Video: Macaulay Culkin reprises his role as Kevin McCallister from “Home Alone”…

You never thought Macaulay Culkin would reprise his role as Kevin McCallister from the two “Home Alone” movies he starred in. The role that shot him to national fame. The role that made him an iconic child movie star. Here he is playing the character again.

It’s for a web series called DRYVRS which is exclusive for youtube.

As you can see Macaulay is still a good actor. Macaulay still acts for big screen movies but not as much as he used to. He doesn’t work for Hollywood all that much anymore ’cause why? When he was a kid, he was making plenty of box office hits like “Home Alone 1 & 2”, “Uncle Buck”, “My Girl”, “The Good Son”, “Richie Rich”, etc. Macaulay made so much money from those movies and I’m sure he’s still getting paychecks from those movies. He doesn’t need to work as much anymore. That’s probably the reason why he no longer wants to work on big budget movies anymore.

He’s still a great actor though and you can see that here.

Happy “The Force Awakens” release day…

Yes, so “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is finally here!

Will I see it today or later tonight? Nah. I just bought tickets to see it this coming Sunday afternoon so I can try to avoid the large crowds. There’s probably gonna still be large crowds even on a Sunday but hopefully not. While I love going to the movies, I don’t like going into the theaters that is full of people. That’s why I mostly go to the movies during the day ’cause it’s not as packed and not as noisy. I like watching movies in the peace and quiet.

I’ll be seeing this film for the BTX screening and will be seeing it in 3D. BTX screening meaning that the movie screen is huge and bigger sound system too.

I’m looking forward to the movie, though. Can’t wait.

“Star Trek: Beyond” looks like complete trash, hope this is the last of the reboot series…

I really don’t like how Star Trek has become sci-fi & action movies. They were never supposed to be popcorn action films but thanks JJ Abrams, he ruined Star Trek, in my opinion.

Star Trek was never supposed to be action and popcorn movies to begin with.

They’re really about space exploration, the drama and politics. Go back and watch the original Star Trek and TNG, that’s what Star Trek is supposed to be, in my opinion.

Anyway, I hope this will be the last film of the reboot series with the young cast. They need to ditch this series and reboot it again. Create something original. I hope this will be the last of the reboot.

“Star Trek Into Darkness” flopped in the box office hard and this one will too.

“Straight Outta Compton” BluRay announcement for a release of Jan. 19th…

This movie was such a brilliant movie. Loved it too much. In the past, I wasn’t such a big fan of rap & hip hop and this movie made me want to get into the genre more. Because of this movie, it made me a fan of the rap group the N.W.A, and I couldn’t stop listening to their “Straight Outta Compton” album since then. It’s such a great album and now I see why those guys mattered.

I’m definitely getting the movie on BluRay and you should check it out yourself. Buy it or rent it or whatever.

You’ll understand rap music after this. I was never that big of a fan of rap & hip hop until this movie. This movie made me appreciate the genre more.

Sylvester Stallone nominated for Golden Globe! YES!!!

This year will definitely be the year that Sly will win a bunch of awards for playing Rocky Balboa. Seriously, Sly winning awards for his acting talent is long overdue. He should have won a bunch of awards for the first Rocky movie ’cause Sly’s performance in the first Rocky movie was amazing as well but his performance in “Creed” was even better, though!

Winners & Nominees

I’m very happy for Sly for finally getting noticed for his acting talent. Once again, over the years in his career, people always criticized him. Claiming that Sly doesn’t have any acting talent but they say he is only recognized for being an action star. Well, I believe Sly finally silenced his critics and showed them that he does have acting talent.

Sly will win a Golden Globe and then he will finally get his Oscar award. It’s Sly year, y’all!

Film Review: Creed

Starring: Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone

Directed By: Ryan Coogler

So today I decided to see the film, “Creed” the newest Rocky film which is a spinoff from the Rocky series so technically this is “Rocky 7″… a continuation of the Rocky franchise.

Plot/Synopsis: Adonis Johnson is the son of the famous boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died in a boxing match in Rocky IV (1985). Adonis wasn’t born until after his father’s death and wants to follow his fathers footsteps in boxing. He seeks a mentor who is the former heavyweight boxing champion and former friend of Apollo Creed, the retired Rocky Balboa. Rocky eventually agrees to mentor Adonis. With Rocky’s help they hope to get a title job to face even deadlier opponents than his father. But whether he is a true fighter remains to be seen….

Even though Sylvester Stallone wasn’t involved in directing in this movie at all, still though, I’m sure Sly helped Ryan Coogler on a lot of stuff. I’m sure Sly gave Ryan a lot of advice on directing since Sly is a director himself. The “Creed” movie still had the similar feeling of the earlier Rocky films. “Creed” was more similar to the first Rocky. Not exactly a remake but very similar. I think “Creed” wanted to pay homage to the first Rocky film and they did a great job.

I’m not a big fan of Michael B. Jordan but the guy just got more respect from me after seeing this film. He’s the obvious choice to play Apollo’s son ’cause Michael looks almost like Carl Weathers. This film wasn’t just a homage to the first Rocky film, it also wanted to keep the legacy of Apollo Creed alive which is the whole point of the film. This film wasn’t about Rocky Balboa at all, this film is about the Creed family. It wanted to celebrate Apollo’s legacy. Rocky had to be a part of this story or else it wouldn’t work.

I thought the film was beautiful. It was definitely the best Rocky film of the whole franchise. The whole film was wonderfully directed. Beautifully acted by the cast and the script was perfect. No complaints at all from me.

Of course, I was most impressed with Sly’s performance ’cause this was his best performance in his career, in my opinion. Like I said before, I always knew that man had acting talent. Sly’s a good actor, he always has been and I think he silenced all of his critics with this one. Yep, I think it’s definitely time that Sly should get his Oscar for playing Rocky, absolutely. It’s long overdue like I said before. Seriously guys, Sly was amazing in this movie, you gotta see it for yourself. I think he’ll finally get his Oscar for this movie. If the Academy snubs him then I’m gonna be pissed and will never watch the Oscars again. There’s a pretty good chance that this is Sly’s time to get an Oscar.

The question you have to ask is, will there be more “Creed” films? Yes. There will be definitely be a sequel and I think Sly as Rocky will be back for “Creed II”. “Creed” is the new series. I think they want Rocky to become the new Mickey is the whole point.

I think “Creed” was amazing and definitely one of the best films of this year. It’s a must see for all Rocky fans. If you’ve never seen the Rocky movies before, I’d suggest you do or else you wouldn’t understand who Apollo Creed is.

Score for “Creed” = 5 out of 5 as in “Excellent”

Is it finally time to give Sly Stallone his Oscar for playing Rocky? I’d say yes! It’s long overdue!

I really meant what I said that I’m very happy for Sly that he finally got recognized for his acting talent. I haven’t seen “Creed” yet but I’m planning on seeing it tomorrow.

Everybody’s always criticizing Sly for his acting talent. Making claims that he’s mostly well-known as an action star but many feel that he isn’t the greatest actor.

I always knew this man has acting talent. He’s even a talented actor in the action movies ’cause I thought he did a great job playing Rambo and movies like “Cliffhanger”, “Assassins”, “Tango & Cash”, “Cop Land”, “Cobra”, etc.

Sly never won an Oscar before but he did get Oscar nominated for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay for the first “Rocky” film. Yep, I feel it’s finally time to give him his Oscar so I hope the Academy does the right thing.

Yep, Sly’s a talented actor, I always saw that. It’s time to finally see that and silence all of his critics.

Congrats Sly! Well deserved, man! \m/

Right-wing community goes nuts over Leo Dicaprio bear rape scene in “The Revenant” movie…

Come on people, it’s just a freaking movie, geez! I find nothing wrong with the bear scenes in “The Revenant” and like I just said, it’s a movie. I repeat, JUST A MOVIE!

This is just another example why the right-wing community has been driving me crazy as of late. They can be just as bad as liberals. The right-wing community has been outraged over this thanks to Matt Drudge and his big mouth.

http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/dec/02/studio-denies-report-that-leonardo-dicaprio-raped-by-bear-in-the-revenant?CMP=fb_gu

I think “The Revenant” looks awesome and I’ll proudly go see it when it comes out in Jan.

Harrison Ford says he enjoyed watching “The Force Awakens” early screening…

I’m pretty sure Harrison never watched himself in the original Star Wars trilogy when they first came out in theater but Harrison said he saw an early screening of “The Force Awakens” and said that he loved it. When Harrison said he loves it, I think he really meant it not because he’s in it. Of course, you would think that actors would love their own movies that they star in but not always. If Harrison says it’s good then it probably is good. He wouldn’t have done the movie at all if he knew it wasn’t good.

Even though he saw “The Force Awakens” first before the rest of us, he won’t say whether or not Han Solo and Leia are married (I’m sure they are).

It’s also nice to hear that Harrison is still interested in playing Indiana Jones again even though he didn’t confirm the role yet.

There’s a lot of people in social networking criticizing Harrison and they are saying stuff about Harrison getting onto to this movie for the money. Well, if you listen to Harrison toward the end of the interview when talking about Indiana Jones, Harrison made it perfectly clear that he’s not about the money. He was never about the money when making movies ’cause he’s probably in it for the passion, ya know? Acting is what he loves doing. He’s made plenty of movies over the years where he didn’t get paid much and made movies that bombed in the box office so there’s proof that he’s not about the money at all. Once again, acting is his passion and it’s what he loves to do.

Only thing though, Harrison is talking like that Han Solo might get killed off, you can see it in his eyes that something might happen to Solo. He tried to get George Lucas to kill Han Solo off in “Return of the Jedi” but they might be using that idea for “The Force Awakens”. Will Han Solo die in “The Force Awakens”? We’ll have to wait and see. The internet better not spoil the movie for all of us if he does die, though ’cause I’m feeling those spoilers will be all over the place. *sigh*

NBR names “Mad Max: Fury Road” as Best Film, it could win Best Picture at the Oscars as well…

The NBR has released their Best of list this year and they picked “Mad Max: Fury Road” as their choice for Best Film of 2015. Could it also win “Best Picture” at the Oscars as well? Anyway, I disagree with everyone saying that this is the best film ever ’cause I went and saw it myself earlier this year. I didn’t think it was all that great. Not because of all the feminism stuff that are in the movie, I didn’t like it ’cause it wasn’t a good movie. I didn’t like Tom Hardy as Mad Max.

Even though the Academy was never that friendly toward violent movies, it’s probably gonna get the nomination for Best Picture as well so expect “Mad Max: Fury Road” to pick up the most nominations.

I’m very happy that the NBR gave Sylvester Stallone the nod for “Best Supporting Actor”, though. Stallone deserves to get recognized for his acting talent. Stallone is mostly known as an action star yes but give him the right film, he can show his real acting chops. I haven’t seen “Creed” but gonna go see it on Thursday when I do my Christmas shopping.

As far as “Mad Max: Fury Road” goes, maybe I should give the film another look and maybe it’ll grow on me the second time… who knows?
