I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Thought: Why Tom Cruise doing his own stunts in action movies…

So why has Tom Cruise decided to do his own stunts for action movies like “MI IV: Ghost Protocol” (which I plan to see tomorrow afternoon)? Well the man’s obviously got something to prove. Maybe he’s trying to get the public’s respect back after all the negative backlashes he got in the media a few years back. I’m sure that’s not the only reason, there’s more to it then that.

Maybe he just wants it to be realistic, and he just wants to prove he can do everything for real. He doesn’t want to be looked at as a fake actor. All the risky stunts he did for this movie is pretty ballsy, especially for a dude his age. Maybe he’s fed up with all the stunt doubles and want it done for real, ya know?

Plus, he wants to show the world that he can be somebody, not just some Scientoligist idiot, jumping on Oprah’s couch. What ever it is, he’s definitely got something to prove.

I’ve never been this excited for a Mission Impossible movie ’cause I never cared for the first three. I’m actually excited as hell for “Ghost Protocol”. Looks like a great action packed ride. Looks fun.

Like him or not, Tom is a talented actor, he can do just about anything and he can play any role that throws at him. He’s done everything from bad guy to action hero. I like a lot of Tom Cruise flicks. “Risky Business”, “Top Gun”, “Rain Man”, “Legend”,”Collateral”, “Minority Report”, “Eyes Wide Shut”, and “Valkyrie” are some of my favorite movies of his. I hated his last movie, “Knight & Day”, though, that wasn’t a good one.

I’m looking forward to “Ghost Protocol” tomorrow, and of course, I’ll review the film when I get back.

Cool Video: Check out this great Lamar Gant interview…

I went looking for Lamar Gant stuff in youtube. and about 1:16 in the video, Lamar says, he has scoliosis, and he says that deadlifting is very good for the back, not dangerous at all.

This video looks like a pretty new interview. Lamar seems like a pretty nice guy.

I think I just became a fan, and can look at him for motivation and inspiration. This guy is helping me get motivated into fitness even more.

Bodybuilders with scoliosis…

A lot of people mistakenly think that people with scoliosis shouldn’t get into bodybuilding and weightlifting. Why do they think that? It’s because they have a fear of lifting heavy would damage the spine. They fear that lifting weights will make the curvature of the spine curve even worse. They also fear that it could break their backs with heavy lifting.

When I first started, I even had worries about all that stuff myself and started off with the safe and simple workouts before I got into all the challenging stuff like benching, leg press, and all that stuff.

I’m 4 years on in bodybuilding now, and I’ve never had any problems. The truth is, anybody can get into bodybuilding, no matter the body condition you’re in. I mean, hell, I’ve even seen guys in wheelchairs lifting weights in the gym, and old men on walkers too. Anybody can get into it.

I can understand why people with scoliosis have a hard time being accepted into the bodybuilding world. After a couple of years working out, I did get my x-ray done once just to check the spine of the rod to see if it got any more damage, but it didn’t get worse at all. It was still the same and fine.

Bodybuilding for people with scoliosis is pretty safe. I don’t think it harms the spine at all.

I mean, you have to look at Lamar Gant. Lamar Gant is a professional powerlifter, broke world records, and is in the Powerlifting Hall of Fame. Lamar is still alive as well. Even though he had a really bad curvature (look at pics in google), he was still able to become an amazing bencher and powerlifter. He became successful at it. So you have to say to yourself, “Hmmmm, if Lamar can do it, so can anybody”, right?

It’s all about finding the right workouts that is safe for you. I don’t think I’m going to do any squatting anymore, and I avoid deadlifting. Anything that looks risky and dangerous for my back, I won’t do.

So yeah, I know what is safe for me and what is not, so I’m all good. Anybody can get into bodybuilding. Doesn’t matter who you are.

The Bon Jovi death hoax today was hilarious…

Everyone should know about this hilarious blog post that was posted on a wordpress blog, today. About Bon Jovi being found dead. That blog post there was being posted all over facebook/twitter. Some people called it fake, and some actually believed it. To those who actually believed it, shouldn’t be allowed on the internet. Really? How can they actually believe everything posted on a wordpress blog where anyone can go on there to make stuff up? I believe that wordpress blog was trying to start a tabloid site. A site to make stuff up about celebrities. That post was nothing but a copy from Michael Jackson’s death, report.

It was only a matter of time that Jon Bon himself was going to respond somehow and he did earlier today by sending out this picture on facebook. Proving that he is alive and well.

I’m sure this wasn’t the first time he got the death hoax, I’m sure he’s got it plenty of times over the years.

On top of that, I can’t stand Bon Jovi, anyway. Always hated their music, and I don’t like Jon Bon’s singing. I only liked one Bon Jovi song which is “Blaze of Glory”, which is actually a good one, but the rest of their stuff, is not my cup of tea.

Writing and recording again…

All weekend I’ve been writing and recording. Feels so good to finally get motivated into songwriting again. Love it. What I plan to do is write a bunch of new originals, and pick the best ones to release publicly. I’m serious on my change of music. I plan to make my lyrics positive & more family friendly, that means getting rid of the swearing as well. Shorter lengths of songs, no longer than 7 minutes. Try to make my songs more catchier. See what kind of response I get.

All bands & musicians want to change & evolve as they go forward, the same goes with me. I want to change & evolve with my music too.

I probably going to get my new demo out sometime in 2012. Maybe sometime in the Spring. I want to make good music too that everyone can appreciate, so hopefully I get a better response to my songs, next time around. There’s going to be a lot more slow ballads, ya know, mellow stuff. Of course, there will be some upbeat acoustic rock.

So far, I wrote and recorded 4 new originals over the weekend and I’m proud of them. Believe it or not, I do have my own following of fans who actually do enjoy my music and that’s what I’m doing this for. It’s for them. The true fans. I do have supportive people who like my tunes. Not just other musicians, I get actual music fans too.

Cool Video: “The Dark Knight: Rises” trailer is finally here!!!

Oh my! This movie is looking pretty fuckin’ amazing. I loved the trailer. Bane’s voice is scary as hell. Could that character easily top Heath Ledger’s, Joker? Yes, definitely! I love Batman and I’m definitely looking forward to this movie. Hopefully, Warner Bros. will release Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” trailer, after this. Enjoy.

Actually, I was doing the T-bar rows the right way before…

At the gym today, I was doing T-Bar rows and this other guy came up to me and said I was doing it wrong. I was pretty sure, I was doing it right. I did it the way, Arnold’s Bodybuilding Encyclopedia told me to do it, you’re supposed to bend down halfway. This other guy told me to do it standing up with knees slightly bent and bend your back slightly, not all the way down. I look at other videos and websites, researching the correct way to do it, and it looks like I was doing it right way before.

That’s the problem with the gym, everyone has their own way of doing workouts. One person says you’re doing things wrong, is just their own opinion sometimes.

When people say you’re doing things wrong when you’re pretty sure you’re doing it right, then that means they are probably wrong, lmao. I was pretty sure I had the T-Bar row thing correctly. I did a lot of research on the workout before hand, I do my homework before I do a workout.
