Top Ten movies I look forward to seeing in the fall…

The summer is over and the first film to kick off the fall season of Hollywood is “Bangkok Dangerous”, a new thriller starring Nicolas Cage. I do want to see this one too but there are other good films this fall I want to see. The summer of blockbuster movies and popcorn movies are over. This is now the season where all the dramas and serious films comes in.

Here is the top ten list of each film I plan on seeing definitely this fall:

1. Bangkok Dangerous

2. 007 – Quantum of Solace

3. Righteous Kill (starring Al Pacino/Robert Deniro)

4. Appaloosa (a new Western cowboy film that stars Ed Harris and he directed it too)

5. Eagle Eye (a thriller stars Shia Labeouf, movie actually looks promising)

6. Rock N’ Rolla (new film by Guy Ritchie)

7. Body of Lies (new Ridley Scott directed film that stars Leo Dicaprio and Russell Crowe)

8. W. (as much as I hate President W. Bush, I do want to see this film, it actually looks real good)

9. The Changeling (Clint Eastwood directed starring Angelina Jolie)

10. Twilight

Cool Video: Lars Ulrich thanks fans in youtube who cover Metallica songs on video…

Lars Ulrich put up his first personal video blog, to personally thank fans who put up youtube videos of fans covering Metallica songs on guitar and bass or whatever instrument they play. You’re a musician, you cover a Metallica song in a video and you don’t think Metallica themselves isn’t watching them? Well, you thought wrong. 🙂 The band watches all videos posted about Metallica in youtube as Lars explained here. Lars explains that the band is flattered and happy that musicians in youtube cover Metallica songs.

Enjoy.

Thought: We will hear from Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson soon on whether or not they will be down for Ghostbusters 3…

To my understanding Bill, Harold, Dan, and Ernie are still working on voice overs for the “Ghostbusters” video game. I’m sure we’ll hear from the gang soon on whether or not they will be casted for “Ghostbusters 3”.

I know Bill Murray has constantly denied of playing Peter Venkmen in a live action film again, but I’m sure he had a change of heart about it now that Ghostbusters 3 finally got the greenlight.

I’m sure we’ll hear from the 4 men soon, maybe next week or later this month or in the future. It’s either Columbia already asked them to star in the movie while they were still making the video game and they’re being secretive about it or they haven’t even asked them at all yet.

That Variety article said “they may” return to Ghostbusters 3 so that’s a sign, it’s a possibility Columbia already asked them. It’ll make sense if the 4 comes back to the live action movie they all agreed to do the video game. It’ll seem weird if they are in the video game and not in the movie, that is not good marketing for the video game.

I think Bill, Harold, Dan and Ernie will be in it for sure. It would be wrong if they weren’t in it. The movie would bomb without them. Of course, Dan Aykroyd would agree to be in it ’cause he and Harold has been fighting for a Ghostbusters 3 for many years and they’re dream finally happened! I’m sure Dan Aykroyd would give the “Office” writers lots of good story ideas for the next one as he has done in the first two.

Thought: What we should see in Ghostbusters 3….

-The return of Slimer

-If Sigourney Weaver returns as Dana and Rick Moranis returns as Louis, Dana’s son Oscar is a full grown young adult now. Peter Venkman spends a lot of time with an adult Oscar becomes close friends. Even if Sigourney doesn’t return, Oscar should still be in the third one. As far as Louis goes, he should be married to Janine the Ghostbusters secretary.

-The four former Ghostbusters: Egon, Ray, Peter and Winston are all retired moved on to their regular day jobs. They hear that new people want to become Ghosbusters, so the original Ghostbusters decide to help and train them once they find out that ghosts still attack the city.

-Walter Peck, a villain from the first Ghostbusters movie makes a return, decides to give the Ghostbusters team more hell.

-No Staypuff the Marshmellow Man return, he should be left out.

-No Dr. Janosz Poha return, the art gallery musuem doctor who kidnaps baby Oscar and brings to Vigo in Ghostbusters II. Dr. Janosz was an annoying character and shouldn’t be in the third one.

-Ghostbusters 3 should have a new ghost villain that is good and creative. Something different. It should be something scary and dark.

-Either Ivan Reitman or Harold Ramis should direct the next installment. Either would make me happy.

-The script for Ghostbusters 3 should be a dark story, not a happy/family one like Ghostbusters II was.

-The Ghostbusters shouldn’t be thrown in jail or in a mental hospital ’cause that’s already been done in the first two films. I don’t think we need that in the third.

The Listening Room: 6 Metallica songs from “Death Magnetic”…

Just like the old days of Metallica. Their songs start off with a few minutes of guitar music and then James vocals come in later in the song, good old Metallica.

Metallica uploaded a player on their website with 6 songs from “Death Magnetic” 3 we already heard and they uploaded 3 new tracks we’ve never heard.

The new album is sounding amazing so far. Album comes out next Friday September 12th, it will be only available to buy at Best Buy exclusively and of course I’m sure you can order from the band’s website.

Enjoy:

Report: Lindsay Lohan turns down $700,000 Playboy pictorial offer…

Look like Lindsay posing nude for New York Magazine is a one off for sure. Hugh Hefner and Playboy empire approached her an offer $700,000 for a cover and a nude pictorial, but her reps said she turned it down. She’ll be happy to pose for a cover but no nudity in the magazine.

More on it here:

Good for Lindsay.

She looks like a normal and natural girl when she did those nude photos for New York Magazine.

Imagine what Playboy will make her look like if she agreed to do it. They’ll make her all perfect looking like all the other typical Playboy models are with photoshop and body make up magic.

Report: Duff McKagan doesn’t like being called a rock star…

Duff McKagan a former Gn’R man wrote a very good blog on how he doesn’t like being called a “rock star”. He explains how he doesn’t see himself being famous over music. He sees himself as a normal simple guy enjoying life, spending time with family and making music. He sees himself as a regular music lover like all of us.

Read Duff’s blog on it here (Duff himself is even replying to reader’s comments in his blog entries):

Great post Duff! I agree with you 100%, it’s good to see you don’t have an ego attitude like most so called “rock stars” have.

Thought: Would Harold Ramis direct “Ghostbusters 3” if Ivan Reitman isn’t down?

We heard the shocking news of Columbia making a third “Ghostbusters” movie. Finally getting the film off the ground.

If Ivan Reitman isn’t down for directing, Columbia should definitely go for Harold Ramis to helm “Ghostbusters 3”.

Ramis has a lot of directing experience. He’s directed the first “Caddyshack” film, the first “National Lampoon’s Vacation” film, he’s also directed “Groundhog Day”, “Analyze This” and ” Analyze That”, “Bedazzled”, “Multiplicity” and “The Ice Harvest”.

I think Harold Ramis himself would do a great job directing a Ghostbusters movie. They should definitely get Ramis to helm the next one. It’ll be a smart move.
