Report: New Eddie Guerrero DVD in the works…

WWE is currently working on a new DVD for Eddie Guerrero. According to reports the DVD will hit shelves everywhere November 11th of this year. Like the cover says it’ll be a 3 disc set, which I’m sure the 1st disc will be a documentary about Eddie’s life and wrestling career and the other two discs will be all his greatest matches of all time in it’s entirety.

The question you have to ask is, will Chris Benoit be on this? Although the WWE have been banning everything about Chris Benoit a wrestler who murdered his own family and killed himself in real life, I don’t think WWE will ban Benoit on the Eddie Guerrero DVD. Why?

Simply because Chris Benoit was a huge part of Eddie’s career. Chris may not have any interviews talking about Eddie on the DVD, but Chris will be seen in a lot of Eddie’s matches because Eddie and Chris performed a lot together over the years. So yeah, I think Chris Benoit will definitely be on. WWE will never make Chris Benoit his own DVD, but he may be on the Eddie Guerrero one, that’s about it.

It’ll be a good DVD and looking forward to picking it up when it comes out in Nov.

Report: Ben Stiller beats down Batman witih “Tropic Thunder”…

Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder” has just topped the box office this weekend, bringing Batman down to no. 2. Batman couldn’t stay no. 1 for the 5th week in a row, I guess. “Tropic Thunder” made a whopping $26 million.

The Associated Press reports:

I wouldn’t blame the “retard” content in the film only making $26 million that turned people off of watching the film. I think the main reason the film only made $26 million is that most people have been staying home watching the Olympics since the Olympics ratings have been so high. If the Olympics didn’t happen at all this year, I’m sure “Tropic Thunder” would have made a lot more.

Thought: Ric Flair had two matches here in the Capital District?

Last night, I watched the “Ric Flair Definitive Collection” 3 Disc set, not the entire disc yet, but I only watched the documentary on Ric Flair’s life and career on the first disc.

I knew Ric Flair had a match where he won his first WWE title at Royal Rumble 1992 in Albany, N.Y. but I didn’t know he had another match in Troy, N.Y.

In Troy, N.Y. Flair had a match with Terry Funk in a hardcore match called “I Quit”, it was taken place at the RPI Fieldhouse at Clash of the Champions PPV during the NWA days, that match was named to be one of Flair’s most classic matches.

You can watch the “Terry Funk vs. Ric Flair I Quit Match” in Troy, N.Y. at the RPI Fieldhouse on the videos below. The entire match is not on the DVD, they only showed some of it in the documentary. Here’s the whole thing right here. Enjoy.

Report: Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi marry officially in California…

Ellen Degeneres and now wife Portia De Rossi marry at an intimate wedding at their home in California. The small wedding ceremony only had 19 guests including friends and family of both Ellen and Portia’s.

Ellen was the first gay celebrity to announce marriage to her lover after California lifted their ban on gay marriage, George Takei followed suit a few days later.

BREAKING NEWS: Michael Phelps takes home 8th medal, breaks Spitz’s record…

I just knew the kid could do it. It was obvious it was going to happen.

The swimming races this year both women’s and men’s were such a thrill ride. I had such a blast watching the swimming races. It was almost like the Superbowl and Wrestlemania but even better!

Everytime you see Michael and Mark talk to each other on TV via sattelite since Mark is not allowed at the Olympics, Mark Spitz really is proud and so happy for Michael, there is no ego in Mark at all. Everytime you see Mark Spitz speaking on live TV, Mark has a huge smile on his face, that’s just a sign that he really is happy for Michael for real.

It’s too bad that Mark Spitz can’t be there live in person so Mark can watch Michael win the gold. Stupid Chinese.

Now that Michael is done with the Olympics this year, I’m sure the Olympics will go back down to ratings because everybody watched the Olympics because of Michael Phelps.

It was an amazing year. It makes you wonder how Michael is going to do the Olympics again in the future, he’ll probably do even better than this year.

Report: Yahoo! Users Top Rated Sci Fi films…

This is possibly the worst Top movies list I’ve ever seen online, check it out for yourself:

http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/collections/gallery/970/yahoo-users-toprated-scifi-films#photo0

Most of those films are not even science fiction flicks, there’s too many superhero movies on there that aren’t even science fiction films like “Iron Man” and “Spiderman”.

The only superhero movie that is true science fiction is the Superman movies, the Superman movies has always been known for science fiction. What’s even worse about this list is that there is not one Star Trek film in it.

Here’s what a real top 30 science fiction list should look like in my own opinion, my personal favorite sci fi flicks are here in no particular order:

Enemy Mine, John Carpenter’s “Starman”, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, 2001: A Space Oddysey, Blade Runner, Planet of the Apes (original), David Lynch’s “Dune”, The Abyss, Metropolis, Stargate, The Road Warrior: Mad Max 2, Dark City, Alien, Aliens, Gattaca, The War of the Worlds (original), Pitch Black, Space Camp, Cocoon, Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, Apollo 13, K-Pax, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Now there’s your true science fiction top list. Those who don’t list any of those films is not a true fan of science fiction.

Report: What about Bill? He ain’t afraid of no skydiving…

After going through a nasty divorce battle, it didn’t take long for Bill Murray to put his divorce with his latest wife behind him and move forward to have some fun! Bill Murray decided to go sky diving 13,000 feet in the air in Chicago, Illinois. He went with the US Army Golden Knights sky diving team.

He was real nervous of doing it but the man had a blast, he landed safely on a Chicago beach. At the beach a crowd was watching as celebrity actors were putting on musical performances such as Brady Bunch actress singing the National Anthem and Gary Sinise’s rock band, the Lt. Dan Band.

Bill Murray is a former star of Saturday Night Live and starred in many blockbuster films such as “Stripes”, “Ghostbusters 1 and II”, “Groundhog Day”, “What About Bob”, “The Royal Tennenbaums”, “Lost in Translation”, and the list can go on.

Report: Tom Cruise is now the main boss at United Artists studios since Paula Wagner departure…

Paula Wagner may no longer work for UA but that doesn’t mean Tom Cruise is out of the job. Tom Cruise is now the main manager/boss at United Artists film company that was runned by both Tom Cruise himself and Paula Wagner. United Artists is a film production company that is owned by MGM studios. Paula Wagner announced she is leaving the company and MGM studios has allowed Tom Cruise to take over the companies lead in his full control.

MGM is impressed with his work for the company and proud of his profesionalism.

More on it here:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=7&entry_id=29167

I see Tom Cruise using that company to release all of his new movies with, and he’s already doing that with “Valkyrie”. He’s only working there to help save his movie career since Paramount no longer wants him.
