Hmmmm…it sounds like Robert is going for another huge blockbuster hit, and this sounds like a family popcorn action flick as well. I can’t blame him since after the huge success of “Iron Man”.

Have I got the feeling that Ron Howard will direct this flick too?

Report: The Incredible Hulk does well in box office this week…

“The Incredible Hulk” starring Edward Norton did a whopping $54.5 million on it’s opening weekend. It did not top Ang Lee’s version of “Hulk” but still the Ed Norton version did well.

The Associated Press Reports:

http://apnews.excite.com/article/20080615/D91ALNU00.html

I plan to see it soon, it’s been getting positive reviews that this version is much better than the crap Ang Lee version.

Plus, the main reason why I want to see it is because my favorite actor Ed Norton is in it. It’s about time he’s got a huge role, it’s been a long time coming. That man has been an underrated actor for years and he’s been struggling, it’s about time he’s got the star power recognition he deserves! I love all of Ed Norton’s movies, yep, I’m a loyal fan of his work. “American History X” and “Fight Club” are two of his best films.

Thought: 5 movies that need to be made into videogames…

With all these movies turning into videogames like “Iron Man”, “The Incredible Hulk”, “Prince Caspian”, etc. I thought I would name my choices that need to be made into videogames.

Rambo – Yep, the new Rambo movie needs to get made into a videogame. “Rocky Balboa” got made into a videogame for the PS2 but there’s not yet a videogame made for Rambo 4 for the PS3/Xbox 360. I really think they should make one. I don’t want it just to be a first person shooting game, there’s too many of those games. I would make the new Rambo game an action adventure type, a storyline type of videogame where you have to rescue Rambo’s medical team from the Burmese army. Make a Grand Theft Auto style type of game. It would be a great videogame if done right. And of course, Sly doing the voiceovers for Rambo in the videogame too would also be sweet.

Dirty Harry – We need a Dirty Harry videogame, I think it will make a sweet videogame, make it based on all the Dirty Harry films.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon – Imagine how this Ang Lee’s martial arts flick would make a kick ass action/adventure fighting game, this game would work if it gets made. This would be a lot of fun to play.

Kill Bill – The Quentin Tarantino action flick starring Uma Thurman, would make a sweet videogame if we can play this character Uma plays.

The Oceans Eleven series – The movies based on the Rat Pack robbing casinos would make a great challenging and fun game to play if made right. Imagine how cool it would be to figure your way into the casino where the money vault is, then you have to make your way out without getting caught. I think it would make quite a game and would be cool.

Hope you enjoy the list. I might come up with more if I can.

Thought: Dirty Harry…I forgot how great this film really is…

I finally got around to watching the first “Dirty Harry” film on DVD last night. I know I’ve seen the film before, but I only watched it a few times a long long time ago so I couldn’t remember what it was about. The film is one of the greatest action movies ever made, in my opinion. Eastwood is the king of cool catchphrases when he speaks his lines.

After seeing this film makes me think how much I miss seeing Eastwood in a leading role and he is soon to be finally coming back to leading roles in his recent announced film “Gran Torino”, whether he brings back Dirty Harry in that film or not, either way, it’s still gonna be badass seeing Clint in a leading role again, I can’t wait for “Gran Torino”. I hope “Gran Torino” will be an action movie, not some sad drama movie that Clint’s been making these days.

Report: Warwick Davis says he’s down for “Willow 2”!!!

Warwick Davis the star of the original “Willow” film which was directed by Ron Howard and George Lucas created the story, revealed that he is down for another “Willow” film if a sequel ever gets the chance of greenlighting.

Warwick says he’s already got an idea for the sequel, he says the baby he rescued from the first one is all grown up and he reunites with Mad Martigan in the sequel. Warwick also says he wants lots of action and fun stuff just like the original but with more CGI effects.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

Another movie that deserves another sequel! I never thought of Willow!

I doubt George Lucas would be up for another one, but maybe Ron Howard will want to do another one, who knows?

It would be great to see Kilmer back as Mad Martigan though, I loved that character in the film.

Lucas should do a sequel to Willow, it would do great and would be successful.

Report: Clive Barker’s “Midnight Meat Train” straight to DVD?

Lionsgate studios is revealing that Clive Barker’s adaptation to “Midnight Meat Train”, a horror film about a New York photographer who hunts down a vicious serial killer that hides corpses on a subway train could possibly be getting a straight to DVD release.

After all the heavy promotion and hype for this flick, Lionsgate dropped the bombshell that this film is only being shown in a 100 theaters, then they are quickly releasing it to DVD after. A small limited release when they originally intended to release it nationwide everywhere.

More on it here:

http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=6499

Sucks to see it go straight to DVD. Just because movies go straight to DVD doesn’t always mean it’s bad. I think the film actually looks pretty good.

As you all know, I fucking love horror films and horror fiction. I’ve been huge on horror fiction my entire life. I love scary movies, blood guts and gore, anything scary, I grew up on the horror genre. But this film looked kind of cool after seeing the trailer a couple of times. For those who haven’t seen the trailer. Watch the youtube below.

For those who think this title of the movie is crazy and silly, hey, this is Clive Barker we’re talking here, and he’s always coming up with weird and silly things, this guy has a whacked imagination.

Report: Italian-American group to Spike Lee, “Oh yeah, well listen to this…”

An Italian-American group has been watching closely to the Spike Lee vs. Clint Eastwood fued so they want him to practice what he preaches of being anti-Italian. The group has criticized Spike Lee about being anti-Italian in his films before.

FOX News reports:

Maybe this will shut Spike up now. I doubt it though.

Thought: Now I wish Darabont’s version of Indy IV was made instead…

I can’t believe this. I’ve just read a review from Frank Darabont’s scrapped “Indy 4” script by Lucas. Frank Darabont’s version is titled “Indiana Jones and the City of Gods”, but it basically had the same plot where Indy have to save the Crystal Skull from the Russians. In David Koepp’s version, many of the scenes in the current Indy film were stolen from Darabont’s version.

One thing I want to point out though, that Mutt Williams played by Shia wasn’t in Darabont’s version but everything else you see in the new version is Darabont’s creation. This makes me want to hate George Lucas even more.

I loved the “Crystal Skull” movie don’t get me wrong, I think it would be a better film if they used Darabont’s script in the first place.

http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/686188/Review_Darabonts_Indiana_Jones_IV.html#readmore

Why the hell would George Lucas say no to Darabont’s script and then says yes to Koepp’s when both are basically the same exact story and has the same exact scenes?

But nope, George liked the Mutt Williams character to give it a Star Wars feel. The Darabont version sounds better.

Darabont should sue Lucas. I’m serious and hope he does.

Report: Will Jack Black do “School of Rock 2”?

MTV reported that Jack Black said he’d love to do a “School of Rock” the sequel but he will only do it with the original director Richard Linklater. Meaning if Richard Linklater agrees to do the sequel, Jack is definitely down. There are no plans of making a sequel to “School of Rock 2” but Jack has hinted there is a draft script in the works, no word if original screenwriter Mike White (who also had a role in the film) will return as the writer.

Jack Black is the current star of the animated film “Kung Fu Panda” out in theaters now.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

Bring on the sequel to “School of Rock”!!! I think it deserves one! As long as they have the same cast and crew for the sequel, I’d definitely see it.
