I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

“Spiderman: No Way Home” was definitely the best Spiderman movie ever made, I really was impressed with that one…

So last Thursday afternoon, I went to see the new Spiderman movie, “No Way” home which is the third film of the Tom Holland trilogy. Before I went to see the newest Spiderman flick, I decided to go back and watch the 3 Tobey Maguire Spiderman movies directed by Sam Raimi and I’ve re-watched the two “Amazing Spiderman” movies with Andrew Garfield. I’m glad I watched all the Spiderman movies before this one ’cause this one had so many surprises, it’s crazy.

And yes, like the title says in this post, “Spiderman: No Way” was surprisingly the best Spiderman movie ever made. All the ones before this one were just “pretty good” but wow, this one “No Way Home” was a real surprise and a major improvement for sure.

The writing was really good… it had a smart script for a change. I gotta be careful to review this movie without big spoilers ’cause there’s still too many that didn’t see this movie yet. The acting of the cast did a very good job as well including Tom Holland. I wasn’t that crazy with Tom as Peter Parker/Spiderman in “Homecoming” and “Far From Home” but Tom’s acting in “No Way Home” was 10 x’s way better. Tom was very good in “No Way Home”, I was impressed with him.

Of course, Willem Dafoe coming back as the Green Goblin, man that was quite a performance too. Willem Dafoe kills it in almost every role he plays over the years in his career but this movie was his best performance for sure. He probably won’t get Oscar nominated for this one but he should, I think it’s worthy. I was blown away with Willem’s performance in this one.

I also thought Benedict Cumberbatch did a great job playing Doctor Strange again, that dude is a great actor as well and I love the Doctor Strange character. After seeing this movie, really makes me want to see the “Doctor Strange” sequel which comes out later this year and I will make sure to see that one.

The action scenes were a blast to watch. It was a fun action movie too and I was impressed with the cinematography and the CGI was surprisingly pretty cool.

Finally a superhero movie that tells a good story and a “smart” story. It was a phenomenal movie and it blew me away. If you thought Marvel couldn’t top “Avengers: Endgame”, I think they just did with “Spiderman: No Way Home”. If you want to go see this movie, I’d suggest you watch all Spiderman movies before this one though or else you’re gonna get confused… yes, that means all the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield flicks.

To the director of “Spiderman: No Way Home” whose name is Jon Watts, bravo to a job well done. I’d give a perfect 10/10. No complaints at all.

Happy new year, y’all… my blog isn’t as big and popular anymore but that’s okay, I blog for myself…

Happy 2022, y’all.

2021 was an okay year. I would’ve kept the lifting at the gym thing going throughout that year like with my powerlifting and bodybuilding training but then that dumb and pointless lockdown thing happened. It kept me out of the gym for a while and I’ll admit that it kind of messed up my gains a little bit…

… but the goal for 2022 is to keep the lifting at the gym going all year. Yes, the powerlifting training continues on the big three lifts: bench, squat and deadlift and I’m gonna work on improving all three. I’m still doing bodybuilding training as well and because of that lockdown and dealt with a few minor injuries that wasn’t that big of a deal, I’m trying to get my strength and gains back.

I’ll never give up the powerlifting training though ’cause I love it.

Anyway, I did see the new “Spiderman: No Way Home” movie in theater last Thursday afternoon and I’m about to review that movie in a new post soon.

For 2022, I would like to start getting “work” again… ya know an actual paying job… I’m gonna try but with this pandemic thing still going on and with most “jobs” being vax only nowadays, it’s getting harder and harder to get work which is honestly the goal of the Democrats. They use “covid” as a way to destroy the economy, really. The left wants to do everything they can to ruin your life.

In other news, the best of Movies and Music lists for 2021 are coming soon. I’ll do the music one first and then the movies list later ’cause there’s still some more 2021 movies I need to see.

2021 was an okay year but it would have been better if covid and the lockdown didn’t happen. Hopefully the lockdown never happens again ’cause that was bad. I think 2022 the pandemic will be over with at some point… I can’t see it gong on for another whole year.

Hope all readers are doing well.

The “Don’t Look Up” movie on Netflix was kind of a disappointment really… interesting concept, though…

Last week, I watched the “Don’t Look Up” movie on Netflix right away ’cause I was real curious about it. The storyline sounded intriguing on how two astronomers discovered that a comet is about to hit Earth and destroy humanity but nobody won’t believe them. The story had an interesting concept and all but the movie itself kind of sucked.

Bad cinematography and direction is what I didn’t like most about it. Writing could have been better, though. If you’re a leftist leaning person then you’ll probably like it ’cause the movie made Republicans look bad.

It’s a movie with an all star cast… a bunch of a-list actors in it but it still wasn’t that good. I thought the cast member of “Don’t Look Up” that did the best acting was Mark Rylance who played that tech billionaire CEO of Bash and I smell another Oscar nomination coming for this film for him? Probably and I also smell a few other Oscar nominations coming for this film too. And I guess another great performance by Leo Dicaprio and Jennifer Lawrence was enjoyable too, though.

And the ending kind of sucked. This is a one-time watch for me.

Could I start making pop and dance music one day? Yes, I want to and planning on it… will still make rock n’ roll, though…

I think I posted in the past before that I’ve been listening to a lot of pop, dance and R&B music lately. I continue to listen to that stuff today… recently I just purchased two of Aaliyah’s albums “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number” and “One In a Million”, now I see why Aaliyah music matters ’cause she was really good. A great talent gone too soon and I just purchased the Olivia Rodrigo album “Sour” from Itunes not too long ago. Haven’t listened to that one yet but will soon.

I’ve been getting a lot of Pop, dance and R&B music lately. Not sure why. I guess this stuff is really growing on me. Thanks to listening to David Bowie music over the years ’cause as you all know most of his music is “pop” music than rock n’ roll and I guess I got used to listening to pop music ’cause of of him really.

If I want to start writing pop songs of my own, I’m gonna need a keyboard synthesizer or some kind of midi controller in order to make EDM music (Electronic Dance Music). When you want to make EDM music, it requires rhythm and timing. You gotta know your time values. If you want to make “good” dance music, it requires a little bit of metronome knowledge than anything. When you want to dance to a song, you gotta have good timing skills. That’s why so many dance hits out there like Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Prince and artists such as those are danceable ’cause of timing. It’s really about the “beat”, ya know? That’s all it takes. Making dance music isn’t hard as it sounds. Most dance music is just 4 or 5 chords anyways. Very simple, that’s all it takes. I could probably make my own music like you would hear at a nightclub.

I could probably make my own dance songs for sure but I’ll never ignore rock n’ roll & metal ’cause I still want to do that too. I’ll probably do the rock & metal thing first and then the dance music later.

I do want to get back into songwriting again.

Hope you all had a great Christmas… it was a good one for me…

Hope all you readers had a great Christmas weekend. It was a good one for me.

I did pretty good for gifts this year. Just got a new bicycle, some movies on BluRay, a book about Eddie Van Halen, a few Batman graphic novels, two video games for my PS4, gift cards and a few other assorted things.

Last week, I took Christmas week off from the gym ’cause I came down with a cough. The cough/cold wasn’t too bad but I decided to stay home from the gym for a week ’cause I didn’t want to go in gym while “pandemic” is still going on… they might kick me out if they catch me coughing and that’s what I was afraid of, ya know? So I was like, fuck it, I’ll take Christmas week off of the gym but I went back today for chest day. Had a good chest day and feel good. Now relaxing.

I’m planning to go see the new “Spiderman: No Way Home” movie really soon, maybe even this week so I’ll post a review of that movie but I’m gonna give “Spiderman: Homecoming” and “Spiderman: Far From Home” a re-watch this week. Yeah, as you can see, even though movie theaters are slowly disappearing, I still go to the movie theaters ’cause I love to, ya know? I love going to see the new releases when they come out in theater. Movies were meant to be seen on the big screen, not the small screen.

Also last week, I spent most of last week watching a Star Trek movie marathon on Hulu and watched all 10 Star Trek movies last week. Who needs to watch Christmas movies, ya know?

Now onto New Year’s.

15 Movies to Look Forward to in 2022…

Well it’s almost the end of the year and I’m gonna do my lists for Top Best Music & Movies of 2021 real soon. I didn’t do these lists last year at all, I don’t think? Well, I promise I’ll do these lists for this year. I’ll figure ’em out.

Anyhow, this is the first list but this isn’t a best of. These are the films that I look forward in the year for 2022… enjoy the list:

  • The Batman – The Matt Reeves directed “Batman” movie starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman comes out in a few months. I think it looks amazing so far so I’m gonna absolutely make it to see this one in theater since I’m a huge Batman nerd anyways. Can’t wait for this one.
  • Scream – I’m a huge fan of the “Scream” movies and can’t wait for the reunion movie where everyone comes back this time… Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, the whole gang. Can’t wait for this one.
  • Uncharted – Movie based upon the video game starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Hope it don’t suck, I’m a fan of these games.
  • Top Gun: Maverick – Been looking forward to the new “Top Gun: Maverick” movie but it keeps getting pushed back, hope the release date sticks this time ’cause I’m looking forward to seeing this one. I’m a huge Top Gun fan and dying to see the sequel.
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Netflix) – This isn’t another Texas Chainsaw reboot but a sequel to the original directed by Tobe Hooper, a continuation of the 1974 original. No trailer to this film yet but I’m sure it will be coming soon. Gonna be a Netflix exclusive.
  • The Northman – This is a movie about a Viking story directed by Robert Eggers and has an all star cast. It has pop singer, Bjork, in a role in this movie. I love Viking stories and seen the trailer and it looks good. Robert Eggers is the same guy that directed movies like “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse”.
  • The Unbreakable Weight of Massive Talent – This is a movie starring Nicolas Cage in the leading role and this is a big screen film being released everywhere in theaters. Where has Nic Cage been? He hasn’t really gone away ’cause he’s been doing nothing but direct to video movies a lot lately for the past several years now. It looks like he’s making a big screen comeback finally? I’ve seen the trailer and it looks surprisingly good. Nic Cage always picks interesting movies.
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – A sequel to the Doctor Strange movie is on the way. No trailer yet but I’m sure we’ll see one soon.
  • Thor: Love and Thunder – Thor 4 is coming out and definitely looking forward to this one. Natalie Portman returns this time so it would be good. I’m a huge fan of the solo Thor movies.
  • Samaritan – A new movie starring Sylvester Stallone coming out soon and I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long while.
  • Creed III – A new Creed installment is coming out in 2022 but this one isn’t gonna have Sylvester Stallone in it. This series will go on without him. I might go see this one depending on how good the trailer is gonna be. We’ll see.
  • Mission Impossible 7 – Another Mission Impossible movie is coming out and I’m a huge fan of this series. I have them all on Blu Ray and will make sure to see this one.
  • Halloween Ends – The David Gordon Green “Halloween” trilogy ends in 2022 so it will be interesting to see how it’s gonna end and it will be interesting to see how Michael Myers is gonna die for good… either that, or they’ll turn things around and make him live again?
  • The Flash – The Flash is getting his own solo movie finally but it’s gonna be a crossover of Batman it looks like… both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton are returning as Batman in this film so it’s gonna be interesting to see how this gonna go. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
  • Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – Aquaman sequel with Jason Momoa and same cast from the first is coming out in the new year. No trailer yet but I’m sure we’ll see one real soon.

There ya go. Enjoy.

Conservatives in America getting hated on for political views is getting tiresome… that’s what the mainstream media and big tech wants, though…

Conservatives getting attacked by lefties for their political views is nothing new… as it has been a problem for decades but that’s now 10 x’s much worse than ever before. Like the title of this blog says though, that’s what the mainstream media and big tech wants, though… it’s their goal to make “conservatives” seem like they’re the bad guys.

I’m a proud die-hard conservative myself and I’m not afraid to publicly express that. Yes, I get attacked for my political views all the time. I’ve had lefties refusing to add me in social media ’cause of it and there are other musicians that refuse to talk to me ’cause of it too. That’s okay, though. I’m proud to be “conservative” and I’m not changing for anyone. Fuck everyone if they don’t like the way I think.

Lately, more and more I’ve been staying away from talking “politics” on my social media. Why? Simply because getting attacked by lefties it’s getting tiresome and boring. It seems to me that lefties follow everything the media says which is why they are called “sheep”… follow the media like sheep. They believe what they say and they seem to follow the same ideas/opinions by Democrat political leaders too.

If you want to have a different opinion than the left then be prepared for a major backlash and get ready to be attacked, ridiculed, made fun of… I can go on. It seems like every time a “right-wing” person wants to post an opinion about something, they almost “always” get offended by the left nowadays and it’s gotten 10 x’s much worse today.

You want to be all for 2nd Amendment and support gun rights (backlash), you want to be against abortion (backlash), you want to have an opinion on lgbtq community (backlash), you want to be against movements like BLM and things like that (again, backlash)… ok I think you get my point…

Now this has gotten much worse under “covid” and the pandemic. You want to be against the vaccine and refuse to wear a mask, once again… backlash.

Pretty much any thought and opinion you have that is different than the left prepared to get your reputation and your life destroyed. We should have the right to speak on anything we please and the way we want to do it but we’re losing that freedom more and more. We have to watch what we say now when we shouldn’t have to.

If you want to post an article or meme that is “right-wing” you’ll either get those fact-checked things or worse get sent to social media jail meaning getting “suspended” either temporarily or permanently.

The mainstream media and big tech doing all they can to make conservatives look bad and they’re doing a very good job of it too.

Look, I’m not saying that all “conservatives” are the good guys ’cause even some of their views and opinions piss me the fuck off despite my own hardcore “right-wing” views. The “conservative” community can be just as divided.

I’m not saying that the left aren’t allowed to have their own opinions and views ’cause they totally are. What I’m saying is that “everybody” in America is welcome to have our own opinions and thoughts ’cause this is America ya know?

All this censorship in social media lately is just unreal, though, I’ve never seen anything like it. I stopped debating politics against lefties ’cause man, lefties are getting so aggressive and hateful nowadays. The media is teaching the left to go after the “right” for having “controversial” and different opinions.

When Trump was president, he did his best to unite both sides which is really hard to do. One day, we’ll unite and stop this “right” vs. “left” crap ’cause we don’t need this and this “right vs. left” thing is getting worse under Biden for sure.

Scary what we’re seeing… ugggghhh…

Just seen Spielberg’s version of “West Side Story” yesterday afternoon… really good! Liked it a lot!

Yesterday afternoon, I went to the movie theaters to check out Spielberg’s version of “West Side Story”. I’ve been interested in it ever since it was announced and since it was being talked about. I had faith in Spielberg that he would make a great “West Side Story” movie and he did. I thought it was really good and knocked it out of the park.

Was this movie very faithful to the Broadway musical in 1957 and the 1961 film? Yes. Although this movie was more closer to the original 1957 play than anything, though. This movie didn’t do very well in box office opening weekend and reviews are mixed. Some complained that there are “woke” racial politics in this film which is true but that’s how it was in the 60’s though and Spielberg wanted to make this film as a way to show how divided it is in today’s America.

I don’t really care about that, though, Steve did a great job doing his first musical. It was well acted by the entire cast. You know how in Spielberg films he always has big name stars as the lead? Well in this film, most of the cast are “unknown” actors except the only well-known star in this film is Corey Stoll who plays Lt. Shrank. Well, one thing that impressed me the most about this cast was that this movie had an original star from the 1961 film by Robert Wise. Rena Moreno played Anita in the 1961 original and this same woman is in the 2021 version but plays a different character.

In Spielberg’s version, the songs are the same except there were like a few I didn’t hear before? Were they brand new written for the film exclusively or were they songs taken from the 1957 play and not heard in the 1961 film?

Anyway, while Spielberg’s version had lots of similarities of the 1961 movie, there will be a lot of differences too ’cause this is just Steve’s vision. This was how Steve saw it in his head. Same story but there were plenty of things added to explain things better and make things a little more realistic.

I thought Steve’s take on “West Side Story” was very well done but it still don’t top the 1961 original by Robert Wise ’cause I’ll always love the original. I’ll give Spielberg “West Side Story” a score of 8/10. Definitely worth watching if you’re fan.

Today is a day of remembrance of four important musicians: John Lennon, Dimebag Darrell, Jim Morrison and Gregg Allman…

John Lennon’s death date: Dec. 8th, 1980

Dimebag’s death date: Dec. 8th, 2004

Jim Morrison birthday: Dec. 8th, 1943

Gregg Allman birthday: Dec. 8th, 1947

Dec. 8th will always be a very important day for music simply for these 4 geniuses. I love all 4 of them. They may be gone but the music is not forgotten.

Best moment from the Beatles “Get Back” doc was when Paul McCartney’s daughter Heather joins in with the band after seeing Yoko doing those weird chants…

The Beatles spent a lot of time rehearsing and recording for their album “Let it Be”. There was a day when Paul McCartney invites his wife and his daughter to try and brighten up the band members after working so hard. I think Paul brought little Heather in to cheer the band up some.

There was a funny moment in the doc when little Heather witnesses Yoko doing those weird chants and even Heather looked a little freaked out.

A few minutes later, Heather wanted to join in with the Beatles so she excitedly walks up to John’s mic and John looks at her, nodded his head letting her know it’s “okay” for her to sing with the Beatles.

To be honest, Heather was more enjoyable to listen to than Yoko, lmao. I thought this was one of the cool moments in the doc. It was funny.
