Kurt Cobain album, “Montage of Heck – Home Recordings” only sells 5,000 copies which technically isn’t good at all!

It’s nice to see that Kurt Cobain’s first solo album, “Montage of Heck – Home Recordings” is pretty much a flop. Courtney Love probably expected it to be a big seller but she thought wrong. Why did not many people buy the album? It’s because they’re smart that’s why. It’s because most everyone knows that the album is invading Kurt’s privacy and fans wanted to respect his privacy. They know that this album is nothing but a huge cash grab for Courtney and record labels.

Would Kurt have wanted to start a solo career and put out his first solo album? Yes, I’m sure he would have started a solo career; although, I’m sure he wouldn’t have wanted a label to release a solo record without his acknowledgement so I’m sure he wouldn’t have been happy that this material has been released.

I’m glad this album is a failure in record sales. I didn’t even listen to it in Apple Music streaming and I don’t think I’m ever going to.

Tony Iommi still wants to keep making Black Sabbath music with or without Ozzy & Geezer?

Ozzy and Geezer both may have ruled out another Black Sabbath album and claims there won’t be another Sabbath album but Tony Iommi has a different opinion on that matter. Tony says he wants to keep going ’cause he says he’s written tons of riffs that would be good enough for another Sabbath album; however, Geezer and Ozzy doesn’t seem so keen on recording another Sabbath album.

https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/tony_iommi_says_he_wants_new_black_sabbath_album_but_geezer_butler_doesnt.html?no_takeover

Keep in mind that Tony, Ozzy and Geezer weren’t always the lineup for Sabbath ’cause Sabbath went through too many lineup changes over the years so what’s stopping Tony for changing the lineup of the band again? He can if he wants to. Sabbath is Tony’s baby. Tony has full control and ownership of the band so he does what he wants to do.

The return of Rihanna! Yeah, I can’t wait!

It’s been so long since Rihanna has been away from the music business. She’s now finally making her return with her next album being titled, “Anti”. With the title of her album and with the direction it’s headed… she’s gone political it looks like? Yeah, I’m a fan of Rihanna and listened to all of her records on Apple Music streaming and I enjoyed them all. While I loved all Rihanna albums, my favorites would have to be “Good Girl, Gone Bad”, “Loud” and “Rated R”.

I’m sure we’ll hear a new song and see a new video by Rihanna pretty soon. Yeah, she’s a pop artist but like I always say, I’m not against all pop music ’cause admittedly, I like a lot of it.

Nirvana fans shamefully trash Justin Bieber for wearing Nirvana shirt at AMA Awards…

I’m a huge Nirvana fan myself. I’m pretty much a huge Nirvana fanatic. I fuckin’ love Nirvana but I’m not gonna trash Justin Bieber for wearing a Nirvana shirt at the AMA’s. Just like the rest of us, Justin seems to be a Nirvana fanatic himself so he wanted to pay his respects to that band and honor them in a cool kind of way so Nirvana fans bash Justin. Nirvana fans think Kurt Cobain would be rolling in his grave.

Ummmmmmm… no, if Kurt was still alive and he saw that today, I’m pretty positive Kurt would have been extremely flattered. Kurt would have been happy to see that. I’m pretty sure Dave and Krist thought it was pretty cool.

http://hollywoodlife.com/2015/11/23/justin-bieber-nirvana-shirt-slammed-tweets/

Justin is a music fan like the rest of us. He probably likes rock music like the rest of us too. That’s the sad part… people would bash Justin on everything. Hey, I wasn’t the biggest Justin Bieber fan but the kid gained my respect after that Comedy Central Roast thing he did earlier this year. I find nothing wrong with Bieber now. He’s okay, in my book.

Mysterious David Bowie countdown going on…

David Bowie’s got a new countdown going on for his website to promote the “Blackstar” album that will be released on his birthday, Jan. 8th. I think it’s pretty obvious that it’s just gonna unveil the full song that is previewed on this site. Maybe he’ll release a new music video for that song as well.

Maybe he’ll even let us hear the album in it’s entirety on his website before it comes out?

http://www.imablackstar.com/

I’m excited for the new Bowie album ’cause I’m a die-hard fan. Always been a Bowie fanatic my whole life. The man is a genius.

Will Bowie announce a tour or a one-off show? I doubt it ’cause I really believe the man really is done performing live. He maybe retired from performing on the stage but not retired from making new music. Bowie is still making amazing music which is no surprise. How can you not like Bowie? All of his records are great!

Interesting… Metallica once considered ousting Lars Ulrich from the band…

Metallica is Lars Ulrich’s baby. Always has been. He was the one who started the band himself. A lot of people think James Hetfield started the band but not true. James was only recruited by Lars himself. So Lars is pretty much the leader of the band. Remember in the movie, “School of Rock” where Dewey Finn was kicked out of his own band, No Vacancy? Well, Lars almost experienced the similar thing.

http://loudwire.com/kirk-hammett-metallica-pondered-ousting-lars-ulrich/

I can see why ’cause Lars Ulrich has always been kind of a huge pain in the ass, admittedly. Knowing how Lars was during the “Some Kind of Monster” movie during the “St. Anger” recording when James and Lars were feuding at the time.

While I love Metallica and always had, I’ll admit that Lars is kind of annoying. That guy just talks way too much which probably explains why he does the most interviews than the other guys. James doesn’t do interviews much. It’s always either Lars or Kirk doing most of the interviews. Rob does interviews sometimes but he doesn’t do interviews much either.

What streaming music services can be good for…

In the past, I used to not like the idea of streaming service and I used to avoid those things like the plague. Now I’ve had a change of heart with “online streaming” services for music. I experimented with “Spotify” for a long while and then I switched to “Apple Music” when that finally got here. I’m a still a big fan of “Apple Music”.

I like “streaming music” ’cause since Record Stores are pretty much dead, where else are you going to listen to music? I decided to join the streaming music bandwagon ’cause I thought it would be a good opportunity to listen to the entire discographies of my favorite bands & artists. I have been doing that a lot. I’ve listened to a lot of albums on Apple Music. Got to hear albums I’ve always wanted to hear that I never got to hear before. “Streaming music” can also be good for that if you like an album a lot enough you can buy your own copy. I have been doing that a lot too. If I listen to an album that I loved a lot on Apple Music, I’ll end up buying my own copy through the Itunes store. If you want to own the album you like, they force you to buy your own copy ’cause when you stream albums on Apple Music, you don’t exactly own them. Listening to albums on Apple Music streaming is kind of like “renting” similar to Netflix. Spotify is the same way pretty much. If you want to listen to albums you like on the go, you’ll have to buy your own copy. I got the Ipod Touch 4th Generation and Apple Music won’t let me sync albums to my Ipod. They only allow you to sync albums to the Ipod Touch 4 if you own your copy.

When I buy an album for me to own if I like it enough, I’ll either get it through the Itunes store or just buy the physical CD from FYE or Best Buy or where ever. Yeah, sometimes I still do buy physical CD’s ’cause I would like to have the cover and the album artwork.

I love listening to music. I gotta be around it. This morning I listened to the new Bryan Adams album, “Get Up” and I thought it was a fuckin’ great record. Think I’m gonna get my own copy of that album. Bryan Adams still got it. You remember that guy who wrote the hits “Summer of ’69”, “Run To You” and “Everything I Do”? Bryan Adams has always been one of my favorite singer/songwriters ’cause I used to listen to him a lot when I was in high school so I decided to check out his new album.

The original KISS breakup… did Ace and Peter got what they deserved? Yes! They absolutely did!

I just finished reading Gene Simmons book, “Kiss or Makeup”. Before this book I just re-read Ace Frehley’s book, “No Regrets”. So now I’ve read all 4 KISS books: Paul Stanley “Face the Music”, Peter Criss “Makeup To Breakup”, Gene Simmons “Kiss Or Makeup” and Ace Frehley “No Regrets”. Why did I read all 4 KISS books? Well, I wanted to get each perspective on the band’s career, their legacy, their feuds and the controversial breakup.

Many want to believe Ace and Peter were treated unfairly. Many would say that Ace and Peter were treated like “employees” instead of being treated like actual band members. Well before you make that assumption, I would suggest you read all 4 Kiss books and then you would see which one is the most truthful. Yeah, each member had their own side of the story of their feud and breakup but which member do I believe was the most truthful?

You maybe pretty surprised by this, guys, that I think Gene Simmons story was the most believable. I was pretty surprised by Gene’s book, “Kiss or Makeup”. A lot of people wanna accuse Gene of being a huge egomaniac but I don’t think he is. After I read Gene’s book, I was surprised on how genuine and humble he was. In Ace and Peter’s book they accused Gene of being “money hungry” but that’s not what I saw. When I read Gene’s book, he made it clear that Kiss wasn’t about the money at all for him and he proves it too. Gene was about the music and the fun. It wasn’t about the money for him. When they kicked Ace and Peter out of the band, was it fair?

Yes! Honestly, after you read all 4 Kiss books, you would immediately see that Ace and Peter deserved it. Why? Because they both were unprofessional douchebags. Ace was always on drugs & alcohol. Peter was too. Peter always had a raging temper. After reading Peter Criss’s book I can tell. Peter is kind of a piece of shit really. I read Peter’s book, “Makeup To Breakup” and all it is it’s just 800 pages full of Peter whining and complaining throughout the book. All Peter did was talk all kinds of trash about the other band members and I’m like, “No wonder Peter got what he got”.

Ace and Peter clearly brought it upon themselves for sure. Gene and Paul tried to give Ace and Peter the spotlight they craved but they were unprofessional from the get go. Always late at recording sessions, sometimes never showing up for them. Ace being lazy. Peter always on drugs and acting crazy, having mood swings. Yeah, so I believe Ace and Peter deserved what they got. Gene and Paul are professionals, they knew what they were doing and people wanna act like they don’t.

Gene’s book was the most truthful.

I’m glad I finally started to get into KISS. Even though I listened to all of their records on Apple Music streaming, I still stand by it that the original lineup with Ace and Peter will always be the best. I’m starting to buy KISS albums from Itunes so I can own them for myself so far I own 4 of them. Kiss albums are surprisingly priced pretty cheap on Itunes, a lot of them are priced at $5.95 so hell yeah! I love the original Kiss lineup and it’s too bad they couldn’t last longer when they could have.

Courtney continues to exploit Kurt Cobain for money, that’s why she had him murdered, folks…

It’s pretty clear the reason why Courtney Love had Kurt Cobain murdered. It’s so she can continue to exploit him for money. Get rich off of him. That’s why she owns the rights to Nirvana’s catalog and she can do what she wants with Nirvana songs. I can remember the time when Courtney tried to stop Dave and Krist from releasing the “With the Lights Out” box set that they released in the past.

Honestly, I don’t really like Courtney being in control of Nirvana’s catalog and Kurt Cobain’s image. She’s such an egotistical bitch and always has been. Does she deserve to have total control over Kurt’s image and music? No, absolutely not! In my opinion, Dave and Krist should have full ownership over Nirvana’s music. Courtney didn’t write the Nirvana songs, Dave and Krist helped write the songs with Kurt. The reality is, no matter who currently owns the copyright of a band’s catalog, the original artists themselves will always own the songs technically. I can’t stand Courtney. She didn’t write the Nirvana songs and she’s going around acting like she did.

First Courtney worked with HBO to get the “Montage of Heck” movie off the grounds which is a big money making opportunity for her and now she has another money making opportunity for her. She’s releasing “Kurt Cobain: The Montage of Heck – Home Recordings” this Friday which I’m sure she also has full ownership of copyright.

http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/21157-montage-of-heck-the-home-recordings/

See here for the albums track listing:

To be honest, I don’t agree with these home recordings of Kurt to be released to the public. I believe they were meant to be part of Kurt’s private music collection of songs that he recorded himself. Just him and his acoustic guitar. This “Home Recordings” release is all exploitation of Kurt, absolutely.

Next, Courtney will be planning a Kurt Cobain biopic film for Hollywood which is an even more money making opportunity for her.

See why she had him killed now? She did it so she can boost her own career and get more fame off of him. Ya know, leech off his fame is what she’s doing and she’s doing a great job of it.

Courtney is a piece of shit. I hope the Seattle PD does the smart thing and reopen the Kurt Cobain case so they can throw her in prison. Once she’s in prison, Dave and Krist can get the rights to Nirvana’s music back.

Youtube must not be making enough money through ads, that’s the reason for the new services…

Youtube must not be making enough money through their advertisements on videos. Is that the reason for the new Youtube services like YoutubeRed and Youtube Music? I believe so. I really hate the way youtube is going these days. Youtube was once really cool back in the days before google and record labels took over. Yeah, I’ve been a youtube member for that long. Youtube used to be a cool place where musicians can upload videos of themselves performing cover songs. It’s gotten a lot harder for musicians to play cover songs for youtube ’cause of their strict “third party” copyright laws. It’s not the original artists that don’t like their songs covered, it’s just those whiny record labels who always cry, “copyright infringement”. It’s a proven fact that record labels treat unsigned and amatuer musicians like shit. Record labels are evil which is why I refuse to sign with any of them, not in this day and age.

Musicians should have the legal right to cover songs from bands & artists. I don’t see how it could be against the law ’cause it’s ridiculous, in my book. All the record labels care about is money, that’s all they do it for. Threaten legal action to people for copyright infringement. All musicians should be able to cover songs on the internet. It’s all bullshit really. Give it time… record labels will take over facebook too once they see that facebook has a problem with musicians covering songs over there.

In my opinion, I thought youtube was originally made for real people like me to upload whatever kind of videos you want? It used to be that way before google and record labels took over. Then the TOS got even more strict. This is why I have a pure hatred for youtube now. It’s got even worse with these new services on youtube. I don’t like YoutubeRed and I don’t like YoutubeMusic either.

Youtube is really going down the toilet. Give it time, y’all. Soon youtube will end up being like the next myspace for sure. Another reason for the new services is that they noticed they lost a lot of support and they’re trying to win people back. Pretty shady, I must say.
