Report: Brown gave Rihanna severe injuries…TmZ confirms…

This is bad, I hope Chris Brown rots in prison for a long time for this. I hope Chris Jericho is paying attention to the Rihanna news too.

Rihanna is talented, I dig her tunes. Like I said, I’m not into dance, pop, and R&B, sometimes I’ll listen to a little bit of it when I want to listen to something other than loud rock music. Rihanna is one of them.

It didn’t take long for NBC to find a replacement for Jerry Springer to host, “America’s Got Talent”. Nick Cannon has been confirmed to be the host this year for the talent show. Those who don’t know who he is, he is the current husband of legendary pop star, Mariah Carey.

Thought: Why I think classic horror films are being remade…

Many movie fans don’t like the idea of the horror industry of film remaking all the horror classics like “Friday the 13th”, “Halloween”, “Texas Chainsaw”, “Hellraiser”, “Child’s Play”, etc. Why is Hollywood remaking so many great classics that we all once loved in the earlier days? Is Hollywood ruining classic movies that we grew up watching? Do you think it’s a bad idea that Hollywood is remaking all the horror flicks from the past?

My answer is no. Hollywood remaking horror flicks is a good idea and they aren’t ruining the originals at all. Why is Hollywood remaking older flicks? Is it for the money? Yes, part of it is. Is it because they needed an updated version of it? Yes, part of it is too. I don’t think it’s because the director of the remake has his own version of the movie and he’s just dying to get it off his chest.

The only reason I can think of why Hollywood is remaking every horror flick out there is because: 1) The classic franchises like “Friday the 13th” “Halloween”, “Child’s Play” are getting too old and there is no need for those films to continue in sequels anymore, they want to entertain die hard horror fans who loved those movies in the past…2) The big one is technology with film.

With all this technology with today’s films, they can make all the blood and gore, and gross out scenes more realistic looking. Back in the old days of horror films in the early 80’s and 90’s, we didn’t have computer effects called CGI back then. They also didn’t use these special high tech camera equipment and most horror films back in those days didn’t use real film locations, most of them used studio rooms.

This is why I feel Hollywood is remaking all the horror classics because of today’s technology in film making that they never got to use in the earlier days. Most horror films in the past were made low budget and I assure you that the directors who made those films probably visioned those films to be high budget but they couldn’t afford all that back in those days.

If these films don’t get remade at all, people would forget the horror icons that we all looked after: Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, Freddy, etc. Keeping the franchises going without adding sequel after sequel is a good plan and that’s another reason for rebooting all the horror series. I mean why would there be a “Friday the 13th part 20:” or” A Nightmare On Elm St. Part 35″? It wouldn’t make sense if they kept the sequels going so Hollywood had no choice but to stop the sequels and restart the whole series over again with a whole new level.

On top of that, I look forward to seeing the “Friday the 13th” remake this Friday afternoon. I’m definitely seeing it as the film looks amazing and looks better than the original series. I hope it don’t dissapoint. I hate it when trailers make the movie look so amazing, then when you actually go see the movie, it sucks. I hope that won’t be the case with “Friday the 13th” remake, I’m sure it will be a good one. I’ll review it of course.

Just wanted to make a point that I’m not bothered by horror films getting remade, I find it fine with me. I enjoy seeing what they can do to the new versions. I don’t see how they are killing the original film at all.

Report: Jericho could get charged for assault by his victims…

More details on the Chris Jericho controversy after a WWE show in Victoria, B.C. have been reported. The man and woman who allegedly assaulted pro wrestler Chris Jericho, have been arrested by local authorities in Victoria but released without being charged. The man who’s name is Kalen Johl is a young asian fan is the one who started the altercation by heckling Chris Jericho as he was driving out of the arena.

When Jericho saw Johl heckling him, Jericho got out of his vehicle to confront him, Jericho calling him all kinds of derogatory and racist comments about Johl. That’s when the whole mob of WWE fans surrounded Jericho. Johl’s girlfriend, Ashley Levey called Jericho a racist and that’s when Jericho punched her.

She now wants Jericho, charged with assault.

More on it here:

http://www.timescolonist.com/news/wrestler+altercation+with+Victoria+fans+blocked+several+hundred+people/1267288/story.html

Go for it! I’d say charge Jericho for assault, let him and WWE know that profesional wrestlers aren’t always above the law when getting into fights for real with people outside of wrestling.

If what Ashley Levey says it’s true, that means Jericho started the whole altercation and brought it all upon himself, by getting out of his truck to confront the kid, when Jericho should be adult enough to ignore him and drive away.

I actually hope Jericho gets charged. If you’re a profesional wrestler getting heckled by fans you should never react with violence in return. Jericho is fucking pathetic, fighting with a bunch of kids that are like what, between 15 – 20 year olds? LOL!

I’m sure Jericho can’t fight a full grown man in a real fight.

Thought: The Best and Worst of the Grammy’s last night, my opinion…

The Best

  • Whitney Houston appearance, presents Jen Hudson an award. Ya know, like that moment or hate it, you have to admit that when you’re a young singer being at the top of your game, and you’re on stage with Whitney, a legendary pop diva handing you an award in person, that clearly means that Jen Hudson is a legend in the making. Jen Hudson is no legend yet, but what I mean by “legend in the making”, she will become the next Tina Turner/Whitney Houston in the next 20 or 30 years. People are not doing this to Jennifer because of her family tragedy, Jen is getting all of these opportunities because she is talented and unique in her own ways. Her family tragedy has nothing to do with her fame because she was getting the fame before her family murders anyway. I’m not into R&B music much, it’s not my style of music, but I fuckin’ love Jen Hudson, though. She’s probably the best of the American Idol contestants
  • Kid Rock performance…Kid Rock is not everyone’s favorite, but I’ve always been a fan. He’s a good songwriter and writes good tunes in my opinion.
  • Radiohead performance, I think the marching band Radiohead had with them on stage wasn’t needed, but the song they did was pretty good.
  • The Justin Timberlake and T.I. collaboration – That was actually one of the moving and intense performances of the night. I liked it.
  • Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and T-Bone performing…this is probably the only thing worth watching the Grammy’s for.

The Worst:

  • Taylor Swift/Miley Cyrus performing together.
  • Katy Perry performing that annoying “I Kissed A Girl” song, I’m so sick of that song.
  • U2 performance, I think “Get On Your Boots” is a good song, but that performance was terrible. U2 are not good live performers anymore, I think it’s about time for them to hang it up and call their new album, their last and retire.
  • No mention and no tribute of the “50 Year Anniversary – the Day The Music Died”, the big 50 year anniversary and no mention of Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper? So the Grammy’s do a tribute on Bo Diddley instead? What a joke!!!
  • The Jonas Brothers performing with Stevie Wonder, it seems that good old Stevie would perform with anybody on stage these days. Instead of the Jonas Brothers performing “Superstition” with Stevie, I’d rather have Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Whitney Houston singing with Stevie instead.
  • Carrie Underwood performance, the only good thing about this performance is that killer female electric guitarist, that blond chick holding the red electric guitar playing all them killer solos, she was a great guitar player, I wonder who she is.

Thought: Blink 182 will not fly on tour, I think…

With the Blink 182 reunion being official from last night’s Grammy’s, it got me thinking that when they said they will go on world tour, they will not fly. They’re travelling across the states, they’ll probably travel by bus, if they tour overseas, they’ll probably travel by boat and rental vehicles. I remember Travis Barker vowing to never fly again, so in the tour lineup, I think they’ll make the tour dates a few days apart to give them time to travel since the band probably won’t be flying.

I was never a Blink 182 fan, but a reunion of the band is good news, I guess.

BREAKING NEWS: McG finally confirms Arnold appearance in “Terminator: Salvation” at NY Comic Conn!!!!

FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!! While everyone knew that Arnold will possibly be in the new “Terminator: Salvation” flick, McG announced at the NY Comic Con, that Arnold as the Terminator will indeed have a small role. Arnold as the Terminator will be in action too. Ever since T-4 has been announced, McG kept quiet on the Arnold cameo, I guess he figures the NY Comic Con is the perfect time to confirm the news.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/02/08/mcg-confirms-schwarzenegger-appearance-in-terminator-salvation-well-sort-of/

Hopefully when Arnold is done being governor, he’ll agree to return to the leading roles in Terminator 5 and 6.

During the Christian Bale tirade, maybe this was the emotional scene they were talking about, it was the Arnold cameo that caused Christian and the film makers to flip out.

RANT: Keeping your personal life seperate away from the public…

Being an open book about yourself online when you’re blogging about your life like on an online journal or myspace blog or whatever sounds like fun and it may sound pretty cool to be an “open book” about yourself on the public internet, but the truth is, it isn’t a good idea.

I used to do this in the past in livejournals/myspace before I started using blogs to view my thoughts on entertainment news, but being an open book on your private life will only bite you in the back pretty hard and then people will start making all these rumours about you that aren’t even true. You’ll never know who is reading your journals/myspace blogs and you’ll never know how many people will be reading.

I made a vow a while ago, that I will never discuss my private and personal life with anybody. Whether it’s about my family, financial budgets, my sex life, women, health, etc. Whatever it is.

When ever I see other people talking about that stuff online whether in anonymous blogs or youtube videos, I’ll never respond to any of it. Why? Because the answer is simple, what I do in my life is my business, not yours. People have no right to talk about your personal life. When you see that happening, do not respond to any of it, ignore it all and just let ’em keep talking. Everyone knows that everything people say about you or myself are all made up lies and stories. They do it, they enjoy seeing you responding to it and they want to create a rise out of you.

Be happy, stay strong, be upbeat and enjoy life. Being yourself and doing what you want to do is all that matters, who cares what anybody else thinks about you. Do not let the online tabloids about you, bring you down. Let ’em keep talking ’cause they are just making you more popular. I think it’s funny stuff that people would waste their time and life making tabloids about people online anyway.

BREAKING NEWS: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss wins for “Album of the Year”!!!!

Oh my! What a Grammy shocker! I thought the “Album of the Year” award was going to go to Coldplay, but Robert Plant and Alison ended up taking the win.

“Raising Sand” is actually a fantastic album, I love it a lot, so this award is well deserving.

Robert and Alison are three time Grammy winners tonight.

I didn’t really care for most of tonight’s Grammy’s but I actually liked a few performances. Robert, Alison and T. Bone of course performed great. I liked the Radiohead performance. Jen Hudson did good, and yes, I’m a Kid Rock fan so I liked his performance as well.

It was an ok Grammy’s show. Nothing great or nothing amazing, but it was okay and pretty decent.
