Film Of The Day: Big Trouble In Little China

This is one of my favorite old school action movies from the 80’s, “Big Trouble In Little China” starring Kurt Russell. Also, directed by John Carpenter. It’s an action movie and comedy both at the same time.It tells the story of a trucker named, Jack Burton, who agreed, to pick up Wang Chi’s fiance at the airport. Of course, she gets kidnapped by this man named Lo Pan because she has green eyes and he needs someone with green eyes, so he can regain his physical form. Jack also gets his truck stolen. So Jack, had no choice but to rescue this woman from Lo Pan, and try to get his truck back.

This film is what I call a classic, and it’s one of those movies that you must see, in order to call yourself a true movie buff. Everyone should know about this film, and if you haven’t, then you don’t know your movie history like you think you do. I think it’s one of Carpenter’s best films. It’s another one of those movies I can watch over and over, and never get tired of it. This movie is so entertaining. I really hope Hollywood doesn’t remake this flick, ’cause the film would be so hard to copy. Kurt is a badass in this one too. If you haven’t seen it, do so, soon!

Report: Christopher Nolan announces his next Batman-less directed project, “Interstellar”, to hit theaters, Nov. 7th, 2014…

You see, Christopher Nolan, is a film director and storyteller. He can’t direct superhero movies for the rest of his life, ya know? He needs to move on to other things and tell other stories. Give him a chance with his other work, and you would see that the man is a phenomenal storyteller and film maker. Christopher Nolan, announced, that he will direct a film called, “Interstellar” next, which looks to be a sci fi film. The film will be hitting theaters and Imax, Nov.7th, 2014.

No plot yet, but you probably won’t hear of the plot for a long while ’cause as you all know, Christopher Nolan, is obsessed with secrecy.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Nolan tries to get Christian Bale or Leo Dicaprio to star in the leading role for, “Interstellar”, though. Sounds like it’s going to be an epic sci-fi/action adventure, so expect another big CGI and special effects movie from Nolan.

More on the story, here.

I think my pecs are just fine the way they are, but I will always improve them, though…

When you put your progress pics out there for the world to see, you’re going to come across a lot of jealous people and some may even respond back with negative feedback. You work your ass off after years of hard work and dedication in fitness, yet other people want to put you down with their jealousy and ego. The trick is, don’t let that stuff bother ya. As long as people are getting jealous and getting mad, it’s actually a good thing. It means that you do have a successful muscular physique and people aren’t liking it. It bothers them ’cause they aren’t in that great shape themselves. The thing is, just think of all the negativity as motivation for your part. That’s how I look at it. The negative responses or no feedback at all, it’s just motivation to keep me going. Pumping iron in the gym and get even bigger.

The last thing you want to do is listen to opinionated people. If they say you need more work on this and more work on that, just take it for what it is, an opinion. If people say your physique sucks and all that stuff, don’t listen to any of it. They just want to put you down and upset you. They want to make it seem like you accomplished nothing, after all the hard work you did. What you are doing in the gym is an amazing thing. You are changing your life for the better, and that is being successful, no matter how ripped and jacked your body is or not. Other people should be proud of you, but again, jealousy gets in the way of everything. People won’t give you positive feedback because they don’t want to admit that you are in great shape.

These are kind of the stuff I am experiencing now. If I was just as pretty as Channing Tatum or Taylor Lautner, maybe everyone  (especially the ladies ) would give me positive feedback then. This is natural bodybuilding. I’m not gonna have a perfect and beautiful body like those fake men in the magazines. I can’t tell how good my physique looks, but as long as I’m getting mixed reactions, it’s letting me know I look good enough.

I think my pecs look like a bodybuilder chest now. Maybe not a large built, but a decent built. I posted that photo in facebook this morning, and it’s already starting to get positive feedback.  A few ladies replied too!

While I think I look pretty good now, I want to look even better in the future. I want to be that type of bodybuilder where everyone will go, “Oh wow, look at the size of that guy, you better not mess with him”. I can get big in size, and don’t listen to anyone who want to doubt you.

I think Justin Bieber needs to take a long hiatus from the music business, the work is getting to him…

For the past couple of weeks or months, Justin Bieber have been having a lot of problems lately. Getting caught smoking weed, feuding with the Black Keys drummer, having a bad birthday in London, fighting with the paparazzi, collapsing at a concert & getting sick, breaking up with Selena Gomez for good, etc. The list can keep going. I think what it is, that his work load is getting to him. That’s what happens to people when you work too much. It happens to everybody. You work way too much, you’ll start to have problems, and get all stressed out and stuff. Ever since Justin launched himself into fame after his youtube sensation, he has been working like a workhorse nonstop ever since. Doing too much work on albums and touring. All that stuff. It’s getting to him. That’s also what fame and money will do to you.

Of course, all the Beliebers, will start feeling sorry for him, so they will stay on his side no matter what happens.

I personally think, Biebs, should take some time off from music. Take a long break. Disappear for a while. Tabloids and the paparazzi are having a field day with him. He won’t take a long break of course, ’cause his ego will want to keep himself working, but that’s what other celebs have done when they’re having problems. Take a long break. Get their personal lives in order and get straightened out. That’s what Biebs needs to do.

I think it’s idiotic that everything Biebs does have to be huge news. So what if he goes shirtless or if he walks around wearing nothing but boxers. That’s how the media works in this day and age. It’s never about the music anymore, it’s about the celebrity. That’s part of what makes today’s industry, makes me sick.

Come on, Justin. You can do this. Hang it up for a little while before the fame & fortune kills you for good ’cause it will. Fame can drive people into depression and suicide.

Latest bodybuilding pose, twitter exclusive…

I think I’m getting some improvements. The chest seems to be getting better results. I’ve been staying away from dumbbells and benching for the chest workouts, I’ve been doing all kinds of push ups, and the push ups is kind of helping, I think. That’s for you to judge.

I don’t post these photos online for attention or to jerk myself off with,  I post ’em to get feedback. I can’t tell how good my physique look, so I let other people tell me whether it’s good or not. I like what I see, though. That’s a natural look. It’s real. Not photo shopped. No steroids. No supplements. No pro hormones. It’s all just clean eating and hard work.

Check out the photo, here.

Do the ladies think I look hot, yet? LOL, kidding but ya never know, though!

Film of the Day: Raiders of the Lost Ark

This will always be my favorite Spielberg movie, and this will always be the best Indy film. “Raiders of The Lost Ark” is such a classic and it’s another film, I can watch over and over. I like all 4 Indy movies (yes, even “Crystal Skull”), but this one “Raiders”, will always stand out. It’s not only a great adventure story with good plot and good acting, it’s also a great action movie. I know Steven Spielberg is not the best at making action movies, but he did the best job with the action sequences in “Raiders”. Every action scene in this movie was pretty intense,  and they can get so exciting that you want even more from, Indy.

Belloq is one of those villains that you want to hate and the actor who played him does a phenomenal job. There are so many emotions with, “Raiders”. It can get exciting, fun, scary, and there are some sad scenes as well. Yes, there a few scary scenes in “Raiders”, that almost felt like a horror film, especially the controversial Ark Ceremony toward the end of the movie. While I do like all 4 Indy films, I do admit that the Indy franchise kind of went downhill after this. They will never make an amazing Indy film like this ever again. I do think, “Temple of Doom” is almost just as good as “Raiders”.

The metronome…

I have been playing guitar along with a metronome a lot more often. It’s coming along really well. Counting rhythm along with a metronome is actually pretty easy. Not that hard as you think. Every time I pick up the guitar, I turn the metronome on. Still trying to get a sense of rhythm and timing better. This Spring/Summer, I think I’m planning on looking for a drummer to jam with. Just a drummer, not an actual band. I want to jam with a drummer ’cause it would help me test out my timing skills. Timing is everything in music. It must be taken seriously. It is important ’cause that way you won’t slow down or speed up by accident in a middle of the song. A metronome and a drummer will help you keep a steady tempo. If you play in time, people will take your songs a lot more seriously. Playing in time will help write your songs better and will help you play better guitar solos too. Most importantly, the secret to playing tighter and with more energy is timing. Understand the timing in music, and you would be able to play just about any genre of music.

While I mostly want to be a rock n’ roll and hard rock kind of songwriter, I need to switch it up and vary the genres. I need to be versatile, so I will be writing folky slow ballads. Maybe I will play a little bit of blues and jazz sometime in the future. I need to try everything.

I’m really trying to improve my musicianship ’cause I want to get better at songwriting and playing better guitar solos. Trying all I can and loving every bit of it.

Happy International Women’s Day…

I know I’ve been coming across as hateful against women in this blog a little bit, but it’s not true. I love women. As I’ve said before, they’re my favorite. I’ll publicly admit that I don’t have too much experience with them, but I’m learning more about them and trying to understand them. I’ve been told that if you want women to get to like you, that you must show them respect. Give them nice compliments. Tell her that she’s beautiful and gorgeous, instead of hot, if she’s attractive to you. Be confident. Make her laugh and make her smile a lot, and the next thing you know, she’ll be all over you before you know it. I’m beginning to feel that women aren’t that hard to talk to, they are pretty easy to talk to, in fact, as they are just real people like us. Treat them like people, you can be friends with any of them.

I like women of all types. Well, except for blondes and redheads. I’m more into the brunettes. I don’t really care what women look like in fact, as long as they are cool people and fun to talk to, that’s all I care about. That’s what I look for, a personality. Personality first, attraction second.

I know this holiday is meant to celebrate women around the world, but I love those Asian women, they are my favorite as well.

When it comes to international women’s day, everyone likes to talk about the female celebrities. Who are my favorite female celebrities? Well for starters, Marilyn Monroe. I also love Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Mila Kunis, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, and that girl who plays Maggie in, “The Walking Dead”.

Women are amazing. Someday, I’ll get the right one, if there is such a thing.

Film Of the Day: “The Last of the Mohicans”…

Okay, time to get rolling with these, “Film of the Day”, things. I’ll try to do these daily the best I can. “The Last of the Mohicans”, is one film that means a lot to me. I love this film so much. I remember seeing it in theater when it first came out, and this is one film I’ll never get tired of watching ever. While Daniel Day-Lewis had a lot of great roles in his career, his role as Hawkeye tops them all. This is a beautiful film, directed by Michael Mann. I did read the book but to be honest, I love the movie way more. The movie is what the book should have been, they’re both totally different, of course. Everything about the movie is so perfect. The acting, cinematography, the musical score, the action scenes, etc. Just a beautiful film all around, and I always get goosebumps watching it.

The film is set during the French and Indian Wars, tells the story about three Indian trappers, who must protect the British Colonel’s daughters.

This film gets me every time I see it. If you haven’t seen this film, then you must.

I know I’ve been silent on here a lot more this week but…

… I’ll try to post on this blog more this weekend.

I keep busy trying to do other things. I just bought the new “Tomb Raider” game last Tuesday on the day it came out, and I’ve been playing that game since then. The game is really amazing. It’s the best “Tomb Raider” game, I think. I’ll give the game a full detailed review after I complete the main story line game. It is worth the 60 dollars, I’m happy I got the game. It’s a big time survival game, for sure. It’s a new era for Lara Croft, a reboot, I think. Killer game, though. The graphics are out of this world, and the gameplay is such a blast.

In other news, I know that guitarist Alvin Lee died, I haven’t gotten around to posting the obit yet, but will get to it. It’s just kind of hard to keep up with the celebrity deaths, so I can’t really get to all of them. I also forgot about the “Film of the Day” stuff, and will try to get going on that stuff daily tomorrow as well.

There are too many topics I need to talk about. I’ve just been finding other things to do than just hanging on the computer. I’ll get the blog going again this weekend.
