Are we about to see the death of the cinema going experience? I believe we are about to say RIP To Cinemas real soon…

Welp, I’m sure you’re all noticing that Hollywood finding new and different ways of releasing new movies nowadays… thanks to covid and this stupid pandemic.

We have all these streaming services now from Netflix, Hulu, HBO MAX, APPLE TV Plus, CBS All Access, Amazon Prime Video and lord knows, I’m sure I’m missing some others but those are the ones I can think of at the top of my head. There is also VOD and online movie streaming where you can either buy or rent movies through Itunes movies, Google Play and things like that. VOD is a big thing right now too.

So many new movies getting released through either streaming service or VOD ’cause why? Pandemic shut down movie theaters for starters and yes, theaters are coming back but like I said in another post, it’s hard for theaters to release new movies nowadays. That is why Hollywood is releasing a lot of new upcoming movies for both streaming service and in theater at the same time. Like all those new releases coming for HBO Max, that got me thinking that Cinema is about dead.

Which is a shame, ya know? This is how we’re all supposed to be watching movies. We’re supposed to watch movies on the big screen and not the small screen but it’s amazing to me how quickly things change. I think we’re about to see the death of cinemas real fast. Sure, movie theaters are gonna come back but it’s gonna take a while for people to go to movie theaters again. No one’s gonna go back to the theaters when they come back and Hollywood knows it, that’s why they’re gonna release new movies to streaming services from now on.

This is why Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max getting a lot of new movies lately. Just last night, I watched the movie “Ava” with Jessica Chastain and it was pretty good. I’m sure that film would have gotten a huge theatrical release but because of Covid, it got a streaming release instead. I thought “Ava” was a great film, though… a good action movie you should check it out.

I also watched the live action version of “Mulan” on Disney Plus and I loved that one too. I’m sure that film would have gotten a major theatrical release as well but it ended up getting premiered on Disney Plus instead.

I am calling it now that movie theaters will disappear and the Cinema experience is about to come to an end. Streaming services and VOD Is gonna be the new future of movies sadly.

It’s a shame ’cause a lot of action movies, science fiction and horror films were meant to be watched on the big screen with all the special effects, cinematography, the loud music and loud sounds effects. All about the cinema experience. That’s what’s fun about watching movies on the big screen. We’re about to say goodbye to that.

Sad to say it but it is what it is. I used to love going to the movies too and haven’t been in a theater in a long time. Crazy.

Is it finally time to drop this fear of covid-19??? Yes, Trump beating the virus himself is proof that it isn’t the most vicious virus some wanna believe…

I think all this fear of covid-19 is just silly and ridiculous. All this control and demands by the government, media and Dr. Fauci has gotta stop. Trump just proved that the virus is recoverable. Not the most vicious and dangerous virus like the media is trying to push it out as. All this bullshit has gotta stop… social distancing, facemasks, low capacity crowds during the slow reopening, etc. All of this has gotta stop and the country needs to fully re-open.

Yeah, Trump had covid himself and beat it in just a few days. I think that’s good enough to see that the virus isn’t dangerous like some wanna believe. Facemasks and social distancing doesn’t work and there’s no evidence proving that it does. Since the virus is invisible, I’m sure someone can catch it despite taking part in facemasks and social distance. They don’t work if Black Lives Matter and Antifa can still go out there and protest and riot while we are losing our freedoms like crazy. It’s insane that lefties freak out about us wanting to go out there and do things like take part in events and things like that but they can go out there and protest with their BLM shit. Lefties freak out about Covid-19 but they protest BLM in small towns and cities all over the USA… and most of the time social distancing isn’t followed by them.

Yo, if it’s dangerous for us to go out and do things for ourselves then you can’t go out there to protest your BLM bullshit. Virus’s go where they want to and anybody can catch them including protesters. This is weird and doesn’t make any sense how BLM are allowed to protest but we can’t do what we want.

All this bullshit will come to an end if we stop complying to all this power and control. There are all kinds of problems that are way worse than covid-19. Cornavirus is a virus that is easily recoverable and it’s fading away already.

There are people that die of way worse things like cancer, AIDs, heart disease… and also drug overdoes, suicides and violent crime like murder is more of a problem.

It really is time to drop the fear of all covid. I’m tired of it all ’cause this has gone on for far too long. A lot of people including myself been predicting that it’ll all stop sometime after Election Day and the country will fully reopen then. We could be wrong the virus could stick around after the election but I’m sure it’ll pass soon. The country will get back to normal sometime before this year ends, hopefully.

We can’t live like this forever. Yeah, the government and the media will try to keep it going forever but we can’t live like this. Sooner or later, the government and media will have no choice but to drop it all.

Hope you’re enjoying all this control and bullying. A country that I thought was once “free”. This is why you gotta stop voting Democrat. The country didn’t have to shut down and we didn’t have to be forced to wear facemasks ’cause this is all Democrats have to run on. Notice that they are the only ones telling everyone to “wear your mask”. Facemasks don’t work ’cause many Democrats been caught not wearing one… they only wear their mask when they are on camera.

Who cares about covid-19. Trump beating the virus is proof that there is hope. Living in fear is not good and that’s what the gov. and media wants.

New James Bond 007 flick, “No Time To Die” pushed back to April of 2021… smart move honestly…

This is the smartest move that Hollywood has ever done honestly and I actually like it and have no problem with the pushback! MGM and Universal announced today that the newest 007 Bond flick, “No Time To Die” is getting pushed back to April of 2021. It was originally going to be released in Nov. of this year but since the pandemic is still going on and many states across the US still having movie theaters closed, it makes more sense to release this film after this pandemic shit.

If they released this movie in Nov. as scheduled then many Bond fans won’t be able to see it in a theater and it would have a negative impact on box office numbers. Yeah, some states in the US do have movie theaters open now but the film would still lose a lot of money.

The studios really care for the Bond fans that really want to see the next Bond film which is the last film of the Daniel Craig era. They know a lot of people looking forward to the movie since the film getting a lot of buzz and they would feel bad if a lot of fans don’t get to see it ’cause of Covid so they thought it would be better to push it back.

I have no problem with it. I’m all for the pushback. They busted their ass making this film and worked really hard so why release it this year when not many will get to see it, ya know? Makes more sense to release it next year.

I’m a huge 007 fan. Seen all the Bond movies. Seen all 25 films and looking forward to the next one for sure.

If facemasks, social distancing and small capacity crowds work then why can’t live music and movie theaters return… Hmmmmmmm????

Yup, the country is starting to open still but with restrictions, very strict like “facemask” required and practicing social distance and small capacity crowds is required at businesses.

All that is fine and good, only thing though that bands & music artists across the USA whether national or local can’t have their live music still with a lot of venues closed and strict regulations and all that by their governors.

Movie theaters in some states across the USA are still closed.

My question is why can’t we have our live music and movie theaters back as long as facemask, social distancing and small capacity crowds work? As long as that stuff works then live venues like stadiums, arenas, smaller theaters, clubs and bars should be allowed for bands & artists to return. Bands and music artists whether national or local are still out of live music ’cause they have no venues to play in.

Even though they have no venues and places to play, bands & artists in America find other ways for them to have live music like have live music outdoors. There’s no stopping them doing that. People are smart enough to wear facemasks and practice social distancing and do that stuff even through outdoor live music with small capacity crowds. It works so live music should be able to make a return.

The same goes for movie theaters. Movie theaters should be able to return if facemasks, social distancing and small capacity crowds work. In movie theaters, why not block some seats off so people can be 6 feet apart more and have fewer people in the theaters? That won’t hurt anything at all but they’re still keeping movie theaters closed.

It’s crazy. If that stuff works in small businesses and restaurants then live music concerts and movie theaters should be allowed to return. I don’t see why not?

More proof that it’s about power and control? I would say so. Governors are obsessed with power and the more we give in to them and the more we comply, the more they abuse their power.

Bands and music artists in America need to be out there playing music ’cause that’s what they’re supposed to do. They can’t be staying home.

Movie theaters need to return ’cause all the new movies coming out, that’s hurting the box office the more some movie theaters stay closed. Hollywood needs to get back to work as well.

It’s ridiculous how bands and musicians are not allowed to play live and how they’re keeping movie theaters closed still. I’m hoping movie theaters return this year so I can go see the new Bond movie, “No Time To Die”… if not then I’m gonna have to wait for BluRay release, I guess. I wanted to go see the new Christopher Nolan film, “Tenet” but no movie theaters open to see it at that time and I’ve been dying to see that film too. Sucks so much.

This pandemic shit will be over with soon and I’m predicting sometime after the election ’cause it’s all about the election. All this power and control is just so Democrats can have something to run on ’cause that’s all they got.

When getting Back in the gym after time off from it, can’t really get into heavy lifting right away…

While it does feel real good to get back in a gym after time off from it due to pandemic, I really shouldn’t go crazy with the heavy lifting right away and I haven’t been. I’ve been going slightly lighter. It’s good to do that ’cause if you go wicked heavy right when you go in, you’re gonna feel so sore the next day you wouldn’t be able to walk around well… haha… knowing from my own experience. So I’m gonna take it easy for two weeks before I get back into serious lifting and strength training.

Yeah, I did lose a little bit of muscle probably but I can get it back. I’m back into powerlifting training on the big three: bench, deadlift and squat but like I said, taking it easy at first. Not gonna do any crazy heavy lifting just yet. I just gotta take some time to get used to the gym again, ya know?

When I do get back into serious strength training in powerlifting, I’m gonna really spend a lot of time trying to build up my pr numbers on the big three. Doing a lot of reading on powerlifting, I read that the secret to making quick progress is “never” missing a lift. You’re not gonna make progress by missing lifts all the time in powerlifting. I gotta stop missing lifts and maybe I’ll get somewhere soon.

If it wasn’t for this stupid pandemic, my powerlifting numbers would have had a major improvement but I’m gonna work on that for the rest of the year and all of next year. Focus on powerlifting. I’ll do still bodybuilding like always of course, I’ll never ignore hypertrophy training ’cause that’s important. I’m still gonna do those heavy sets and few reps on the big three.

I really want my pr numbers to go up and improve. I’m hoping to go over 300 lbs. on deadlift, hoping to get up to 200 lbs. on squat and bench too. Maybe a little more if I can.

I miss powerlifting training though and glad to get back into it finally. I really miss competing in powerlifting meets too as I didn’t get to do that this year. I wanted to compete for Albany Strength and wanted to compete for a USAPL meet since I registered for them but now all this pandemic shit happened. Someday I will compete in a powerlifting meet ’cause I love those. Maybe in 2021???? Cross fingers for now.

The future of Hollywood, will they ever go back to work? They are still shutdown…

Yeah, Hollywood is a mess right now… no doubt but many conservatives in America won’t publicly admit that they all watch movies and TV shows. Even through this pandemic while we are all on lockdown, that means Hollywood is on lockdown too. Many major movies and TV shows that were currently being made had to stop production. Movies that were already made before pandemic are being sent to streaming services and “on demand” releases ’cause many states in America don’t have movie theaters open. With no movie theaters open, that means there’s no where for Hollywood to release their films whether national or indie films. Future film releases go on streaming services or “On Demand” through TV like I said.

It’s harder to find new movies to watch ’cause with Hollywood out of work, that means directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, actresses are all stuck at home and they can’t give us any new entertainment as of this moment. Most of the movies getting released were made before the pandemic. Hollywood out of work, that means no film.

Believe it or not, Hollywood film people are all stuck at home like the rest of us. That’s why you’re seeing more movie stars online more often trying to entertain their fans in different ways: online q&a’s, live twitter chats, live stream, etc. Whatever.

Admittedly I do miss going to the movie theaters as I haven’t been in a movie theater in a couple of months. I still do try to catch new 2020 movie releases the best I can, though. I’m hoping movie theaters get back open this year and I’m sure they will come back. What will happen when movie theaters stay shut down through the Fall and Hollywood stays shut down? That means all the movies in the Fall will be pushed back even later and the new James Bond movie which is supposed to be the biggest movie of the year may not get released in theaters at all and might get an “on Demand” release. Same might happen with Spielberg’s remake of “West Side Story” and the Dune remake. We’ll have to see wait and see what happens.

You may think it or may not care but Hollywood is suffering through this pandemic. Yeah, Hollywood is in a lot of trouble right now with all this “pedo” stuff and the “Me too” movement but it’ll all calm down soon, I’m sure.

I still like to watch movies and you do too, admit it.

Why live wrestling shows with an actual crowd is important…

Yeah, even through this dumb covid-19 pandemic which is still going on, I still watch my wrestling. I try to keep up with RAW, NXT, Smackdown and the ppvs. In the beginning, the WWE started to have shows with no crowd at all. Now they brought back the live crowd but at a small capacity. The only problem with that, though, the live crowd with a small capacity are mostly wrestlers from NXT… and they are starting to bring back actual WWE fans too.

Even though the WWE are trying to bring back the fans, watching wrestling is still hard to watch and pretty boring. I just continue to watch wrestling ’cause there’s nothing better to do at night, ya know? Most of my TV watching is always at night. I never watch TV and streaming services during the day.

Anyhow, live wrestling in huge arenas full of fans is very important ’cause that’s what the wrestling business perform these shows for to begin with… they do these shows for the fans. That’s why these guys do what they do, perform for the fans. Fans in the crowd are important to wrestling shows ’cause it helps make the show feel a lot more lively, you get what I mean? It’s important for wrestlers to get over with the crowd whether they are heels or babyfaces. In wrestling terms, a heel means the badguy wrestler and babyfaces mean the good guy wrestler aka the hero. It’s important for wrestlers to perform for a live crowd so the crowd can boo the heels and cheer the babyfaces. Sometimes in wrestling it isn’t always like that, though… sometimes the crowd does cheer the heels whenever they like him and boo the baby faces. Examples of crowds cheering the heel wrestlers would be Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin when they started out as heels but fans started cheering for them… examples of fans booing the babyfaces would be John Cena for sure. Even though, John Cena was always a good guy, fans would boo him anyways. It’s fun to hear the crowd reactions ’cause it’s interesting to see them being honest on who they like and who don’t like. They also boo Roman Reigns even though he’s a babyface wrestler.

Listening to the crowd during wrestling shows, it’s the crowd that helps keep the matches exciting. There’s nothing like it when you see two wrestlers in the ring when they take a swing at each other with their arms and the audience goes “Oooooh”, “aaaaaah”, each time… and whenever a wrestler takes a nasty bump, they’ll chant “holy shit” or “this is awesome”.

Admittedly, I miss the live crowd during wrestling shows. When this covid-19 bullshit is all over and done with, I’m sure WWE will go back to doing shows at arenas and do their Wrestlemanias at stadiums. I miss all that myself but they’ll get back to all that. We just gotta wait longer, I guess.

I don’t know why non-wrestling fans criticize wrestling. I think it’s so much fun to watch, in my opinion. I’ve been a wrestling nerd my whole life, ever since I was a kid and still am a lover of wrestling today. Who are my favorite wrestlers you may ask???

Well… my all time favorites… I’ll have to go with Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Warrior, Owen Hart, CM Punk, Jericho, Randy Savage aka the Macho Man and Undertaker can get thrown in the list for sure. Also, Bret Hart.

As for today’s favorite wrestlers in today’s industry, I’m gonna go with AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor and Aleister Black. I would also pick Asuka from the women’s division.

Sure, the WWE is not the best anymore like it used to be in the 80’s and 90’s but I just continue to watch ’cause I respect the industry.

Looks like I’m gonna be without a gym for a while longer thanks to douchebag Cuomo…

Everybody kept thinking that gyms were going re-open in NY ’cause of Phase 4 but Gov. Cuomo was never clear or not on if gyms were a part of phase 4 re-opening in NY state. Then Cuomo responds claiming that gyms are not part of Phase 4 which is bullshit since Phase 4 clearly falls under education, recreation, arts and entertainment. I mean, you would think that “gyms” would fall under “recreation”, right? Then Cuomo claims that’s not he what he meant, huh??? This also includes malls and movie theaters staying closed that would fall under “arts” and “entertainment” in Phase 4.

https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2020/06/30/omitted-from-phase-four-reopening–gym-owners-gear-up-to-sue

I’m not gonna lie that NY being without gyms during this stupid lockdown is getting to me a little bit. I am going a little crazy, honestly ’cause if it weren’t for this stupid lockdown, I would have been going to the gym all summer continuing to get those bodybuilding gains and bringing up pr’s in powerlifting.

As you can see in the article I posted above, 100’s of gym owners are angry about it too and they’re suing the state to fight back… hoping to get the gym’s re-opened.

There’s no reason to keep gyms closed ’cause it’s all about control and power, in my opinion. Keeping gyms closed and forcing people to not get any exercise is not cool. A lot of us can’t have our own home gym ’cause of no space or can’t afford our own home gym.

This really sucks for weightlifters. Not being able to lift weights and lose all your progress and lose all of your years of hard work? Ugggggghhh… I’m not ready for that. It would suck that we had to go without gyms for the rest of the year but we can get gyms back open… we just gotta keep pressuring Cuomo so I’m glad all those NY gym owners filed lawsuit and fighting back.

I hope the gyms get back open this year ’cause as soon as it does, I’m going right back on the first day and I’ll be working harder than ever on the weightlifting. Yeah, I probably lost some muscle and strength but I’ll work really hard to get it all back.

There really is no reason to keep gyms closed as long as masks and social distancing works. Lefties can go out there and protest and destroy things but we can’t get in a good workout??? Yup, you can’t get covid-19 rioting and looting but you can get it going to the gym. Fucking unreal. Liberalism is getting more and more insane.

I miss the gym badly though ’cause it’s like my 2nd home really. My home away from home. It’s what I do to get away from everything. Weightlifting my passion.

More thoughts on the Coronavirus pandemic… it almost feels like the Walking Dead or those Mad Max movies… getting there…

Each time I go out in public, I almost feel like I’m in the Walking Dead or in those Mad Max movies… maybe Zombieland or “Contagion” or something like that… the George A. Romero flicks… blah blah blah…. the United States and the rest of the world starting to look like that.

Dead towns and dead cities with no one around at all but staying at home. There are people that still go out but only to go grocery shopping, get some supplies or get takeout food. That’s all you can do around here.

Even though most everything are closed, I still try to get out of the house somehow… just to go to the store or go for a ride with someone somewhere… just to get out ’cause this “stay at home” thing is really getting on my nerves now. Admittedly, I am mostly a homebody kind of guy but I only go out of the house to go to the gym, go for a walk or a bike ride or go shopping and see a movie in the theaters. Since I can no longer go to the gym, go shopping and go see a movie… I’m home a lot more. Yeah, admittedly I don’t work… have been unemployed for a long while but when the country opens back up, I’m gonna do my best to look for a job.

Anyhow, I find it scary that people are panicking over this virus. I’m not gonna panic and not gonna live in fear ’cause it’s not a good thing to do. People wearing masks and gloves everywhere out in public… that actually scares me more than the virus. People taking the news seriously. The news successfully got us to stay home and stay away from people… they’ve successfully killed the handshake and hugs, now they’re trying to get us to stay inside since the so-called death numbers are going up. If that isn’t more proof that the media creates panic then I don’t know what else it is.

They should be spreading positivity and calming people down instead of spreading panic. All this panic is all on the media. You turn on the news and all you do is see them trying to scare people to death. That’s more scary than the virus, in my opinion.

All the death numbers being thrown around are inaccurate at best and Dr. Fauci is a clown who isn’t to be trusted.

Whether or not the virus is real or fake, I don’t care either way, I’m not panicking. That’s not how I roll. I’ve always been the type of guy who isn’t afraid of anyone or anything. It’s understandable that people are scared for their lives but they really need to stop watching the news.

To keep myself busy during the shutdown, I just bought a bunch of albums from Itunes (about 12 albums) and 5 books for my Ipad ’cause I know you can’t go shopping out there at the time being. Buying a bunch of albums and books is something I won’t do again in a long time, just for this one time to keep myself occupied and help defeat boredom during this shutdown since you can’t go anywhere, ya know??? It sucks.

May as well shop digitally which I did. I’ve been trying to keep myself busy while stuck at home too…..

….. playing my guitar, working on music, playing video games, watching streaming services, doing some reading, doing some home workouts and I’m starting to go out for long walks since the warm weather is just about here.

This shutdown sucks and I hate it so much but we’ll get back to normal real soon.

Hope you all are doing well out there and stay strong.

Kev

I think the movie “Contagion” just came true… did the movie predict what may happen?

Everything going on right now in real life just happened in that movie “Contagion”… a movie directed by Steven Soderbergh and a film that has an all-star cast. A sci-fi thriller film that is about a virus outbreak and America goes to shutdown. It seems that in the movie they try to practice social distancing just like happening in real life right now.

I’ve seen “Contagion” several times before and they had this idea long before covid-19 and everything in that film is dead-on of what’s going on now. Crazy if you think about it but watch the old trailer and you’ll see what I mean.

I’m sure many of you have seen the movie too. haha…. Now I’m thinking that “Contagion” just predicted of what may happen in the future and we’re living in that right now.
