Report: Friday Night Lights to get a season 4? Major announcement about that today!!!

Direct TV and NBC are in negotiations to reveal their decision on the show’s fate publicily sometime today. “Friday Night Lights”, was almost in danger of not renewing since the show came back for a Season 3 this year. The two companies would not reveal details yet until the annoucement is made today, sometime this afternoon or later this evening.

Don’t fret “FNL”  fanatics. Variety says the news of the show would be good, that fanatics like myself would be happy about. So it is possible that the show will have a two season 26 episode of the show’s future.

As some of you may know, I’m a huge fan of this show. It’s a wonderful show, I love it so much. It would be sad if the show only lasted a couple of seasons, I really hope this show goes on for a long time. This year’s season 3 is getting so good, I’m hooked to this show.

I’ll be looking out for the big announcement today, so look out for a breaking news report of the show in my blog.

Report: Green Day’s “American Idiot” heading to the theatre stage…a musical?

It’s official. One of Green Day’s best albums ever made, “American Idiot” is heading to the theatre stage for a musical. “American Idiot” is a rock opera album inspired by the Who’s rock opera theme with their music. Theatre director, Michael Mayer, will helm, the “American Idiot” staged play. Michael Mayer worked very closely with Green Day’s frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, to bring the album to the stage. The band will of course, be credited for the play’s work. There are no plans of bringing this to Broadway at this time.

Report: Hugh Hefner selling home next door of Playboy Mansion for about 30 million…

Is Hugh Hefner a victim of a bad economy that caused him to sell a home that he owns next door of his Playboy Mansion? Reports are breaking the web that The Hef is selling a home next door for 30 million.

TMZ reports:

http://www.tmz.com/2009/03/28/can-a-playmate-spare-some-sugar/

Call me crazy, but I don’t think I would want to live next door to the Playboy Mansion. I love naked women, tits and ass and all that like all guys do, but I would want my peace and quiet.

And who would want to see Hugh Hefner walking around outside in his red robe which he probably wears nothing under? When the Hef has those Playboy parties, I don’t think I’d enjoy that either. Screaming women, loud music, who knows what kind of noise couples would be making next door of the Playboy mansion when they’re having a one night stand, etc. It would be disastrous.

Really though, I don’t see men trying to buy the 30 million dollar house just to live next door to the Playboy bunnies. I believe that model women will be trying to buy it just so they can try and please Hugh Hefner to hire them for a pictorial in the mag.

If someone actually does buy that house, I don’t think they’d live there long.

Great music mysteries, hoaxes and rumors…

Yahoo compiled a short list of the greatest music mysteries, hoaxes and rumors.

Check it out here:

http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/getback/103722/great-music-mysteries-hoaxes-and-scams/

While that’s a great list and I agree with all of it…I wanted to point out some other very important ones that they are missing:

  • Keith Richards snorting his father’s ashes (how can they forget this one?)
  • Led Zeppelin going on world tour and record new album (Page, Plant, Jones and Jason Bonham have been getting these rumors non stop since the great O2 reunion. The band only came back for that one gig, ever since then people never stopped talking about them touring when the band has denied it every single time)
  • Jimmy Page being a devil worshipper…(Page has been accused of being supportive of Satan and the devil, due to his weird Black Magic and the song “Stairway to Heaven” being about something similar.)
  • David Bowie is gay (like the article says, there were rumours of David Bowie sleeping with Mick Jagger, and David has been accused of being gay plenty of times over the years, but the man has always denied it. Sometimes he’s admitted to it and next thing he denies it back and forth. Reason people probably think Bowie is gay is because back in the 60’s and 70’s, David used to wear all this weird make up and costumes when he’s performing on stage.)
  • Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” played backwards where there’s a line that says “it’s fun to smoke marijuana”.
  • Jim Morrison is alive in France.
  • Milli Vanilli was the first musician to get caught lip synching.
  • David Lee Roth almost killed by eating peanuts, been hospitalized for it too while driving. Remember this story? Turns out that the guy that almost died eating peanuts wasn’t really him, it was a David Lee Roth look alike. The real David Lee Roth denied this story, sayin’ it was all bunch of baloney, and David is still alive and well.

I’m sure there are plenty of more. Feel free to name some that aren’t listed yet.

Thought: I want this guy casted for, “The Expendables”, Sly are you reading?

Sly, if you’re somewhat reading this blog, somehow and someway, here’s an idea for a great addition for the casting of your next movie, “The Expendables”. I recently watched a movie called, “Red Belt” last night, it’s a drama/sports kind of film. I thought the movie “Red Belt”, was absolutely incredible, and it immediately became one of my favorite films of all times.

I would like Chiwetel Ejiofor to be casted in, “The Expendables”, ’cause I think he would be a perfect addition. I prefer him to be Hale Caesar instead of Terry Crews, but if you have another black character in, “The Expendables”, I think Chiwetel would be great for the movie.

Chiwetel is definitely a tough action movie guy. He’s not so well known and could use the recognition by starring in one of your movies. You’ve probably seen him in other movies such as “Children of Men”, “Serenity”, “American Gangster”, etc. This dude is a great actor and would make a perfect, Expendable.

I doubt Sly would consider him, but it is a nice request.

Report: John Cena challenges The Rock for “Wrestlemania 26″…

WWE superstar, and the leading star of the action film, “12 Rounds”, John Cena speaks out to MTV News, challenging the Rock to a main event match for “Wrestlemania 26” next year. John Cena may not get to wrestle the Rock for this year’s Wrestlemania but there’s always next. Will the Rock come back to WWE next year to accept John Cena’s challenge finally? The Rock vs. John Cena in a wrestling match never happened in WWE before. It’s a dream match that wrestling fans want. So please Dwayne, next year, take some time off from movies, and come back to WWE for a little while.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/03/27/john-cena-wants-a-piece-of-the-rock-at-wrestlmania-xxvi/

Now that sounds like a good main event for next year’s Wrestlemania: The Rock vs. John Cena. I want to see that match too if it’ll ever happen.

My idea for main events for next year’s Wrestlemania:

The Rock vs. John Cena

Stone Cold vs. Hulk Hogan (another dream match that never happened)

Bret “The Hitman” Hart vs. HBK Shawn Michaels (a rematch that all wrestling fans are dying to see!!!)

The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho (another dream match that never happened, Jericho is always picking on the legends of WWE, he’s never had a feud with the Undertaker yet, here’s hoping this will happen next year!)

Now, that sounds like a Wrestlemania!!! I doubt those matches would ever happen, but it’ll be nice.

Report: Harold Ramis speaks out about “Ghostbusters 3” film, it’s still moving forward…

Harold Ramis speaks to MTV News about “Ghostbusters 3” film. He says it’s still happening and all 4 original Ghostbusters: Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson are still down to reprising their roles. Ramis says there is no final script yet, there isn’t even a first draft yet, but he says they are still doing the idea of the original Ghostbusters passing the torch to a younger generation of Ghostbusters. So this means after “Ghostbusters 3”, there will probably be a whole new “Ghostbusters” trilogy but with the young cast, and not the original stars.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/03/27/exclusive-ghostbusters-update-straight-from-egon/

As long as they don’t have Rob Pattison or Zac Efron in “Ghostbusters 3”, then it’ll be good.

For the young Ghostbusters, they should just have an unknown cast, no big name stars to play the younger Ghostbusters. Having an unknown cast for the young Ghostbusters will make them big stars. They should take that idea but I doubt they will, they probably would go for big names.
