Ted Nugent didn’t exactly apologize to President Obama…

“Yes I would,” Nugent said according to audio aired on CNN. “I did cross the line. I do apologize, not necessarily to the president, but on behalf of much better men than myself, like the best governor in America, Gov. Rick Perry, the best attorney general in America.”

Notice how he says that he doesn’t necessarily apologize to President Obama for saying those words and he gives a shout-out to Rick Perry who he greatly supports. They’ve been friends for a while now. He admitted to using those words “wrong” but he doesn’t exactly apologize to President Obama. I don’t think Ted ever will. The apology was meant for everyone else he offended. Why should Ted apologize to President Obama? Like I said before…. no one owes anything to President Obama after what he’s done to the country for the last 5 years or so. Like I said before in the other post, Ted just made a mistake… we all make ’em. Sometimes when people go off in rants… people can say offensive stuff by accident. Even I do it. He could have used better words describing Obama but he should never have to apologize to Obama.

Obama doesn’t fucking deserve apologies from anybody. With that being said, this wasn’t exactly a 100% apology.

Ted is just like the rest of us. He’s upset at how Obama is treating the country like the rest of us and he wants us to wake up.

I fear for Ted’s safety now, though. He better have body guards or some kind of protection every where he goes.

Thought: Hank Jr. was just being a little honest and joking a bit, settle down, people…

ESPN fires country singer, Hank Williams Jr., because of some controversial comments he said on an ESPN interview. Hank Jr. has been known to work with ESPN for over 20 years, with his famous Monday Night Football intro’s, “Are you ready for some football?”.

In an interview with Hank Jr., he was asked what he thought about Obama & Boehner playing a game of golf against Biden & Kasich. He said it’s like Hitler playing golf with the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He then said that they’re the enemy, Obama and Biden.

I think a lot of people misunderstood his point, I think I get what he was trying to say. Here’s my take on it: First of all, he was trying to explain how stupid it was for Obama to be playing golf with his buddies, when there are more important things in the world that Obama needs to worry about. Our government is broken, the economics are a mess, there are no jobs anymore, there’s a protest going on in Wall Street, wars still going on in Afghanistan, etc. That’s what Hank Jr. means when he says Obama and Biden are the enemy, ’cause it’s true.

Secondly, I think Hank Jr. was just joking a little bit when he brought Hitler and Netanyahu into it. If you think about it, Obama is kind of like Hitler in some way. There are similarities  of their political backgrounds between the two of them. So, can you see why people are starting to compare Obama to Hitler?

I’m totally on Hank’s side. While his points maybe harsh, they are valid. This was ESPN’s fault, not his. They asked him questions, all he did was answer and gave his honest thoughts. Hank doesn’t owe anyone anything.

Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg

See why it is appropriate that Tommy was picked for Stauffenberg. Tommy is identical to the actual Stauffenberg.

Check it out:

Left: The real Stauffenberg

Right: Tom Cruise

Another similar pic comparing the two:

Love Tommy or hate him, you can’t deny that he is perfect for Stauffenberg, I don’t think anybody else could pull off that role.

Now that I’ve seen the movie, it makes me want to shop for some history books and learning the entire history of that day on July 20th, 1944.

This wikipedia gives some info on that stuff:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claus_von_Stauffenberg#20_July_Plot

I’m sure the Non Fiction books from the library or bookstores will give us a lot more than what Singer gave us in the film.

Film Review: Valkyrie

Starring: Tom Cruise, Terence Stamp, Tom Wilkinson

Directed by: Bryan Singer

Just got back from the mall from seeing “Valkyrie” this evening, and here is my review.

Synopsis: This film is a World War II story, taking place during the Nazi’s, Adolf Hitler era that is based on real life events in the history books. Tom Cruise plays Colonel Stauffenberg which he plots with a group of other German officers to kill Adolf Hitler, as his way of trying to take over Nazi power in order to end the war.

Stauffenberg is seriously injured in a battle in Africa, which causes him to lose his eye and other body parts, he is forced to wear an eye patch. However, he still keeps his eye that he took out himself as his way of faking that he actually has two eyes whenever he’s associating with the Nazi’s. Stauffenberg helps conceive Operation Valkyrie, which is a plan approved by Adolf Hilter. Stauffenberg later joins the German Resistance, and becomes the Chief of Staff to further his plot to kill Hitler which is planned on July 20th, 1944.

Stauffenberg’s plan on trying to kill Hitler fails, after the Nazis discovered his plan on trying to kill their leader.

I would like to add this film to the top 5 films of 2008. It was an excellent film. I liked it all the way through. The story is thrilling, unpredictable, and the acting is very good all around. Yes, Tom Cruise actually did a great job in it as well. Is this movie worthy for Best Picture in the Oscars? Definitely. I would like to see Terence Stamp get a nomination for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” ’cause he did good in this.

The film has excellent action scenes as well. In the film, you would never know when it will come to a loud explosion. One time a group of Nazi soldiers are talking to each other and all of a sudden, BOOM!!!!! A huge explosion out of no where!!!

The movie was interesting, it was great pacing, the characters are good, and the actor who played Adolf Hitler did a very good job. What’s creepy about it though, that the actor who played Hitler almost looks exactly like the real Hitler.

In the theater I was in earlier tonight, I was surprised to see that it was a full theater, yep, a packed house. Don’t be surprised if “Valkyrie” moves up to no. 1 over the weekend on Sunday ’cause it could happen. I just love Bryan Singer’s work, he’s such an amazing director and one of my very favorite film makers. He’s made some really good movies like “The Usual Suspects”, “Apt Pupil”, “X-Men 1 and 2”, and “Superman: Returns”.

Why do so many people still go see Nazi and Hitler movies? I honestly think people has a fascination with Nazis and Hitler, that they like learning about them. Hitler is a controversial figure and people have a fascination with him whether people want to admit it or not. Nazis are being used for movies all the time, and even Indiana Jones used Nazis. People are fascinated with that stuff because it is interesting.

Please go see this even if you hate Tom Cruise. It’s an intense movie that’ll give you chills.

Score for “Valkyrie” = **** (4 stars as in excellent)

Report: Somebody killed Adolf Hitler at a Berlin wax musuem…

The Maddam Tussauds musuem in Berlin, Germany just had it’s grand opening Saturday July 5th. In the museum had a figure as Adolf Hitler. In Germany it is illegal in that country to glorify and support the Nazi dictator and leader. A man who is unidentified came in the musuem and just tore the head off of a waxed made Adolf Hitler. Adolf was a man who started the Nazi’s to help him murder all the Jews in Europe during World War II.

More on it here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080705/od_nm/hitler_head_dc

The musuem should have realized that anybody in Germany could have came in and destroyed it. Not just that one man. If they rebuilt the Hitler waxed figure, I’m sure someone else would come in and destroy it again.

Speaking of Adolf Hitler, there are hundreds of war movies that was taking place during WWII fighting against the Nazis. But hardily any of them had  an actor playing Adolf Hitler, except for “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” which Hitler appeared in a cameo when Indy Jones ran into him by accident.

I really think hollywood should do a biopic film about “Adolf Hitler”. I’m not saying this ’cause I’m supporting Hitler, no way. I think a major “Hitler” movie should be made so people can learn his history. If a “Hitler” biopic gets made, I think it would be a controversial film and would be a success. A “Hitler” biopic would take a lot of heat in the movie industry just like Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” did. A “Hitler” biopic could be a powerful film and dramatic if done right and if picked by the right actor to play “Hitler” himself. Hollywood should go for it and the media would eat it up.
