JJ Abrams not quite done casting for “Star Wars Episode VII”…

JJ Abrams may have finally revealed the casting of “Star Wars Episode VII” yesterday but that doesn’t mean he’s done casting yet. They are still in search of another female lead. They’re looking for an actress with a mixed race who is in her 20’s so that means this actress could end up being Lupita Nyong’o or Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Lupita still has a chance so she’s definitely not ruled-out yet.

I hope Lupita will get it. I just saw “12 Years A Slave” not too long ago through Netflix DVD rental and I thought the film was pretty amazing. She was great in that role. I think Lupita will make a great addition to Star Wars.

The question you have to ask is, what is “Star Wars Episode VII” planning to use a young black actress for? Like I said before, I read somewhere that this film will have a young black female as a Jedi so she’s not gonna be some princess used for a love interest. She’s going to be a major part of the story and will probably do a lot of action scenes. She will probably do plenty of light-saber combat.

The casting is still not done and I’m sure they will add more to the cast as time goes along so maybe Billy Dee still has a chance too?

Anyway, I’m very happy for all the new cast who get to be a part of this film. This gotta be exciting and thrilling for them. I’m sure the new cast are all big Star Wars fans like the rest of us. They gotta be pretty stoked to be in the same movie with Mark, Harrison, and Carrie so a big congratulations to all of them. I’m sure they will have a blast filming this movie.

“Star Wars Episode VII” cast revealed!!! Harrison, Mark and Carrie finally confirmed!!!

JJ just released this photo today surprisingly. Here is the new cast doing a table reading in London.

As you can see there is a mix of veterans and newbies in the cast.

The veterans seated are: Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C3Po), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (RSD2).

The newbies are: Oscar Isaac (“Inside Llewyn Davis”), Adam Driver (“Girls”), John Boyega (“Attack the Block”), Daisy Ridley, (“Blue Season”) and Domhnall Gleeson (“About Time”)

Look like Jesse Plemons and Lupita Nyong’o didn’t make the cut.

Since they just revealed the cast officially today… I’m assuming May the 4th this Sunday, they will reveal the “title” and the “plot”???

Carrie Fisher maybe looking different these days since she is older and gained some weight over the years but I’m sure they will find ways to get her to look like Princess Leia again. I remember Princess Leia was freakin’ hot in the original trilogy. With makeup, costumes, and hair stylists… they’ll make Princess Leia beautiful again. Carrie Fisher still is beautiful, though. Carrie is seated on the right, sitting next to Peter the Chewbacca actor. You can see Mark talking to an old guy with white hair. Harrison sitting next to JJ, of course.

Please don’t mess it up, JJ!!! Please!

Harrison Ford to have major role in “Star Wars Episode VII???

As Sunday May the 4th approaches, even more rumors hit the internet about the involvement of Star Wars veterans… Harrison, Mark, and Carrie. They are hyping that Harrison Ford as Han Solo will have a major role in “Star Wars Episode VII” but nobody’s saying anything yet. It’s looking like that Han Solo will be throughout the next movie while Luke and Princess Leia will have smaller roles? It’s no surprise that Han Solo will probably have the most screen time in “Episode VII” ’cause it’ll probably help hype the Han Solo spinoff film that Disney/Lucasfilm is planning. Look like we will see plenty of Han Solo in the next movie. Han Solo is probably not just gonna be a mentor to new Jedi’s. He’s probably gonna help fight off the Empire.

Even if Harrison is aging, he’s 71 right now… I’m sure we’ll see him in plenty of action scenes. I’m sure Han will still have his blaster laser gun he has always used and we’ll see him running around with that. I’m sure we’ll see him back in the Millenium Falcon.

The question I’m wondering is, will Han Solo still don the black vest and white shirt? Probably. We’ll get the same Han Solo we always had.

Can’t wait to see the original trio back on the big screen. I’m sure we’ll still get Princess Leia and Han arguing together for comic material. It’ll feel like the original Star Wars all over again.

Rocky I-V are now available for Netflix streaming…

I already have all the Rocky movies on DVD and I also have the first Rocky film on BluRay but it is cool that these movies are finally on Netflix. For some reason Netflix neglected “Rocky Balboa” (Rocky 6) but maybe they’ll get that on there sometime in the future.

I love all the Rocky movies. Yes, I even think “Rocky V” was a great flick even though Sly himself admitted it was a horrible film.

While I am a huge fan of Sylvester Stallone and still am… “Rocky” was the beginning for me. That was how I got into Sly’s movies ’cause of Rocky and Rambo. Hopefully, Netflix will make the Rambo movies streamable too.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing, “Expendables 3” later this year, though.

More on “Star Wars 7″…

I wonder how long Harrison, Carrie and Mark will appear in “Star Wars 7” for? Are they just cameos or they’re just part of the leading roles? Or what? I hope Han, Leia and Luke won’t be just small roles. I wanna see Han and Luke in action again. Han and Chewie back to flying the Milennium Falcon. Luke in more amazing lightsaber battles. I’m sure we’ll get all that. 🙂 I’m sure the Empire hasn’t gone away yet. I also wouldn’t rule out the return of Boba Fett ’cause he may still be alive, ya never know… the same goes for Master Palpatine. Darth Vader woudn’t return ’cause it wouldn’t make any sense. Adam Driver’s villain character will probably be the new Darth character.

The new film will focus on new young leads and I’m pretty sure that Jesse Plemons and Lupita Nyong’o  will end up being the new Jedi hopefuls and I’m sure we’ll see those two in action too.

Will we see the return of Lando? It’s pretty unlikely ’cause I haven’t seen any news of Billy Dee Williams in London and looking at his twitter page, he’s busy doing other projects so it’s looking like Lando won’t be in this one. Still though, never say never on Lando… don’t rule him out yet either. They still got long ways a way for filming “Star Wars 7” so maybe they could use Lando sometime in the future?

This Star Wars could be very interesting. I’m still skeptical ’cause of what JJ did to “Star Trek Into Darkness” so hope they do a good job with “Star Wars 7” and hope they don’t let us down.

I’m hoping “Star Wars 7” won’t be a a short movie either. It should be a long 2 and a half hours. May the 4th is this coming Sunday and I’m sure we’ll know everything then.

I’m sure when “Star Wars 7” hits theater, it’s going to be a box office smash so the theaters will probably be packed for a long while. I’m sure people will be camping out on opening night too.

I am somewhat skeptical and excited at the same time, though. I know weird. That’s what Star Wars does to ya. I like Star Wars, sure. I’m more of a “Star Trek” fan than “Star Wars”, though.

I’m looking forward to May 4th. That’s gonna be a big day and social media will be all over it.

NASA to reveal all for “Star Wars Episode VII”???

The official Star Wars page just dropped this video in facebook. Look like Disney got NASA to announce the news for “Star Wars 7”: cast, plot, and title. Even though the video doesn’t confirm that May the 4th will be about “Star Wars 7”, the R2D2 appearance in the video kind of hints at it.

Like most people, I think May 4th is the day they will reveal all for “Star Wars 7”. May the 4th is just 6 days away.

Kev

Carrie Fisher appears to be in London too… hmmmm…

Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) tweeted that on her twitter page. Is that a hint that she’s in London filming “Star Wars Episode VII” along with Mark and Harrison? What a tease…

Zack Snyder confirmed to direct “Justice League” film which is no surprise…

I had a feeling that Zack Snyder was going to get the opportunity to direct, “Justice League” film.

I know “Man of Steel” got mixed reviews but I thought “Man of Steel” was an excellent film. I never understood the mixed reviews of the first “Man of Steel”. I thought the film was well-done. It was realistic, heartfelt, action-packed, etc. Just like a Superman movie is supposed to be. I’m also looking forward to “Batman vs. Superman” too.

I know Zack’s casting choices are really weird but it’s just his way of keeping his Superman re-boot as original as possible. It’s just his way of trying to keep away from the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve universe, know what I mean? He’s just trying to keep it different as possible.

Now that they got casting for the new Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). I wonder who they’re gonna get for the Flash and the Green Lantern? I’m sure they’ll find people for those two characters soon.

New photo of Mark Hamill surfaces online…

Mark Hamill is in London while Star Wars Episode VII is filming there. Even though Mark haven’t been confirmed yet for “Star Wars Episode VII”, this is pretty much proof that he has been signed for the role. Hamill maybe older but he still looks like Luke Skywalker. Mark have lost some weight, though, and he’s looking real good.

See the new photo of Mark here:

They’re not using the Expanded Universe for the new movies so things could get interesting.

Look like Spielberg will finally direct a live-action film for kids after all!!!

Steven Spielberg haven’t directed a live-action film for children in a long time. He hasn’t directed a kids film since, “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” in 1997. Over the last decade or so, he mostly kept his focus on political/historic films and sci-fi films over the years. In the early 80’s/90’s, he was known for making films for kids and families such as “E.T.”, “Close Encounters”, the Indiana Jones movies, “Hook”, “Jurassic Park”, etc. Look like he’s finally going back to it.

Spielberg is planning to adapt Road Dahl’s “BFG” to the big screen.
