A badass song by a badass band. Yes is another band that is long overdue for a Hall of Fame induction. I love this band.
If you don’t have any of their music especially their album, “Fragile”, then sorry… you aren’t a true lover of music.

After years of trying to figure out how to eliminate background hiss when recording at home on a PC, I think I finally figured out where it was coming from. It wasn’t coming from the M-Audio Fast Track. It’s not because this room isn’t sound proofed. I think the culprit is definitely the microphone itself. It’s a Shure SM58 which is a dynamic mic so it’s not really the best mic for home recording. It’s a good enough sounding mic for performing at live shows but for home recording no. For home recording, I think I would need a condenser mic in which I do have.
I just learned the difference between dynamic mic and condenser mic:
http://homerecording.about.com/od/microphones101/a/mic_types.htm
The Condenser mic I have is the Shure SM86 which is a phantom powered microphone:
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SM86
I bought the Shure SM58 and SM86 myself years ago. The Shure SM86 Condenser have never been used yet because I don’t have anything with phantom power.
That’s why I want to get the Focusrite Scarlett 214 ’cause it’s a phantom powered interface and I might be able to use the SM86 on it:
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Scarlett2i4
The SM86 wasn’t a cheap microphone at all as you can see, I bought it for $180 years back. Still have it, just never used it and would like to use it. To use a phantom power mic, it takes special connections in order to use so I’m gonna research into it. I wanna use the SM86 for home recording at some point.
Maybe all the hissing is coming from the old M-Audio Fast Track. If I get a better audio interface, maybe that’ll help get a better sound,
Well, like I keep saying I think I’m definitely gonna upgrade from the M-Audio Fast Track to Focusrite Scarlett 214. I wanna a bigger and better sound. Trying all I can to get that perfect and clean sound I’m looking for. That’s okay ’cause I think M-Audio Fast Track is garbage anyway… I never liked that interface and looking for something even better. The Focusrite looks just right for me.

Bono claims that he may never play guitar again due to his bike accident. As you all know Bono hurt himself last Nov. in New York City in a bicycle accident. He hurt himself pretty bad. Now he is worried that he may never play guitar again.
It may not seem like that Bono is a guitar player but he is. He’s been playing guitar for U2 for many years. If you watch the live U2 video performances in youtube you can see plenty of videos of Bono playing guitar. He may not be a virtuoso but he’s just a rhythm guitarist from the looks of things. The Edge does all of the lead guitar work obviously. Bono sings most of the time on the stage.
I don’t think his guitar playing days are over as he claims. I’m sure there are ways to get his strength for his arms back and stuff. He might have to relearn guitar all over again, though.
I don’t get all the u2 hate. I’ve always liked them and still do. I’m not that crazy about their newer music… I was more into the earlier U2 like the stuff they did in the early 80’s and early 90’s. My favorite U2 albums were “October”, “The Joshua Tree”, “Unforgettable Fire”, “Zooropa”, “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” and “Achtung Baby”. Everything else they did was kind of, meh.
U2 doesn’t suck, though. They should be respected ’cause look at how many legendary bands out there that stuck together for a long time with the same members? U2 had a 30 year or more career and they’ve always been the same 4 guys: Bono, Adam, Larry and Edge. Many bands over the years have had many replacements in the lineup but not U2. If that’s not impressive, then I don’t know what else it is.

Another great Elly Maye video. So there aren’t any crazy and dumb leftist people, hey? Well, you may wanna watch this video and decide for yourself.

The audio interface that I currently have is the M-Audio Fast Track…
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FastTrackUSB/
I plugged the M-Audio Fast Track to see if it will work. It does. I can hear myself play and sing through the thing but the only thing is that the audio skips at some times and acts all weird. I found out why that the M-Audio Fast Track doesn’t support Windows 7. You can see it in the link above that the Fast Track doesn’t support Windows 7 64 bit. The Fast Track may still work but it probably won’t record the audio on the newer DAW’s that are out there. All the new DAW’s out there probably won’t support the old M-Audio Fast Track anymore.
So I’m in definite need of a new audio interface which I’m gonna start saving up for the Focusrite Scarlett 214.
As for DAW, I’ve also been looking at Reaper as this have also been getting positive reviews:
Reaper is also very popular in the musicians community so I’ll probably start with that one soon. I’ll go with the $60 version.
All this technology with music is kind of frustrating, ya know? Having to re-buy all of this equipment so you can keep recording. That’s why all these DAW’s keep coming out with new versions so it can force you to buy new products. Just their sneaky way of making more money. That’s how they make the money.
I gotta have these things so I can record on, ya know? I gotta continue to make music ’cause I love it and can’t live without it. I’ll continue to record songs on the Ipad, though ’cause I was impressed with the sound quality on that thing. The sound quality on the Ipad is cleaner than the PC, in my opinion.
As you can see, I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to technology and music recording but I’m getting the hang of these things.

Uncle Ted may not be everyone’s favorite ’cause of his politics but love him or hate him, he’s a rock n’ roll genius. All the haters and doubters will never admit that, right? Like it or not, it can’t be denied he had a very successful rock n’ roll career and he’s still kicking ass! This is one of my favorite rock tunes of all time. Great riff, guitar solos and Derek’s voice is just killer!!!
When ever I get a rock band together, I definitely wanna cover this one myself.

Honestly, I’m beginning to become a little skeptical of that “Mixcraft” software so I think I’m gonna scratch that idea and look for something different down the road. I’m reading that people are experiencing computer crashes with “Mixcraft” and I read somewhere that the software only works with certain audio interfaces. I won’t bother getting “Mixcraft” and will search for something different down the road. I will continue to research DAW’s though. I gotta find DAW that’ll work with Focusrite Scarlett 214.
I’m still gonna save up for the Focusrite Scarlett interface and the studio monitors, though. Just gotta find a good DAW that would work with that stuff and I’m gonna research into it.

It’s pretty sad that libtards in America are so worried about the Bush administration torturing terrorists who were responsible for over 10,000 American deaths yet they aren’t concerned about the torture of Ambassador Stevens. I could care less if terrorists were tortured ’cause they deserved it anyway. It’s very strange how libtards want the Bush administration to be held accountable for torturing terrorists yet they don’t want the Obama administration to be held accountable for torturing Ambassador Stevens and killing those 4 Americans.
The man being dragged around by those men hasn’t been confirmed as Ambassador Stevens yet but I think it’s him. It definitely looks like him. Hopefully, Trey Gowdy will confirm that’s him in the photos pretty soon. Anybody who believes that those men are helping him to a nearby hospital is delusional.
I take it that libtards support terrorism. They are beginning to show it more and more.
How is it a good thing that those 4 men were killed for no reason, no help came and nobody got any answers??? Yet libtards beg for answers on the Bush administration torture? More liberal hypocrisy there so nothing to see.

I don’t get the hype of that “Boyhood” movie. I’m not gonna even see it in theater and gonna wait for DVD rental, I think. To me the movie doesn’t even look all that good. It looks like some boring typical drama where couples can get together to watch. Not my kind of thing. I’ll see it but when it comes out on DVD, I’ll check it out and rent it through Netflix. People are saying it’s the best film of the year and I don’t see how.
To me, Chris Nolan’s “Interstellar” is the best film of the year. I’m not interested in that “Boyhood” movie and I wouldn’t be surprised that “Boyhood” would be winning BEST PICTURE at the Oscars.
I respect Richard Linklater. That dude is a talented director as I loved what he did with “School of Rock” but “Boyhood” doesn’t look anything special.
I thought the “Fault In Our Stars” movie was much more interesting. The “Fault In Our Stars” movie was really good I thought, just not enough to make my top 15 movies of 2014.
“Boyhood” looks like that “Parenthood” TV show on NBC which is not my cup of tea.
People are acting like that “Boyhood” was the first film that took years to make. Wrong. David Lynch’s “Eraserhead” took 5 years and the Disney animated version of “Sleeping Beauty” took 8 years. James Cameron’s “Avatar” also took 10 years. The animated film “The Thief and the Cobbler” took 28 years to make so sorry “Boyhood”, not even close!!!

I hate revealing my New year’s resolutions ’cause they are pretty much the same and some of them don’t really happen. If I were to name a few of my New Year’s Resolutions… I’ll try to name a few…
That’s it. Enjoy.
