An iconic movie star is about ready to have a huge TV role by replacing a departing William Peterson. That is Laurence Fishburne. You have probably seen Fishburne through the Matrix trilogy which is his most well known movie role.
Fishburne will not play the role of Gil Grissom, CSI will write a new character for him.

For the fans of “Days of Our Lives” soap opera, if you don’t want to miss any of the good upcoming storylines in the month of August, (especially the return of Stefano Dimera) not too worry!! While the full hour of the show may not be aired during the Olympics, starting on August 11th, “Days of Our Lives” will feature two short term storylines during the Olympic games. Meaning that NBC will air only two small parts of the show during the games. Some areas in the USA may not be able to see the show at all during the Olympics (lets hope NY state is not on that list).
One storyline they will air is the return of Stefano Dimera and the second storyline will probably focus on the character Nicole Walker. Other characters of the show will of course be involved like Steve, Kayla, Marlena, John, EJ, Sami, Lucas, and others.

Aaaahh, I see. This is a ploy to get more ratings of Days since Stefano is coming back and they want Olympic fans to be watching that character.

According to various sources in the world of Soap Opera news, the Phoenix is returning!!! Stefano Dimera is confirmed to be returning to “Days of Our Lives” in early August, first return date is marked Aug. 4th.
Stefano will be back to get his revenge on who ever put him in a coma and all hell will break loose in Salem once again. The question is, what would Stefano’s feelings would be when he finds out that John Black now owns the Dimera mansion? Would Stefano like the idea of John allowing Marlena, Sami, and EJ all living in the Dimera mansion? This ought to be interesting.
For fans of the show, I know there are some out there, just wanted to give you a heads up. The shows been kind of boring without him and Stefano’s one of the reasons I started watching the show several years ago. He’s one of the baddest TV villains ever.
Stefano Dimera has been a popular character on the show for a long time.

Jay Leno will end his 16 year career on “The Tonight Show” on May 29th of next year in 2009 will be his final episode. Conan O’ Brien takes over June 1st of next year.
Jay Leno announced that he is done with NBC completely, but NBC still feels that they are not ready to let Leno go yet. NBC wants him to do another show that is not late night TV related but it’s all up to Jay. Old reruns of the “Tonight Show” will air in between May 29th and June 1st until Jimmy Fallon takes over Conan in the Spring.

Look like the popular TV show hosted by famous movie critics Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper will no longer be reviewing movies on TV, Roeper was the first to announce he’s leaving the show and Ebert followed the next day after. Ebert is moving on for his obvious health problems, Roeper is just moving on in his life. Look like he no longer wants to get paid to see movies, if he wants to see movies he’ll have to pay himself in the theater.
Richard Roeper took over Gene Siskel’s place after Siskel passed away in 1999 due to a brain tumor.

Katie Couric finally speaks out after months and months of non stop rumours of her leaving CBS. She finally confirmed that she’s staying at CBS. So for the people that started the rumours on her, there is her message in the picture above.

William Peterson the actor who plays the iconic character, Gil Grissom is leaving the longtime hit TV show “CSI”. He had played in the show since it’s debut episode way back in the year 2000 when the show first started. The show is still going strong for 8 seasons. Peterson says he wants to move on to try other things in his acting career. This isn’t the first time that CSI lost cast members, not too long ago, the show lost Gary Dourdan and Jorja Fox. Peterson will still work for the show, however, he won’t act much, he’ll remain as executive producer. He’ll only appear in a few episodes occasionally.

My thoughts?
Simply put, good for him! He’s an excellent actor. It’s about time for him to move on and hopefully do some hollywood movies in leading roles. Maybe that’s why he wants to leave, he wants to get movie roles. I hope he does play a leading role in a film sometime down the road.

We all know that the legendary progressive rock band, Rush, which features band members Geddy Lee, Neil Peart, and Alex Lifeson hardily ever perform on TV much at all. This will be Rush’s first TV performance in more than three decades. The band Rush will appear on “The Colbert Report” a show hosted by comedian Stephen Colbert which airs on Comedy Central. Rush will perform their classic “Tom Sawyer” for this Wednesday’s show on “The Colbert Report”. Check your local TV guide for showtimes. Rush has NOT played on television since 1975.
