they once had. Katiee’s vocals sounds like a 5 year old girl lately.

I will post Lunic’s older performance at Jillian’s of “Oh No Yoko” with their former lineup. Notice how their former lineup with Randy in the band, they were much tighter and more energetic? Notice the difference? Katiee’s vocals were much better at the Jillian’s performance.

I know Lunic wants to go far and go to the next level with their music. Maybe get signed to a label but they’re never gonna get to the next level if they don’t start performing with more emotion. I want to see a knockout in your face performance. Not the kind of performance that will bore me to death.

Report: Bruce Willis still on for “Die Hard 5” and “Unbreakable 2″…

Bruce Willis spoke out saying that he is still committed to playing in “Die Hard 5” and the sequel to the 2000 released M. Night Syamalan movie, “Unbreakable”. Bruce says he wants Len Wiseman to return to direct “Die Hard 5”. Len Wiseman directed, “Live Free or Die Hard”. As for “Unbreakable”, a sequel was in the works since the 1st one ’cause the ending to that movie left open for another movie. Bruce says he will be willing to star in “Unbreakable 2” only if Samuel L. Jackson is willing to return as well.

And here:

Lets hope “Die Hard 5” will be a better movie, ’cause I hated “Live Free or Die Hard”. I think “Unbreakable 2” will be interesting ’cause I liked the first one a lot. I usually hate M. Night Shyamalan flicks, but the “Unbreakable” flick is the only good movie he did.

Report: Neil Young doesn’t show for his own tribute for the Olympics…

Neil Young, who is a Canadian, didn’t show up for his own tribute show that he was booked to perform at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Since there was no sign of Neil himself there, other artists performed instead. Artists such as Lou Reed, Elvis Costello, and Ron Sexsmith performed covers of Neil’s songs there. I wonder what made Neil not show up for this? You think a man like him wouldn’t turn down such a huge opportunity that would have been a lifelong dream for him but he bailed out on this for whatever reason. Turning down something like the Olympics? Come on Neil, you think you’re too famous for the Olympics or what? Get your game on and support the Olympics, dude!

Cool Video: The Undertaker burned for real at “Elimination Chamber” ppv…

The Undertaker has always been known to sparking some kind of controversy with his WWE entrance to the ring. This time it’s for real. The Dead Man was on his way down to the ramp, to be part of the Elimination Chamber match at the ring. The Undertaker accidently stood on top of the pyro and flames went off while he was standing on it. This is real fire. It’s no special effect. The Undertaker got badly burned, his entire body, I would imagine. Guess what? Being the Dead Man he truly is, the Undertaker just walked toward the Elimination Chamber to continue the match as if the accident never happened.

I didn’t see the ppv last night, but I’m sure it was a pretty good one.

Interesting article on how the internet is changing the music business…

This is a great article on how the internet is changing the music business these days.

http://www.timesunion.com/ASPStories/Story.asp?StoryID=903207&TextPage=1

I would never have been playing shows out in the music scene if it weren’t for the internet. The internet was the reason that got me gigs in the past. With Itunes and Youtube, those also changed the music industry online. If you want to get signed to an indie label or major, it has been all about the internet these days. You can get a huge fan following online.

Like the article said, if it happened with Phantogram, it can happen with anybody.

Plus, with computer technology, you don’t even need to have a band to record songs anymore. There’s plenty of MIDI music software that almost sounds close to real instruments which I plan to do soon. I’ve been looking into getting some type of music software that gives you computerized band backup. That way I can make full band electric rock on my own at home since I won’t have a band right away.

The internet seems to be a new home for music these days, and honestly, the internet is where I’ve heard most bands from.

I remember in the earlier days during the 80’s and early 90’s when there was no internet, it was kind of hard to keep up with the music industry. Back in those days we had ad flyers, magazines, newspapers, etc. Now the internet makes promoting easier.

I have officially fallen in love with the electric guitar…

Geez, no wonder people get into this stuff so much. I have been playing a lot more guitar than ever, since I got my new electric. It’s got a great sound for an affordable price. I’m going to spend more time improving my playing so I can start jamming with other musicians. Fuck Guitar Hero and fuck Rock Band. Playing the real electric guitar is what it’s truly all about. It makes me wish I played electric guitar a long time ago. I don’t plan to be no virtuoso or shredder, I’m not gonna be Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, I just want to improve as a rock guitarist. I also plan to play a little blues and maybe even study some jazz. I’ve always listened to blues and jazz music, those genres can help improve your playing and improvising skills. I don’t want to be stuck playing basic and simple stuff all the time, as I’m always learning and studying new things.

It’s been 15 years now since I’ve been playing guitar and I’ve played acoustic for most of those years. I feel it’s time to change. Play electric in hopes of forming my own band or maybe even join somebody else’s band. I’ll admit that I never had any full band experience and I think I’ll want to start getting some soon.

My goal in guitar playing is to get better and take it more seriously.

Report: Billy Corgan finally squashes rumours of him dating Jessica Simpson, also talks wrestling, music and writing a book…

Billy Corgan, has been pretty quiet about the rumours of him dating pop star Jessica Simpson all over the web for a long while. Billy finally decides to speak out about it, squashing the dating rumours, saying they are just good friends, and that’s it. Jessica went to Billy for help on recording guitar parts for a TV show that Jessica is going to star in. Since then, Billy and Jessica developed a friendship.

Billy also talks about being a massive wrestling fan like myself, also talks music and writing a new book.

The question you have to ask is, when will Billy ever get himself a girlfriend and get himself married?

My answer is, he doesn’t have to if he doesn’t want to. In my eyes, you don’t really need a lover in your life to make your life a good one. You can be single for most of your life and still be a happy person. As long as you have music and other interests you like to do for a passion, that’s all that should matter to you. A lover will happen to you when the time comes. Whenever you think you’re ready to settle down. If music is all you want to do, that’s great.

Being with a lover will take your time away from the things you love to do as you have to rely on your partner all the time and Billy doesn’t want that. It’s seems that he wants his life to be as musical as possible. You don’t need to rush to get yourself a lover, and I am in the same boat as Billy. I’m not rushing for things as I’m happy being single currently. Stay single for as long as you want. Those that are desperate to get a lover and get married “early” are rushing things, in my opinion. You don’t need a lover by your side all the time to make yourself a happy person. I’m not that desperate about “love” and “relationships” as I’m just happy playing my guitar, working out, playing video games and watching movies or things like that.

Billy is the man, kudos!

Report: Fantasia afraid of threatening fan mail…

If you put yourself out as a public figure on the web or make yourself a celebrity in the entertainment business, you will get a mixture of love and hate by fans. That’s the way things are these days. I think Fantasia doesn’t have the thick skin enough to deal with this one. If you want to make yourself a public figure, you got to have a thick skin to deal with hate by the public. Ignoring it and not giving a shit what people think about you is the best way to go profesionally. Being defensive over things such as this goes to show how selfish and shady she really is, it shows that she thinks that she is important to herself.

As a musician, I received quite a bit of online hate myself. I learned over the years to not respond to it and not defend yourself. Just simply shrug it all off and be way above the haters. That’s the best thing to do if you want to play music and get your stuff out there.

I don’t think anything dangerous and nothing will harm, Fantasia over that threatening hate mail. Haters call musicians they don’t like, to go “die” all the time. Just don’t take it seriously like Fantasia did. I don’t see the guy that wrote that letter to her being a creep that is obsessed with celebrities, he’s just a guy that does what all the other haters online do, write negative things to famous musicians. I’m not defending him, but he do no wrong. This is part of the game with the music business and Fantasia still has a lot to learn.
