What is Chewie screaming about in this new “The Force Awakens” still???

Edit to add: Actually this still isn’t from “The Force Awakens” at all. It’s a still from the “Empire Strikes Back” when Chewie got mad that the door closed ’cause Han Solo didn’t come back to base. My bad. I remember that scene too.

Akira is Christopher Nolan’s next big trilogy? Is this his secret Warner Bros. project?

This is pretty cool if true. Chris Nolan’s top secret Warner Bros.project maybe the live action trilogy to “Akira”… the famous Japanese anime series. It’s not yet known if Chris will be the director or not. He might just serve as a producer but it would be cool if he directed them, though. I’ve never seen Akira but I should check it out. I’m not into anime that much. If he directed them, I’m sure he would make them fun and exciting.

I wish the scary vampire movies would make a comeback, don’t you???

11986472_416752565190236_3413734319701861794_n

I miss the old days of Vampire films. I’m talking about the scary vampire flicks. What happened to the Vampire genre in film today is just sickening. In the old days we had vampire movies such as “The Lost Boys”, “Fright Night”, “Near Dark”, “Vamp”, “The Monster Squad” and others. In the 90’s we had vampire movies such as “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” (which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, I’m sure you’ve seen it), “Blade”, “From Dusk ‘Til Dawn”, “Interview with the Vampire” (w/ Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt based on the Anne Rice novel), John Carpenter’s “Vampires” and many others to list.

Today, we get vampire movies like “Twilight” and “Vampire Academy”. Vampire films that are aimed for the young adult audience. I mean, really? What happened?

In the 2000’s years, we don’t have scary vampire films anymore. Sure, we have the Underworld franchise but to be honest, the Underworld franchise is more action than horror, though.

We need the scary vampire flicks to come back and I think it can happen. These days in horror films… slasher films and films about demonic possession are still dominating the industry. The scary vampires needs to make a comeback in horror films. Get rid of the “Twilight” and “Vampire Academy” trash and bring back the real vampire flicks. I’m a huge fan of vampires and it’s quite sickening where this genre is going these days.

I do love “The Lost Boys”, though. That’s a true vampire film right there and it’s indeed a classic! Seen the film many times.

Charlie Hunnam regrets dropping out of “50 Shades of Grey” film…

Charlie Hunnam the star of “Sons of Anarchy” was originally signed to star as Christian Grey for the “50 Shades of Grey” big screen movie but Charlie dropped out of the movie due to him having a “nervous breakdown” or something like that. He said it was bad timing for dropping out. Now Charlie is admitting he was wrong for dropping out. He’s feeling regret for it and admits it was an unprofessional thing to do. The role of Christian Grey obviously went to Jamie Dornan instead.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/10/charlie-hunnam-fifty-shades-grey

Wow. That’s pretty ballsy for Charlie to admit he was wrong so this makes me respect the actor even more.

Yeah, I did admittedly see the “50 Shades of Grey” movie… yes in a movie theater and thought it was surprisingly good. It was better than the book but the movie would have been a lot better if Charlie was in it, though. Charlie’s a good actor.

Hollywood using TV for female-centric superheroes as a test for big screen movies???

Soon, DCs “Supergirl” is coming to NBC and now Hollywood has another female-centric superhero TV show coming to the small screen exclusively for Netflix. This one is called, “Jessica Jones” and it’s already looking interesting even if it’s a tiny teaser. I’m sure Marvel will release the full trailer soon.

I know Hollywood isn’t friendly with female-centric superhero movies but are they using TV shows first as a test for future big screen movies? I’d say yes. If “Supergirl” and “Jessica Jones” are both big hits then I can see Hollywood making a lot more female-centric superhero movies for the big screen. It’s just a test to see how well the TV shows go, ya know?

There are female-centric superhero movies coming to the big screen like DC’s “Wonder Woman” and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” are both in the works.

I think women deserve a chance in the superhero genre. I think they can become successful… they just need a good script, good casting and good filming. Women taking the lead in superhero films can work if done right.

Ronda Rousey to star the lead in “Roadhouse” reboot… yes the film that made Patrick Swayze famous…

Let all the haters start whining in 3, 2, 1… anyway joking aside, I predicted Ronda’s film acting career is gonna get bigger and I was right.

She landed her first leading role by playing herself in her own biopic film and now she gets another leading role in which she will star the lead in the “Roadhouse” reboot. “Roadhouse” a cult classic 80’s movie that made Patrick Swayze famous. Ronda will take over Patrick’s role.

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/ronda-rousey-road-house-reboot-1201567956/

I’ve seen the movie “Roadhouse” many times and it’s a great film. For the reboot looks like they’re going for a female lead this time. They need a tough muscular chick to handle the bar brawls so Ronda would be the best choice. Patrick’s role in “Roadhouse” wasn’t a bouncer, he was a cooler meaning that he directs the bouncers in the bar so looks like Ronda’s character whatever they name her will take that job.

I’m sure they’re gonna give Ronda’s character a few big fight scenes, though and she’ll probably do a lot of her judo stuff that she’s famous for. Maybe we’ll see an appearance of her arm bar too.

Just an FYI, the original “Roadhouse” is available for streaming for Netflix, I believe. Check it out if you haven[‘t seen it before.

Christopher Nolan’s next film will arrive in 2017 but he’s keeping it top secret for now…

Christopher Nolan is planning on making his next film after “Interstellar” but he’s not saying what his next film is gonna be. Yeah, I’m pretty sure this will get people all excited and think this is gonna be another Batman movie but it isn’t gonna be.

http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/09/christopher-nolan-announces-release-date-for-next-film/

I have a few pretty good ideas of what Chris Nolan’s next film will be though. It’s probably gonna be “Ready Player One” the sci-fi film that Steven Spielberg set-up. That’s what Chris is rumored to direct next. Spielberg was gonna direct “Ready Player One” himself but looks like he changed his mind and he’s having someone else do it?

Warner Bros. is trying to offer Chris Nolan to direct the film:

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Christopher-Nolan-Ready-Player-One-Get-Latest-68539.html

If not “Ready Player One” then it could be Bond 25.

It’s been said that Sony gave up it’s distribution rights to the Bond franchise and W.B.’s Studios may have picked it up:

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/james-bond-distribution-rights-up-for-grabs-1201509566/

I could be wrong on both of these but we’ll wait and see.

I’m sure his next movie will have an all-star cast like his movies usually are and I’m sure Michael Caine will be involved once again.

The upcoming new “Masters of the Universe” movie gets a writer…

A “Masters of the Universe” reboot is still in the works but they just hired a new writer. Christopher Yost, who was the writer for the first two “Thor” films and the writer for the upcoming 3rd Thor film has been hired to write the new “Masters of the Universe” reboot.

Plot details of the new “Masters of the Universe” movie is being kept underwraps but they do give us a little bit of what the story is gonna be about. They want the new He-Man movie to forget the origin story. They don’t want to focus on the beginning of He-Man’s and Skeletor’s feud. Instead, they’re gonna jump right into the story and Skeletor plans to take over Eternia. Looks like the next movie will be taking place on Eternia instead of Earth this time which is cool.

http://www.vcpost.com/articles/89359/20150907/masters-universe-update-thor-movies-scribe-skip-man-origins-story.htm

Which is funny ’cause I just re-watched the 1987 “Masters of the Universe” movie with Dolph on Netflix the other night and it’s still a great movie. I’m a huge fan of the He-Man character. Always has been. When I was a kid, I used to watch the He-Man cartoon series all the time and I used to collect all the action figures. It’s a real shame that a sequel to that film never happened when it was going to.

Why didn’t a “Masters of The Universe II” happen when it was going to? It had something to do with Dolph not willing to return and also had something to do with budgeting and copyrights. They were getting ready to film “Masters of the Universe II” with a different actor playing He-Man but Cannon films owed Mattel a lot of money for rights of the characters and they also owed Marvel a lot of money for the Spiderman movie they were planning so for that reason they had to cancel both projects.

More on it here:

http://thecomicscode.weebly.com/masters-of-the-universe-2.html

Dolph never enjoyed playing the He-man role ’cause he didn’t like the costume he was wearing for the film. He was embarrassed being half-naked for that role, ya know? So I don’t think you’ll ever see Dolph back in the He-Man role ever again.

I hope they do a good job with the new “Masters of the Universe” reboot and it’s gonna be interesting to see who they’re gonna get for He-Man and Skeletor. I’m sure the new film will be action packed. Lots of special effects and CGI too. I hope they use Battlecat for the next film ’cause that would be badass. They didn’t use Battlecat for the 1987 film.

It’s interesting that the new He-Man movie is taking a long time to make. Sometimes movies take a long time to make, small baby-steps. I think it’s because they’re being more careful with this one and want to make this one a good movie since the 1987 film failed in the box office.

Will the “Scream” series continue on without Wes Craven?

So what’s the fate of the “Scream” series now that the series director and creator have passed on? Will they continue the story with a “Scream 5” without Wes or will they stop the series completely and start a reboot?

I just finished watching the four “Scream” movies this week. I have already seen the first three “Scream” movies many times but I’ve never seen the fourth one before. I love all Scream movies but I think “Scream 4” is the best one of the series. The first three were really good but my only gripe with them was that Wes Craven made the first three too predictable. Wes made it too easy to figure out who the killers were in the first three. In the fourth one, though, Wes made it pretty difficult to figure out who the killer was that time. In “Scream 4”, I had several guesses on who the Ghostface killer was but got them all wrong. I was pretty shocked on who the Ghostface killer turned out to be, I don’t want to reveal any big spoilers. “Scream 4” was exciting, though and fun to watch.

I don’t think the series is over yet ’cause “Scream 4” left open for a possibility of a “Scream 5”. I feel the story isn’t over yet. Will the cast and crew move forward to “Scream 5″ without Wes Craven on the helm? Or will they cancel the series for good and just do a reboot? Either way I don’t see this series ending for good ’cause even if they don’t move on without Wes, they’re probably gonna do a reboot anyways.

It is a great horror franchise, though. I think Neve Campbell is pretty smoking hot and she’s always been one of my celebrity crushes. Remember, Neve Campbell was also famous for her roles in ‘Wild Things” and “The Craft” which are both really good movies as well.

We’ll wait and see what the fate of “Scream” is gonna be. A “Scream” continuation may not even happen at all ’cause some cast members may not feel comfortable going on without Wes Craven on the helm, ya know?

Mega Man will get his first live-action movie…

Now that Nintendo has finally given Hollywood the green light to start making movies based on their games again, Hollywood wasted no time to move forward with a major Nintendo game character who is already set to get his first big screen live-action movie. That character is Mega Man. The Megan Man will get made by 20th Century Fox and will get produced by Peter Chernin.

http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/news/a666964/nintendo-video-game-icon-mega-man-is-getting-his-own-movie.html#~pnlftXwv5zWBi2

This is pretty cool ’cause I used to play Mega Man games on the original NES all the time when I was young.

I wonder who they’re gonna get for the Mega Man character? I would think the character Mega Man would have to be played by a little person or a dwarf ’cause the Mega Man character is tiny. So I would say give the Mega Man role to Peter Dinklage please. Perfect casting, in my opinion!!!

The movie will indeed be full of CGI and action, though.

I’m glad Nintendo finally gave Hollywood the okay to make movies again. What other Nintendo games should get made into movies? They already tried Super Mario Bros. but they failed at that but they would probably try Mario again in a re-boot.

My top 5:

– Legend of Zelda
– Castlevania
– Contra
– Metroid
– Ninja Gaiden

A “Double Dragon” movie already happened in 1994 but that film flopped in the box office too.
