Hollywood Hulk Hogan has officially signed a contract to join TNA wrestling as a fulltime wrestling performer. He’s not going back to WWE but looks like he’s going to TNA instead.
Will we see Hulk Hogan vs. Kurt Angle in a TNA ppv match? Definitely. Will we see Hulk Hogan wrestle against Sting? Sting is still in TNA wrestling so we’ll see that match too.
Keep in mind, Kevin Nash, Hulk’s longtime partner and friend is also in TNA currently. Do we see the nWo reforming in TNA? Possibly!!!

I watch TNA wrestling sometimes. Not all the time but once in a while, and sometimes it’s good stuff.
I don’t like the idea of Hogie being over there. I think he’ll destroy that compnay just like he did to WCW and almost did to WWE.

I haven’t watched WWE for the past month or so. I think I’ve given it up for good. I don’t like the direction that the company is in. Not liking the storylines and the current fueds ’cause all seem very childlike with their obvious new PG direction. This is a show strictly aimed for 5-10 year old kids now. It’s almost like Nikelodeon or Disney or something.
Although I don’t watch WWE much anymore, I still RESPECT, the superstars and the performers. I still say some of them are my favorites like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Undertaker, etc. I don’t like how their characters are aimed toward children now.
I miss the violence, I miss the blood, and I miss the Divas showing lots of cleavage. The Divas don’t even show much cleavage anymore. They now wear things that pretty much cover their plastic implanted breasts.
It’s just sad. If WWE is going to make this strictly for children, I would change the scheduling times instead of like 8 or 9 at night. Make WWE so kids can come home from school and watch it then. They’ll get more ratings that way, trust me. Not many kids stay up past nine at night, because their parents put them to bed by then.
I remember back in the 80’s during the old days of WWE, that those shows used to be on Saturday mornings weekly. Maybe WWE should consider going back to that root?
Have the kids WWE shows on the weekend and during the week make RAW/ECW/SD back to PG-14.
I still like the wrestlers that perform these shows in WWE, it’s just the direction that the company is in, is my only complaint.
This is why I watch Monday Night Football on TV instead of RAW on Monday nights. I’ve been getting into Football now and grown into liking it. I have also switched to being a UFC fan full time. So I watch UFC ppv’s instead of WWE ppv’s. I like UFC more now, ’cause they have something that WWE doesn’t have. Blood and hardcore violence that is real.
Maybe the kids deserve to see their WWE, don’t know, but I wish WWE would quit overdoing this kids thing. I love wrestling, always had and always will, but WWE will lose their adult fans if they keep doing this. They already lost quite a bit of adult fans.
What would make me start watching WWE again? If they ever go back to PG-14 which I doubt they ever will, then maybe. I don’t care for the family version of WWE. It just sucks right now.

Shane McMahon who is the son of Vince and Linda McMahon has officially announced resignation from the WWE. Those who don’t know who he is, he was also an occasional performer in WWE known as the “Boy Wonder”, he sometimes wrestles in PPV matches and performs in storylines with other superstars. He is also the Executive Vice President for the Global Media for the WWE business overall behind the scenes.
Read Shane’s open message to WWE fans on WWE.com here:

Is this for real or is this a storyline? First Linda McMahon resigns from WWE to begin her political dreams. Now Shane quits WWE. What is it with the McMahon’s quitting? Is Stephanie McMahon next?
Vince can’t quit ’cause he’s the owner, he would have to sell the business if he wanted to leave.
I’m sure Shane McMahon will return to WWE TV before he leaves in January. I’m guessing they will make him guest host for Monday Night RAW.

WWE Legend, Captain Lou Albano, mostly famous for mixing wrestling with rock music by teaming up with Cyndi Lauper to star in her videos, has died at his home surrounded by family. Lou Albano did not have cancer and his cause of death is not known at this time.
He is also known for being a popular wrestling manager, who managed superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Jimmy Snuka and more. Lou was also famous for playing the legendary video game character, Mario, in the “Super Mario Bros.” TV show.
Lou Albano was a wrestling legend and a WWE Hall of Famer. RIP Lou, that guy was so cool and one of my favorites watching him as a kid.

Not only that the WWE got rid of the swearing, nasty talk, and calmed down the violence/storylines some, they also got rid of something that what made WWE successful.
That is…BLOOD!!!
I so miss the early 90’s when there were lots of blood in wrestling during the hardcore matches. I especially miss the Mick Foley days when he used to be Cactus Jack and Mankind.
There were lots of BLOOD in ppv matches back in the old days. I miss those days terribly.
They don’t do blood in matches anymore at all.
Back when Triple H and Undertaker…Flair and all those guys get into bloody messes in the past. It’s all gone.
Seems like WWE is strictly for kids now. They want this to be a kids product. I don’t see WWE going back to th PG-13/R rating anytime soon. I think this PG rating for kids will be set in stone forever.
Mick was one of my heros. You ask, why didn’t WWE ask Mick Foley if he wanted to host a RAW episode as a celebrity guest? I’m sure they would have asked him, but Vince and Mick Foley don’t get along anymore. Mick quit WWE a while back ’cause he had a fallen out with Vince in real life. So don’t ever expect Mick to return to the WWE for a long while. Mick lost his heart for the company, I think.

Live bootlegged shot at the show itself. Even though Dwayne hasn’t played the Rock character in years, he still does a killer job at it. Yes, he did say “candyass” but his speech is not as obscene as it used to be in the past.
No Vickie Guerrero, the Rock just predicts the Hell in a Cell matches that will take place on ppv this weekend.
Edit to add: As you just heard the Rock say, he said will be on RAW in person as a celebrity guest host. So I guess the Rock is coming back to WWE for one night on RAW? If so, that would be cool, but I will believe it when I see him on RAW.
Kev
News are hitting the wrestling community pretty hard that the Rock Dwayne Johnson is finally making an appearance on a WWE TV show after all these years. He will be making an appearance on the special Decade Smackdown show this Friday.
The Rock won’t be appearing at the arena live in person or nothing like that, he’ll only be doing an entertaining video segment with Vickie Guerrero, I heard.
I miss the Rock in wrestling. He was one of my favorites when he used to be around. I wish Dwayne would agree to one final PPV match against John Cena ’cause that would be way cool.
Be sure to tune in to Smackdown this Friday to see the Rock’s brief appearance as it would be entertaining and funny as the Rock always is. Only thing, I have a feeling WWE won’t let him use these words, “roody poo candy ass” and “licking monkey’s nipples” like he used to say since this is a PG rating show now.
I sure miss Rocky in wrestling and wish he would come back to perform at least for a little while, give what wrestling fans want, Dwayne. COME ON!

Since last night’s RAW was in Albany, N.Y. at the Times Union Center last night, I wanted to blog about it. I didn’t go to the show, just saw it on TV. Rev. Al Sharpton was in town to start his education reform tour as to help promote it. So he agreed to do RAW to help start the tour.
I was expecting a very good heel performance by Al Sharpton, I was expecting a powerful speech, a bad guy wrestler type of speech that I was expecting him to do…but instead we get something different. We get a childlike and happy Al Sharpton, he was playful, it was something for the kids since WWE is now a PG rating so they basically want all celebrity guest hosts to be all childlike to be entertaining for the kids.
At the opening segment of RAW MVP and Mark Henry did their speech with Chris Jericho and the Big Show interupting. Chris Jericho came out to praise Al Sharpton’s work in politics. When Al Sharpton came out to the ring, Al made it seem like he was flattered by Chris’s comments. Then Al announced that Chris Jericho/Big show were going to have a tag team championship match against MVP/Mark Henry later on RAW.
At first, Al Sharpton was getting booed by the crowd when he came out…but when Al announced the tag team championship match, the whole crowd of Albany NY gave Al a strong cheer.
After Al’s speech with the wrestlers, Al did a couple of backstage segments before the commercials. One was Al teaching a wrestler education while Chavo Guerrero was chasing Hornswoggle around the office. The second backstage segment was Al singing “I Feel Good” by James Brown with a couple of WWE Divas.
That was it, that was all the screen time Al Sharpton had. It was an entertaining fun type of thing, Al didn’t get into any physical action or nothing like that.
Al did a good job on the mic but I was hoping for something more.
WWE has gotten so childlike ’cause of the PG rating. I actually don’t mind the PG rating, I just want the celebrity hosting thing to get over with ’cause it’s lame.
Remember, WWE started off a PG rating when they first started in the 80’s, when Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, etc were all around back in the old days. WWE is going for the return of the 80’s style, that is the point of going PG so they can get more children to watch WWE like they did in the 80’s.
On last night’s RAW, for example, DX, Triple H and Shawn Michaels were talking trash at Legacy, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. In the early 90’s when it used to be PG-13, wrestlers used to talk about getting angry by using the word “pissed”, but since this is PG rating now, wrestlers can’t use that word anymore like they used to. Triple H was describing getting angry by using the Incredible Hulk as an example.
It actually wasn’t a bad RAW last night, it was pretty good. I just wish WWE did more with Al Sharpton, because he would have a better performance if he did more than just promote education reform.
Kev

Yes, that’s right. WWE RAW is coming back to Albany, this coming Monday night at the Times Union Center. Who is the celebrity guest host for next Monday’s RAW?
That will be Rev. Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton is coming to town in the Capital District area to perform on Monday Night RAW for a one night episode as a celebrity guest host. Al will be in charge of running RAW as a storyline.
More on it here:
http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=845177&category=ARTS
Although I stopped watching RAW for a while, I’ll watch this one episode. Al Sharpton hosting RAW will be interesting. We all know, Al is the most hated guy in the news media. Obviously WWE, hired him to be special guest host ’cause they think he would make a good heel/badguy host.
Most of the celebrity guest hosts RAW had so far were more aiming to the good guy side. I think Al Sharpton will be the badguy. We’ll wait and see.
I’m sure Al will be great on the mic on RAW though.
