TV shows, I enjoy watching…

Some people wonder what my favorite TV shows are. What do I watch on TV? Some of my readers may already know some of the stuff, but for the new blog readers, I thought I would name some of the TV shows I like to watch on TV currently.

You see, I don’t watch a lot of TV, like a lot of people do. Most TV is garbage. There are only several shows I enjoy on a regular basis. If I were to watch TV, I would watch at night. I spend most of my day working out or playing guitar.

Here are several TV shows, I enjoy watching that I am a fan of:

  1. The Walking Dead – The AMC zombie series is the greatest. I just picked up “Season 1” on DVD today and will be watching some of it tonight. I’ve already seen the whole season on TV. It’s actually a very well made show all around. Love this show! Can’t wait for Season 2 later this year!
  2. Friday Night Lights – Whenever a new FNL season is on, I’ll watch every episode, non stop. I absolutely love FNL. Such a great show and wish it could last a long time.
  3. Professional wrestling – WWE RAW/Smackdown/TNA Impact – As you all know, I’m a pro wrestling nerd. People find it weird and have criticized me for being a wrestling fan many times, but I don’t care. I like what I want. Pro wrestling is good theater.
  4. The Office (new one with Steve Carell) – I’m a huge “Office” fan, it’s another show, I watch obsessively. I don’t know if I will continue to watch or not when Steve leaves though. I can’t see the show without him.
  5. Parks & Recreation – Yes, I’m a huge fan of P&R. Why? Because the show is funny and I love Amy Poehler. She’s a cute and funny lady. I’m a  big fan of her, so what? Loved her past SNL work too.
  6. Celebrity Apprentice – Another show I watch every year. Even though it’s fake, scripted and acting, I find it entertaining and funny. I’m currently watching the new season too.
  7. UFC – Big UFC fan. However, I don’t watch every UFC ppv. I only watch UFC ppv’s only if I’m interested in the card.
  8. The Event – Another NBC show that I like. A sci fi drama show with good writing that keeps me interested on how the show is going to end. It keeps me watching every week for some reason.

That’s it. I’m not much of TV a junkie like a lot of people are. Although there are still a couple of older shows I want to catch up on, like “Dexter” and “The Sopranos”, I should be getting Netflix soon.

“Super 8” the mysteries of the trailer…

One thing for sure that JJ Abrams and Spielberg did a great job on keeping the new trailer mysterious. The plot haven’t been revealed quite yet. The trailer showed a few kids filming their own zombie movie with a video camera at a railroad track. A train comes by and crashes through a truck. Then they discover a US Airforce cargo that was on the train, not sure where it came from and they try to investigate it. Something was trapped inside the cargo and trying to get out. Keeping that “thing” a mystery. They wouldn’t show you if it was an animal, a monster or an alien, whatever that thing is.

At about 1:37 in the trailer, you can briefly see that “thing” in the trailer, if you look closely. So it’s obviously some kind of creature or an alien. The trailer makes it look like that the town is in danger of this “thing”. If you notice in the trailer, the kids try to find the “thing” themselves by filming a documentary of it. Look like Kyle plays the town’s Sheriff and look like his job is to protect the town from danger.

The trailer wants to make it look like the film is violent and dark, with this mysterious “thing” in the film. Is this “thing” evil or actually friendly? There are too many questions that need to be answered. Once we actually see the film, I’m sure the film will be much different than the trailers we’ve seen.

Knowing that Spielberg is part of this film, I just hope this film won’t end like “Close Encounters” or “E.T.”. We’ve had enough of those endings where the aliens go back out in space. I hope the ending for “Super 8” will be different.

Most movie trailers make films so predictable, but this one is mysterious. They did a great job with the trailer, leaving us having no idea of what the movie is going to be like. Spielberg have done so many movies about aliens over the years, I’m hoping this one will be something different. I’m hoping the “thing” in this film will be evil and scary looking. Spielberg had enough family friendly aliens, hope this one will be a mean one.

It might not be an alien or a monster at all and the thing won’t even exist in the film. We’ll just have to wait and find out what it is when the film comes out in June.

Report: “Batman: Arkham City” video game release date set for Oct. 18th this year!!!

“Batman: Arkham City”, the release date have been announced today. The game will hit stores in the US, on Oct. 18th of this year.

Can’t wait! The first one, “Arkham Asylum” was very impressive, probably the best Batman game ever made, so far. I’m sure the next one will be even better, so looking forward to playing the next one. I will buy the next game as well.

Cool Video: New “Super 8” trailer with more footage from the film hits the web!

The JJ Abrams directed, Steven Spielberg produced sci-fi movie, “Super 8” have just hit the web this morning. It surfaced on twitter. The trailer is still keeping the monster or alien mysterious as you can see here.

The movie looks very cool. I’m happy for Kyle Chandler that he’ll get the recognition he deserves. I’m there in theaters when it comes out, June 10th. Hope it’s a good movie.

Report: Chuck Lorre is quick to respond to Charlie Sheen’s $100 million dollar lawsuit…

Well, that was fast! Just when Charlie Sheen filed the big lawsuit today, Chuck Lorre’s lawyer responded immediately by sending a statement to the, Hollywood Reporter.

I agree with him, I’m still siding with Lorre. Charlie’s just an insane, psychopathic, maniac, reckless ranter. That’s it. Plus, Charlie is too money hungry. Money is all Charlie seems to care about. Think about it: the “Winning” t-shirts he plans to sell, the new Tigerblood drink, the lawsuit, the interns, he gets paid for twitter/facebook, etc. Charlie IS all about the money.

I know I said on twitter, that I’m on Team Sheen and support him as a fan, but I take that back, and change my mind. I just realized that Charlie is really whacked in the head. All those fans that support Charlie, actually thinks he’s a good guy, but really Charlie is an asshole.

As you can see in Chuck’s statement, he still supports Charlie. He was fired from “Two and a Half Men” because Chuck was scared for his health. Sheen thinks Lorre is attacking him when it’s not. It’s all about the safety of his health. That’s why he was let go. It wasn’t about Charlie’s rant on the Alex Jones radioshow. It seems that Charlie is mentally ill and the drugs seems to be causing it. Just more evidence that Charlie isn’t really clean and he’s not yet a 100% from the alcohol.

Just wait until this trial happens. The judge will agree that Charlie Sheen is mentally ill and Chuck Lorre will win the dismissal. Charlie will need to prove how Chuck is using his ego to fire him. Which will be hard to do.

Responding to a certain other blog…

There’s this certain other blog that talks health and fitness and he says he wants three different things to be worked on more.

Here’s what he said:

*Abs:a pretty common problem area for men AND women. I have some some decent muscles here, but they are buried beneath a bit of fat still. Plus my lower back problems don’t help.

Brock says: Only way to get abs is burn the fat that’s covering it! Good nutrition and cardio, man! That’s how I got visible abs. Eat strictly healthy meals on a weekly basis and do plenty of cardio, you’ll lose the fat in no time. Gotta lose the bodyfat in order for it to show. I believe when you get down to 7% – 14% bodyfat, the abs will start showing. You won’t get abs, doing ab exercises alone. Many men and women have that problem because they waste more time doing ab exercises instead of eating right and cardio.

*Chest: still got some good old “man boobs” going on. If I had a bench press and could do some good old decline presses, this would firm right up. However, since I don’t, I need to find an answer elsewhere.

Brock says: If you don’t have a bench press, you don’t need one! There are plenty of ways to improve your chest. Just get a cheap small set of dumbbells and you can do dumbbell presses on your floor at home or do dumbbell flies for chest. Plus, push ups is an important exercise that will beef up your chest. Decline presses will just work your lower chest. If you want to improve your chest,  you need workouts that will work your entire chest overall.

*Arms: more particularly forearms. Even more specifically, I want to work on my gripping power.

Brock says: You can do forearm workouts with just regular dumbbells, I know a few of them. Maybe I will make a video on that soon. Just a word of advice, you don’t want to do forearms workouts all the time. All the arm workouts you do, are working your forearms anyway, so no need to worry about forearm exercises. If you do too many arm workouts along with the forearm stuff, that would be over training your arms and your forearms would look like Popeye The Sailor Man. I do forearm workouts on dumbbells once in a while, but it’s not good to do those all the time like I said.

You just need to ditch P90x, which is a waste of money.

BREAKING NEWS: It’s official! Charlie Sheen vs. Chuck Lorre is on!!!

I’ve posted all these photos above just to show you their “past” friendship between Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre. Yes, Charlie and Chuck used to be friends as you can see, but not anymore.  Charlie was the one who helped Chuck with the Hollywood walk of Fame and they spend a lot of time together while working for, “Two and a Half Men”.

Today, Charlie Sheen filed a $100,000,000 dollar lawsuit against Warner Bros./Chuck Lorre. The lawsuit is accusing Lorre of using his ego to terminate Sheen from his contract and many other things.

Read the full story here at, TMZ.

Ouch! Good luck with that one, Charlie! How many more bridges is Charlie going to burn? Does Charlie have to be this money hungry? I’ll be interested to see how this one is going to end so I’ll be keeping an eye on this news.

Who do I predict will be um, “winning”? I’m siding with Warner Bros./Chuck Lorre. I see a big counter suit coming.

Why do you need to be such a big drama queen, Charlie? If you think for one second that Charlie will win this thing, then you are just as delusional and whacky as him. I hope Charlie loses terribly. He won’t get a penny off this. Seriously.

I would like to start a Blu Ray collection but…

I love Blu Ray discs. I would love to start collecting them. If I did, I would only buy the movies on Blu Ray’s that are my favorite films. The reason is, Blu Ray movies are very expensive. As a matter of fact, I have already started a Blu Ray collection but only own 2 so far. They are “WWII in HD” and “Memento – The 10th Anniversary Edition”. I didn’t buy “Memento”. It came to me in the mail for free, since I helped promote this company that wanted me to spread the word about the “Memento 10th Anniversary” screening. The company gave me two copies of the “Memento” Blu Ray. One to keep for myself, and the other to give away for a contest for my site, which I will plan something soon. I will play a trivia game on any random Christopher Nolan movie. Not just “Memento”, any of them. The first person gets the questions right will be an immediate winner of the Blu Ray. I will start this contest very soon, just got to plan out instructions, rules, and questions.

Yes, sometimes movie companies mail me free things after helping promoting for them in this blog. I don’t do this blog for money, but I don’t mind getting free DVD’s or Blu Ray’s from  movie companies which has happened before. I got a free “Family Guy – Season 6” box set for helping them promote the 100th episode in this blog.

See, this is another reason I blog. Hoping to attract the attention of the  movie business and Hollywood, and it’s slowly working. This is one of the reasons I don’t give up what I do. My goal with this site, is I hope this site will be more like “Deadline.com” or “AICN”, yes, I’ll admit it, I’m kind of competing with them a little bit. Hoping this site will one day get national exposure. I’m not afraid to say that.

I’ve even gotten “Exclusive” news items like once or twice before in the past.

Back to the topic of Blu Ray’s, while I would like to start buying them someday, that still doesn’t mean I will give up DVD’s. I will continue to buy DVD’s if I want to blind buy a movie I haven’t seen which I continue to do. Blu Ray’s are very nice and impressive, definitely better than DVD, but they are too pricey, but the price on Blu Ray’s are fair since I’m sure it was pricey for them to make.

I will videotape the “Memento” contest, so I can prove that a movie company really did sent me this. It will come soon.

RIP: Mike Starr 1966 – 2011

Alice In Chains, the legendary Seattle grunge band, have lost another one. First they lost their important front man, Layne Staley, and now they lose their long time bassist, Mike Starr. Mike was one of the founding members of Alice in Chains, he played in the band from when they first started all the way ’til, 1993. Mike Starr left Alice In Chains due to his drug addiction and wanted to get clean by joining the cast to Dr. Drew’s reality show, “Celebrity Rehab” on, Vh-1. Mike Starr was found dead yesterday, in Salt Like City, his cause of death haven’t been announced yet, but everyone is speculating that it could be a drug overdose.

Alice In Chains is one of my favorite bands of all times. I feel bad for Jerry and the guys in AIC, that they have to go through another death when they just lost, Layne. Sad news. RIP Mike Starr. Sad loss in the music industry.
