About Melissa McCarthy as a Ghostbuster…

Bill Murray spoke about “Ghostbusters III” again and he revealed his choices for the 4 female Ghostbusters. Sorry to say but I don’t like Bill’s choices.

I may have picked Melissa McCarthy but I think to myself and I’m literally starting to have second thoughts about her as a Ghostbuster. Do you really wanna see a large 500 lb. woman in a Ghostbusters suit??? Plus, she is in her 40’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get her anyway since the new director for “Ghostbusters III” already worked with her in the past.

I’m still sticking with my own choices:

-Michelle Rodriguez
-Ronda Rousey
-Jennifer Lawrence
-Milla Jovovich

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/08/female-ghostbusters-bill-murray-_n_5786506.html

I think the female Ghostbusters should be hot and sexy if they want it to work.

It looks like Bill is not gonna be in it. Even though Bill has been saying positive stuff about the new “Ghostbusters” lately maybe he just feels he couldn’t make it without his friend, Harold Ramis?

Will I see the new “Ghostbusters” when it comes out??? Not sure yet. I’ll wait to see a trailer first and then I’ll decide.

I am a huge “Ghostbusters” fan, though. First one is a masterpiece, second one wasn’t good.

The two Benghazi books…

Well late last night, I purchased and downloaded the two Benghazi books for the Ipad. The books are “The Real Benghazi Story” by Aaron Klein and “13 Hours” by Mitchell Zuckoff. I plan on starting to read one of the books soon. I’m not gonna start these two books just yet ’cause I’m still reading a different book right now. The other book I’m reading (Wayne Allyn Root’s “Murder of the Middle Class), I will finish reading today.

Can’t wait to read the two Benghazi books. I’m sure it will be explosive and interesting. I’ll see what they’re takes are on the Benghazi attacks.

The 2nd Anniversary of Benghazi is this Friday and I got a little tribute coming. Of course, I’ll mention the Sept. 11. 2001 World Trade Center attacks as well, can’t forget that!

Phantogram, accused of plagiarism… I’m not surprised…

Portishead’s Geoff Barrow is accusing Phantogram of stealing a drum sample for their song, “When I’m Small”. I listened to both songs in the link and sorry to say, both drum samples almost sound exactly the same.

I’m not surprised that Phantogram would get accused of plagiarism at some point ’cause most of their songs sounds like other songs from other bands and artists.

Portishead’s Geoff Barrow Says Phantogram Ripped Him Off, Too

I don’t know why everybody likes Phantogram so much. So they’re from my hometown of Greenwich and everyone here is friends with them, so that automatically makes us have to like them? I don’t dig Phantogram. I find their music boring and unoriginal. They’re just trying to make pop music so they can make it in the mainstream. In order to be successful, they rip off songs by other bands so they can make it. They’re obviously desperate for fame.

I tried to get into this band and even saw them live once and they bored me to tears. I don’t know what’s so special about them, anyways. I tried to support Phantogram but it’s just their music is not my cup of tea. Their songwriting not good. Just my opinion and if other people don’t like it, I don’t care.

Don’t be surprised that more bands will start accusing them of plagiarism.

Never Get Rejected Again: Understand the Rules of the Game…

This guy’s channel is one of my favorite youtube channel’s. This guy Shogo Garcia is not really a dating guru. He teaches people in youtube how to socialize with people. Have good conversation and all that stuff. He does give dating advice with women but most of this channel, he focuses on conversation skills.

I figure this video deserves more views so I would share it here.

Over the years of my life, I’ve been rejected from women who I’ve had big crushes on and I’ve been friend zoned by some of them too. That’s probably why I gave up searching for women in the past ’cause I felt like a failure and felt terrible about it.

After watching this video, getting rejected is not a problem. This guy explains it’s a gift when getting rejected. It’s part of an experience. No matter what people say or think, you are still winning by living your life and breathing. Even if you get rejected and she says “No”, you’re not losing… you’re winning. He’s saying that you didn’t get rejected, you’re still part of the world.

So when I start searching for women again, I’m probably gonna continue to get rejected and get friend zoned a lot but I gotta learn to stop feeling guilty about it. I gotta accept it as a gift, know that I’m still living and breathing. I gotta learn to treat rejections more positively and feel proud about it.

Getting rejected and friend zoned is the name of the game. You’re gonna go through it a lot when searching for a date. I gotta learn how to be strong, deal with it and feel proud that I tried to ask her out. Even if I tried to ask her out and she said “no”, don’t feel guilty, it’s the right step in the right direction. I gotta keep going. Keep finding the woman who WILL want me in her life.

This was a really good video that I think you should check out. It’s a good message and I thank Shogo for this. He seems like a cool guy to hang out with!

“13 Hours at Benghazi” FULL INTERVIEW is here….

Here’s the full “13 Hours at Benghazi” interview that was aired on Fox last week. You all should watch this, the whole thing. Benghazi, a phony scandal, hey?

I’ll be getting those two Benghazi books for the Ipad too: “The Real Benghazi Story” and the “13 Hours” books… just had them pre-ordered so I’ll be getting them tomorrow.

Seriously, watch this and maybe you’ll start to see why Hillary and Barack are getting the blame for this. They’re totally responsible all the way.

Gene Simmons full Esquire interview with his son here…

Music fans are getting their panties in a bunch over Gene Simmons controversial “Rock is finally dead” comments. How much do you wanna bet that most of them didn’t read the actual interview itself before slamming the guy? I just finished reading the interview with Gene and his son at Esquire magazine.

Before bashing Gene Simmons, maybe you should read the entire interview and then you would understand what he’s saying.

Read it here:

http://www.esquire.com/blogs/culture/gene-simmons-future-of-rock

I think the interview is very interesting!

A lot of people are coming to a misunderstanding when he says that “Rock is finally dead”. He’s not saying that there are no rock bands anymore. That’s not what he’s saying at all. He knows that there are new rock bands today but what he’s saying is that they will no longer get the “iconic” and “legendary” status with the way the industry is going today.

Today, the industry have been giving the “iconic” status to fake pop-stars like Justin Bieber, Kanye, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Psy, etc. who are mostly manufactured by record labels. Those pop stars don’t write their own songs. It’s mostly the record labels that writes the songs in today’s mainstream these days.

Back in the old days when Hendrix, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Clash, etc. all came around they all got the iconic and “legendary status” ’cause they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments.

You know how legendary and essential albums like Led Zeppelin IV – Zoso, Pink Floyd “Dark Side of the Moon”, The Beatles “Sgt. Peppers”, The Clash “London Calling”, Hendrix “Electric Ladyland” are all important albums that we’ll never forget???

With the way the industry is going today, we’ll never get that essential classic again.

That’s what he meant when he said that, “Rock is finally dead”. When real rock bands and musicians get together and make albums that are huge and iconic that is rock n’ roll. Those days are dead and gone now.

People are accusing Gene of being behind of the times but he’s not. Yeah, there are rock bands today sure but most of today’s bands are manufactured and created by record labels too like Linkin Park for starters. Everything is created by the labels these days.

Gene just wants bands who writes their own songs and play their own instruments getting success in the music business.

I’m sure Gene is gonna get asked again about this in his next interview and I’m sure he’ll talk about it even more.

Read that interview I posted above, the whole thing. It’s good and Gene is so right on everything he said. I’m still siding with him.

How Obama got me heavily into politics…

During the Bush administration several years ago, I wasn’t all that crazy about politics that much. Back then I wasn’t all interested in politics and government stuff but up until the 2008 elections, that’s when I started getting into this stuff. So some of you may ask… how did Obama get me into politics? Well, simply put… I got into studying and reading politics/government stuff simply because of what’s Obama is doing to our homeland. I would think that’s the reason everyone else in America got into politics. Everybody pays attention to Barack Obama. His supporters and his enemies/haters or whatever you wanna call them both sides are paying attention to him. Even if the anti-Obama people hate his guts and despise the man, us anti-Obama people watches everything he’s doing anyways.

Why? We don’t do it ’cause we do it out of pure hate. We anti-Obama people pay attention ’cause we’re all simply scared to death of the man. We really are. Seriously, I’m fucking scared to death of Obama. We have a president who is purposefully destroying the economy and the middle class. We have a president who is killing and murdering innocent Americans and getting away with it. We have a president who is desperately trying to divide our country and turn us into a Muslim state. We have a president who is shredding our constitution to pieces. He makes up his own laws as he goes along and he is obsessed with these executive orders. We have a president who is funding terrorists and Syrian rebels. We have a president who is not even born in this country. This man is the least transparent president in the United States. We still don’t know a lot about the guy today ’cause he’s so mysterious, it’s crazy. He has too many scandals and crimes to count (like Benghazi, Operation F&F, NSA, IRS, illegal immigration, etc.)You expect us not to be scared of that?

In all honesty, I wouldn’t even label ourselves, anti-Obama or Obama haters. I don’t view ourselves like that. It would be better that we could be called, “patriots” who just love our country. That’s why a lot of us fight back at Obama.

When right-wing people in government, authors, radioshow hosts, celebrities, etc. try to fight back at Obama… we support them and join them in on the fight. We’re all just trying to get rid of Obama and get our country back. Paying attention to what Obama is doing to our country has got me into supporting people like Sarah Palin, Ted Nugent, Dinesh D’ Souza, Wayne Allyn Root, Dr. Ben Carson, Allen West, Glenn Beck, etc. Obama has gotten us into supporting those people I just listed… well at least us right-wingers support those people.

I’ve been reading a lot of books on politics and government lately. Not too long ago, I finished reading Dinesh D’ Souza’s book, “America” which was good. Over the weekend, I’ve been reading Wayne Allyn Root’s book, “Murder of the Middle Class” and I’m halfway through that book — that book is good too.

What I’m doing is trying to get myself well-informed of what Obama is doing to our country. To all those who constantly rejects everything that is said about Obama or continues to defend him, you should get yourself well-informed too. I’ve been trying to get myself well-informed about Obama since the 2008 elections. The man is so mysterious that I’m just trying to learn about Obama as much as possible.

Why? It’s because I’m simply trying to figure him out. Why is he here? How did he become president in the first place? What is he doing to our country and what his plans are? These are questions that I ask myself every day.

You guys can tell that I’ve been doing so much reading about Obama. I even read the two books that Obama claimed that he wrote himself: “Audacity of Hope” and “Dreams From My Father”. Even though I hate Obama, I thought those two books were an interesting read.

I pay attention to Obama it’s not ’cause I like him, no. I’m just trying to figure him out. That’s why a lot of right-wingers pay attention to him. It’s not because we’re obsessed with the man. We’re not obsessed with him at all. I repeat, we’re just scared of the man and trying to figure him out.

Even though I don’t like Obama, I’ll have to admit that this is pretty inspirational ’cause I learned so much about him over the years. He helped me understand politics more. Why do I see myself as a republican/conservative? It’s because Obama made me out to be that way.

I totally refuse to be on the left. I hate liberalism so much and I refuse to line myself up with corrupt people such as Obama, Hillary, Pelosi, etc. This team makes me want to hate liberalism.

I’m a believer and supporter of the US Constitution. I love the USA and I’m just doing whatever it takes to join in on the other patriots to help protect my home that I live in. We could all be dead under President Obama. Wake up, America.

People want me to stop talking shit about Obama all the time but I’m not resting until this man is held accountable. I’m not gonna rest until everyone in America sees what kind of man he really is. I don’t care what it takes.

We’re not the ones obsessed with Obama. The ones who are obsessed are the ones who go off on defending him all the time and pretending there’s nothing wrong with him. Those people make me sick too.

I read a quote in Wayne Allyn Root’s book, “Murder of the Middle Class”, that it doesn’t make us racist for calling out Obama. What’s racist is that people who voted for Obama ’cause he’s simply black are the ones who are racist and he’s so right.

I love America and will do whatever it takes to tell the truth. I don’t care how many people I piss off or offend. If I’m the only one who talks about Obama the way I do, so be it. I stick to my guns. That’s being a real American. Right-wingers aren’t the ones doing all the hate. The left are the most hateful people on this planet.

I really do hope we get rid of Obama soon. Benghazi should do it once the truth comes out. If nothing else will take Obama down, Benghazi should get him. There’s no possible way that he’ll get away with Benghazi. Anybody who thinks he’s innocent and harmless is delusional and needs their brain checked. The Benghazi investigations will be starting this month and I’m sure Trey will succeed and expose Obama over Benghazi. Give it time, folks. It’ll happen.

More about Gene’s “Rock is Dead” comments…

For those that are unaware of this, Gene Simmons said the similar comments back in 2012 on the Henry Rollins show but back then when Gene said it, you didn’t see it all over the headlines.

I think the only reason that so many people are shitting on Gene for his opinion on “Rock is dead” is because fans today know that he’s telling the truth. The truth may hurt but sometimes it needs to be said.

I mean, think about this, when was the last time you saw a rock or a metal band make a no. 1 album on the Billboard charts??? Black Sabbath made no. 1 with their latest record “13” but that’s about it. You don’t see too many rock or metal bands making no. 1 albums these days. Rock and metal bands try to make it high on the billboard but the billboard charts is always dominated by pop, rap, and country.

Sure, metal may be a strong genre today. Metal maybe selling out arenas all over the world but you don’t see any Metal albums making the Billboard Top 200 do ya??? Metal is still a struggling industry.

In the early 90’s Grunge and Metal was all over the mainstream, we’ll never get that again… simply because pop, rap, and country is a dominating force.

I do disagree with Gene on one thing, however, I disagree with him that the death of rock was because of piracy and illegal downloading. I blame the death of rock on MTV and maybe Itunes as well. Mainstream media is also the blame.

Sure, there are still rock bands in the mainstream industry but they are still “pop” bands like Nickelback, Linkin’ Park, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.

What Gene is simply saying is that he wants to see the next Led Zeppelin or Jimi Hendrix. Not Justin Bieber or Beyonce. He wants real musicians and real songwriters getting fame and success. Not manufactured pop stars.

I totally get what Gene is saying. It’s not that hard to understand at all.

Why local bands don’t need to rely on managers/promoters to get somewhere in music…

I understand that local bands and solo acts want to move forward, achieve your dreams and get some successes but you don’t need managers/promoters to do all that. I know some local bands around here rely on managers to do all the work for them like marketing, booking them shows, etc. Sometimes I can’t understand why bands need managers to move forward when they can simply do all that on their own.

I understand that when you’re on a record label like indie/major, you’ll need a manager but when you’re a local band… no. All these successful bands make claims that they got there with hard work and they claim they are a “do it yourself” band… well, when you get a manager/promoter… technically that’s not a “do it yourself”.

When I see bands that rely on mangers to get themselves out there, it gets me thinking that these bands know nothing about marketing. In reality, they’re lazy as hell on the promotion part so they hire someone else to do all the work for them since the band themselves know nothing how music works.

You see, I have seen plenty of successful bands that got to the next level without managers/promoters. They got there with good marketing strategies. They were the best at marketing. I do know that some local bands around Albany hire managers or a promoter… sometimes I even get e-mails from their managers asking me to review a project for my blog site.

In my opinion, I think some bands get managers ’cause they think they’re special. It’s their way of showing off to everyone how successful they are. Instead of having the band/artist themselves contact me directly, they have to have their manager/promoter do it. Why??? It’s because I just think that the band themselves think they’re too important. They think they’re too good to contact you directly if you know what I mean. I just look at managers/promoters as if they are the band’s personal assistant.

Bands don’t want to admit that they are lazy at promoting themselves so they have someone else do it. Marketing yourself without a manager isn’t that hard to do. You just gotta do some planning, thinking and research marketing & promoting skills of your music.

Once again, I’ve seen some bands get some great opportunities without the use of managers. It can be done. You just gotta learn and do the work.

In my opinion, I think bands having a manager is just pretty silly. They’re just playing rock star, that’s the only reason they have one. When bands & artists rely on managers, you gotta watch out for them.

I give the most respect to bands who do all the marketing and booking of gigs themselves. You can still go places with your music without relying on managers. Read and study the industry. You’ll be surprised of where your music takes you if you do all the work yourself.

Somebody finally says it, “Rock is finally dead”… thanks Gene Simmons!!!

Gone are the days when kids just want to look after their favorite rock stars and buy all of their albums and hang posters of them on their bedroom walls. These days kids are listening to stuff like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kanye, Justin Bieber, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, etc.

Gone are the days when kids want to pick up a guitar, learn a few chords and jam on pentatonic scales — then try to start their own band and play in their garages to try to score a record deal with a major label. These days kids are desperately trying to get fame by getting on garbage competition shows like: “The Voice”, “American Idol”, “America’s Got Talent”, “X-Factor”, etc.

Gone are the days when you want to see your favorite rock bands in large arenas so you can mosh to them, bang your head and raise some hell. These days large arena concerts are for teenagers and young girls so they can scream their heads off to their favorite boy bands or rap stars.

Okay, I think you get my point now. I’ve been saying for years on my blogs that “rock n’ roll” is dead. Rock tries to make a comeback in the mainstream but it is always dominated by pop, rap, and country. Today’s mainstream of music is shit.

I don’t buy new albums much anymore. It’s getting harder and harder to find good music these days. That’s why on my Ipod, you’ll find mostly older music like in the 60’s and 70’s. Sometimes 80’s and early 90’s. I don’t listen to new music too much. I only listen to new music if it’s good and something catches my attention. While I’m not a big fan of pop, rap and country… I can take a little bit of it.

I listen to all sorts of music. A little bit of everything but my no 1. preferred genre is rock n’ roll. I’ve listened to rock n’ roll my entire life so I know it’s a dying industry. It really is sad where the music industry has come to today. Thank you for telling it like is, Gene! \m/
